Kailani's eyes widened as a giant wolf lunged forward into the fray of boars, squeaks and squeals and shrieks as the boar fought back, and the others turned to help their attacked brethren, the first pig went down quickly but there were two more already rushing to attack the wolf.

The small elf watched with deep fear and amazement in her gaze at the scuffle of fighting. She was terrified as she had honestly almost forgot to breath, she was frozen, clutching the stone in her hands and eyes locked on the battle. As one if the boars backed up to attempt to rush Moira, it kicked up dirt with it hooves and Kailani began to cough, covering her face. There was suddenly another strong gust of wind that blew the dust to the east and Kailani wonder slightly. The earth below her shifted beneath her feet as she reached out a hand but had nothing to grab onto as she threw the stone away from her and it landed on the ledge with a thud and light chiming. Kailani let out a scream as she plummeted from the ledge into the darkness below. There was the sound of several branches breaking within trees and them the sound of her body hitting a pool of water.

The boars were overpowered by Moira's strength easily as, soon enough, the last two boars took off running into the woods, hooves quickly stamping along the ground in a hurry to get away. One of the boar even slammed into a tree upon it's escape, disoriented and bleeding as it ran.

Even with heightened sense, Moira couldn't tell how far the drop was or what was at the bottom as there was only silence now. The glowing blue stone laying there in the bit of grass where Kailani had stood just seconds ago.

Panting softly after the fight, she looked up to where Kailani had been and her stomach dropped. Running forward, she grabbed the orb in her mouth and swallowed it whole before launching herself off the side of the cliff. Though, as she did, the horror of the water rushing to meet her met her eyes and she started to flail her legs about, whimpering though no one could hear her. She was immediately regretting her decision, but her wolf instincts had taken over her mind and told her to jump and save the one she needed to protect, but it could end for the both of them if she wasn't careful.

A rush of water as Moira hit the surface of the small lake below, her form dragging her down quite quickly until the scenery faded to black as her inability to surface caused her to fall unconscious.

Some time later, Moira would awaken, still drenched in water, but laying on cold slick rocks of what appeared to be the entrance to a cave. Inspection of her own body would show she had returned to her humanoid form and she had two arms now, as though her left arm had never been removed in the first place.

Further into the cave was pitch black besides a faint glow of lights deeper within and Kailani's green blouse was sitting just further in against some rocks as if to dry and the wet footprints walking inward as it appeared someone had dragged Moira into the cave then wandered off only minutes ago.

Groaning as she regained consciousness, Moira move to sit up, but soon had to roll onto her side and cough up quite a bit of water. Shaking a bit once she had finished coughing, she looked over to her left arm, one that was not made of gemstone like she had been doing as of late, but a solid, fleshy arm. Eyes going wide, she sat up and felt along the arm with her right hand, tears threatening to spill as she ran her fingers over her new arm. Letting out a shaky sigh, she move to stand, shuffling through the cave.

Spotting the blouse, Moira knelt down to get a better look before looking up and around. following the footprints into the cave, she kept herself silent this time.

The cave itself was damp and drips of water against the speleothem that lined the sizes of the cave. It was quiet and the noises among the dark cave could honestly make serene music with the echoes of the aquatic droplets and the slick feel of the formations. The cave as a whole looked delicate as though it had originally been made out of a sinkhole in the first place and carefully formed and cared for by the unconditional love of the rain water that seeped through the ground above.

As Moira continued on, the dim glowing bore a brighter hum of faint light from colorful lanterns that decorated the entrances of the different paths. Blue, Green, Yellow, Purple, and Red. The lanterns were made from waxed paper and held a small candle within lit with magical fire that would never burn out, much like the lanterns within Treles, yet they were all blank and unwritten on. There was a faint voice singing in the distance but it was impossible to tell where the voice was coming from at the intersection of the webbing tunnels.

Please choose which path by lantern color.

Following along the path to the cave where the path split into five, Moira looked at all of the lantern colors before following the string of red ones.

Moira continued to follow the red colored lanterns, ignoring the other colors presented and moved further into the cave. Every so often, she could swear she heard small giggles and the pitter patter of bare feet running down a few of the tunnels. The singing was getting louder, the melody becoming more familiar as the one she hear Kailani singing when they were going to the center of Treles.

"cryien ar' wailien lapse'
mani y' delothe anta
amin will sana lle 'ksh- elees
lle il- oio kela sina yamen'"

The words were becoming more clear despite a soft sound of rushing water that was building up as she made way closer to the voice. The next intersection posed a bit of a challenge however as the lanterns had been knocked down at the intersection and were scattered on the ground. The sound of multiple sets of footsteps smacking against wet rock and giggling moved off towards her left. Just ahead, she could her rush water and someone talking now paired with the sound of someone softly calling her name, and to her right was the song she kept hearing, sung by a soft female voice.

Which path shall Moira choose:
  • To the left, toward the giggling.
  • To the right, where someone is singing a familiar song.
  • Just ahead, towards the sound of water and someone calling her name.
  • Back the way she came.

