All of this was news to Dereck, and he could feel his eyes growing wider as she mentioned his other kid, and even her having confronted him. What made him angry was what Devil had said to her. He was treating her like she was just some other prostitute, and he was making Dereck out to be a bad guy. He just could not wrap his mind around why Devil was acting the way he was. When she finished speaking, he saw Devil pulling into the parking lot. "I told him I wanted to pursue you, and given that you used to date I figured it would be better to make sure he knew that I liked you..." his eyes followed Devil as he approached the pair, and when he grabbed Cadence and pulled her away, Dereck shot up from his seat like a rocket, his eyes red with anger. "Dev, what the ********> He was now at Cadie's car, and he moved to stand in front of Devil, right up in his face. "Who the ******** do you think you are? Treating a woman this way? Also, why the hell are you living a full second life that we all know nothing about?!" Devil had never told anyone about his kid, or even that he had any kids. This behavior from him was crazy, nothing like the Devil he knew. "Goddamn it, Dev! She is not drama, for ******** sake I invited her to come to dinner with me. I don't need you, or anyone else speaking for me. I can make my decisions myself." He moved to stand in front of Cadie's window, blocking Devil from getting to her. "Turn around and go inside. I will figure out what the ******** to do with you later. Don't do something you are going to regret." Dereck was beginning to regret the decisions he made having Devil watch over Grace, because given the way he was acting here and now, he was a danger to everyone.
Grace was messing around in her bathroom when Orion came and rang her door bell, so she ran to the door to let him in, giving him a big smile. "I love buffalo wings." She stepped to the side and let him walk inside, then she closed and locked the door behind him. She took the wings from his hands and took them into the kitchen, setting them next to the pizza before turning back around to face him, leaning against the counter. "I'm really glad you decided to come over.." She bit her lip nervously. Things were going really good for her right now, which was odd. Usually when things went this well for her it meant that something bad was to follow. But she did not want to focus on that, instead she wanted to focus on having a nice night with Orion.

"I am not okay with you seeing her! I don't want her around here! If she is going to be hanging around I am done!" Devil snapped and stalked away. "Stay out of this town, and away from my family Cadence! I swear to god, I will destroy everything and everyone you love, if you keep pushing me b*tch!" He hopped on his bike. "You know what, you want her around so much. Keep her. I am out." Devil rode off angrily.
Cadence sat in her car. She had her arms over her chest. She was pissed and she was hurt by Devil's behavior. She knew why he was acting this way. He was afraid she would hurt his son, or turn his Club against him. He was paranoid that his whole second life and past had finally caught up with him.
She lowered her window. She still looked up at Dereck. "Look....I'm sorry. I am not trying to come between your Brother and you. The Club can't run right if there is internal beef. Wait till he calms down some. Tell him you decided you don't want to see me. We go back to how things were before." She threw her purse into the seat beside her. "I'm sorry. I should have not come here. It was a bad idea."
Orion laughed. "That is why you let me in huh? You could smell the wings?" He teased as he followed her to the kitchen. He walked over to Grace and gave her a soft kiss. "I have something for you." He fished in his pocket and pulled out a set of keys. "These are your spare set for the locks I am about to install. And these...." He pulled out a second set of keys. This one had a tiny pizza keychain attached. "This is a set of keys to my apartment. No pressure. Just for you to have. So you can pop in if you want. I will talk to Cadie about moving in. Maybe you can help her....get comfortable with the idea?" He sat down at the table. "I really think it is time for her....time for her to come home. I happen to know she is all alone out there. Her long term boyfriend and her broke up and six months ago, and I don't want her alone. Especially not with all this going on. I know you of all people understand this because your in a similar position. Only....your brother is more respectful of your privacy then I have ever been with Cadence's. I am ashamed and partly embarrassed to admit." He smiled at Grace. "Enough about that. Sit, eat, tell me about your day." He stood up and went rummaging about for plates. "I actually had something I wanted to talk to you about anyway. Just...want to make sure we are on the same page."

