Defensive was the smart choice, it was mostly a way to test exactly how ready she was. People were all too eager to learn how to hurt others, and others thought Eiseijutsu was limited to just healing. Its defensive techniques were the crutches a medic needed to stand on when starting out. Senju isn't a very common bloodline in this village, but I've practiced in Konoha a few times to get a good idea. There should be a scroll somewhere around to give her. He thought to himself, getting up from his seat and gesturing with his hand for the Genin to follow. There was a door on the right side of the room with a simple red cross on the front of it, giving an idea to what sort of room waited behind it. Jack never was really intricate in his design choices when it came to anything that wasn't illusions.
The eiseijutsu training room and the rest of the building were night and day compared to one another. The walls, floor and ceiling were pure white, which various textbooks and stacks of paper lining just about every desk. Tenketsu, chakra, neurological, pediatric, different books on theory from a multitude of others who studied the medical field. Hung up on the far wall opposite of the entrance was a framed photo of a younger, less disheveled looking Fenrir standing beside a man with green hair and red eyes, a woman with hair and eyes both a chocolate brown, and a somewhat dark-skinned man who looked somewhat like a shaman. A team photo. There were test dummies shoved into a corner in the room with one laying on a medical table, multiple dots all over its body that pinpointed where each tenketsu was in the average shinobi. A crash cart in another corner, and a lockbox on the main desk.
"Well for starters, my name is Fenrir Thanatos, a Jounin with the village. I don't count as your official team Sensei, but I'm the one who monitors your growth and gives access to each level of scrolls here. As a new Genin I can give you up to B rank scrolls to learn from. Since you told me your chakra control is a strong suit, I'll be sure to pick a couple for you from the highest rank. Still, you should fill your arsenal with less costly moves. The flashy stuff is nice, but it'll leave you tired fast no matter how much chakra you think you have." He explained, keeping the door open for her to walk through before closing it behind them. Once they were both inside he'd walk right over to the lockbox and peel off the fuuin seal which would be completely invisible until he made contact with it. With an audible *pop* that was strange for a metal box, it opened up to reveal a multitude of scrolls within.
Picking up a pen and paper, he began writing down notes for her on the best possible defense techniques she could use at her level.
Suji dageki [ Muscle Shock ] Rank: E --------- Practice this move, retrain it up to the highest rank you can whenever you have the chance. It starts off simple, but this can end up your most commonly used technique, do not use it sparingly. If someone gets close to you while doing your job, make them pay for it dearly.
Okashii Gasu [ Laughing Gas ] Rank: D ------------- Best used in a place without much air movement, like a hallway, or performed following Suji dageki to further immobilize your opponent. Don't forget to hold your breath until you're out of range yourself.
Runge Suibou [ Lung Collapse ] Rank: D -------------- This can also be followed up after Suji Dageki, but if you're looking for a lethal result, pairing this up with Okashii Gasu is enough to render an opponent unconscious or worse. There are times where we can't afford mercy in order to continue protecting those we care about, remember that.
Eiseijutsu: Shunshin no Jutsu [ Medical Release: Instant Movement Technique ] Rank: D ------------ Whether you're rushing to heal an injured ally or backing off from an opponent while healing yourself, this should be a go-to ability for you. The speed will probably make you dizzy if you're not prepared for it, so train well with this technique.
Teikouryoku [ Power of Resistance ] Rank: E ---------- The last defensive technique I can show at your current level. Simply use this whenever you're tending to a diseased patient or entering an unclean environment. It gets more potent the more you train with it, up to the point where poisons shouldn't be able to effect you. For now just train it up to B-rank and you'll be quite resilient.
Chiyute No Jutsu: Karui [ Healing Hands Technique: Minor ] Rank: C ---------- Now we'll test that chakra control of yours with some basic healing. This is a technique every medic needs to learn when starting out, and I have faith that a promising Senju medic can learn both this and it's more potent version this early. Whether you want to focus on more ranged healing is up to you, but I recommend Chiyute heavily.

