Upon returning to the Mongoose, Light had found a few more acorns and took it back to the cave for the critter to eat.
After that, he took it in his mouth again and ran out of the cave and focused on reaching 'safety'.

He thought he was going towards the right direction but he heard the splashing of water...
The stream filled with piranhas...
As quickly as he could, he turned and steered himself away from danger and headed down a path less traveled on...

Light felt like he was running into every bad choice possible. No path seemed to be safe wherever he went...
Without even realising, while occupied with many what ifs in his mind, they have stumbled upon a quiet clearing.
And alongside the orange poppies, grew sweet smelling herbs. He put the Mongoose down and nibbled on some leaves. He somehow managed to get the Mongoose eat a few bites to help lessen its pain. Probably because it saw him eat the leaves first.
Energized and all, he ran up ahead and back, making sure the Mongoose was still following him.
OOC Footnote 20: You find an herb known for its curative properties on your way to your safe spot. You feed it to your charge, gaining 3 trust. The herb also helps your charge move faster, and you move 10 units with a sudden burst of speed. He seemed to have ran too far ahead of the Mongoose and almost ran off of a cliff.
Gasping for air as he just managed to stop and wobble backwards a few steps, glad to be still alive, he ran back towards the Mongoose. He had to lead the critter in yet another direction.

For the next little while, Light in the Ocean avoided all paths with overgrown shrubbery.
He didn't want himself or the critter to fall and pummel to their deaths..

On the lookout for predators, he also avoided any streams they came across upon, in case there were gators or piranhas waiting below the water's surface...

When he saw the feral sleeping bear again, just up ahead and down their path, Light got very surprised.
Did they walk in a complete circle?

Some time has passed but the Mongoose did not budge. Light noticed it was not being stubborn but was asleep...
He smiled a hummed it a lullaby like he did towards his babies when he was with Above Heartache. But alas, his babies are all grown up now.

To his luck, they stumbled upon mushrooms.
With a glittering glimmer in his eyes, he plucked two of the mushrooms from the bark, and got the Mongoose to eat it after showing it that it was not poisonous by eating some first.

They traveled far, but the critter all of a sudden stopped.
Light nosed it, wondering what went wrong. The critter didn't budge and laid close to the ground.
The acha coo'd and nosed it gently, and after a while it started to move again.
