Sawyer threw the medicine aside and looked up at Claire. Apparently something was wrong and he wanted to help. As much as he would hate to admit it, he does care for everyone's safety on the island. But he would never show it unless something terrible happens

movie_fanatic Boone opened his eyes slowly. He was so exhausted, and yet, he hadn't done much excersice before. The thought of Shannon with Sayid was still flotting around in his head. With a yanw, he shook his head and tried to get the thought away..though,of course, it stayed. With a large sigh, Boone stood up and walked to the entrence of the cave. ((Sorry it took me so long to reply, my computer was down for a while sweatdrop , and I wasn't sure if Boone shrugging off Shannon was so that you could maybe try and further a romantic or non-romantic plot-line with another character. )) It had taken what seemed like forever for Shannon to muster up the courage to approach to Boone again, and yet the action in itself took no time at all. He looked so peacefull there, resting against the rock that he seemed almost harmless, it was the perfect opportunity. She rose to her feet and began to approach where he sat, only to watch as he himself got up, apparently oblivious to her pressence, and head back in the direction he had come. Shannon stood undecidedly in the center of the camp for a few moments before jogging awkwardly after him, realizing for the first time that she was completely unsure as of what to say. As she finally caught up to him, she placed a hand gently on his arm, hoping he'd turn around. "Boone..." And somehow, for everything she felt, everything she'd wanted to say to him, no other words passed her lips.

Charlie swung at Ethan again, but Ethan was able to move quickly this time and pushed him to the ground. Charlie turned over and Ethan shoved his foot into Charlie's stomach. Pressing down hard, just ashe had done to Jack. Charlie ribs, that were broken, began to sear with pain and Charlie cried out.
"I'm going to kill you Charlie, then I'm taking Claire with me." Ethan spat down at him. "I want Claire." He shoved harder, then grabbed a handfull of Charlie's hair and pulled him up onto his knees. He pulled a dagger from his boot. "And I'll do whatever it takes to get her back. Even come back from the dead."

"Charlie... Ethan.... forest," Claire panted and sobbed. She tripped and fell to her knees on the beach. "Hurry!" she cried, "He's going to kill Charile!"

Jack shook his head. "No . . .but he's dead . .Ethan . . ." He trailed off and took off for the jungle. He prayed to God that he wasn't too late. "CHARLIE!" He called out.
Ethan leaned close to Charlie. "It hurts for only a minute. The metal, cutting into your skin . . .the sharp pain that runs thorugh you . . .then you can't breath . . .you'll feel the blood rushing from your throat . . .you fall over . . .then darkness .. . it's quick . . .hardly painless."
Charlie swallowed hard. His arms were pinned behind him by Ethan's other arm. "Why do you want Claire? What are you going to dow ith her?" He asked.
Ethan snickered. "That's funny. You asked me that the last time. . .but like I said then . . .it's none of your business."

Claire struggled to get back to her feet. She followed after Jack knowing that Charlie told her not to go, but she just couldn't leave him. He was the only one that made her feel safe and stuck by her, even her baby's daddy didn't even do that. Claire jogged after Jack the best she could.

Jack hoped that Sawyer and Kate were behind him. He'd need the help to get rid of Ethan. He jumped over a fallen tree and landed on his ankle. He cried out as something sharp went through his foot. A spike. Ethan's trick.
"DAMN IT!" He cried out.
Charlie heard Jack's cry. "What did you do?" He snapped.
Ethan laughed. "I planted a few traps for him. I knew they'd come for me. But Claire's coming abck and now no one will be able to save her." He pulled the knife across Charlie's neck some, just enough to make a small cut.
Charlie winced.

Claire ran to Jack's side. "Are you okay?" she asked looking at him with worry. "Should I go and get Sawyer? Maybe he can help?" she asked. Claire looked at him and then back to where Charlie was supposed to be.

Jack winced in pain. "Go get Sawyer Claire. DOn't go looking for Charlie on your own." He knew she wanted to go help Charlie, but then Ethan would have her again and he didn't want to think about what he might do to her. "Go get Sawyer!"
Ethan grinned. "You hear that? Claire's going to get Sawyer." he snorted with laughter, then cut Charlie's throat a little more. Deeper this time. A small trickle of blood began to flow down Charlie's neck, but ti wasn't enough to be fearful about.
"By the time anyone gets here I can cut your throat, hang your heart on a tree limb, do a little victory dance on your corpse and be long gone." Ethan snickered.

"Okay," Claire said getting to her feet again and giving Jack a quick look of fear. She ran to the beach calling for Sawyer and Kate hoping that someone would answer her she knew that something bad was going to happen to Charile if she didn't find Sawyer. "Please," she begged looking around for him. "SAWYER!" she yelled again.

Jack winced and went to touched the spike, but when he did he crie dout, it was too much pain for him to handle. Where was Locke? Sayid? Boone? Sawyer???!!! Jack couldn't believe it, but he really wanted SAwyer to come. For him to save the day.

Boone turned around, unsure of what to do or say. He was just so hurt and it showed. Of course, he had no proof anything was happening between Sayid and Shannon, but he was scared Sayid would take her away from him.
"What?"
He asked in a neutral tone.

Ethan let the knife slide across Charlie's neck again. Charlie struggled he had to get away. Ethan had tried to kill him once already. What was going to keep him from doing it again?
"Why do I have to be dead?" Charlie asked.
Ethan laughed. "Let you live? You'd try to kill me everytime my back was turned. You got the slip on me last time. Shooting me like you did. That was brillant."
Charlie gritted his teeth. "Well stop standing there, telling me that you're going to kill me, and just DO IT!"

Claire stood on the beach looking for Sawyer for a moment then she spotted Boon and Shannon. "BOON!" Claire yelled as she rushed towards him.

Sawyer had heard his name being called and ran to the beach. Unfortunately it took longer than it should have, as he tripped on a tree root ((hehehe.. whee )). "What's goin' on?" he asked, out of breath. He was worried.
