Speed dating didn't usually involve three people and Inoke was rather sure it still didn't even if 'science' was involved. You didn't just shove polyamory onto people. You also really didn't shove people into it with genders they weren't attracted to.

But friends right? That's what this was supposed to be about. Making some that weren't Arland even if keeping his circle of friends small seemed like a better idea.

"It's just Inoke, thanks." He looked between October and Lunaire as October babbled. "Minipets? No ... maybe before they repodded me? But i don't think so."

Jolene looked uncertain about the question, more curious about what Joy did for fun than relationship stuff. "I don't really know. I like the idea of friends, though." She smiled brightly. "With all this rain lately, what do you do for boredom?" Because Jolene had been mostly putting together really old worn puzzles in her room and wondered what else there could be.

Nash tilted his head slightly towards Melody as she whispered in his ear, then lifted it again once she was done. There was an amused expression on his face, his smile growing a little, tugging at his lips.

"Yes," he said lightly. "I'm a guy. And?"

A shoulder rose and fell in a shrug.

"Maybe. I was a bit when I as a kid, and there was a lot of s**t going on, but..."

Nash unfolded his arms and held them out on either side, palms facing upwards in a gesture that clearly said who knows? "I can't live my entire life based around being afraid. If I do something, I do it. If I don't want to do it, I don't do it. If I wanna wear a ********' skirt every now and then, I'm gonna do it."

Melody received a smile as Nash lowered his hands again, resting them back on the desk he was leaning against.

"Life's too short, especially in a place like this, to care much."

"This is hardly science, its a mixer of strangers some of whom," she paused looking around the room to glare at her sister who would likely be lurking near by. "Didn't sign up for it," she finally finished before focusing on the two boys in front of her.

"Umbrellas are practical and practically required with how much rain we get here, I never played Tomodachi Life, I prefer MMO's and what is a Minipet? As you can guess I don't have one."

She glanced towards Inoke this time raising an eyebrow clearly more curious about his statement. "Before they re-podded you? As in you chose to go back to sleep or they forced you?" Her eyes seemed to light up at this, curiosity getting the better of her in a situation she would have normally avoided.

Well that would certainly explain a few things. Zeke nodded at the explanation, his head lifting so he could look past Merric and out into the room of gathered hunters, glancing from face to face, curious how many others might have misunderstood what this was all about, but a glance rally wasn't enough to gauge that.

"So this was a bit of a surprise to you then, huh?" Hazel green slid back to Merric. Idly he wondered where Roswell was, if he'd just decided not to go, but it was a passing thought, not really that important.

Still smiling, he shifted so he could lean up against the wall. "At the very least, it does provide an opportunity to meet people." There was certainly a wide variety here tonight.

Oliver returned a smile that was a bit more relaxed. Kade's words reinforced his idea that this was really just a sort of social training exercise, and as quiet as he was, it would be a good opportunity to get to know some of the newer arrivals.

"That makes sense, it's always better to know you can trust people before the situation forces you into it." He scanned the room for a soft vacant space, and then headed towards a small pile of pillows nobody had claimed yet.

"How about here?" he asked, innocently glancing up again for agreement or approval. It was Oliver's mannerisms that made him seem smaller than he was, as though any confidence was hidden behind years of timid habit. "I don't think I've ever seen this many blankets and pillows all in one place since... uh... ever."
