Shizuka had never considered ever being 'bought' or 'excused to visit someone else' so he replied, "It might help, it might even work, but I don't know... mother would be more than thrilled to hear a Haka taking interest in me. She's been trying to get me engaged for years unsuccessfully... much to his dismay." Shi's ears lowered a bit as his low self-esteem bit him in the back. It was his hemophelia... because he seemed weak...
"A token... perhaps that would do it... mother loves gifts..." he said a bit dreamily, although it was lower and quieter than he had sounded almost the entire time he had been with Shinku. "... I can offer it at least..." he added, slowly swimming toward the edge of the spring. He wondered whether he should be courteous and help Shinku out first. He looked back and wondered how any Haka, especially one so special as Shinku, could take any interest in his pastey white skin and apparent insecurity at first glance... his eyes holding a deep, secret sadness he asked, "Would you like me to help you out of the spring?"

Shinku slender ears twitched as Shizuka voice took a lower dreamily quality. A little strange the Gehaka voice hadn't dropped so suddenly before. "Please, if you would." He said softly as Shizuka offered to help him from the heated spring.
He looked up into those grey eyes seeing some sort of emotion gleaming in them. A secret? Sorrow? What was it? He wasn't the best at sorting emotions but it was begaining to make him hurt somewhere inside. Shi's ears where lowered to, could something had upset him? Shinku reached his hand up towards Shi's face. "Is something the matter? You have this dark emotion in your eyes. Are you afraid of something Shizuka?" He questioned.

Shizuka offered Shinku his pale, calloused hand, lowering his eyes to the water so that he might give the Haka some dignity. "It would be my pleasure," he said quietly, his hand poised as he waited for the velvety-soft hand of Shinku pressed its light weight against it. When the weight didn't come, he looked up and a question entered his eyes. Shinku was staring into his eyes.
Oh, no - he'd seen it. Shi immediately tried to erase the pain and hide it deep inside, putting on the facade of someone who hadn't been melancholy just seconds before. "The matter? No, Shinku, why would something be the matter?" he chuckled, falsing his voice. He looked away and pretended to be busy trying to find the way out of the spring. "I... my eyes... yes... well. They are grey, aren't they? They don't make for very bright emotion..." he was running out of excuses fast. When Shinku asked if he was afraid, he stopped dead, his shoulders dropping...
"Yes, beauty... I'm afraid..." he admitted. "... but let's not speak of that now... I beg you, wait until we see each other again." He turned back, the falsetto'd happiness disappearing once again. His slouch made him look weak, vulerable, just the way he felt at the moment. "Now, if you'd like, I'll help you out..."

Shinku set his small dainty hand into the large, callused version. His right fingers stroked before he held onto him standing. Callused just like his left hand, the one he practiced his weapon with. "Why?" He demanded ears flickering down. "Why are you afraid?" He wasn't going to let up on this.
His body trembled. "Why have I given you a reason to be afraid? Don't say this is something to speak of tomorrow, please if you can, tell my why you lied." He jutted out his chin stubbornly glazing into Shizuka grey eyes. "Why?" His green eyes where blazing in demand. While gentler then most, he was still a Haka and just as emotional as any of them. Rarely did he demand such a thing but this..this was hurting.
He tilted his head sharply away, hazel hair flying up. "Why?" he breath hurt. His jade color eyes closed. "What do you have to be afraid of? That I will reject you because you have some sort off..." he paused.."Sickness? This Hemophilia?" That was right Shizuka had some sort of dieses. Why did it matter though?

"I'm just afraid..." that's all, Shizuka stated flatly as Shinku asked the first time, wrapping his fingers around the Haka's small hand. The tone in Shinku's voice was changing... he had heard that change before in his mother and it was definitely the warning before the storm.
"No, Shinku, you haven't... I just..." then the accusation hit his heart about his lie. He suddenly hated ever opening his mouth or thinking about his weakness. "I lied because..." he started, then was cut off by Shinku again. He tried again to start again, but this great clot swelled up in his throat and he felt he almost couldn't speak. It was so embarrassing that he felt he would break if he confessed it...
"Yes, Shinku," Shi said, finally finding his voice, "That's exactly what I'm afraid of. That because I'm sick that you'll think I'm weak and no good to have around. Will I make you weak children? Unlikely, hemophelia runs in mother's bloodline, not mine... but tell that to all those who took one look at me, asked, then turned me away like I was a bad cut of meat." His voice had risen to a level he'd never used before, angry and sad at the same time... tears streamed down his face as he gasped for air. His voice grew softed and softer as he choked on his own emotions. "That's why I'm afraid... no one even gave me a chance... that's why I've always been so shy." He hooked his finger around Shinku's chin. "I didn't want you to turn me away as all the rest did..."

Zurin entered the Spa with relief, glad to be out of the harsh sunlight but still not pleased to be out at all. He'd rather be at home right now, perhaps enjoying a nap in the coolness of his darkened rooms, but his physicians insisted that a weekly bath at the spas would greatly improve his health.
He wrinkled his pale brow when he noticed that his usual spot was taken by a young couple. Zurin did not enjoy having to find a new area away from the sun to bathe in, and he cast the two intruders a spiteful look as he slipped into the water carefully. Slipping on the slick stones could prove disastrous, the heat and water combined would make any blood even harder to staunch than usual.
Leaning back gently, Zurin contemplated his recent encounter with the golden hued gehaka. Not precisely what he had in mind, but considering his current prospects he should be lucky to extend the Wakahisa name to cover a Hishiron.

