 Ellie TroitEllie continued her pace around the building at this, moving to carry pies, burgers, fries, and other foodstuffs to the hungry masses.
It was enough for her to keep on her toes, even during rough times....And, she saw Youmu and Nekura resting in a booth. A warmth started to fill her heart looking at the two...as she saw a familiar face flutter in.
"Ah! High Pixie! I knew you'd be back!" she called, seeing the hat on the demon's head. "And you even went to demon college! And we took our revenge on your passing and everything!""Ah? Oh..Definitely! And, I've got lots of things to make our place even better! So, will you let me join you again, Ellie?""On...Oneeeee condition."

Flauros was the final Fallen in the city, and while Mataki thought that the demon would definitely hide until a later day, it had instead been bold enough to issue a challenge to Mataki directly, and the two were now facing off. Flauros was commander of Okina it seemed, and the Fallen that he had eliminated so far were it's lieutenants, it's commanders and the leaders of the other demon hordes. They had been wary enough to avoid Jorm, but Mataki was acting as a survivor right now and so they had let their guard down, and allowed him to come a little too close...and now the forces of Hell were in complete disarray. Flauros was the last hope they had of holding a significant presence in Okina, and while time would tell whether that meant anything, in reality this was a decision that fate had already reached. Mataki would kill it now, and then drain the strength from this powerful Fallen and into his own...and Okina would seem a bit lighter tomorrow. It looked like Fenrisulfr was here to check on the progress in Okina, and also to see if Mataki had found the way to Inaba yet. Of course he had, and so the meeting was a surprisingly formal affair, unlike the venom spewing exchanges that he and Jorm often had with one another. Fenrirsulfr was the most relateable for Mataki, and though Hel and Jorm were useful, it was the leadership qualities and coolheadedness of Fenrir that gave Mataki faith in the sons and daughters of Loki, albeit with the added note that they all thought their dad was a p***k who liked to pull tricks all the time. Yes, even Fenrir knew that turning on Loki when the opportunity presented itself was probably a wise decision, and while he was likely on Loki's side for the length of this war, making him Mataki's enemy in the end, another day the two might be comrades...and with his considerable wisdom, any words from Fenrisulfr were worth heeding. A battle with App Users! Mataki hadn't expected this to happen, and seeing humans using their own powers against their fellow survivors was disheartening. This was the fault of Louis, but he knew that it didn't change the fact that these humans had opened their hearts to these evil deeds, and embraced the darker parts of their desires. He couldn't forgive this kind of action...no, just like the bullies from Yasogami, they were his charges, and while he would see to it they survived, for now they were going to be severely punished. He wasn't about to let them kill anyone, and he was going to make sure that they couldn't turn their Apps against others again. Skadi! Mataki hadn't expected to run into a survivor of the Norse Pantheon here, but this was even more relevant to him. After all, Mataki had obtained the power of the snake that Skadi had once summoned, the beast whose poisonous fangs could render eternal torture upon even gods...that was, it was the being once destined to drip poison in Loki's eyes every day until the coming of Ragnarok, a fate that Mataki didn't find all that unenviable. But Skadi was a creature that commanded the snake in that mythology, and this was no mere fairy tale...Mataki would thus turn fate about, and it would be the snake charmer goddess who suffered the fate of being bitten by it's own weapon. Loki might still suffer, but there would be no Ragnarok this day, nor any day in the near future...Mataki would prevent it, and the first step to making sure that his plan wasn't foiled was tying up loose ends. Especially rogue Norse Goddesses who had turned to serving Louis Cypher...ones who should have sided with him, even if he had once bitten her hand. Your new Prince of Bel, Mataki Hito
A crown hung above the pavement, the demon that wore it hiding beneath the surface. Mataki had found this odd, but further investigation revealed it's true nature mere moments ago...and now he was looking upon it with some hesitation. Aciel was a manifestation of the lowest region of Hell, otherwise known as Gehenna. In other words, it was a demon that could call itself king of lesser demons, the realm that only the mightest of the Princes could enter. And here it was, taunting him, or perhaps tempting him with it's presence. Underneath the crown was a portal leading straight to their greatest enemy, and while it was a tempting offer to Mataki, he knew what it was...an offer of betrayal, a playful call to leave Loki and sway the war in his favor. But Mataki was no servant of Loki, and in this Aciel had miscalculated. It's master thought this was a two sided battle, but Mataki had no intentions of winning for the Trickster...he would bring glory to the kingdom above, and with Michael and the others he would restore Order to this world. That was his true vision, and so beating down Aciel before it could communicate his refusal to it's master was the first step he had to take. A trap was foolish if sprung too early, and so Mataki held to the cardinal rule...patience would reward him, in the end. A powerful megidolaon sent a wave of energy rippling down the street, blowing away the demons that were rushing towards Mataki. The spell was enough, and bodies went flying and disappearing into Magatsuhi as Mataki cleansed the part of Okina nearest the train station. He knew now that he could escape through the Amala Network, and he planned to use it soon, but he wanted to make sure that the train station remained safe before he left. After all, if they could fix it, the train might be a good way to travel between cities...at least if it was repaired. That might not be as hard as it sounded, compared to roads, or other means of transportation, so he saw it as a priority for humanity's survival...of course, that was only when things improved, he reminded himself again. The angel was quite capable of handling the horde of demons near the train station, and so the purification of the area neared its end, though Mataki didn't feel that accomplished after striving for so long. Or perhaps it would be more correct to say, he felt that he was growing strong, but only near his original power. Combined with that, he would grow immensely from this challenge, but this Okina battleground had been less fruitful than he imagined...and now, it was time to remind Loki that he didn't appreciate his games, by returning to Inaba. Rioters? On MY lawn? For shame humans! There was no more time to waste in Okina, but removing the cellphones from the hands of such dastardly people was the least Mataki could do for a city that had been so good to him, and so he did. He removed the cellphones, and tossed the humans in the shelter near the train station...they could survive and had the water and food necessary, but wouldn't be able to cause trouble for others again. A single demon had dared to try to enter....and, the two angels speared it from both left and right angles. Enough for it to disperse into Magatsuhi, and leave their summoner at peace.