Looking around the intersection, Moira ran her hands through her hair and looked around. The giggling was enticing, but only because it could be kids running about, the one calling her name was eerie, but the one with the song was the most alluring. Following the song to the right, she move her right hand to hold her left arm, where the stump had originally ended when it hadn't been a full arm.

Moira move down the right path way and the person singing grew louder as the end up the path opened up into a large cavern with numerous sinter pools, woven roots with rock formations that created pools of shallow water. Kailani was sitting down at the edge of one of them, singing softly to herself within a sorrowful tone as she used a piece of ripped cloth to clean the blood from her face and leg. There were glowing white butterflies fluttering about through this section of the cave as Kailani was facing away, unaware that Moira had approached. Kailani leaned down to fill a small container with the water in the sinter pool and put the container into the small leather bag on her belt.

"Kailani..?" She called out softly, not wanting to startle the girl, unaware on if this was another part of a dream, or if this was reality, or if the other section where she had spoken to Sigen was reality. Everything was getting confusing, but right now, she wanted to make sure that she was seeing correctly. That the girl was Kailani and not just her mind playing tricks on her.

Kailani turned whipped her head around as a voice broke the silence, stopping mid-song as she stared Moira with almost disbelief. "Aiya... Moira.. you're okay.." she spoke in a frail voice with a strained sigh of relief. She came to a stand and moved toward Moira, no longer having difficultly with her leg as it appeared the deep gash had been healed up. "Are you hurt? The water,... it can heal you.." she informed moving to hug her, being gentle but still holding on tightly as though the fear of letting her go would make her disappear again. "...Amin dele ten' lle.." she spoke softly, letting out another deep exhale. Pulling away from Moira she looked at her left arm, blinking with a slight confusion and weariness. She was about to ask her about it but decided against it for now as she really just wanted to make sure that Moira was okay.

Seeing that it was indeed Kailani, Moira accepted the hug, an hugged her back, gently. Keeping the girl held in the embrace, she just smiled, which grew a little bigger, "Oh thank god, I was so worried.. I don't even know what's going on anymore, and I'm not hurt, at least not that I'm aware off.. I just.." she paused, closing her eyes to think then opening them and looking down at Kailani. "I can't really tell what's reality and what isn't anymore now, I keep changing forms...from wolf to a humanoid one....and I can't tell if I'm dreaming or awake.."

Kailani appeared to be very concerned for Moira as she spoke, unable to discern whether she was awake or dreaming and even more concerning was the description of changing forms. "So that wolf that attacked the boars.. was you?" she asked trying to piece it together. "I think the gods are trying to speak to you... that's the only thing I can think of... The forest is magical, and it's been known to swallow up those with doubt in their hearts that wander into it, but you.. you are different." she then smiled at Moira. "You are not lost... I think you are exactly where you need to be..." she spoke before taking her hands into Moira and began to lead her down a path between the small pools of water towards a very large and likely very deep section of water that led further into the cave. Kailani walked backwards as she guided Moira to the edge.

"Do you trust me?" she asked calmly before taking a step backwards onto the water but never sinking down into it, walking onto the water and gently pulling Moira with her if she would continue. "The island has many secrets.. and I think it's trying to show them to you."

She nodded, "Yeah, the wolf was me. I was hoping I still had enough of my mind to attack them and not you.." Moira let out a soft sound, making it clear that she was still wary o her own strength. Looking at Kailani as she spoke about the gods and them wanting to speak to her, she tilted her head a little before the girl took her hands and lead her to the edge of a pool of water. Eyes growing wide, she was quite clearly scared, even as she watched as Kailani never sunk down into the water.

Swallowing hard, her body shaking a bit, she seemed to be struggling with the fear that was taking over her. But, the last time that she had done something like this, she had someone with her to help her...an Kailani was here to help this time. Nodding, Moira took a step forward onto the water.

Kailani kept her eyes fixated on Moira, breathing deeply and calmly. "Don't be afraid... only you can control your fear... the water cannot hurt you." she assured, leading her further along the water and into a large tunnel. "If you doubt your courage to overcome your fear, it will consume you."

As they moved slowly down the tunnel, faint blue markings began to illuminate the walls slowly, markings very reminiscent of the ones of Kailani's sword. Almost digital but looked like they were etched deep into the earth of the walls. The fluttering white butterflies trailed along around them as Kailani just smiled, continuing to walk until the tunnel opened up into a huge cavern with numerous stalactites that lined the ceiling among the glowing markings that scatter across the rock walls and the water shallowed just enough and lead down into another pool of deep water. The white butterflies were swarming about someone, as a very small girl looked back at them, she stood there in the middle of the body of water, butterflies fluttering away from her as she turned. The small child looked much like Kailani, tan skin and elven ears and red eyes, although her hair was very short and curly and she wore a small black dress and a necklace with a moon pendant on it. The little girl smiled to Moira and raised up a hand to beckon Moira towards her over the deep water as she stood there.

"Now that you know what to do... you can go to her..." Kailani spoke softly, looking to Moira reassuringly. The water below the girl began to swirl with color even if the water remained perfectly still, hues of luminescent blues and purple and pinks moved slowly through the water as humongous gelatinous blobs pushed through the water trailed by long curls of dim pulsating lights.