Chakra no Mesu [ Chakra Scalpel ] Rank: B ------- You may have noticed by my choices up to this point, but as a medical Shinobi you'll be finding yourself at close range more than you like. If the enemy is smart, they'll try and get to you first. It's the job of the frontline sqauds to defend you, but in case they fail you need to be able to defend yourself. If you want to dedicate this technique to healing chakra systems that's fine, but I can teach you how to be a threat if you want to defend yourself with this. Spending time with this technique and training it a bit more than needed can let you control how large the scalpel is to some extent.
Rentogen [ X-Ray ] Rank: C --------- Range, heat damage and forcing illness on the opponent. You should try and hit an enemy on the field at least once with this, making an opponent sick is a huge advantage. The more you train it, the larger it gets.
Shindan [ Diagnosis ] Rank: E --------- Before you learn any further medical techniques focusing on healing an ally, you need to be aware of what the problem is. It's vital.
With that, he handed her both the paper and scrolls with a smile. "You don't need to limit yourself to what I think you should learn, but I advise you consider it. Unfortunately as medical shinobi we don't have too many defensive techniques since we're already protected so much, but I hope you can appreciate what I picked out for you. She seemed to be have managed to not pester the man too much as he motioned for her to follow him towards what she guessed was their training. Akoto nodded and walked alongside the man until they stumbled across a large door decorated with a red cross on it. It certainly did give the appearance of wealth of illustrious power. It wouldn't be out of the question concerning the current status of the kages both previous and current. She continued to watch as a quick flick of the wrist from the man who greeted her was enough to open the door to the room where they would be training at. The two stepped in as Akoto quietly gazed around.
The eiseijutsu training room looked as clean and well kept as any hospital could be. It was actually pretty nice with all of the equipment inside. If it was this good inside this room, how good were the other rooms? The man spoke and introduced himself as Fenrir and explained his duty to her. While not being in charge of her likes squad leader, he was still in charge of her training and growth of a shinobi of Kirigakure. "It's nice to meet you, Fenrir. Ah-I'm Akoto." She gave a weak smile and watched as he laid out of selection of scrolls for her long with a few notes from each. He even sweetened the deal by offering to teach her one of his own jutsus if she could prove she was capable of controlling herself. Eager to please, she walked forward and observed the choices that lied before her before selecting her first one.
Akoto picked the scroll containing the information for the Healing Hands technique and opened it along with the note for the technique and reading. It took several minutes to finish reading before she gathered up enough courage to try the jutsu. She brought her hands close to one another and concentrated her chakra around her hands. It took a couple of tries but on the fourth attempt, a small ball of healing chakra was formed as it took shape. It flicked between a constant and shifting state before she ended the technique.

Wanting to give the technique another shot, Akoto brought her hands together once more and concentrated chakra in them once more. The ball appeared and began to shift as her concentration was faltering. She strengthened her resolve and began to channel more of her chakra inside and used her hands to make small motions to morph the small growing orb into a perfect sphere. Feeling a little better about her experience with the jutsu, Akoto brought her hands together and released her channeling.
Akoto set the scroll down where she had found it and mulled back over her choices of techniques. Last in the line was one that was concsidered vital to all ninja with medical backgrounds. The genin opened the scroll and gave it a read. It was simplistic to perform than the previous jutsu for good reason, being one of the few lowest ranking jutsu in here. She extended her hands forward and concentrated chakra into her hands again but instead of forming a sphere she sent a pulse forward. It would be enough to detect any information bad that shouldn't be in the body.

The final jutsu she would practice for a while would be the other E Rank scroll lying near the middle of the table. This one would allow her to resist anything that was coming to make her sick or weak if it had not been able to find its way in her yet. She read the scroll and then concentrated her chakra around her entire body. A short while later, a faint shell was placed around her though it felt vulnerable. It would do for now. She recalled her chakra and looked back at Fenrir while she decided to take a breather.

