Aylin || Post 1 [Open to RP]

User ImageAylin looked about with eyes wide in wonder, she wasn’t sure she would ever become accustomed to seeing such a hugely diverse throng of people all in one place, all at one time. When she had gone to the Oban Tournament she had been focused on preparing for her own prentice battles and spectating those of her mentor Biroki. Even then she had been impressed by the flurry of colors, scents, and wares, but had been too nervous and focused to fully immerse herself in the festivities. The tournament seemed so long ago now … she knew she’d grown stronger since its passing in both spirit and magic (really though, weren’t they one in the same) and tightened her grip on her staff as she wandered amongst walkways crowded with vendors and customers alike.

Now though, she was here simply to travel more of Tendaji and learn just how diverse its cultures are- maybe she’d even pick up a memento or too! It was her first great journey since making peace with putting her parents to rest and she was practically humming with excitement... hmmm, she was actually humming audibly after all.

Ah shoot, Jerami was so considerate that she wished she hadn't opened her big mouth about looking for a spear. Now what was she going to do? After all she didn't want to make things too obvious or awkward, though to her surprise and slight groan they both wanted to look at clothes and fabrics and pretty things. Ah well she supposed she could put up with looking at...those things. She'd pretty much dragged them both wherever she wanted to go she supposed it was only fair to allow them to drag her to places she didn't want to particularly be in.

"Ah....suuure we can look at the fabrics..." She looked down at her own rather skimpy attire...wondering just how to 'accent' her look without...adding more layers. "Maybe I can find a new colour or pattern for a skirt. Shima managed trying to sound interested at the prospect at...clothing shopping.

She caught the look Jerami was giving and then tried to follow his gaze not really sure who it was int he crowd that her brother was focusing on , but she did note his blushing cheeks.

"oooooooo is there someone you like here??" SHe almost demanded this was far more interesting than looking at clothing.

Amari had been deep in thought, contemplating the feel of the fabric under his fingers, the weight of it, trying to envision how it was sway in the breeze. Would the rich looking purple die fade quickly? Sometimes if not dye'd properly fabrics would fade after one wash.

Frowning he decided not to risk it and laid the bolt of fabric back down onto the stack. About to reach for another he was startled out of his deep though by a rather cheerful voice. Blinking he pushed back a bit of his hair that had drapped into his vision and tucked it behind an ear before he turned to face the woman.

She had messy hair, the way she dressed wasn't something that stood out but she apparently had an eye for style since she had complemented Amari and she hadn't even seen anything more than what he was wearing now.

A polite laugh before he replied, "You flatter me, I do have many ideas for future outfits with the array before me. I am just having a hard time finding something suitable for a wedding I will be forced to attend." He managed with a smile, gesturing to the fabrics it was hard to pick something that wasn't too gorgeous...couldn't rival the bride after all.

As they began to walk through the crowd he didn't realize just how many people you could fit into an area like this. Pushing and shoving, for the most part people were keeping off to the sides where the stalls were located but there were some areas that bottle necked forcing the pair to walk very close together. At those times Gerraden tightened his hold on his lovers hand, he didn't want to get separated in this sea of strangers.

At the question he had to stop and ponder a moment, a grand market...one would think they would come to a place like this with an idea in mind for purchasing. But there really wasn't anything he wanted. Perhaps some armor pieces would be nice but he didn't want to remind Rishima about dangers and fighting. Besides his mother new a good blacksmith back in town so perhaps he could bother him for some gear.

"Did you want anything for the house?" He inquired lightly his gaze dropping on a trio of somewhat familiar hybrids. Though he had never met the spawn of Jerarda he had heard a lot about them from Rishima. He gave the man a nudge before pointing in their direction. "Hey aren't those your mentors kids?"

Karothdra - Post 2

The Oban paused and turned to look back at Tyiva when she felt someone grab her arm. “Poisonous?” Karothdra held her tongue so she didn’t start laughing but gave the Alkidike a smile. “No, not a poisonous plant. Maybe we should have you try a few things.” Karothdra was personally looking forward to some tastes from home, oh yes she was going to enjoy something spicy that was for sure. Her eyes scanned the crowd, this wasn’t the food section but they were close, if the wind was picking up and dragging the smells here. They were not far at all.