Dereck let his eyes watch Devil ride off, and he did not say another word to the man. But instead, he turned around and turned his attention to Cadie, reaching into her window he gently grabbed her chin, turning her to face him. "If he could give up the club so easily, over something like this, then he is no brother of mine." His eyes were serious, and his jaw flexed a bit. On the inside there was a fire burning, and he would need to rally up some of the guys to burn off his reapers tattoo that they all had on their right arms. "Look, I want to get to know you better. I want to take you to dinner. But, I am not going to force you into anything. You should not let him bother you, Cadie. Don't let him take things away from you," He moved out from her window, and was now standing next to her car, with his hands shoved into his pockets. "If you want to go to dinner with me, then please stay and we will take my truck. If not, then I am not going to make you. You can take your time making your decision if you want." He smiled at her, and glanced behind him towards the club. They were going to need to start the process of finding a new prospect, someone to take Devil's place. But until then, he really wanted to have a nice dinner with Cadence.
Grace hummed softly against his lips, nodding at his assumption. "Of course I smelled them, I only like you because you feed me." She winked at him, looking down at the keys he held out to her. Finally she was going to be able to come home without fearing that Jackson would be waiting for her inside. "You have no idea how much I appreciate this.." She took both sets of keys to her purse, and returned to the kitchen with him. She grabbed a plate from him, nodding. "Of course. I love Cadie, and I am willing to do anything to help her out." She placed a slice of pizza on her plate, as well as a few buffalo wings, before looking at him again, this time raising an eyebrow. "Oh no, now you're making me nervous." She took a seat at the table, following him with her eyes.

Devil would never give the Club up. Despite his angry words. He would however make Cadence go away. He would ensure she would no long cause waves in his life. Or come between his Club and and him.
He rode over to his ex's house. He spent the time with his son. He loved his son Gavin, but had never come out to the Club about the boy. He figured the way to keep Gavin safest was if no one knew he existed.
Cadence popped open her car door. She stepped out and closed the distance between Dereck and her. She stood on her tip toes and took his his face in her hands. She kissed his lips shyly. "I would love to go to dinner with you. I want you to not take what Devil said seriously either. He is talking out of anger and jealously. He is not good at sharing. You know how he is...." She kissed him once more before stepping away.
Orion helped himself to some chicken and pizza. He stood up and grabbed them some napkins, and went in the fridge for some beers. He opened one and set it in front of her. Then open one for him and placed it near his food. "Don't give me that look Gracie dear!" He sat down. "I want to talk about Isabelle with you. I know our relationship is very very new. I realize not many people were even aware I was expecting a child. It is not something I broad cast for fear of Mother and child becoming victim of retaliation. I just want to make sure your okay with dating a parent, and understand I won't always be available with a new baby. I want us to see where this goes, but I want to make sure you realize things might be hard at times."

Dereck felt his heart jump when Cadie got out of the car and walked towards him, he gladly accepted her, letting his hands rest lightly on her waist as he took in her kiss. "Don't worry about that. I will find some time to talk with Dev about this whole thing. But for now, lets go out. I have something really special planned." He winked at her, placing his hand onto her lower back as he led her to his truck, making sure to open the door for her so she could get in, before going around to his side and getting into the truck. Once it was started, he glanced over at her once again, giving her a reassuring smile. "I'm so happy you decided to go out with me." His hand reached over to hold her petite one, before driving off. He had stopped by a steakhouse, grabbing some food in to-go boxes before he drove up to his special place he showed her days ago. "I figured we could enjoy a dinner next to this beautiful place, and watch the sun set over Greensville." He shut off his truck, grabbing the boxes of food before he walked over and let her out of his truck, leading her to the edge that overlooked the pond and waterfall.
Grace let out a relieved sigh, smiling. "I understand. And believe me when I say that I don't mind. I love children. I have always loved children." She grabbed the beer and took a drink of it, letting her blue eyes look into his. "I was worried about coming in between you and Isabelle's mother. I was not sure if you guys were going to try and work things out or not, and I would never want to come between a family." She swallowed hard, glancing down at the table for a few seconds. She had figured out today that she was still going to be able to have children, and that was good news, but it was a little bit saddening as well. But that was not what she wanted to think about tonight, instead she wanted to focus on enjoying whatever time she could get with Orion.

