I have always felt like I was the guardian of others that it was my job to protect the soq that came to me for protection. It is true that I've helped many but they always move on with their life. Which is good, I want the soq I've helped to be physically and emotionally healthy but I get lonely. I want a companion who would stay with me at least for a long time. I feel I would be a great mother and while I haven't met a male or female who could be my romantic partner. I'm sure I could be a great single parent and be both stern and caring. A pair of bones, tied in an X with hair from her mane and a feather from the base of her wings Short IC Response: Macaria took a cautious look around before entering the open area to ascend the hill. Good, the area seemed clear for the moment. This wouldn't take long. At the apex of the hill, she dipped her head and dislodged the trinket that hung from one of her horns with a shake. A pair of bones, bound with some of her hair and a feather or two from the base of her wings tumbled onto the offering stone. After a second glance around, she raised narrowed eyes to the stars above.
"I don't know if this will work...but I suppose it's worth a shot," she started with a huff. "It's so hard to find good help. Obedient, strong...worthy of serving someone like myself. Clearly, it would be best if trained from a young age for such loyalty. And anything to come from myself is surely to be worthy. However, my searches for a worthy male to give me such offspring has been for naught. It has become obvious that I must search for another way. I wish...for a young one. A strong, obedient minion to be raised in my image, worthy of my greatness." In truth, the kalona mare had never felt herself drawn to the task of motherhood, nor infatuated with the children of others. With some thought on the matter, it made sense that if she wished to lead a formidable army, then the founding members would best come from herself. Besides, she was sure her own children would never be as obnoxious as others' were.
Looking satisfied with her stated wish, the kalona mare glanced around again before descending the hill. If this plan didn't work, then she'd have to make another...

Each played to their own strengths or supported the others. But for this they were at a bit of lose. While one of them had come from a star herself, none of them were quite sure how to really go about this whole wishing upon a star business.It wasn't a strength any of them really had or understood enough to step to foward in leading. So for most of their journey to the star's resting place they stood as equals, leaning on each other with soft whispered words and playing nudges and nips. They had journeyed to they star with all the same thought in their minds. Their small family had settled into its new life well and it was time for the next step. A child, children would be even better. As the neared the star, Adriel moved foward to take the lead ever so slightly. One of his own scales in a mother of pearl shell, and a special starfish he found in the ocean, Short IC Response: The stallion's nose wrinkled as he made his way forward to look at the star, a bit confused. It was hard for him to make sense of things, but someone had told him this star was special. He was lonely....why not give this a chance...? "The Shell knows that it is silly to speak to the stars, because he is not completely silly like people think....but the Shellshell is VERY lonely. He left his herdpod behind a long long time ago, and he misses others like him. He was very happy with his life, and he knows this is maybe asking too much, but....The shellshell just wants to feel like he maybe has familythings. He misses his sister the most. His mother and father were not very nice...but his baby sister was the nicest of all. Shell will give the star pretty things if the Star would....maybe think about letting Shell see his sister again....She was so very nice..."

A silver band with the Claddagh engraved upon it. Short IC Response: The stallion had heard rumors that made his heart pound and memories long since locked away surface with a vengeance. His first love, his heart’s mate, Anela had given birth to a son in secret. His son. The foal had grown up under the tutelage of some knight, never knowing his true parentage, or so the source of the rumor said. Could it be true? The old knight almost did not dare to hope just in case his dreams were dashed, but perhaps that is what wishing was all about. His emerald eyes looked to the myriad of stars above his head, his voice still held the accent that Anela had loved, “Great Stars Above, I ask you to grant me my wish. I wish to meet my son.” It was a short statement; he did not see why he should go into detail. “Thank you Great Stars.” He bowed his head, left the silver band Anela had given him years ago, and then slowly walked back to where his mate slept.

A small painting done with her inky tails Short IC Response:Etai Aijou bounded up the hill to get the best view of the elusive star that she had heard so much about. Her tails lashed about behind her madly with excitement. Any watching would be baffled how she managed not to tangle them with their erratic movements. "Hey there star," Etai muttered. "I don't really know what to say, I mean I hear about the soquili making wishes on stars all the time. I'm not even sure you're the right star. I mean it could be that one, or that one, or that one," she rambled on. Her nervousness was getting the best of her and she became a bit distracted. It took her a moment of her wandering mind searching to make sure this was the correct star before she continued. "But anyway, I'm really hoping I got the right star 'cause I'd love to have a little basket. Having a little foal would be so amazing. It sounds like such an adventure." She stood there staring at the sky as she second guessed her choice of star once again but instead of trying to make her case to every star in the sky she shook her mane, hoped for the best, and bound off again.

I suppose I can introduce myself, though. It is only polite, even if you are a star." Tobia smiled, sweet and open. "I am...Tobia. One of her moonstone necklaces Short IC Response: Ananchel seemed pensive. Uncertain. Her hooves shifted beneath her as if digging into the soft earth to find the right words to say. Finally, she turned her pale eyes to the sky. Her words disappeared into the air and she could only hope that they would find a home there.
"She was the best of us." The phrase held a gentle certainty. The faintest of smiles played at the edges of her mouth, a wistful look. A look conjured by unearthed memories. "The best of us. Though I suppose that's not hard to do…" Perhaps the facts of the matter had been lost to nostalgia. Or perhaps there was some truth, there. Her brother had long since turned his cruel eye onto her, but long ago it was her sister that was the object of what could only spitefully be called Ezekiel's affections. Ananchel had made it this far in keeping the stallion at bay, but only with help. Her sister had always been stronger in spirit. She could only hope, now, that that spirit was still out there, somewhere. That that spirit would find its way back to her.
A few more words were lost into the night. They too disappeared. Whispers to the heavens, laced with hope.
