Under her continued assault the wood from the door would tear away with too much strenuous effort on Seiko's part. It was her vocal prodding that truly casue results however when the frantic nasally responded to her. "G-go away! there's nothing for you here! I'm just an old man trying to live in peace!" Tumbling could be heard through the walls before all went silent and Seiko would be left staring into the empty black hall. The foot prints in three inch layer of dust along the floor made it clear that someone had recently trespassed through the area, although I'm sure actually hearing the man's voice was dead giveaway also. Besides the dust there was a remarkable lack of distinctive features, the walls were pure black and devoid of any paintings or the like. All that could be see was a door at the other end with it's handle turned upward and left slightly ajar. From here it looked like Seiko could wait or rush on ahead of her group but the small life-force she had been sensing up until now completely vanished.

It wouldn't be but just a moment until the third member of this team walked passed her. Zoe watched along as the young girl stepped through the rubble and found her way to a door that she easily opened. Taking her own steps to follow along, the young purple haired female kept a short distance from Seiko until the room was revealed from behind her. Zoe would say nothing. It seemed that Seiko was able to perceive things that normal eyes could not due to the fact that she walked straight towards her goal. For the time being, she would do nothing but follow. There seemed to be little reason to do much more and she could always use a stronger technique to level the entire area if she needed to do so.
Shisui seemed to have fallen behind Seiko, who's unnatural dojutsu seemed to be leading the way into the long forgotten cavern. As they ventured further in, the dust agitated his nostrils, releasing a sharp sneeze. He looked about, eyes still adjusting to the light. A voice echoed out from the darkness. He shouted into the abyss. " I don't think anyone intends to harm innocent people, but if you're the one who murdered that gate guard there's hell to pay!" He would await the response.

It didn't take long for her visage to adjust accordingly to the dank hallway after she had pried the door open. It was dark and dusty, and although the latter wasn't her favorite thing in the world, she supposed it could have been worse. Since she had been originally focused on the fading light of life she had discerned just moments ago, Seiko didn't see the footprints in the dust until her own began to tread over them. She made it a fraction of the way down the hall before she shifted back to face the pair, her face deadpan, "I seriously doubt an old man could scurry out of here that fast."
The heel of her foot then dragged across the floor in front of her, pushing up a cloud of dust around her ankles, "Nor could he actually live like this." The disgust in her voice was evident and after a moment, her eyes shifted to the purple haired girl. Initially, Seiko was tempted to request another wind jutsu to just clean all this up or a fire jutsu to relight the hallway, but her intuition told her that it would be unwise to waste time.
So, with an exasperated sigh, she turned forward again and took quick, quiet steps to the door. Ever so gently, she pushed the ajar door open and all the while a voice sang in her ear, Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back.

__ Kagami appeared on the coastline of the Land of Fire. She was surrounded by volcanos and merely seated herself on a large igneous rock. Her sakkakugan stared across the sea in wait for the fireworks that would inevitably begin with Sandayu unleashing his full wrath. Before she could get bored, she felt the earth begin to shake and braced herself. Seven massive meteors fell from the sky in their descent on the village. "I just hope he listened to me about evacuating civilians." She thought to absolve herself from guilt. Kagami was able to manipulate herself better than anybody, especially in these moments. She watched chaos, hellfire, and then oblivion unfolding in front of her. Kagami's nemesis in Chie was dead and now Uzushiogakure was being vanquished and she hardly had to lift a finger. The power of words, seduction, deception, these were the tricks of her trade that caused colossal war. It seemed that her mission was already most of the way over. Her vengeance upon the village society that killed her family, destroyed her home, and discarded her was finally coming to an end and a brave new world was being ushered in. Her somber mood quickly and unexpectedly turned into bone-chilling cackling escaping from the enchantress's lips. "I'd like to see you bastards rebuild after this!" She yelled toward the ocean between cackles of amusement that she was unable to control. In her solitude, Kagami relished this moment of being able to finally break chains. She was gladly nourishing the tree of liberty with the blood of tyrants through Kogarashi. She enjoyed her rest as the overwhelming feeling of victory consumed her.