With the Kage's permission he was allowed to enter the training grounds, though he will have an escort with him at all times, but it's really nothing to complain about. Finally, with hours of trainign it is time for some R&R. [Exit]
Shuichi continued his training regiment, practicing the techniques for as long as he desired. Finally, feeling he had learned the Katon technique previously learned, he would move on. He paused, remembering his father's stories of their families techniques. He once told about how their family were able to form steel from their own bodies. He sighed, wondering if such a thing was possible. Holding his hand outward, he examined the back of his own hand. How hard could such a feat be...I mean if it was a kekkei genkai, it was an inherited ability, right? With some small flicker of ambition, Shuichi closed his eyes, imagining his arm was metal. Slowly he began to manipulate his chakra into the limb, drawing the hammer from his back into a liquid state... Kou Soujuu [ Black Steel Manipulation ] [1/5]
Opening his eyes as the chakra in his body manipulated his cells in order to create a black steel substance he realized his potential. His index finder had turned black, coated in steel. " What the..." He said to himself... as he examined his finger. He would will the black steel formation upon his finger to coat another finger. The will of doing so would thin out the length the steel covered on his finger, causing it to cover the very end of each of his fingers. Surprised with this development, Shuichi would naturally begin to test what he could do with this steel. With the use of more chakra he began to focus on coating his entire hand in this black steel. With several moments more of makin the chakra developed steel grow it would coat his entire hand. Opening and closing his hand, be began to wonder the strength of the metal. Taking out a kunai he gently dragged it across his hand, feeling nothing. Taking a calculated risk, he thrust the weapon at the hand. It would spark and deflect painlessly from him, proving to be weaker than his metal. Kou Soujuu [ Black Steel Manipulation ] [3/5]
Now more excited than ever, Shusui would desire to turn as much of himself to metal as possible. Focusing himself, he concentrated on his entire body. Slowly the black would creep up his arm, forming on his shoulders and partially upon his chest. Now he desired to test its destructive abilities. Focusing on the edge of his hand, along the pinky and to the wrist, he imagined the metal becoming sharp, like a blade. With very little time wasted, an edge formed upon that part of his body. He approached a tree outside the dojo, feeling the weight of his body as he manipulated the steel. Holding up his hand above his head, he swung his hand like a sword, it cleaved through the base of the trunk with little effort on his own behalf. A grin forged itself on his face. Feeling the limits of his chakra for the time being he would push for one more transformation, his entire body. Focusing all the chakra he could muster for the time, he felt his body become enveloped in the black steel substance formed from his hammer.Something about this was intoxicating. To have this indestructible armor over his flesh. He only had to wonder while he looked himself over, if this was possible, how was his father so easily stricken down? It didn't matter. He was gone, his ghost all that remained in that forge. A final test of what he would be able to do with his steel manipulation, he would grasp the wooden shaft of the hammer, allowing the steel to rip from his armor and reform into his hammer once more. She took a small break as Fenrir moved the scrolls she had used away and continued by replacing them with a select few of the ninjutsu scrolls that they were to study next. They were blue and green in nature, presumably the doton and suiton scrolls in which she was to learn alongside her arsenal of senju and medical techniques. After he finished and gave the sign to continue, Akoto gladly complied.
She plucked the next eiseijutsu scroll up and learned of a move to incapacitate a victim along with a note describing to do so in case somebody ever came close enough to harm her. It was a simple technique, nothing much to it. She brought forth chakra from her system and concentrated it into her extended right index and middle finger. A sudden pulse of chakra was born into the world as it erupted from her fingertips.

Moving on, Akoto figured she could meet with Fenrir again and that he could help her retrain any of the jutsu that she would need to redo. She picked up another scroll containing a technique for laughing gas and a warning to use it in close proximity along with telling her not to breath it in. She made a hand seal before releasing a colored gas from her person. She covered her nose to prevent herself from breathing any of it in. Thankfully because of the wide open room, the gas dissipated quickly and she was left with a new trick up her sleeve.

Another scroll picked up and another fun technique to learn. This one would apply a great deal of inner damage to the opponent if they came within range of her. It worked somewhat more odd than she had thought it would. After a quick read, she concentrated her chakra into her hands once more but focus on extending the reach outward. She faced away from Fenrir, towards the wall, and let it flow outward until she was happy with the results.

Time for another B Rank justu. This one came with general notes about what it did and the actual notes within the scrolls explained even more. A blade that did nothing on the exterior but damaged the interior certainly was valuable. She decided to give it a shot under Fenrir's guidance. Concentrating her chakra towards her hands again and focusing it outwards and into the shape of a blade. Slowly at first, but she felt the tool complete in her hands and then observed it for a minute or two. Akoto felt accomplished at her rate of progression and continued on with training.