Cadence sat down beside Dereck and smiled. "This is a lovely idea...." She looked out at his special place. "Nice evening...." She laid back in the grass. Her hair pooling about her face. "I think I could just stay here forever. Peaceful...." She closed her eyes.
"No way! It will be a frosty day in hell before I get back with Isabelle's Mother!" He made a face. Then took a big bite of his slice. "She is an unfit Mother, and she is a train wreck unfortunately I did not come to realization until she was pregnant. She is crazy and a sociopath." He sipped his beer. "I would love for you to eventually want to be apart of Isabelle's life and mine's. You know in a full time capacity."

Dereck moved to lay next to Cadence, looking over at her as the orange light from the sunset lit up her face. "That is why I like coming here so much. It is like my own little slice of heaven." He moved forward and kissed her cheek softly, before sitting up again and cracking open a bottle of wine he had brought along, pouring her some into a plastic wine glass. "i would have brought glass, but I was afraid they would shatter." The corner of his mouth turned up into a smile, as he took a sip from the sweet red wine.
Grace was munching on her pizza and wings as he spoke, and she could feel her smile fade a little bit. "I'm sorry to hear that.." It was always a sad situation when there was a bad relationship, then there was a baby thrown into the mix. "I mean, I eventually want to have kids of my own, too." She was not sure if he had wanted a child in the first place, or if he even wanted any more at all. If he did not, then their relationship would not last as long as she would want it to. But if he did find himself wanting more children later, then she would most definitely want to stay with him. "I will always be here if you need anything. Even just to babysit." She winked at him, finishing her pizza. She then took her plate and set it down in the sink, moving back to her chair she was sitting in before.

Cadence smiled at Dereck. He had kissed her cheek, such a sweet gesture! She accepted the glass of wine. "Thank you. Plastic is probably best. I am such a light weight. Wine especially goes to my head." She chuckled and sipped the sweet red wine. "Back at my apartment....at home. I have like for bottles of this wine I LOVE. Sweet Bliss, it is a caramel apple white wine! Oh geez! It is delicious! I drink half a bottle and watch the room spin till I fall asleep." She turned her cell phone off. "I have a feeling Orion is going to ask me to stick around here around, to help out with the baby. If he asks....I think I will stay around."
Orion pushed his food aside. He quickly washed his hands and motioned for Grace to follow him. He began to change the locks for her. "I was never sure I wanted kids. I didn't think I would be a good father. I am still not sure I will be. I am dedicated to trying to be the best father I can be though. I hope one day I will have an actual family. Wife, kids....maybe do family camping trips. Be the type of Dad my Dad tried to be." He was done changing the locks in about 20 minutes, and was back to the sink washing his hands. "Soooo....should I be on my way Grace? Now that your door is....complete."

Dereck was sitting up on his elbows, looking out to the water fall. It was so nice to be here, away from all the drama that waited for them back home. When she spoke about possibly sticking around, a smile seemed to light up his face, and he turned to look at her. "I would like it if you did stay. That way I could take you out to more dinners, and finally get to know more about you." He sat up, picking up one of the styrofoam boxes, and handing it to her. "I know it's not the idea candlelit dinner that all girls crave, but it is some damn good steak and potatoes." He wiggled his eyebrows at her, before he dug into his own meal, finishing every last bite. Once he noticed she has finished, he grabbed another container, but this one contained some chocolate covered strawberries. "Women love chocolate..." He reached down and grabbed one for himself, eating the whole thing in one bite. "I like chocolate, too." This dinner was going so perfect, despite everything that Devil had done. It was nice to be up here with Cadence, where he did not need to think about club business, or anything other than focusing on the time they were spending together.
Grace stood against the wall, watching Orion work on all of the locks. "Thanks for doing this..Jackson can get pretty violent. It would just be better if he could no longer get inside my house without me knowing." When he finished, she pulled herself to sit on the counter next to where he was washing his hands. "I mean, I dont want you to go, if that is what you are asking." She smiled up at him, reaching to tuck away a strand of her golden hair behind her ear. "If you want to leave, I won't keep you." She kissed his cheek softly, smiling against his skin.

