Bailey didn't honestly care much for star viewing. While he was certainly the creative type and liked to be inspired for his art, for some reason the stars and sky never seemed to inspire him much. He reluctantly did his work because Lori seemed to be super into it. He eventually found a constellation he liked and searched for information on it.

Delphinus actually has two origin stories and it's hard to tell which one is the first. I personally like them both, so I'll share them both. In the first tale the God Poseidon wished to marry a beautiful neried, but she was not interested in him and therefore when into hiding. The God sent several searches for the neried and Delphinus happened to stumble upon her and convince her marry the God, who then awarded Delphinus with a constellation in the sky. In the second story a wealthy Poet Arion has amassed a fortune that caused his sailing crew to turn against him. He was granted one final wish, to sing a dirge. During his song he flung himself overboard, but was saved by a dolphin who enjoyed his music. The dolphin then carried him to shore.

There. Now that was done and over with.

Stars are just, so, soooo pretty! For a moment Magnolia almost forgot about the report she was supposed to be writing! Jeeze Maggie, pay attention! She set about picking one she liked, then tried to find out what she could about the constellation.

The constellation Draco is a dragon! It's origins could relate back to several mythological dragons in ancient tales. One dragon was called Ladon and protected the golden apples of Hesperides. However, Ladon was killed by Hercules because he was tasked with stealing the golden apples! Another was called Draco and killed by the goddess Minerva and tossed into the sky upon his defeat. The dragon was one of the Gigantes, who battled the Olympic gods for ten years! It's really quite fascinating.

Magnolia was quite happy to have found the adorable constellation!

There were so many cool constellation in the sky! How was he supposed to just pick one of them to write about? This seemed an impossible task and Gael found may he thought simply looked cool. In the end her wrote down the ones he likes the most and then blindly pointed his finger at one, Hydra it was!

Hydra is a constellation that depicts a mythological creature! The shape of Hydra resembles a twisting snake, and features as such in some Greek myths. One myth associates it with a water snake that a crow served Apollo in a cup when it was sent to fetch water; Apollo saw through the fraud, and angrily cast the crow, cup, and snake, into the sky. It is also associated with the monster Hydra, with its many heads, killed by Hercules, represented in another constellation. According to legend, if one of the hydra's heads was cut off, two more would grow in its place. However, Hercules burned out the roots of the heads he severed to prevent them from growing again, and thus overcame the hydra. What an interesting legend! Hercules sure seems like a cool guy!

He was quite please with his report by the time her turn it in.

Make up a planet? That seemed like it was going to be rather challenging actually. Kimi liked to think of herself as creative, but honestly this might just be over doing it. She had to tackle this assignment though, she could only hope that things worked out for the best!

My planet is rather small compared to the other that orbit around the same sun, but it does have two moons that orbits around it's surface. One is around half the size of the planet, while the other is much smaller in size. They cause a longer night than average to cast shadows over the world. But the sunset tends to be rather lovely despite it all. There are many different elements in the sky that causes the color of the sky to be a shade of pink rather than blue.

Despite all this life has somehow adapted on the planet, with enough oxygen created by an abundance of plants covering most of the world's surface. Most of the water comes from springs that bubbles up from under the earth and many of the creatures are on the simpler side of things. They all tend to form large family groups and some have no hair, some have short, and some are like wooly beasts living in the more extreme environments.

They gravity must be strong on the planet, for many of the plants and animals are smaller in size than those we are accustomed to. It is indeed a small and adorable world.

Kimi could only pray that it all made sense when she turned her project in to the teacher.

Making up a planet? That seemed like just the perfect thing to entertain himself honestly. It was a test for his creative side, and boy did he love using that. Telling stories was his thing, and making up a planet seemed like lots of fun. He could maybe use it for a book later!

As you approach the planet you must fist be drawn to the six moons that travel around it's surface. Speaking of the surface, you seem to barely notice any land from a distance, all you can see is blue and dark green shades of water. There are occasional spots of land, islands dotted closely together just barely reaching out of the depths of the salty oceans that control the world. Tides are constantly changing due to the conflicting pulls of so many moons. Weather seems to be almost unpredictable, although mostly wet and dark.

There are only a few spotted hours of daylight on the world, but when there is sunlight the plants and creatures on land come to life, doing what they can with limited day light. It seemed to be quite the cooperative community. Meanwhile in the seas it's a fight for what you can get world, although homes are build under water, cities even where law is established. Cities can at times be overrun by monstrous sea creatures the same size, or even large than the cities. Oh, and there is always a bigger fish. Deeper into the oceans there are many bioluminescent fish and even the people who live there have no real idea of just how far the ocean stretch. Those who have sought the adventure have never returned.

He might have gotten a little too sci-fi in the end, but oh well. It was certainly fun!

Oh my this was quite the challenging homework assignment for class, she wasn't exactly the most creative person in the world and she had a feeling whatever she came up with was going to feel like a copy of something that already existed....