And, relaxing with the girl was...comforting, if a touch embarrassing. This wasn't the kind of thing he expected to be doing when he woke up from his slumber.....
Though, the temptation rang out in his mind...and the power of his desire manifested in the form of drawing out a new demon. Which, would be much more impressive..

Ellie TroitEllie finally finished clearing out the crowd of customers she had, save for the human visitor if she had stuck around...And she circled around to the front of the establishment to see Youmu and Nekura, both fast asleep in a booth.
"Aww.." she called softly, a hand going over her heart as she cooed. She moved over at this, sitting across from the silver haired girl, and placing her hand over hers.
"You care about him a lot.." she spoke, in a soft voice. "I'm sure he feels the same way."
Not that her words could really reach the sleeping girl, or rouse the boy...but, she could tell that the girl heard her...Even without a response. The soft smile on her sleeping face....

That was the only word her subconscious mind could think of to describe how she felt.
She felt...warm. Warm with the comfort of friendship...Warm with the knowledge her friends were safe...and, Warm at her possibilities in the future.
The world was in a terrible place as it was, but in this moment..where she slept in the booth with Nekura in her lap, Ellie across from her stretched out...and the demons all watching over them...blasting anything that approached with evil intentions.[Like a nasty frost demon]....She could be at peace.

However, her attention was quickly stolen away by a Archangel who handed her a plate holding a single burger that nearly shined with magnificence. It looked almost too good to eat! Almost... The martial artist took one bite and her eyes instantly lit up. THIS THING IS DELICIOUS! Maybe it was because she had nothing really tasty to eat since she found herself in this shamble of a world, but she swore it was the best thing she ever ate. "Hey, do you know who made this thing!?" Hitomi asked a nearby demon who was sitting at the next table. Lucky for the girl, they were one of this fine establishment's first customers, and also a very loyal one. "A green haired human girl by the name of Ellie." They responded. Hitomi wasted no time scanning the room for a green head of hair, and when she spotted her, the lass stood from her seat and made her way over with burger in hand - hands, actually; she didn't want to risk dropping the incredible food item. "Your burgers are friken' delicious!"