Cadence frowned at him. "You trying to fatten me up for eating boy!" She laughed and ate her potatoes. She didn't eat much of her steak. Maybe half since she was never big in red meat. She would go nuts over fish though. She was a huge seafood buff. "Not all girls dig candlelit dinners or chocolate...." She said after he whipped out the chocolate covered strawberries. "I happen to like chocolate though." She took one and took a bit though. "Dessert wise....I will say Flan is like my absolute favorite dessert in the world. I made four the other day. So....if you want to come over later. I also baked a few dozen cookies. My Aunt is losing her sh*t because the kitchen is over run with sweets. I can't help it, I get stressed I either drink, bake or take to my punching bag. Sadly my bag is not here. I need to lay off the alcohol, so baking it is!" She stood up and stretched.
She was an antsy little thing. She hated sitting still and was also a chatty friendly little person. It was probably why most of her school days were spent sitting next to the teacher. "Hey....just...putting it out there. You don't have to if it isn't your sort of thing. I can always have Jasper or even Killian come with me if your busy or what not. I bought these concert tickets a while back. They were for my ex and me. He hated the band but would never let me go to concerts alone so....he was going to go. Anyway! I bought tickets for the Five Finger Death Punch concert tomorrow night. I am leaving tomorrow morning, and will be at a hotel till the next morning. It is a six and half hour drive each way. Closer to where I was living, obviously! So....I have an extra ticket if that is your sort of thing." She was really excited about the concert, wasn't sure how her brother would feel if she took a Reaper with her for an overnight trip though. She had been living her own life up until this point, so she was going to continue doing so. She was not about to give up her freedom and be a slave of the Club.
Orion leaned against the counter beside Grace. He smiled up at her. "I love the offer, I really do. I am going to have to decline though. I am still setting up the baby's nursery at my place. She wasn't due for another almost 3 weeks so...I kind of waited till the last minute. I wasn't sure where I wanted her nursery to be. I wanted her at the Club so the women can help me with her. I know very little about babies....other then they hate sleeping through nights." He grinned at Grace. "Soooo....I have to go home and set up her nursery. I want my baby girl's room to be perfect when she comes to stay with me. I want to give the courts no reason to decide in her Mother's favor." He straightened up. "Besides....I wouldn't want you to think I put out on a first date! I'm not easy!" He teased and pulled her off the counter to him. He hugged her slender body to his. "I really like you shampoo." He inhaled deeply.

That sounded like an awesome idea. Dereck needed a small getaway from Greensville, and he loved Five Finger Death Punch. He stood up as well, making sure to clean the mess they had made and put it in the bed of his truck. "I would love to go. It would give me a reason to get away from all of this crazy stuff that has been happening." Once all of their things were loaded up into his truck, he escorted her back to the passenger side, making sure to open the door for her so she could get in. Once he got in and started up the truck, they took off back towards Shadow Creek. "So, you wanna take my truck or am I gonna be riding with you in your rental?" He had one hand on the steering wheel, while the other rested on top of her hand. Even though Devil was trying to make his night with her a living hell, the night had ended up going really well. And now they were making plans for the weekend. He finally arrived back at her aunt's house, and stopped. "I am really happy that you came with me tonight. I had a really good time.." He looked around, just to make sure there was nobody around that would get in the middle. He leaned forward, kissing her on the cheek.
Grace nodded her head, swinging her feet off of the counter. "I totally understand. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. I'm just a phone call away." When he pulled her off the counter she laughed, it was kind of unexpected. She laughed at his compliment, shaking her head. "I like it too, thats why I use it." Her arms snaked around his waist, and she watched him for a moment, before removing her arms, and patted his chest lightly. "Well, get to it! Go work on that nursery that you waited so long to finish." She winked and walked him to the door, leaning on the doorframe.

