Well, it seemed they had no choice but to fight. His own tarry copy had decided to try and hit him in the face, something he managed to avoid by moving his head out of the way, but he failed to avoid being kneed in the stomach. Doubling over, arms wrapping about his mid section as if to prevent what had already happened. His dark eyes lifted to the figure before him, not willing to take his eyes away from them least they do something else to him.
When he finally gathered himself enough to stand up right again he shoved a foot at the things stomach and tried to shove it away. The light he saw and his gaze turned to it quickly. "Something big happening...we need to get there - as you said. How with them here though?" As he doubted these...figures would allow them to just leave. They would either follow or try and prevent them from even attempting to leave this area.
"Have to fight them...or give us time to flee." Well not flee...but time to put distance between them so they could get to the goal. There was no way aside from those things, as far as he could tell anyway.

Scholomance Knight, outside
The creature he fought slowed down with repeated hits, which bought him time to address the pair of knights and their respective enemies. "When you feel the magic, just run - get some distance on these disgusting globs. I'll catch up." His whip uncoiled from hand, and his own copy was gathering itself. He had little time to execute his magic.
A whipcrack sounded when he struck the ground, and a bell tolled thereafter. Ida unraveled, each tree forming its own island as it broke away from the earth. The path ahead remained coherent despite great islands of earth now floating suspended in the sky. Fog cast about their feet in a distinctly unsettling ambience. Scholomance was now frozen in his cast, but his efforts would separate the two knights from the attacks of their aggressors - though it prevented them from landing attacks of their own.
While he could not speak now, beneath the pain of the cast, he hoped that they would heed advice and run into the bottom of the tower.
Quote:
Knight: Magnum Mortum Duration: 30 second maximum magic pool Distance: Victims can be tagged up to 20 feet from Scholomance himself Number affected: Up to 6 'tagged' based on line of sight Extra: Magic 'tethers' at 30 feet from Scholomance barring sight interruption Description: Scholomance summons a death knell that will immediately affect 'tagged' characters (anyone focused on by Scholomance within line of sight). Any targeted character will have their corporeal form turned into a ghastly spirit-form, and will find that any attack or attempt made toward corporeal bodies will only pass through their form. In trade, corporeal characters will be unable to strike or harm those who are rendered as spirits. Spirits will see the world around them as an inverted, crumbling version of their current location. Corporeal characters will look to them as blots of energy rather than people. Spirits can still attack each other, and both corporeal and incorporeal characters can attack Scholomance, as he is the link between the illusory otherworld and the real world. Breaking his concentration will end the attack prematurely.
During channeling, Scholomance's magic actively damages him as tradeoff. Effects start at full body ache and exhaustion and can lead up to immediate collapse or beyond, depending on circumstances. He is also completely immobile while casting and cannot attack any targets.

up to you if the magic connects - other objects around them can easily break his line of sight, but it gives venice the opportunity to proceed into the tower~ could also help him evade an attack, which means that a fist or w/e would simply pass right through venice.

Things finally seemed like they might have been looking up for Caia; not only did he manage to dodge an attack, he actually hit the monster--and hard!
His eyes lit up and he was filled with a bit of confidence. He didn't know how long or short lived it was going to be, but right now the monster seemed like it was doing worse than he was, and Caia always thought his strength came from durability.
So far, he hadn't let himself down.
He hoped he wasn't letting down whoever had summoned them for help.

