Nim's own ahoge would notice the danger far before she did, twitching urgently. When she did finally notice the screaming a*****e rock, she yelped and took off running. Why did that rock have an eye? Why did ANY rocks have eyes? Why was it yelling at her?! She hated all this! Damned island and the damn weird monsters... Nope nope nope nope nope!
Eins, meanwhile, was all too ready for another fight. With a vicious and gleeful hiss, she prepared her shadowy limbs again once more and struck forward with X-Scissor!
[5/10]
Starter Pokemon: Mimikyu [F] Name & Level: Eins, Level 3 [Temperament] Lonely Bio: Eins spent most of her pre-capture time haunting a candy store and sneaking free lollipops into the pockets of screaming children. She'd have been content to stay that way but for the will of the cult. Indeed, she was actually caught by Nim's sponsor, and given to the girl in an attempt to give her a step up when it came to fighting. The sponsor also has a slightly better sense of humor than Nim-- giving a Mimikyu a Mimikyu! No one could count on Nim's dislike of Pokémon being quite as... intense as it was, for the girl can barely stand to look at her starter. Nim couldn't even name the creature properly, just giving it a number for a name. For her part, Eins isn't too fussed; humans are strange, and she'll melt her trainer's heart one way or another... possibly by giving it a heart attack, but still. Stats: HP:17/17/PP:18/ATK:12/DEF:9/SPD:11/SP-ATK:8/SP-DEF:12 - Icicle Cra - X-Scissor - Copycat - Curse EXP: 0/100 Pokemon held items: N/A

In the Garden of Monsters
The Roggenrola's stone-hoge would wiggle, sensing Eins intent as the ghost came at him. It's targeting process interrupted it would quickly get out of the way. Once it was safe, a subjective term to be sure, it would begin again, this time doing so properly. The Pokemon's eye would glow red, the pupil shifting to a cross hair as it cried proudly ">Rock-On!<" One could be pretty sure it meant Lock-On, but the term seemed to have some sort of strange significance for the Pokemon. Sadly it lacked any sort of dramatic transformation sequence.
Perhaps Onyxia didn't understand the type of opponent she was facing. They could not be bribed, nor persuaded, they could only be beaten or avoided. The later wasn't going well, but soon Bind would end and she would have a choice to make. Fight,or Flight? For now however the Crygonal would squeeze tighter, the chains slithering over the Litleo's body in order to squeeze more. At this rate there would be bruises.

Nim had ducked behind a rock, legs shaking. She felt torn; on one hand, this was the perfect time to lose the Mimikyu, maybe try and find a way off the island, and escape this hellhole. On the other hand, she had no idea how long she could survive on her own. And a small but slowly growing part of her heart pointed out that Eins was protecting her...
The Mimikyu, by contrast, struggled with no such moral quandary. This was a battle, and she was going to strike with all her might! Even if the Roggenrola seemed like he might have some kind of... issues. Humming cheerfully, she drew one shadowy appendage back and swung out with X-Scissor.

A dark reptile-like Pokemon appeared in front of Trafalgar. There was clearly no escaping from this battle. If it wanted a fight, They were going to give it one. "Trust, give this battle all you've got! Shadow Sneak!" This battle was going to be difficult..but Trafalgar needed to fight this battle.
Thankfully, the jungle was already dark. Using the natural shade of the Jungle, Trust send a shadow sneak attack towards the Deino.

Holding the Pokeball in hand, Sol would grin from ear to ear. He'd gone and caught his first Pokemon! Ok second, but he wasn't sure Umbra counted. That whole situation was....special. More importantly with this Sneasel he finally had what he needed....something sharp and capable of cutting off the good parts from kills! OH THE MONEY HE WOULD MAKE NOW.
Ah...but first he should probably give the talking hacksaw a name. "Mmm....Polaris" He said, after probably less thought than was polite. It just felt appropriate. "Born of ice and snow, you are the north star, and you will be a star!" At hacking off valuable body parts Not like anyone needed to hear that last part.
Motioning to Umbra, the boy would continue forward. There was more to find here....like the worker for example.
Starter Pokemon: Golett Name & Level: Umbra, Lv 3 [Temperament] Brave Bio: Shaped from clay and given life centuries ago, this Golett was created with a singular purpose: to serve the people of his homeland. In times of peace that meant simple feats of strength, hauling limber and iron. In times of war...acts far more grim in nature. His last images of a world long lost to the sands of time, were of his comrades and redness of flame. Then....darkness.
When he rose again it was to the shattered ruins of what once was, and the broken forms of other Golett. He wandered the remains of the castle for a time, but departed before long. There was no point in protecting a land which had been forgotten by the ages, and so he went in search of a new "purpose". It was this same search that would lead him to the tunnels beneath Roshan City. A veritable maze, the tunnels see frequent use by smugglers and those of less than legal enterprises. It was here that he encountered Sol, and where he found purpose once more. Dubbed "Umbra" by the boy, he once more found himself with a home and people to serve; but in his ticking "heart" he knew it was only a matter of time before he once more graced the battlefield.
With a mighty thwack the Roggenrola would be struck down. Not dead, but it had certainly gained a new crack in it's hide for allthe trouble it had gone to.

