Agni-pariksha is on the move. Don't forget to fill in your posts or your rolls won't count!
Previous Location: Barracks LOCATION: Still Barracks The Regent was almost restless, almost ready to go back on the move.. but she was quite comfortable with her out-of-the-way elevated spot with a decent, if distant, view of the Sandstorm Refuge. So she settled in and tried to watch her surroundings without becoming too obvious in her perch. Staying in one place could be dangerous, but so could moving.
There were almost certainly seekers in the area, but they were making no noise. That was far more off-putting than the ones who were chatty, even quietly. All the more reason for Agni-pariksha to stay exactly where she was.

Once she was satisfied that she hadn't overlooked anything at the oasis, Tim-timana opted to return the sandstorm refuge to have a better look around there. This little game was growing more and more tiresome by the moment, but she intended to see it through regardless. There were better things she could be doing with her time, and she was beginning to regret wasting it on this, but she couldn't just up and quit now.

The Hongshan Quarter held nothing of interest, so Psyche decided to head back to the oasis. She had yet to truly get a good look around, as she'd been quick to run off to look elsewhere after her encounter with the gruff soldier. Hoping she'd be gone by now, the former Huria trekked back to the oasis for another look.

Team: Nuria, Ruber Location: Training Grounds "You..." Nuria swatted at him, though the smirk on her muzzle suggested it was a playful swipe. Ruber was always going to need being knocked down a peg or two, after all. Even if he did have reason for some of it. Some. And sometimes indulging it could be...rewarding. Ahem. "She's proving slippery, yes," she agreed, thinking. "I wouldn't mind checking the Training Grounds again." And with that, she started to move. ((No idea if I'm doing this right. WE SHALL SEE.))

No trace there, either. Mkazo's tail twitched irritably as the dark male paced back to the Hongshan Quarter. Doing his work within the pride lands hadn't gotten him rusty, had it? Then again, Blacksands had been...slightly more life-or-death. He, and the rest of the group, had been forced to stay sharp then. Maybe he should push himself harder.

The white lioness decided she'd spent enough time lazing in the Sandstorm Refuge and made her way back out to the Training Grounds. She saw lions of all shades, from true Firekin red to her own white, and so many variants, but not that dark red which marked Agni-pariksha. A small growl escaped Eish's throat. She supposed she had better scan the area thoroughly, just in case she was missing some clue to the Regent's location.

Team: Nuria, Ruber Location: Hongshan Quarter Ruber allowed his mate to drag him over to the Training Grounds, trusting that she had some kind of plan. Of course, his was more wandering around until one or both of them found the Regent, but he wasn't going to say such a dumb thing aloud where Nuria could hear. "I don't know, it doesn't look like she's here. Why not check the Hongshan Quarter instead?" the male suggested diffidently. Diffidently, because Nuria was prone to take offense at the weirdest things. Not that he cared, much, but given how long this search had been already, he didn't want his mate even more pissed off than she likely already was.

Huozin was refusing to leave off his search of the Barracks. He'd searched practically every corner, but the Hunter was determined to find something to make his hunt worthwhile. He had no proof that Agni-pariksha was even here, just sheer determination mixed with frustration. This had gone on longer than any duel he'd ever been in, and while Huozin prided himself on not letting those matches get under his fur, for some reason this game was doing just that.

It took a little while for her to notice, but eventually Alya spotted the rest of her teammates in the same area. Her nose wrinkled. "It seems like we're all having the same amount of luck, then," she called, moving towards the two. "Maybe we're not looking hard enough. Do you think perhaps it would be easier if we traveled together?" The lioness asked once she had neared enough. Her tail flicked back and forth behind her in a bit of frustration.
"In either case..." she started, her voice trailing off as she looked around, "I'm going to head and check at the oasis."
Team: Menkar, Chante-peta
(So, each of our rolls can be to lead the group around?)

Agni-pariksha is on the move. Don't forget to fill in your posts or your rolls won't count!
Previous Location: Barracks LOCATION: Still, still Barracks It took some careful movement but Agni-pariksha finally had her eyes on one of her seekers: Huozin had been in the Barracks about as long as she had and he hadn't spotted her yet, and somehow she'd only just managed to spot him. Either he was stubborn or he knew he was on to something, either way she was curious enough to continue camping out right where she was. She was starting to get comfortable.

Tim-timana, finding nothing in the sandstorm refuge, decided that it was probably past time she checked the Hongshan Quarter. The Regent was half Hongshan, after all, so it made a certain amount of sense. Not that anything about this exercise made much sense, in her opinion.

When her closer look at the area around the oasis yielded no leads, Pysche returned to the training grounds to check there again, though if she were to be perfectly honest, she wasn't exactly looking hard at this point. She was getting discouraged, and was more or less just wandering from place to place by this point. Once back at the training grounds, she heaved a sigh and sat for a few minutes to watch the sparring pairs.

Team: Nuria, Ruber Location: Barracks "Appears to the case," Nuria said in a distracted tone, gaze searching the area. Her plan wasn't any more elegant than Ruber's, but she'd be damned to admit such a simple plan to him. He'd probably laugh...or get damnably smug as he detailed his own strategy. No, she'd just act like she had some kind of system worked out unless he called her on it. As they worked through the Hongshan Quarter a bit, though, she shook her head. "Doesn't look like here, either. What about the Barracks? A lot of rocks to hide in there." Or on--there were probably some places you could climb up that could let someone watch nearly unseen.

Mkazo decided he was going to "check out" the Oasis, and grab a cooling drink while he was at it. Though his coat had grown less heavy, adapting out of sheer necessity, his dark fur was still a magnet for the heat. He was still watchful, of course he was, but he let down his guard a bit. Get a drink, be better able to stay at the top of his game, maybe catch Agni-pariksha when she--and the others--start to flag. He could make this work yet.