A valuable long range technique would benefit her greatly. This one was outlined as a move to spread an illness to anybody struck by this technique and she could use it from afar. She read through it as quick as a flash and then faced one of the dummies. She brought her elbows up, facing the dummy, before crossing them in an X shape and concentrating chakra towards her arms. She then unleashed a a small X that flew towards the dummy before soon faltering as it reached its maximum length. While it was short now there was a chance that this could go further with future trainings.

The final eiseijutsu scroll. She would be done with the specific style of ninjutsu or now. There would be time to mess about with them later. She had other jutsu to learn first. This one was a specific version of a technique known by most of the shinobi in the world. She flicked it open and studied it for a while before readying herself. She crouched down to her knees and then surged forward a couple of feet. The sudden movement caused her to stumbled as she stood back up and fall over. She lied on her side for a bit until the dizziness wore off and then picked herself up.

Time for one of the suiton techniques. Akoto picked one at random and it contained a shield technique that was said to be a good defense against ranged attacks. She concentrated chakra towards her hands before raising them above her. What followed was a barrier made of her suiton chakra. Once it had fully surrounded her she began to morph extensions of the shield out, creating tendrils and hands for fun.

Beginning on mokuton techniques, Akoto got to work on learning the most basic of ones. There were a few that her grandfather had shown her when she was very little. Fenrir picked up all of the remaining eiseijutsu and suiton scrolls and put them away. He came back with more colored in green, standing for mokuton. She opened the scroll and then put the information to use. All it took was a simple hand seal before multiple branches came off of her small frame. She watched them for a while before recalling them without a second thought.
Moving on, she continued on with her mokuton training. The genin set the previous scroll down and moved towards the next. After the initial reading, Akoto looked at a location a few feet from her current position before concentrating her chakra towards the spot in question. After a short while, a few extensions of wood made itself known in a circle around the area before they sharpened to spikes. If anyone was inside of that circle, they would find it quiet difficult to move.

Akoto picked up the next mokuton scroll and learned of the next technique of her clan. Or family. Whichever it was. This would allow the user to create clones like the nonton jutsu in a way. What interested her was that part about gaining the knowledge of what the clones had seen. She studied it for a while and wished that Fenrir could help her in some way. He wasn't a part of her bloodline and thus couldn't help as much as he was with the other jutsu

She clapped both hands together and concentrated her chakra in the shape of the chakra. Akoto held it in for several seconds before directing it to flow out of her arm. The wood of a senju was stretched out of her palm as it took on her form as a featureless dummy. After it was formed, it began to take on her features until a perfect little clone of the ninja was born. Pleased with herself, Akoto de-summoned the clone and moved on.

Doing good so far. Another defensive technique that her clan was known for. This one was a bit more personal than most, creating a shield of sorts that would protect herself moreso than others. It would be a pretty simple technique that could protect her against mostly anything below average. Nothing special or anything.

Tossing the scroll back on the table, Akoto began. She made the required hand seal and then concentrated her chakra into her hand and extended it outside of her body. Three medium sized boards erupted from her palm as she began to morph them into a personal shield in front of her. Within a few seconds she was covered by a large shield-like structure with her defenses.

Recalling the shield, Akoto moved on to the last D rank mokuton technique. She flipped open the scroll. It was another pretty standard technique for the ninjutsu. It allowed the user to summon underground roots to come up for whatever reason the user would desire. Pretty useful in times where she would need help from a few sources of wood.

Holding the scroll underneath her arm, Akoto pushed both hands together into a snake symbol while extending her chakra into the ground. After a few moments of peace, a few roots began to uproot themselves through the floor. Before they could cause any kind of damage to the training room, the genin recalled them back down.

Another scroll read. This one would allow her to summon five short roots from the ground. It was a pretty simple version of earlier techniques but required probably. The genin read it several more times before beginning.

She made a snake hand seal and channel chakra into the ground once more. The roots barely stuck their tips out of the ground no matter how hard she pushed. Frustrated, Akoto went back to learn more about what she had done wrong. Maybe it was just not enough chakra fed to them or some style she had messed up somewhere.