“How about we start with food from where I’m from? I’d love to also try Alkidike food as well.” Though that was a little scary, she wondered if they ate differently than them. “Then we can probably check out other foods.” Considering Karo was always hungry, especially now since she hadn’t eaten properly in a few weeks. “We can also check weapons if you’re interested.” She was also looking forward to that, well not sword or shields, but she could use some new gauntlets or something of the kind. It never hurt to browse the wares of the merchants.

Solari - Post 2

Solari eyed a pale skin, pale haired boy as he went about making a show of the money he had. She could already see the predators moving in on him and stealing everything he had. Poor guy. Solari gobbled down another warm bread she’d just bought off of a stall while she watched the spectacle. Didn’t he know he was making himself out to be the perfect target out here? Actually, as Solari’s gaze swept through the crowd she could already see another thief was zoning in on him. She shook her head, poor guy would have to learn from his mistakes.

She had to admit she kinda felt sorry for him, The thief came and went but she couldn’t tell if she’d grabbed the bag of coins or not. From the looks of it though, the thief was running off with his coin. Pushing herself from the pole she’d been leaning on she went and followed the boy up until she was right next to him. She glanced at him once and chuckled. The purse was gone and she shook her head. Did she tell him? Seemed like the decent thing to do right?

“You know, you should never be flashy,” she pointed to the empty belt. “This is heaven for any thief.”

Rhag'na - Post 2

Rhag’na made it to the weapons stall and eyed a few swords, he wasn’t really looking to buy but if he was tempted by a sword he might just get it. It was funny to think very young he had thought about becoming blacksmith, now not so much. His father’s training had pretty much squeezed the idea out of him; the path of a warrior was all that was left for him at this point.

Grabbing a sword Rhag’na made a few movements with it in the air making sure not to hit anyone. It was sturdy enough but he didn’t think he liked it enough to buy it.

Ziel - Post 2

Ziel wandered from stall to stall hands clasped behind her as she weaved easily in and out of the tight spaces between people. Nothing caught her attention and she still hadn’t seen anyone she knew. She’d rather be with familiar faces then doing this whole thing by herself. It was never fun for her to do anything by herself anyways. Sighing softly, maybe her mother was right. She ought to be accompanied by someone at all times; it was to help curb her boredom. Ah, well. What could she do now about it? Maybe she’d head to the food stalls or something and try food from Yaeli.

Kanika - Post 2

They were quite smaller; it was hard to feel intimated by them. It was more that their statures and foreign appearance were just…Weird. Did it hurt to have crystals growing from their skin? She wondered as her gaze swept across from one Earthling to the other. None of them seemed to be in pain but perhaps they grew used to it over the years? Weird, just too weird for Kanika who made a face. The Shifters, Yaeli, and Matori seemed to be the only ones without crystals. Why was that, she wondered again. They were all so diverse and yet, similar at times.

Well, to be honest Kanika didn’t think their food would be poisoned. She’d seen a few people passing by them all eating away at things she’d never seen before. They could be poisoned, but she didn’t think they served poisoned food to their people. Unless this wasn’t a joyous event, this was a culling of the weak and the old. Now that was a scary thought, but again a quick glance around told her people from all ages were here which was a relief for her. She didn’t even want to think of what would have happened if this place had been a culling.

Kanika’s antenna’s twitched and bounced in steady motions, left, right, left, right. She was curious about Alkidike food too, but really any kind of food that was not from Yael was interesting to her. But Kanika was also curious about their weapons. Of yes, she wanted to see and observe and find weaknesses. She wanted to be able to report what she had seen and prepare herself if the Earthlings ever decided to mass about and attack them. They would be ready if anything happened and they would be victories because of the knowledge.

And then the mystic was off running into the crowd and Kanika moved to follow her quickly.

“Nivalis!” She tried to yell in a low voice, but really when was yelling ever done in a low voice? “You could get lost,” she said to her once she’d caught up. “We need to stick together and not rush into things. There’s plenty of time to see everything we want to.” And if something happened to her, someone grabbed her and ran while she was under their watch… Kanika would never forgive herself.