Shizuka sighed, "I don't know... I haven't exactly had a lot of contact with many good Hakas... none that see anyone for anything more than property... I know you couldn't think like them, but it's just so hard to believe it's real." He sighed as Shinku wiped the tear away and tried to stifle any further tears. "You're right... we should probably leave..." Shi said, helping the Haka out and waiting for him to dress.
He lept out and dressed himself quickly, hoping the nearby Haka hadn't seen him in the nude. That wouldn't be very prudent, but he too was ready to leave. "Yes, we'll leave now..." he said. He figured offering his arm was out of the question since he had already hurt the Haka's feelings so badly. He hadn't meant to. He would never have meant to hurt someone he loved so much, but it hadn't been able to help doubting himself.
He spotted Sei coming toward them on the rocky path and shook his head, "It wasn't Shinku's fault, Sei..." Shi replied softly. Shi didn't want to say that he figured Shinku wouldn't want to see him after he had lied to him and tried to deceive him. "Will you still send the letter to see me tomorrow?" he asked, binding his hair again in the tie he wore in public. He wouldn't quite make eye contact with Shinku, he didn't want to see hurt in those gorgeous emerald eyes. The hurt he'd put there with his deceit, his low self-esteem...

Shi felt officially beaten. Shinku was quiet and tired and probably not in the best of moods. He was glad, though, that Shinku was interested in seeing such a bumbling, shy Gehaka again. He didn't say another word as he watched Sei help his younger brother out through the doors of the spa. He stood as though his feet were cemented to the floor, not knowing whether to say good-bye or just leave the damage as it was.
Soon, Shinku and Sei were out of sight and the down-trodden Gehaka made his way back home, expecting his mother to ask so many questions about his timing and such. He hoped he would understand and be gentle, not whip him as often happened when his mother was in fair temper... he would see what the future brought when it came, but he hoped it wouldn't leave him timid and lonely as it had in the past.

Noticing that his pale hands had become a wrinkled as shriveled prunes, Zurin realized he'd been soaking for much longer than he had intended, lost in thoughts of finding a husband.
With a disgusted sigh he rose from the water and reached for his robes, hurriedly dressing to avoid the curious stares of others in the spa. He got enough strange looks fully dressed, having people wonder if he really was that pale all over was not something Zurin enjoyed.
When he was covered enough to leave, Zurin eyed the outside light and realized he'd stayed so long that the sun was now out in full force. With his protective creams all washed off now and no form of shade on hand, the walk home would be torturous indeed, and there was no doubt that he would be paying for it in the days to come.

It was just one of his spots, slouching across the railing, intricately woven with carving of foliage, of one of the inn's walk ways that overlooked an aesthetically set pond. Course, he had never gone into the Inn itself. He chalked it up to lazyness perhaps obstinance, but it was more likely from trepidation. Though he'd never admit to that, still he had never been lucky around a Haka nor a gaggle of them crowded into one moody room. The Gehaka had a habit of being "inconsiderate" as some called it which landed him always in hot water with his ears yelled and pinched raw.
His mother said he'd be the death of him. Agnija had to smile at his reflection for that conversation, peering almost smugly down into the pool. With a too interested eye on his rippling self image, he almost forgot to slide out of the way of a passing Haka and, remembering for once, he gave a deep bow that received no attention except an impatient sniff. Still the important thing was he remembered and maybe he had always been a bit slow, but he was good at taking orders like, "Move that," "Hold this," "Sew here," "Shut up!"
The Gehaka hummed nauseously. Thinking too much was getting to him. He had almost forgotten the only reason he was out to wander was to pick up a few items and return home: A few new burlap sacks, a wool blanket, sacks of grocerries, and a a simple, but lovely umbrella he held at his arm personally. Unfortunately, his mother's parasol, one of their few heirlooms, had been moth-bitten and ruined. He could still feel the sting of his screaming and lashes as he wallowed in sorrow for almost a week. This new one wasn't as gorgeous, but with what money they had, it would do.
Finding it about time to leave, he began to drag his feet over the solid bridge, through garden at the entrance and past the welcoming doors of the spa where downcast eyes watched the room's relaxing Haka and Gehaka that frequented.[ Hopefully he's close enough to be in your poor Haka's line of vision >_>;;; ]

Zurin finally worked up enough courage and stepped out into the bright sunlight. The second he passed the doors he felt the heat of the sun on his skin, and imagined that he could hear his delicate flesh roasting.
Protecting his eyes with one hand, almost blinded by the sudden change in light levels, Zurin strode forward with none of his usual caution as he was desperate to get out of the burning light.
It was little wonder then that he bumped into someone not ten paces from the doors. After spending a long moment recovering from the fright of almost falling, Zurin gathered himself together enough to open his mouth to apologize. It was then that he noticed he was in shade.
Squinting upwards then back down again, Zurin took in both the parasol above him and the fact that it was a gehaka holding it. A swift glance around confirmed that the gekaka had no mother or husband with him, so Zurin smirked and stepped closer confidently.
"Give that to me."((it works out anyway ^_^))

In a quiet blur of white, Agnija found most of his belongings strewn across the tiled ground, the only thing still in his possession was the umbrella resting on his right should and the wool blanket tucked under a large arm. Letting a hiss roll past his sharp little teeth, the Gehaka moved to swat at the thing that ran so carelessly into him, but bit his tongue quickly and literally as he noticed the frail figure before him. His grey eyes widened though not exactly for the proper reasons. He had never seen one color-themed Haka before, and those eyes of his didn't count as a color. He had to bring a hand to his mouth to stop himself from smiling, those his amused eyes betrayed him.
Bowing politely, the blue headed gehaka recited apology after apology, watching him from downcast eyes as the Haka readjusted himself, aiding in anyway he could.Give that to me.His amused gaze was replaced with a complete and commonplaced blank stare. He looked at himself and tilted his head to the side, "Give you what, sir?" His voice was completely innocent, though it didn't help his case as he tapped the parasol against his shoulder repeatedly.[ Please don't berate him too much XDD ]
