There is currently a thread on LI that deals with a death of a Gaian. However, due to my natural skeptical nature, I decided to investigate to see if this was indeed true (remember I did this with Sipid's case as well). Here is my findings:

First, the original poster's name is Mimiru_13. The person who died is akiria_wolf_pup. Located on akiria's profile is the following text: " go to http://www.freewebs.com/mimiru_13/" Notice the Mimiru_13 name in the URL. When followed, it takes you to a website about a wolfpack club. On that site is this:

"This site is hosted by Mimiru_13, a member of Gaiaonline.com's Silver Ice Wolf Pack. We are glad to see you have come here. I have one thing to say: IF YOU LOVE WOLVES, PLEASE JOIN OUR PACK!!! I am the alpha female, Akiria, and I don't have a mate yet icon_smile.gif. I have JUST made this site, so it is still under construction, but enjoy!!! There is a chatroom on page 3, but don't post on there unless you are a member of the pack!!!!! Email me if you wanna join!!! Thank you!!!"

Take note of the "hosted by Mimiru_13" and the "I am the alpha female, Akiria." This to me signifies that Akiria made the webpage, though I find it odd that she would be using Mimiru's account when the server is free.

Furthermore, on the "Wolfpack so far" page, there is the following: "Our pack so far is a loving, playful den, with pups, alphas and betas, warriors, and pup sitters, living in peace. I would like to thank everyone that has made this possible!!! Including, all of the members and a very special girl, her username on gaiaonline.com is akiria_wolf_pup."

This bit seems to contradict the first page, as it implies that someone else besides Akiria made the website, though she might just be plugging her name a bit.

Another interesting note is the post count of Akiria. She only had 16 posts, but yet had talked to tons of people. Slightly odd if you ask me. Futhermore, Mimiru had Akiria's login and password, which also is slightly suspecious (I never give out mine).

Finally, the mere plausibility of her death is suspecious. Mimiru claims that she was killed by a hitchhiker that shot her in the back of the head and then threw her body out and stole the car, all while the mom was stopped at a gas station for a soda run. First of all, how common is it for a single woman and 14 year old girl to pick up a hitchhiker? Not very. Secondly, how can a man shoot a girl (who is then dead), reach around, and throw her out the window, then switch seats and drive off in a car? Only an idiot would leave the keys in the car while going for a soda run. Only a person without a brain would also leave her 14 year old daughter and a strager in the car (with the keys). Just doesn't make sense.

So, in conclusion, I have reasonable cause to call this thread bullshit.


EDIT: Mimiru also claims that Akiria's real name was Angie Larson, and she died on March 8th, 2005. Doing a google search, no news items were found. You'd think that something as horrific as this would have been picked up by the local news media. Food for thought.

EDIT 2: Chalda pointed out he threw her out of the window, not door. Even harder to do.