Cadence shrugged. "My car is ready....but I rather put the miles on the rental to be honest. So if your okay in going in the rental, I say we put the miles on it rather then our personal vehicles. My car is done but Kill is holding it ransom, he insists it is making a weird noise. I told him my car always makes noise. I just hit it and tell it to shut up." She rolled her eyes. "He didn't like how I handled random car noises...." She thanked him for the peaceful evening out and of course holding her door open.
Once back at her Aunt's house, she smiled as he looked around before kissing her cheek. "Flash back....was almost identical to my first kiss." She teased before she kissed his lips. "These guys don't frighten me, and they own me, and they are not running my life. I will kiss who I want, and when I want. If they have something to say about it, that is fine. I will hear them out before I tell them off." She ruffled his hair playfully. "Again....thanks for tonight!" She slipped out of the truck, and started up the walk way. Her Aunt was on the porch, and immediately Cadence joined her Aunt. She took the seat beside her and leaned forward to she what her Aunt was embroidering. The pair looked comfortable together, and it was really surprising how well they got along.
Orion chuckled at Grace's smarty pants retort. He loved a girl with some sass and personality. Long as it wasn't as much a** as his sister had! That was just too much! In his opinion a girl who could throw out one liners, and hold her own in a conversation or argument was extremely sexy.
He loved out spoken, independent fiery spirited women. He loved what they had to over to a relationship. He knew they made for both a fun and challenging partner. He kissed her quickly before saying his goodbyes.
He headed out, but took the route going past Cadence's Aunt Celeste. He just wanted to check out the place, make sure it looked like all was well. He spotted Dereck and his truck. He frowned. Was trouble a foot? He spotted Cadie kissing him, and slipping out of his truck. "Ohhhh. Okay then." He said to himself.
He decided to keep going. He was having a good night, and if those two wanted to have a fling....then go right ahead! He would see Cadence, the real her. From there he would have to figure out if he could handle a She-Devil like her. That was his problem.
He would not interfere. They were both grown ups, he knew she had dated Devil. He knew exactly what can of worms he was opening. If we wanted that sort of drama in his Club, that was his business.
Once at home he decided the polite thing to do was text Grace and let her know he arrived home safely. He took off his boots and put them on the low shoes rack he had in the living room. He hated wearing shoes. 'I made it home in 1 piece. ? 4 u. If we have kids N Cadie N Dereck have kids, are they super related? Cousins on both sides of the family can't be good rite? J/K! They r 2gether I think.'
Devil was waiting back at the Club. He was somewhat calmer now. Though the longer he waited for Dereck the angrier he got. This was not how Brothers did one another! He should have respected the bro-code and not went there. Not with Cadence, since their relationship had in fact been serious.

Once Cadence took a seat with her aunt, Dereck drove off, back towards Greensville and back towards the club. He was kind of excited that the night had gone well. But usually when things were going good for him, it meant something bad was going to follow. It didn't take him long to make it back to the club, and when he walked inside, he caught Devil waiting out of the corner of his eye. Tossing his jacket over a seat at the bar, he walked around and grabbed himself a beer, leaning up against the bar. "If you were serious about leaving the club, then you know what will have to be done about your tattoo, and your cut." His eyes looked him over, and he clearly did not look like he was happy. "I don't owe you an explanation, but I'm going to tell you this." He took a drink of his beer, and Jackson walked inside, seeing the seriousness of the conversation, he decided to stick around. "You do not own her, Dev. As a matter of fact, you do not own anyone. You and Cadence have been done for a long time, and it was you who decided to move on and have kids with someone else." He walked around the bar, taking a seat next to Jackson. "You chose not to tell anyone about this secret ******** life, and you chose to end your relationship with Cadence. Like it or not, we are together. Now, if that is something that is going to make you want to leave the club, so be it. But you know what will happen." He drank the rest of his beer, setting the bottle down on the bar as he waited for Devil to respond.
Once Orion left, Grace made sure to lock all of the doors, before cleaning up the kitchen and making her way into her room. She was pleasantly surprised at how nice the night had gone. Once she was tucked into bed, she got a message from Orion. Good :] LOL. I had no idea. MayB Dereck could use some1 like Cadie 2 calm his a** down. See u soon? Nite <3 She smiled down at her phone, and placed it on her nightstand, before she went to bed.

