And, he held out his swords.

He could feel a fire burning inside of him..The flames of life stoking through him, and starting to revive the girl....Oh..And literal flames. Yeah. There was fire...
"Come forth, being whose soul burns almost as bright as mine!" he called, gesturing. "Pyro Jack!"
Flames roared to life, as the boy joined in the assault, cleaving, rending, and burning all in his path. All...in the name of saving the girl.

'Thank you.." she uttered softly, pushing herself up once more as the boy started on his way....As another encounter came towards her.
"I will not...Fall to you." she called sternly, a surge of energy flowing through her. She closed her eyes, and focused, a hand resting on her blade....As energy shone from her app once more.I am Dominion...Let us judge these sinners together.She had beckoned forth yet another demon..And, as she drew the strike..powerful light magic followed....
And what was a formidable threat suddenly faded into magnetite, the girl resting a bit against the wall.

A demon floated above her, drawing it's own weapons as she glanced up at it.
"I don't believe you understand what you're dealing with..." the girl called, watching the demon raise an eyebrow. No sooner had it begun it's assault, did the Powerful Angel under her command force it to the ground with a well-placed bash of it's staff...And she cleaved it in twain with her own weapon once more.

"Show me a hero, and I will write you a tragedy"It did bother him a little how desensitized he had become to the death and destruction of these demons as the decapitated domes of his duo of devilish dastards were downed to the floor. But he knew that he had to be hardened in that way if he was going to survive in this world, in this new reality that threatened to overwhelm them all. So many people had died in this world already; you either fought and you lived or you struggled and you died. That didn't mean he had to discard his humanity, however. And as the bodies of the Gozuki and Mezuki bled out on the alleyway floor, he nodded and offered the faintest of smiles to Shun before the flighty bird took off, leaving him alone once more with his Lilim in the tattered alleys of the town that he had fought so hard to keep from just this sort of ending. But it wasn't the end, he had to remind himself...there was still a war going on, and there were still people to save. He knew in his heart that there were more, that Yukiko must be somewhere out there as well, and of course, Minori and Genji were still fighting back in town as well. But he knew that being near them might put them in undue danger right now. He had to figure out what was going on. He had to know the truth behind the Candelabrum...and how, if he could, he might strike back at the red-haired Fiend that bedeviled them.
"Lilim, could I trouble you...to patch me up, too?" he asked, rubbing at the gashes on his arms, and taking a deep breath, "Thank you. ...We're going to face a lot more danger before the day is over. I can feel it."Quote: 19 Tokens

"Ohh gods..A Park bench." she called, moving over to plop down on it in a rush. She let out a LOUD, sigh of relief as she slumped back into it.
"For all of the miracles that have occurred today.." she thought, easing into it. "This has got to be one of the best ones."
It was strange how the littlest things could mean so much to you, when you had to fight for your life in unfamiliar barren wastelands. Though, even god times had to pass eventually...and she got off her rump and got back to pacing..Looking for someone. She could see the powerful light magic encompass the Frost demon that had attacked her...But she couldn't see where it had gone to when it vanished.
"Good work.." she called, picking up the singular token, and continuing along. She was a demon summoner, after all..She could rely on them, just as well as they could rely on her. "Oh...Joy.." the girl called to herself, as she readied her weapon...And held it up.
"Listen...I'm here to help and protect my friends! If you wanna strike me down for that..Well...."
She gripped her blade tightly...as her phone glowed...and a mysterious skull, with a snake running through it's eye appeared.."You'll have to deal with usssssssssss"The girl had drawn out another demon with her will again...And she could tell by how the Holy demon trembled...
"Darkness!" she commanded, pointing her sword skyward as the golden being was..swallowed up by the dark energy, and drug down into presumably Hell. Youmu sighed, and sheathed her blade again, looking around.

