Kyouko had continued on her way, stopping for a moment to look at the Tower at the distance, and shifting her pace. "Koooou! Kyoooou!" She cupped her hands together and called out to her brothers, the girl flinching as she stretched her wound. Damn... that guy had gotten her good. The jerk...

Lucky for her, the path the girl was walking through had gone quiet. At least for now. And she wasn't about to complain.

Kisa

Which, at the moment, mostly consisted of wiping out the hordes of demons that continued to infest this town, including several that were stepping forth to fight with each other. Well, that was the way things went, she supposed... and at least it was a good experience. That aside, she really did need to see if she could formulate some kind of strategy here...

The girl looked up, hearing something moving somewhere in front of her, and she tensed, her whip already on the ready. A little Kodama appeared in front of her, waving its little arms, almost as if trying to get her attention somehow. Kyouko tilted her head and rose her arm in front of her, ready to strike it. The little pipsqueak fretted and ran off, but never too far for her to lose it. "What are you even doing, you little weirdo?" It wanted her to follow it, maybe? "If this is a trap...oh, poor of you." Still, she followed and was pleasantly surprised when she found her brother there. "Oh! Kou! It really wasn't a trap!" she threw herself at him, hugging him very tightly. Her clothes were all smeared with blood -mostly hers- and she moved a little slower than usual...but still there was a big smile on her lips. "I thought I wouldn't see you again! Why did you disappear like that?" she protested, shoving him and pouting as she placed her hands on her hips. "I almost died! There was this creep that was all "'Dur, I will challenge you!' and he was just toying with me. And he totally beat the crap out of me. Like...he punched a hand right through my chest. See? See!!"

"Beg for forgiveness in the afterlife. En nome de patri, et fili, et spiritus sancti." Hei raised his blade, before slamming it down into the head of the last demon. The horde was vanquished, and though he never gave their slaughter a second thought, he still wished mercy upon them...at least, one that was divine. Many believed that the beasts that lived in the underworld were there of their own choosing, unwilling to admit their sins and ask for forgiveness, and so they were eternally tormented. So it was that he did not hesitate to repel them, but at the same time he could say a prayer over them, and hopefully one day they would realize their error...but until then, he would purge them from the streets. For this, the invasion...was their greatest sin.

More of the fluttering nuisances were soon banished to the underworld as Hei began to wander into a nest of the more passive, humane demons. Unfortunately for them, he drew the line cleanly between those who were human and that which was not, and so not even a passingly human appearance or the begging of a false conscience could stir him, and so he slew the monsters that masqueraded as peace loving beings, removing their foul stench from the human world. The taint would hopefully not sully human air for too long...the miasma hanging heavily in the air was already an impurity weighing heavily enough that it's purification would take time.

Ah, Hikawa was now inside of the ruined remains of the Mist Wall, it seemed. Such a glamorous symbol of society's power and beauty, once upon a time, it had been ruined by an attack on the Kirijo before the world had even changed it seemed. Hei respected the taste of Mitsuru in it's design, but the building was the type that would only draw the ire and envy of others, and the clandestined nature of Mitsuru's business should have been enough to forewarn her of that inevitable fate in the first place. But it's research was rare and valuable information, capable of giving great power to those with the knowledge to use it. And Hikawa was someone intelligent enough to decipher the Kirijo's documents...yes, even Hei had to admit that his taste in location was remarkable. Or perhaps, it was no coincidence. Soon, he would have to learn of Hikawa's true objective, for the help that he had offered the sleek suit wearing son of a b was beginning to cost him on a level that outweighed it's gain...but if it turned out there was a true, pure future to be obtained through those methods, then that would all change. Hikawa was like the face to Hei's own goals now, it seemed, and though he wasn't ready to admit their mutual affiliations just yet, only time remained to separate them...and that too, was beginning to run thin.

A single note from the lesser Trumpeter was all it required for Hei to literally reduce a horde of demons before him to particles, their bodies folding under the pressure of the song as if it had crushed them beneath immense gravitational waves. The force had been so strong, they weren't squeezed down like a pancake, but broken into bits as if their very bodies had fallen apart, and the ground was covered in a grotesque matte painting of demonic remains, and yet the pavement underneath showed no signs of damage from such theoretically unstoppable force. No, the only ones effected were the demons. It was at once a wide sweeping, and yet incredibly acute attack, meant to erase the hellspawn from existence when Hei used it...and it was working.