On the second try, Akoto gave a sudden surge of chakra into the ground as opposed to a steady channel. The roots uprooted suddenly, at a speed that would actually give her enough time to command them. They wiggled around for a bit until she recalled them back into the earth.

Time for another wall technique! As if there weren't enough of them in her arsenal already. She read the description and learned of a pretty quick wall building jutsu that was pretty strong for its rank. She continued on for several minutes before it was time to practice.

Another wall technique was fairly simple. She concentrated chakra in her body before channeling it into the ground and bring up the roots. They were pretty lackluster in terms of both strength and appearance. They weren't going to defend against anything of average strength. Best to try again.

Akoto gave the technique another try and put more chakra into the earth this time. The roots rose from the ground more quickly and looked presentable this time. They were large, sturdy and could defend her in a pinch if she was in dire need of it. Another technique learned.

Time for the more advanced techniques! She put the last scroll back in its place before picking up the next rank one. This one was one we saw her grandfather do multiple times back when he was showing her some of her family's techniques. It seemed pretty easy enough. After scrolling through it several times, Akoto decided to try it out.

She concentrated her chakra into her hand and pushed it forward like the scroll said to. Although she did what was told, the only noticeable development was having her hand become wooden. Akoto sighed and tried once more. This time she would need more effort.

The next try was much different. She extended her chakra outwards of her hand and watched as it morphed into a wooden tree whose branches snaked out in search of things to entangle. Once they had finished their stretch, Akoto recalled the jutsu and watched as her hand returned to normal.

The last of the average ranked techniques. This one would disguise her as natural wood in the environment of her choosing. Definitely a jutsu that would help. It seemed to be less of a transformation and more of a covering that would snek herself not known. Still useful regardless. Akoto continued to read before deciding to give it a shot.

She gathered her chakra and spread it around her, starting at her feet as going until the top of her head. The wood soon climbed up her feet and began to cover her until midway. It then crumbled as Akoto wondered where she had went wrong. A quick look at the scroll proved that she had not channeled nearly enough into the technique. An easy remedy to fix.

Akoto tried again. This time she channeled much more steady tan her previous attempt. The wood rose again and fully encased her as a block of wood her height stood in her place. She could see out of most of her casing and would be sure to use this when she needed to hide or get out of the way.
Now it was time for the harder jutsu. The first one was almost an upgrade over the smothering binding technique. This jutsu focused on harming or trapping the target outright instead of just ensnaring it. That meant it would be a pretty easy to learn right?

Akoto went forward and channeled chakra into both of her hands. The transformed into trees but slowly began to revert back to normal for some reason. She tried again but the same thing happened. Looks like this was going i be harder than she though. Back to the books!

As it turned out, just blindly rushing into a technique was a bad idea. She looked at the scroll and did her best to learn all of what she had to do to get this technique nailed down Several minutes later, she was all prepared on what she had to do.

Akoto concentrated her chakra into both arms as the beganthe transformation into large trees. She aimed it at the training dummy across the room and watched as the branches quickly grew and split off while going for the dummy. The poor inanimate object then was consumed by the many branches surrounding it. Once Akoto was happy with her torture of the dummy, she changed methods for the technique.

She recalled the jutsu and cast it again for good measure. Her arms lengthened into the trees and began to snake over towards their target. This time, Akoto formed sharp ends on the tips of the branches that pierce through the dummy several times as they coiled around the object it would be grusome but a worthwhile technique.

This next technique was a rather odd one for mokuton techniques. While not offensive or defensive in nature, it's main use was instead focused on providing shelter in the form of a house for the user and whoever they might be involved with. It certainly was not a technique that she would have guessed would be included in this, that's for sure. There was little else to do but train so she sat down and began to study.

Once she had studied the scroll several times or so, Akoto had enough confidence to give the technique a go. She brought both hands together and concentrated her chakra into flowing into the ground as the scroll instructed. Instead of the standard technique going into effect, a simple sprout came up much to Akoto's surprise. She ended the jutsu and thought back on how she would approach this technique. This was going to be more of a challenge than was planned.