Sailor Aue - Outside the Towerhaving a shite time of it.
Aue really wasn't having a good time. He heard a bell and to one side the earth - or whatever the local nomenclature for terra firma happened to be - split in a rather fascinating fashion - now that was magic, wasn't it? The hell has that sort of power? Of course, he didn't really have time to contemplate what was going on around him since he was a bit busy, but there were things filed away for later. While the tolling of the bell wasn't necessarily close to him per se, the clarion ring set the hair on the back of his neck to stand on end even more than the gloopy b*****d that kept beating the hell out of him did.
His chest wound burned, a swath of clear pain emblazoned across his chest. Each movement - whether it be dodge, block, or blow received - pulled not only at the crusting wound edges, but the material of his costume where the clotting blood worked as glue, attaching it to flesh to be stretched or dislodged. Honestly, he had no idea why he'd answered the call and would have roundly cursed whomever had done it had he come face-to-face with them.
"Back the <********> off!" Aue hissed in English, then Finnish, then Swedish - though the latter set his teeth on edge and felt blasphemous. He grabbed the monster's damaged arm and wrenched it off, tossing the distressing feeling limb right back at the creature's head for all the good that did.
The further up the gracefully arcing staircase Aegir went, the softer were the sounds of battle engaged within and without. As he crested the stairs to the fourth floor, he caught sight of a rather familiar Cosmos Knight - Hvergelmir, fighting her own monster, sent the creature spinning and forced him to stop so that his tarry doppleganger was able to catch up and put a few swipes in his direction. "Hver!" Aegir turned back to his opponent, side stepping and sending it crashing into one of the blooming walls headfirst. It seemed weakened badly, it's movements jerky and spasmodic as it tried to reorient itself. "Are you okay?" She had her distaff, but the monster menacing her seemed quite a bit fresher than the one he'd been hacking at.
"Do you know what's going on? I felt a pull and ....now I'm here? Wherever this is." Was the curly haired Eternal going to give whatever assistance to his pretty friend that he could? Yes, yes he was - even if she might not be able to tell him what was going on or where they were.
Hyperborea, Transcendent Knight of the Cosmos: 2nd Floor
Hyperborea was glad her magic seemed to effect the monsters, she took advantage of the monster's disorientation. with a brief flourish of she brought her staff down catching the monster's shoulder with the sharp crystal wings adorning her staff. She pulled back with a strong tug and the crystal wings cutting through the monster's sternum leaving what would on any normal creature probably be a fatal gash.
"Ida is her name. She's a transcendent eternal so she shouldn't be to hard to find." Hyperborea called out to the others.
To say that Hvergelmir was surprised to see Aegir was something of an understatement. "Aegir!" she shouted out in shock and alarm. "What are you doing here? Ida and I came here so she could rest, but now she's missing, and these -- " She struggled for a word. It seemed Aegir was being menaced by a monster of his own. " -- these things are here all of a sudden."
Another hit with her distaff seemed to take some more of the wind out of the creature's sails.
What's going on was what she expected to ask. But all she could think of was Ida -- weak, vulnerable. "We have to find Ida," she urged.
Shang looked to the negaverser as he asked about who the planet senshi was, but before he could answer the other knight answered the question.
"If this is where we've gather she must be near here," he said, he honestly wasnt sure, but he really hoped that was the case. "I've been through something like this before ..." he said.
It wasn't the same of course, but he doubted chaos on a senshi planet would certainly come in different variations. He was glad for that, he didn't exactly find the idea of being electrocuted again appealing.
The monster came at him again and he could feel a warmth washing over him once more, giving him more energy it seemed. He lashed out brandishing his weapon like a sword and slicing the creature from supposed shoulder to supposed waist. The thing seemed angry about the attack, but stumbled about it in the most disoriented way.
And finally, the other knight was giving some answers -- sort of. He seemed to have much-needed information. Quartz's brow furrowed. "Who is this planet's senshi, exactly?" he asked, watching his half-demolished monster for a place to strike next.
The monster weaved backwards, though, instead of closing in: it grabbed the remainder of its severed arm off the ground and -- in an inky flash -- threw it at Quartz as hard as it seemed to be able to.