As soon as the last member in the party of heroes stepped through the door is when the magic happened. First they would notice the room to be remarkable bare with the exception of four wells in each corner of the room, along with with what looked to be a pedestal in the middle of the room that held a single button. Second they would notice the door behind them shut close and bright white seals burning themselves in a line around the entire room that looped back into itself. Thirdly a voice would echo from the room from seemingly nowhere, where each of the trio would be able to recognize as the voice at the gate only without the obviously fake accent that he had been sporting to disguise himself with. "Haha you fools! You clowns! You utter buffoons! You're probably thinking by now.. oh noooo I fell right into a traaap waaaahh. Well you're right! I've got you all right where I want now and thanks to my ingenious foresight, you can't even mold chakra in my room! hahaha!" After a truly incessant laugh the nasily voice cut out from the speaker.. or at least seemed to when a light whisper could be heard in the background. "Ohh you would not believe how my day is turning out memzy. No just keep.. yeah right there. Oh and get my ducky please? quackims needs his is daily love dose yes he.. what? the speakers still on? AHHH FU-" The speakers cut out before their capture could so eloquently describe his anger, although the precariousness of their situation hadn't diminished at all. In fact, everything seemed to be going down faster than a construction worker with no arms and vertigo. At the top of the other door, that was presumably the exit, where numbers that started going down from twenty. As each one counted down, the shadows from the wells in each corner would bubble slightly out of their containers and take over part of the room. If appeared that if the magnificent trio couldn't come up with the answer quickly they would be overtaken in the inky blackness.

Obei's form appeared all at once. The towering oni clan member felt the sand beneath her feet while she walked over by Kagami, careful not to spread on her superior. The blue witch shouted her success to the heavens while Obei could only sit still and simply watch. Thoughts were running through her head. For a village that was built out of slave labor, she didn't exactly see much of it. There weren't any people in cages lie Kagami had told her. Instead such sights were more so of people defending their home from Invaders as onlookers watch in fear. Her crimson eyes looked to the ground as the words kept coming to her.
"Please stop...I can't lose anybody else."
Her gauntlets twitched and raised to her ears, clawing at them as she tried to make it go away. The cries from the crimson haired child, in tears and begging Kagami. She let out not a huff but a whine. A gasp for air as the words cycled on repeat endlessly for a good long while. Her breathing was increasing steadily throughout the ordeal until finally, Obei was granted peace. Her arms fell to the Sandy shoes below while looking back at Kagami and then the ocean. Her heart felt...strange. Heavy, slow. In pain. Breathing felt like a chore despite nothing afflicting her. It was a sensation that she wished not to feel.

As the group walked into the room and everything started happening, Zoe would place her hands together and attempt to mold chakra to blow open a hole in the wall. Unfortunately for them, nothing would happen. For a moment, she thought to herself. It was brief. She went through various scenarios in her head and acted as if she hadn't thought about things at all, at least to the others in the room. She took a quick leap over to the center of the room and pressed the button. As soon as she had finished with this movement, she pulled a kunai from her pouch and threw it at the strange shadows bubbling out from the walls.
Like magic, the moment that Zoe pressed the button the shadows receded back into their wells and the clock at the top of the door was set back to twenty. Only one problem was that the doors did not open? Instead the clock started counting down once again. nineteen, eighteen, seventeen, and just as before the shadows continued their assault. Her kunai piercing the darkness, made a useless ping as it hit the stonework behind it.

__ When she heard Obei's arrival she turned around. The giantess seemed highly distressed which caused the delighted Kagami immense confusion. She did not see how anyone in Kogarashi could possibly be upset by the sight before them. "Are you okay? What's wrong?" Her eyes softened and she asked in a gentle tone while Obei groaned from emotional pain. Kagami suspected that perhaps Obei was having second thoughts about this? Maybe she ate the wrong food?

Kagami's words echoed in the oni's ears as she gave the blue mistress a distressed look and then would move her body back to face the ocean again. "Obei heart hurt. Very hurt." she slid her right gauntlet off as it hit the sand below with an audible thud. The hand that was freed would glow an ethereal color of blue, looking almost frostbit even. She brought it to her chest and would clutch her chest hard."Kah-Gah-Mi say people in cages. Village people evil. But Obei look at village. No cage or people in. People scared. Defend home. Girl cry to stop...Obei feel bad." Some feelings arose in her while she let out a frustrated grunt and then would place both hands on her head again. "Obei not like. Want pain to stop."