She decided to try again. Akoto planted both palms onto the ground and forced chakra down into the roots underneath the surface. This attempt gave way into another wave of chakra into the ground. When she had finished, the air stirred while nothing seemed to happen. The genin looked down at the ground before giving a frustrated pout as things were not looking very good in her training.

Finally decided to go back and study the scroll again, Akoto took her time and reread passages that she had not memorized down to a point yet. She learned about the length and flow of the chakra that was needed. No need to expel a great force of it at once when a steady channel could do so without any hesitation. After a break to reread, Akoto was ready to try again.

Now it came time for the real deal. Akoto brought both hands together again and planted on the ground, channeling a steady amount of chakra into the ground as the house slowly began to rise from the ground in the form of roots assembling themselves into the shape of one. Before it got too far, Akoto cut it off to not further damage the training room here.

Moving on, the next mokuton technique returned to the clan's abilities to control the area around them in a fight. It would require a little bit of time to prepare to active but it could be deadly in the right circumstance. Akoto read through the scroll with great interest. To totally entrap somebody with little chance of escape without a good enough jutsu to get out? Sounds like a dream come true.

She closed the scroll and immediately got to work. The scroll includes instructions on how to prepare the technique in the way that Yamoto, the most famous of the Senju name, did for a well known battle. She first used her doton nature to rough up the earth some. Not enough to damage the foundation of the academy but enough to make a small area where the ground was disturbed.

Once the earth was ready, next came wetting it down. Suiton techniques were used to give everything a nice little bath. With the water wet and disturbed like this, using the technique would now be possible. Akoto grabbed a handful of wet earth and channeled some chakra into it before placing it back down and onto the ground.

After all was said and done, she stepped backwards a few steps before getting ready to activate the jutsu. Once she was ready, Akoto made a snake hand seal, activating the chakra she had placed within the soil a few feet before her. The dirt began to give way for a tree to quickly blossom into a full fledged tree. It was pretty interesting to watch the sproutling to grow up so fast instead of it taking years to reach that height and sturdiness.

As the tree reached its peak, the branches soon coiled around the training dummy that was unfortunate enough to be within reach. It was brought against the tree and slowly began to sink into the ground as Akoto watched with great curiousity. Once it had gone on for enough, she recalled the jutsu and celebrated another mokuton technique learned.

Another old technique that was probably used back during the times when tailed beasts were more common. This would would allow her to sap away at which beast would find themselves stacked by it while giving her some of their chakra in an untainted form. Very useful if she were to find herself in that sort of bind. But it's not like that would ever happen, right?

After reading the scroll a couple of times, it was time to begin. She faced the poor training dummy again and channeled chakra into the area around her. She remained focused for a while but nothing really seemed to happen from it. Akoto looked down at the ground while wondering where she was off at.

Trying again, the genin began to funnel chakra into the ground around her while using her chakra to paint a kanji on her palm. While something did come up this time, there weren't anything to be proud of. Two little stumps came up until the jutsu was ended early.

Going back to the scroll, Akoto quietly continued to train the best she could. She looked over the diagram again and the details. Nothing too serious that was forgetting. Maybe she just didn't believe hard enough? She made a frustrated face before decided to give it one last try.

Akoto brought both hands together and channel chakra into the ground once more. She believed in her abilities this time, focusing intently on the training dummy. Four wooden pillars rose from the ground wit a pretty cool looking face on them. She then slammed her palm onto the ground, sending four foo dogs rushed leaders the training dummy score she recalled them back into the ground.

Almost done with her bloodline jutsu. This next one was pretty interesting as it allowed to restrict the opponent's chakra flow so they wouldn't be able to use any jutsu unless it was stronger in nature! She wondered where should would be able to use this at in case the enemies got too close to her. Nothing said to stay away like binding your enemies to the ground.

She gave the jutsu a try, making a snake hand seal and focusing on the size of the stocks. Three large roots erupted from the earth, one going horizontal while the other two went vertical. Attached near the top of the vertical ones were the top part of the locking piece. It came down and seemed to almost splinter at the force of it. Maybe it was too big?

The second try wasn't much better to begin with. Once the jutsu started, Akoto's concentration broke and the pillars became warped and unsteady. She recalled the roots back into the ground before going back to the scrolls for a bit.

