"Not what I meant."
He was hesitant to keep going and shut his eyes.
"Nevermind. Get some sleep."

"Mm. Tell me when y'figure it out," she told him.
Despite all things, she did want to listen. She pulled up the covers and let him lie where he slept.

After a while, he pulled his arm back down, turned his back to her, and tried to get some sleep.
The USB, given before the first layer of clothes had come off (pretenses, right? had to have pretenses), held not just the photo she asked for, but a digital copy of all the ones chosen at the gallery, in a folder labeled The ******** Final Pics.

morning
Chel left in the morning. Not an early riser, but paranoia could make anyone leave early. She sat up and did the morning yawn, preparing to look for her clothes so she could make her quick escape.
As she did so, her eyes fell upon the sleeping figure of Jack. It was hard not to, he was ******** huge. She thought about what he'd asked of her the night before; if she was like this with everyone. How did you NOT be like this?
If Chel was allowed to be honest, she would say she was tired of being like this. Sometimes she imagined sleeping in and what that must have been like. To not immediately check the spread of pillows to see if someone was there or not. To not immediately check her body to make sure nobody had done anything to it that she didn't ask for.
To not immediately come up with a plan to leave the moment she entered someone's room. Doorways were just another exit plan at this point.
She did something she hadn't done before; she leaned over and kissed his exposed shoulder very lightly before getting up to put her clothes on. She wasn't sure why; if asked later she'd nonchalantly say it was a thank you for the USB and a good lay. Honestly, she didn't know why she'd done it though.
She stole a bag of chips on her way out.