"...You see the surface, but my eyes see more..."It hadn't been easy to watch Soji walk away, but the resolution in his senior's voice had made him understand that trying to follow him would have only made him run harder. He wanted to protect them from what was hunting him, because it was a threat that was targeting him specifically, or so he thought...but perhaps he didn't know that the red-haired fiend wasn't just after him? Or maybe he thought he could draw it away from the others? Whatever the reasons, Soji was gone for now, and Genji was left to explain to Minori where he had gone...her return to his side and taking his hand was a great comfort now, the journey that had lead him here making it still difficult to really relax in spite of the way that she made him feel. That didn't stop him from taking some solace in her warmth, or lifting her hand between them and pressing his lips to the back of it just once to ease the haunted look in her eye. And he noticed now that her Pixie was missing...knew the look in her eye had likely been in his own only a short while earlier. Wasting no time thinking, worrying, he pulled her close into his chest and hugged her...tight, just for a moment.
And when he released her, he looked into her eyes and found the steel that had almost wavered before renewed. Even if he had to die, he would not let Minori come to harm. He couldn't...no matter if the world around them had come to an end, so long as she lived, his world was standing.
"I believe he is under a lot of pressure right now. ...More than an even we know right now. Perhaps he feels a measure of responsibility for the Calamity?" he reasoned calmly, glancing off in the direction he had gone a few moments earlier a little sadly, "But his resolve is as strong as ever. I admire that about him. Although that doesn't mean we have to allow him to face this alone. ...Am I wrong?"
...He said as much, but it was only a few moments later that a silhouette appeared in the very same alley, icy blue eyes peering out of the abyss at him as though he were some kind of meat. The instinct to flee hit him just then, but he knew that he didn't have time. He only had the time to reach out and push Minori aside from the blast of icy death that erupted forth in a harrowing laugh from the Fiend's mouth.
...He didn't have time to cry out, to warn her, to say a single word...before he was thrust back against the rubble of Tatsumi Textiles and laid out flat, his head cracked and bloody, spilling down over the smooth porcelain features of his face...staining them...
Leaving him there to bleed out and die...Quote: 0 Tokens.

"Show me a hero, and I will write you a tragedy"It was as Lilim was patching him up that he heard the beeping from his Cathedral of Shadows App; opening up his phone and clicking on a new tab which read 'Bounties', he took stock of the fact that the man who had created the App was now posting devils under the command of the two Lords of Hell for assassination. There were even rewards for the killings, and while the whole thing felt a bit too black-ops for him, a little too dirty, when he saw that the Gozuki that he had killed was listed under one of the bounties...the payment that he received as a result was enough to make him consider the benefits of this uneasy alliance. Whatever the Red Viper who had saved them all planned, he was clearly on the side of humanity against Loki and Lucifer. For that reason alone, he supposed, he would be willing to work with him up to a point. But his suspicion remained; he needed to know far more if he was going to make a final choice to side with or hinder their erstwhile benefactor.
In the meantime, he registered his new Macca in the device and considered whether or not he could get a new demonic ally from the app when...a sound in the distance alerted him to a nearby horror! An explosion, the sound of rushing wind, the dull slam of a body against rubble! It was back in the direction from which Genji and Minori had come! Without thinking he began to rush back that way towards the Textile Shop, winding down the alley. If he was lucky...maybe, maybe...he could save them.Quote: 20 Tokens

Youmu KonpakuYoumu was having fun twirling around with her new crimson cape..that she barely noticed the the other demons approaching. A powerful one loomed over...and she looked up.
"Oh.." she sounded quietly, before hoisting her blade, and the red cape like her demon used.
"By my sword and Capote..! I swear, I will be victorious, once again!" the girl called in a voice mimicking the demon that gifted it to her. The demon shuddered at this...First making her think she had struck a nerve...Before feeling the presence of another demon behind her. She turned, and saw another brilliant, beautiful figure...Floating with a smile.
"A..Ah..!" she called, bracing herself..before the beautiful woman sent out a flurry of flames, encompassing her foe. The girl's eyes widened, and she beamed as she leapt up, glomping onto the woman.
"Thank you...Miss..umm..""I am Amaterasu.""A..Amaterasu..!" she called in awe...before holding out her phone. The woman smiled, before dissappearing into her app..Another companion for her to summon. Minori Koroko  Feeling him close was enough to soothe her, the tension melting away from her, if only just for a moment. Her arms wrapped around him in return, just enjoying the little moments while she could. She looked up at him and managed a little smile, memorizing his features...his soft eyes, his pale skin, his brows, cheekbones. She didn't want to let go...she was afraid, afraid that they would die soon. He told her about Soji, and the blond frowned. "Yeah...We can't leave everything to him. We have to help him, Genji...We have to-"
She couldn't finish her words though, feeling him tensing against her, his gaze shifting to some place behind her. "What is wr-!?" He pushed her away just in time to avoid the icy beam. Minori flinched in reaction to the blast, but managed to get back to her feet, seeing only a fleeting blur of a terrifying figure moving away. And in his wake...Genji left in a bloody heap against the ruins of the Tatsumi Textiles. "No! Genji!" She took a step in his direction, only to be attacked by a demon aligned with the Trickster God. She didn't have time for this! Genji was... he was...!
"Earthys, please!" She pushed away the demon with her excuse for a weapon, before her own demon attacked, distracting him for the time being. Minori nodded at it in thanks, but...she knew it was probably the last time she would see him. "I am sorry... "
She flipped her phone and summoned High Pixie, asking her to mend Genji's wounds, the blond girl kneeling beside him, cradling his head on her knees. Her fingers brushed the hair from his eyes tenderly, all the time hoping, begging. "Don't you do that again, Genji... you hear me? Don't... don't die."