The problem seemed to lie in the fact that Akoto was not putting enough chakra forward for the technique to go through. As a result, the stocks were weakened and easy to break out of ic the opponent got the chance. She made a note to press more chakra into the activation and closed the scroll.

Finally, the technique seemed to go through without any problems. The pillars were sturdy and wide and the stocks themselves were perfectly made. She could probably hold anyone down that wanted to give her any trouble. That was assuming that she could pin them down first though. She recalled the jutsu after she was finished, pleased with herself.

Now it came time for the final mokuton technique she could learn this far. Unfortunately, it was going to be multiple ranks to learn which meant a longer time training. She opened the final mokuton scroll and began to read. It was longer than normal just because of the sheer number of ranks this technique had.

Starting small, Akoto plucked a stray leaf that had attached itself to her clothes before beginning to channel chakra into it. She stared intently at the leaf with little actually happening to it. Giving up, the genin went back for the scroll to see what she was doing wrong.

So there it was. In order to cause the growth, two seals would have to be made. She made a mental note of that and continued to check on everything she did just in case that it was wrong. Hopefully this wouldn't take as long as the rest of the jutsu she had learned.

She set the leaf down in front of her and made the two required hand seals while extending her chakra towards the leaf. Instantly, it began to grow and split off into more leaves until a good size bush was made. She ended the jutsu and moved onto the next rank.

The next step up was slightly larger vegetation according to the scroll. A flower would suffice for this as she quickly hurried out and fetched one from somewhere. Don't ask questions. Returning to the room, she placed it on the table and prepared herself.

She exerted her chakra onto the flower using the same method as before though the previous trainings had tired her out greatly. She focused on the flower but not much else happened. She stopped to take a breather for a while and return to it when her mind was ready.

Unfortunately for her, Akoto forced herself to focus harder after several minutes of resting. She focused back on the flower and used more chakra up trying to get it to blossom further. There was a single growth, showing some measure of success, but not much else.

Akoto concentrated harder on the flower, focusing on that little growth that seemed to be coming out of it. She made the hand seals once more while maintain her gaze onto the flower. It seemed to have moved some for whatever reason.

Akoto pushed a little bit more chakra into the flower than the previous rank. This time, it finally began to blossom fully as it grew and more flowers erupted from its body. She was getting somewhere finally, though there was more training to be had before she could call it quits.

The median tier would be more up her alley. This tier of jutsu called for medium sized vegetation to be used as a catalyst for the growth. Thankfully she knew just where to find some. Akoto rushed outside and towards some bushes she had passed on the way here. It was a bit difficult to let her take the scroll outside, but she had managed.

Facing the bush again, Akoto made the hand seal and quickly focused on the inner branches of the plant. We could see part of it visible through some holes that seemed to have been eaten through by bugs or whatever herbivores were present in this area.

Focusing on the stem of the bush, Akoto could see the rough exterior that it had. She began to exert her chakra into the ground and towards the bush. Slowly it snaked its way towards the plant until Akoto felt it connect and rush through the plant's roots.

The air stirred as Akoto continued to focus on it. The plant was harder to get into than the flower and leaf for sure. The genin strengthened her resolve and continued to push further into the bush. It seemed to now have a small growth coming out of it.

Suddenly, the bush began to accumulate multiple growths of wood on it, sprouting in every which way. It was growing rapidly and Akoto could barely stop it in time before it threatened to tear the plant out of its home with the added weight it had. She was proud of her ability as she moved on to the final version of this technique.

The final version would call for a medium sized tree, and thankfully, Akoto knew just where to find one. She scurried all the way out of the academy and towards the nearby park where one was waiting for her. Her grandfather and her had come here to play back when she was just a baby.

She faced the tree and prepared herself for the jutsu. Akoto then made the hand seals and looked at the tree until it was all she could focus on. The bark, the branches stemming from it. All was within her view and reach.

She began to slowly channel her chakra into the ground and towards the tree. The bark came into her view as she began to feel the strain on her from pushing herself too hard in such a short amount of time. Her vision became blurry but still she continued to focus.

The chakra was becoming faulty as she tried desperately to focus on the technique. She pushed the chakra as hard as she could, wanting to get this one last thing done before she rested. She could feel the roots of the tree having her chakra infect it and climb into its upper parts.