__ It was clear that Obei was feeling immense guilt from their actions. As Kagami remembered the events which led to her becoming a rogue and losing her family all sense of guilt was absolved from her soul. It was clear that this was the right action to take no matter how frightened people were by change. Kagami heard her out all the same and then spoke softly. "Obei, calm down and listen to me. The people you saw in that academy were ninjas. Those are the people who are trying to defend the evil system. There was much that you didn't see. There are people in that village crying for their freedom. The cage is the village itself and its walls and its laws. Oppression is a lot more complicated than it looks." She took a break from speaking as she stood up and walked toward the distressed oni. Obei would hear Kagami's voice as incredibly soothing and persuasive. She would feel her painful guilt begin to melt away and feel newly reassured in Kogarashi's cause. "The villages are the ones you should hate, you did a great job today and accomplished many heroic deeds. I command you to save all of your negative energy for the evil villages and continue to wholeheartedly support Kogarashi." The enchantress's seductive voice would take all of her pain away and her commands were easy to Obei obey.

The room they had been trapped within seemed to become more and more dangerous. First, the seals that had lined the room. The white bright fuuinjutsu would be unrecognized to Shisui as he was unfamiliar with....most if not all ninja arts. The spearkers that broadcast the insults would just cause Shisui to sigh, realizing that they had been captured by some sort of idiot gang. " Annoying." he said to himself as the man flipped off the speaker. The name Memsy was thrown about, even stranger to Shisui. They couldn't mold chakra....that wasn't too concerning for Shisui since he didn't know too many useful ninjutsu anyway.
The purple haired girl that he had encountered attempted to find an exit by pressing a button and throwing a Kunai. The kunai seemed to not do much, but the button reset their timer. He drew took his blade in hand and raised it to meet his other hand as well, holding it before him. He moved forward toward the door, raising the blade as he brought it down along the crack between the door and frame. He aimed to slice the locking mechanism within,hoping to free the door. While his chakra was useless, the blade never was. [ B Ranked Formless Slash Used ]

Button remaining unpressed now, the room now began to into one with a much more threatening atmosphere. The shadows dancing along the floor now consumed the feet of all standing in the room and were in the process of taking over the ceiling now while hanging down like stalagmites. It was clear their situation was dangerous and credit where it was due, trying to force the mechanism was a brilliant idea! However the strength of the black steel seemed able to withstand the force that his weapon was able to exert. The clock now turned a deep red and was now the only source of light in the room, bathing all in it's impassive blanket. Unless they pressed the button again this next action would be the last they could try.

The slight tingle of a chill running down Seiko's spine caused her to wiggle her shoulders, as if to shake away both the creepy and confounding nature of their predicament. Although she didn't feel as if she were particularly worried, the flourish of lights, shadows and numbers threatened to conflict with her own sensory processing skills. The purple haired kunoichi had simply reset the timer, and the nin with the sword had eliminated the use of brute force to exit the room.
They were being watched, or at the very least perceived in some way by the voice that had erupted from nothingness earlier. Seiko shifted on her feet in a slow circle, her lips parted in the shape of a small 'o' before her gaze settled back in on the timer.
The red and blacks that danced in the room licked at her cheeks. She could not quite decipher the shadows from her own imagination, but even as they seemed to grow around them, she took slow steps forward. Her hand reached up the closer she got to the button, moving as if it were moving through water. Part of her was tempted to push the button, to slap her hand down and give them twenty more seconds - hopefully - to just think. But, a bigger part of her remained curious. What would happen if she did nothing? If the timer struck zero and the darkness enclosed them? Seiko's lips twitched slightly, tickled once more, but for a very different reason. Although she held no obligation to either the people beside her, she could not forget that purple bouncing ball that lead her to Zoe. If the intricacies of her mind construed the path to the woman for a reason, it would be foolish of her to reject it by keeping them in danger.
But, if the walls couldn't be broken and steel did nothing to the shadows, then what could she do? Nothing. So, that's exactly what she did, "Don't. Touch. Anything." Seiko's gaze remained fixed as her hand returned to her side and the time projected on the wall dwindled down to zero.