Snapping at the air in irritation the Dieno would rush forward, smacking into a tree before changing direction. Being completely blind, it had obtained a rather rough way of navigating. For a Pokemon of it's species though, this was utterly normal and would have no adverse effects on it's ability to find. Until it managed to locate it's prey though, and it could certainly SMELL the Ralts, it would bash about a bit. It would be hard to know where their target was going when it didn't know either!
- Battle Information - [Bael is at the ready in case of conflict!]
Popping up out of the snow right in front of Aria was a creature that was both familiar and strange. The shape was right for the most part, but the sandshrew in front of the girl was certainly not an ordinary one. For one thing, its hide was completely white! A rare pokemon indeed, at least as far as the girl was aware, and thus one worth trying to catch! Ah, but one wrong move could easily startle the pokemon into attacking or, worse yet, fleeing. Both were bad, as a battle would mean the sandshrew, Bael, or both becoming injured, while the pokemon's escape would mean having to find a different pokemon after such a stroke of luck. The question was, would she be able to catch it if she tried throwing a ball now?
Deciding it was too risky to lead off with a chucked ball, she crouched and nudged Bael forward. "Let's try talking to it first. See if we can't convince it to come with us," she whispered to the pup. Bael frowned skeptically but carefully picked his path forward towards the odd sandshrew so as not to make too much noise. It didn't seem like it cared much about the duo, but he wasn't sure if that was because it really didn't care or if it simply hadn't noticed them yet, and he didn't want it bolting just because it heard his pawsteps. He didn't go too far forward in case the pokemon turned out to be skittish. ^Hello there!^ he greeted in an attempt to lead with friendliness. ^I haven't seen a sandshrew like you before. That color looks quite nice on you.^ The question was, how far would flattery get the pup?
Of course, that didn't mean Aria was going to wait idly. She had a hand in the duffel bag and was already grabbing one of the pokeballs inside. If the sandshrew did bolt... Well, she'd at least get one toss. Hopefully.
- Traveling down Everlast Summit (paused) - [2/10]
It seemed Trust's attack would completely miss. No good. No good. Trafalgar thought. They had to go on the defensive now. "Quick, Trust, duck behind a tree!" Hopefully the tree would provide good shelter from the Deino.
It seemed like he couldn't avoid kissy-faces. A Smoochum rested atop a nearby rock, sunning herself in the low sun. She wasn't paying the youth even a bit of mind, so Sol could easily pass by... probably.

Eins preened, playing with her rags happily. Silly rock! Shouldn't have tangled with a hard place. Satisfied, she crawled forward, hunting for her trainer. /Nim?/ she called, knowing her trainer couldn't understand her. /You can come out now.../ She did her best to make her voice as gentle as possible.
Nim's genuinely didn't know what to make of either the Roggenrola or her Pokemon. Why were these creatures so hostile? She eyed her Mimikyu warily; just because this one was on her side right now didn't mean she could trust it fully. Still... she swallowed hard, climbing up. "Let's... l-let's go," she managed. Neither an indictment or a compliment.
And with that, the odd pair began down the mountain again.

Though a tree was certainly a nice big thing for the Ralts to hide behind, perhaps it wasn't the wisest choice when faced with this particular Deino. Snapping it's jaws, the Pokemon would give off a slightly clicking sound before it's maw erupted in flame. Charging forward, recklessly snapping at anything in reach, the wild dragon was going to end up setting something ablaze with FIRE FANG!

Leer successful! -1 to defense Fumble! - 1 to Deneb's defense rolls.
Once Deneb caught a glimpse of the nasty look in the sneasel's eyes his buzzing came to a halt, and he dropped straight down to the ground with a light "plop". An assault on his poor, weak psyche. Someone call an ambulance, bring a defibrillator, at this rate he'd die of a heart attack.
While his pokemon was busy being overly dramatic Altair got straight to work. Reaching in to the bag strapped to his thigh, he pulled out a pokeball, wasting no time in throwing it at the sneasel as hard as he could.
The Sandshrew blinked, startled for a few moments as she stared right at Bael. She wasn't totally sure what Pokemon he was, but he was definitely foreign. Not that she minded, of course, but it was worth noticing. Still, any remaining nervousness she might have had was blown away by Bael's compliment. She sat up straight, shaking her body so that the light caught her hide properly and fully-- everyone was allowed to be a showoff now and then. /Thank you!/ she squeaked happily, clasping her claws together. /There aren't a lot of us here on the mountain, but we make do! I've never see anything like you before, though! Are you cold? I know a lot of outsiders get cold up here./ Seemed she was the curious type, and wasn't automatically going to bolt, even with a human around.