Aeuri - Post 2

Aeuri looked wide eyed at his sister for a moment, overwhelmed by just how accepting Sauti seemed to be. So many had similar coloring to him and his sister, the blonde hair was so unique in Oba but so common here. He even saw those who looked different than his mother, but were clearly hybrids from this area. Oh how exciting this world was. His body relaxed and he let out a warm grin, comfortable at once.

“Let's walk around? I really just want to see all of the different people, it's so different than back home...even with mother's dancers and musicians. This is just so...free...”

The minstrel wasn't sure what was up, it seemed that Gyuri was acting peculiar but he couldn't put his finger on just exactly why that was. Still it was very considerate of the bodyguard to offer to head in the direction of the music players. He had been glancing in that direction every since they had arrived so it was nice that the big guy had picked up on it.

Smiling he nodded his head, eager to go see the new instruments, old and perhaps new music. He began to walk forward his raoti bounding ahead happily.

"I was thinking I might replace my lute. " Borra managed to muster up, though he was having second and third thoughts on the issue he felt an overwhelming guilt when he continued using his fathers old instrument.

"Maybe I'll be more inspired with a new instrument. I feel like I hit a rut." He continued as they walked through the crowds of people.

The way he jested with her made her face blush, she was happy he couldn't see it but he probably could sense it with her 'aura'. Still there were so many innuendo's she could come up with on the spot given the words he spoke to her it would make even the crudest of people blush. Squeezing his hand, she watched and Borra and Gyuri stumbeled along in their oblivious like for each other and Eira heading off. It left them alone so... now what?

"Since I am your eyes, you will just have to trust me won't you.." She managed with a teasing voice. She took a step forward giving a slight tug on his hand to indicate they were moving.

"Lets head for the food stalls first...after all that walking I am hungry. I do not miss traveling like the old days...makes my feet tired and my back hurt." Sin'qua complained as she weaved them through the crowds. There were a lot of interesting items cooking and she guided him towards one that had little benches to sit on while you ate.

Leaning over she whispered in his ear, "Sit, I am going to bring you a surprise."

"Its still weird though dad, they just...appeared one day...same with Ma Ta..that mark on his cheek. I can't help but feel your keeping something from me." Korra complained, though she had asked them countless questions about the particulars of those marks neither of them were willing to give her an answer..always dodging the question or switching the subject...

When he mentioned to find books for Ma Ta she gave a small giggle. " We can look at books, I am not sure what to look at myself. Its kinda weird being back in my homeland." Korra admitted, she wondered idly if the orphanage was still around. Starteled as a voice called out to her she looked to see the familar face of the shifter girl named Mirin emerging from the crowd.

"Mirin!" She cried out in excitement as she went to give the girl a hug, "Dad! This is a good friend of mine! This is Mirin!" Korra was so excited to finally show her dad a friend she had made.

Carminer 2

Carminer's smile moved from coy to down-right flirtatious as he saw Faamy move through the crowd. The woman had quite the curves, and rosy cheeks that most likely were from a bit of indulgence. As she moved closer and approached his stall, Carminer easily grabbed one of the many wineskins that his youngest brother was filling up for tasting and taking.

"A special, ancient blend of local berries, brewed and aged to a fine sweetness that is unlike any other drink on the market. Please, take a taste. The skin is free but you are welcome to order some for delivery to your cart or pack."

He smiled and held out the wineskin, waiting to see if she would take it and try it.

Amarone Post 2

Amarone continued to smile brightly, her aqua eyes shining as she looked at Amari with an openness that most strangers didn't hold. She was cheery, warm, and overbearingly welcome and open to speak, but it seemed she really didn't mind or care. After months of living in Oba and seeing all of the Matori, Amarone had a bit of an interest in the speckled skin and bright eyes of the people. Which meant she often approached for conversation without a second thought.

Blame it on her personality, or her small-town upbringing.

And then, she laughed lightly at Amari's response, waving it off before shaking her head a bit.

"Just being honest." She chirped back, before brushing her hair behind her ear and stepping a half pace closer to look at the fabrics before her, "I'll admit, I've never been to a wedding...Where's about will you be? I'm sure picking fabics foreign to that area will be a good first step right?"