The planet I have discovered has recently gone through some major changes, as all planets do at some course in their long lives. There is a large disc of asteroids that circles the planet now, although it still has a very solid surface and 3 moons circling it's globe. The world used to be covered in lavish rain forests and large seas, tides were always changign in currents in the oceans could be rough. Meaning there weren't many ways for the creatures on the plant to leave their individual land masses. Evolution was at a standstill on this planet. And then, an unexpected change occurred. A bundle of larger asteroids somehow escaped their ring around the plant, crashing into the world and scattering so much dust into the atmosphere as to suffocate many of the creatures living on land.

The world is gloomy now and raging with storms. Many of the creatures on land did not survive and those that have are very sturdy and will likely go on to create all new creatures for the lands. Ocean currents are changing and whole new land masses are forming. It is quite the interesting spectacle to witness, although it is a slow change. It's like a whole new planet from what it was before!

She hopes that was good enough to satisfy her teacher at least...

Foras didn't usually care for Science class all that much. He preferred being able to be more creative in his LA or Art classes. Which meant her didn't really pay too much attention when the teacher spoke. However, she was talking about experimenting with potentially volatile chemical reactions! That could actually be pretty neat! He did have to lean on his partner a lot for what to do, but in the end the managed to finish six labs! He was pretty happy with that honestly.

Science is a pretty cool subject, the only problem Patches tended to have with it was all the lecturing. Sometimes it felt like all that ever happen in science was talking this, and talking that. Oh, and occasionally they would work on labs where they had to practice what they paid attention to during those lectures...if they paid attention. oh god what didn't she pay more attention!

At least she had a good lab partner. She just did what she was told to do and somehow they managed to get through seven labs! They were actually pretty cool!

User Image After donning the proper safety gear and making sure to check up on her safety precautions, Harley dove right into the work at hand. She enjoying making small talk with her partner and before she knew it, they had finished up ten whole labs when class was over. The hybrid was pretty happy with herself for being able to manage that.

User ImageIt was so relaxing, just looking at the stars, it was hard to pick just one to talk about for her paper. She decided to do Orion, who seemed to have a neat story.

Orion is my constellation and he was one of the greatest hunters. He and his dogs hunt the celestial animals, such as rabbits to bulls, but he had terrible time with love and pretty much was unfortunate. He really loved a girl named Merope, who was one of several sisters, but she didn’t pay him any mind. She was also the daughter of Oenopion, but he turned him down as well when he asked for her hand. So he put his mind back to hunting, but he wouldn’t have any luck there either. He ended up stepping on a scorpion and dying. The gods felt so bad for his misfortune, they made him a constellation near his dogs (Canis Major and Canis Minor) and his prey (Lepus and Taurus), but far away from the scorpion (Scorpio) so he wouldn’t get hurt again by it. The brightest stars in his constellation ended up being his belt and the sword that hung from it, so all would know that he was one of the mightiest hunters.

With that, Bray turned in her paper and headed back to her desk.

User ImageCentaurus is a Centaur, a half horse, half person being, but more specifically, this centaur is Chiron. Chiron is the son of Cronus, the leader of the Titans, which made him look different from the other centaurs where he had more people feet instead of hooves on the front two legs. He was the foster son of Apollo and sometimes Artemis, which lead him to be a very knowledgeable in music, medicine, and hunting. He was married to a nymph and had three daughters to her. He was also known as a great teacher, teaching the lyre to Achilles and tutoring Ajax, Hercules and numerous other heroes.

One of his students lead to his demise though; this student was Hercules. During his labors, Chiron was hit with a poison arrow. Though a master of medicine, he tried numerous herbs and remedies and couldn’t heal himself. Through his suffering, he begged the gods to release him from his suffering, losing his immortality as they placed him into the sky as the constellation Centaurus.

It was a sad story, but it was like a lot of the stories that Piyato had found. He turned in his paper with a small frown.

Science wasn't something she was good at, and her partner wasn't really any better then she was. 4 wasn't the best, but it absolutely wasn't the worst! The hybrid leaned back in her chair once class was over, sighing in soft relief.

Welp, time for the next class.

She liked to shop, she preferred skipping class, and she had her head in the clouds. However, there was one thing for certain; she wasn't dumb. Lace was, in actuality, pretty clever. She didn't necessarily need to be listening intently to understand lectures, and often she could glance at material and just comprehend it. This would honestly shock most, but Lace was a smart lady, and she proved it within half an hour of class.

10. She had accomplished 10 labs, and without really the help of her lab partner. Proud, the mutated fallen beamed as she examined their work, wings fluttering gently.

Luckily, her partner was not as useless as she was and pulled their weight. By the time class was over, Chi was absolutely exhausted. Never again! She would never again slack on her studies! That was almost impossible!!

'Cyngus.

Cyngus is said to be a swan. There are a few stories behind the constellation. Some say the swan used to be a pet to a queen, some say the swan was Cionus, the son of Neptune, who was wrestled and smothered by Achilles. Neptune, in hopes to save his son, turned Cionus into a swan.

Another story says the swan is Orpheus, who was murdered by women controlled by Bacchus. When he died, he was placed beside Lyra in the stars so he could be beside his harp. Even another story says the swan is Jupiter, who deceived Leda.

The most popular story is the swan is Cygnus, turning into a swan after being struck with grief over the death of his friend.'

There. Nodding, they turned their paper in before slinking away.