Orion glared back at Dereck. "I am not leaving the code over a piece of a*s. I am telling you now though, YOU broke the code. You should never have started anything with her. I am also warning you, whenever I see her there will be a problem. She is NOT wanted here. She is NOT welcomed here. She does NOT belong here. So you get a few loads off with her and move on. Or are you really about to let some p*ssy come between you, and one of your Brothers?" He grabbed another beer. "What I do with my d*ck is none of yours, or anyone else's concern. I never claimed to own her, only that I was there first, you knowing that should have backed right off. You know the rule, sisters, Old Ladies, and ex Old Ladies are off limits. Seeing as how she and I almost had a child together, that makes her off limits." Devil got up, and shook his head. "Let's see how many Brothers will respect your decision to chose p*ssy over a Brother. See how cold it is when your riding alone." He walked off, heading to his room in the Club.
Orion had invited his sister over. They were doing a bit of brotherly and sisterly bonding. "No you dork! That looks wrong!" "Cadie, I am following the directions!" "It looks wrong though!" "That's because it's not done!" He pushed her hands away. "You can't even hang a picture frame straight Cadie! Leave the building to me! Why don't you wash the baby clothes." She huffed and got up. "Can't figure out the washer?" "That's why your here." He replied and she just laughed and went out to the kitchen to start the baby's laundry. "Are you hungry?" She yelled her question to her brother. "No food here!" She sighed and put the laundry on, before she returned to the nursery. "Gimme money." She said and held her hand out. "You sound just like every other chic I have ever dated." He replied as he stood up. She slapped his arm and he hand her a few twenties. "No weird sh*t." "Your face is weird!" Cadence replied and turned. She walked off, grabbed her bag and keys then was on her way.
Cadence looked at her phone and decided a text was needed. Two texts actually. She paused once inside her car and sent the texts. Dereck, We can leave in about an hour. I am helping my brother. The next text was to Grace. Hey Grace, I wanted to tell you this in person, but it never seems to happen. Your brother and I are sort of dating. Not sure if this is serious or, if it will work out. Just wanted to be up front with you. She hit send and headed to the grocery store.

Dereck growled at Devil, glaring at him. He approached the man, shoving him back into the wall. "Have you forgotten your place here? You do not make the rules, a*****e." He removed his hands from Devil's chest, straightening out his shirt from where he had gripped onto it when shoving him against the wall. "She had never been your old lady, and never will. Just because you almost had a child with her, means nothing. She is fair game." Jackson and Nate had all stood up to attention, just in case things were going to get bad. "Keep your ******** opinions to yourself. If you don't like what is going on here, that is your own personal s**t. Get your ******** head on straight and know your place." He walked away, going back into his room where he had remained for the night. When he woke up the next morning, he received a text from Cadie, and grinned. Today was a new day, and it was the day that he was going to get away from his ******** problems. He replied to her text, before getting up and packing a small duffle bag. I'm ready when U R ;] Once he sent it and had his bags packed, he walked out into the main room and whistled, rounding up the guys. "I'm going out of town for the weekend. Jackson will be in charge since he is the VP. What he says, goes. No issues." He looked at Devil, his blue eyes serious. Grace woke up early the next morning, and was on her morning jog when she received the text from Cadie. It did not surprise her, since she had been told about it the night before from Orion. She stopped where she was, and decided to reply. Great! My bro is a good guy, I promise. If he is mean to u, just call me and i will kick his a**. <3Once the text was sent, she ran the rest of the way home, arguing with herself if she should say anything about her and Orion yet. She decided against it, for now. Cadie had a lot on her plate right now, anyways. Instead, she sent a text to Devil, wanting to make sure he was alright. Hey. come over to my place. I have leftover pizza and beer. We need 2 talk. Once that message was sent, she went inside and took a shower, changing into one of her favorite outfits. Her long hair was hanging down her back, her natural waves showing.