Quartz would've dodged, normally. The claws might've gone sailing past -- but dodging in this case would've meant leaving Idrialite, whose back was against Quartz's, unguarded, and he would've taken the blow instead.
The claws struck him across the shoulder, dragging three long stripes of blood out of him. Fortunately, the cuts felt fairly shallow.
Quartz had to settle for throwing the severed hand back at the monster, still out of spear range. It made a little damage, but nothing that was going to end the battle.
"I understand all those words separately," Idrialite muttered under his breath, glancing over at the tiny, glowing Knight. She must have been one of those Cinnabar mentioned, the ones who drained more easily; he had precious little experience with them, and now was not the time to be asking questions.
He wasn't sure, given the circumstances, anyone would answer.
Another claw strike was batted away, and he retaliated with a whack tot he solar plexus-ish-area that actually had the creature doubling over briefly.
"Captain, are you alright?" He asked, glancing back briefly to see three unpleasant looking lines of blood on the other officer's shoulder.
Witherite frowned as the creatures arm turned into a back and collided with his stomach knocking him on his a**. "What the hell," he growled that the thing, groaning as he pulled himself to his feet and dodged the thing as its arm morphed again and gain long taloned fingers.
"Got dammit, s**t," he yelped, "whoever is responsible for these shapeshifting misfits if going to regret the day they were born."
He brought his weapon above his head and faultered as a warm sort of feeling flooded into him, make him feel energized and rearing for another go at the creature. He brought the oversized fork down hard and fast stabbing the thing in the shoulder and watching as it reeled.
"Effective," he said with a somewhat s**t eatting grin looking at the ground and wondering what that surge was before looking to the senshi, "your kitty claws might be useful. Monster HP: 53 - [15+5] = 33
Hyperborea, Transcendent Knight of the Cosmos- 2nd floor That's a good point, but where is she? Hyperborea thought as she bit her lip, even with the added brightness of transcendence the mass of auras surrounding her clouded her auric sense. She did have an item that might help but she needed to clear some space first.
She dispelled her staff and did a leap backwards, as if she were doing a back flip, and her foot caught the monster she was fighting right on the jaw with a stiff kick. As she landed on her hands she used her knightly strength to launch herself backwards away from her opponent landing gracefully on her feet.
She waved her hand in front of her face as the crown of stars appeared. Her head was filled with the buzz of auras. She tried to focus remembering the bright warmth of the Senshi of Orchid's aura. She found it, Ida was above them in this tower.
"Ida's above us, on the next floor up. We should try to get to her, she might be in danger." She yelled out to the others there as she held her head. Trying to use the crown of stars with so many people nearby was giving her a migraine.
Super Sailor Elvira, inside in a room with Athene and Liryn “So if we’re not on Athene and we’re not on Elvira…and we’re not in Destiny City…well where are we then?” She gave a tiny smile to Athene and glanced around the room again, blinking as some sort of great goop something slithered out of nowhere and formed into…
Into another Elvira? A goopy Elvira?
The senshi wasn’t quite sure what to do and looked at the two others she was with. “Uh…this isn’t really normal, is it?”
Of course it wasn’t normal. That was a stupid question. Elvira let out a frightened squeal as the copy of her moved to…to attack her? To hit her? To do something, that was for sure. “Ugh no!” This was awful! They had come to wherever this was to help, and now they were being attacked by…themselves?
Elvira kicked out hard at the copy of her and tried not to let her fear show too much. Maybe the other two thought this was normal…maybe she should stop being so scared and just…
…be something else. Monster: HP 60 - 15 = 45

Elpis // Miss Kitty]/b] (First Die is Elpis, second Miss Kitty)
Elpis' double was dancing around the two, a dripping, goey smile on it's maw as it moved, and the Senshi huffed, moving to brace her back against Witherite's once close. She chanced a look over her shoulder, and nodded.
"Got your back there." Shje noted. The glop close lunged, and ls moved to upptercut it. Miss Kitty shifted from Elpis' shoulders in amusement, and turned to climb to Witherite, before lunging for his opponent, hissing roughly.
"Don't mind if I do there then, boy~!" The mauvian purred.