The tree then had a massive growth spurt as branches and segments grew seemingly from everywhere on its body. Akoto let out a sigh of relief as she watched it for a few seconds before recalling her chakra and slowly walking back to the academy. Hopefully they wouldn't mind the scroll anymore now that she had finished it.

After a ten minute rest, Akoto went right back into training with eiseijutsu. The scrolls did say that retraining was possible, and the effects would benefit her greatly. She plucked the Power of Resistance scroll from the table and reread it a couple of times to get the jutsu fresh in her mind. When she was ready, the genin clapped both hands together and concentrated her just around the shape of her body before expelling it outwards. What result was a faint glow present as the jutsu acted as a sort of makeshift shield of sorts to fight off any poisons.

Continuing to push her jutsu further, Akoto focused more of forcing her chakra around her and increased the amount that she was expelling out. The power of the shield increased slightly as more chakra was allowed to surround her. She was making good time and felt a little bit safer now that the shield was becoming harder to break.

She allowed a little bit more chakra through as the shield grew even more stronger. The faint glow was slowly becoming more noticeable, even at a genin's rank. She felt a bit burned out after using the amount of chakra required for building a makeshift house to fuel a regularly cheap jutsu. Regardless, she ended it before more could find its way through. She wasn't ready to let an enormous amount through just yet. Maybe after she hit Chuunin she would try again...

Moving on, Akoto picked the Muscle Shock scroll back up and studied it for a while. According to the effects of practicing more, it could keep the targets stunned better than its generic A-Rank version. Very tempting to go around and start shocking people, but that would probably land her in the mizukage's office with a punishment to be completed. She decided to stray away from live targets for now and opt to practice in the air. She extended her chakra towards her hands, letting out a little more than normal before letting it rip.

Continuing on, Akoto practiced again. She brought her right index and middle finger together and channeled her chakra towards the two fingers. This one would be a larger shock though not as powerful as the maximum rank version. She expelled it quickly as a visibly manifestation appeared on the fingers for a bit. It certainly did feel powerful by how much she was putting into this jutsu.

For the finale, Akoto would push as much as she could without straining herself. She brought both hands together and felt the chakra gather in her right hand. Enough to really leave a mark. One that was done, she thrust it out across from her while watching as the chakra coated hand almost buzzed with energy. If anything living was on the end of this thing, they were going to feel quite the pain.

This next technique would be pretty easier to train for. It was already pretty close to the maximum rank she could train without straining her body and was still important according to Fenrir. She focused the chakra concentration into her hands until another faint aura was present on them. Once there, she could see the maximum amount of range she could project using this technique. Six feet was nothing to laugh at.

But what good was six feet when twelve would be better? Akoto cranked up the chakra flow to allow more chakra through as the aura around both hands slowly increased. It was amazing to see how much power she could have with this thing on. It capped out at a yard and she turned it off before she could pump more out and hurt anyone else.

Time to practice some more chemical weaponry again. Akoto looked at the laughing gas scroll and was amazed at how large the area of effect could be if retrained to the fullest rank. It would do her good to do so, even if Fenrir never told her to. She could combo it with a few other techniques she knew too! She made a hand seal and held her breath as the obnoxious gas came pouring out of her palms once more. With the widened chakra gate, it would be more potent than normal and keep them laughing for a longer time.

Still holding her breath, she buried it into an arm of her dress while pouring even more chakra into the gas. It was now quite thick and had a bit of her chakra color present inside of it. She made a note to try and find a gas mask when she could so she wouldn't have to hold her breath for long periods of time. She halted the gas and watched as it dissipated before breathing normaly again.

After her long session of training, Akoto decided to take a much longer break and take a walk outside for a bit
Having learned his black steel manipulation technique, he felt saited in his skills of iron for the time being. Now he would head back to his forge, the tomb of his father.

Rin readjusts his headband as walks towards the entrance of the ninjutsu instruction room for genin." Now all I need is an instructor and I can begin my training finally." Rin thinks to himself as he scans the room looking for someone with the faintest resemblance to an instructor, his eyes pass over the various students but to no avail he comes up empty in the instructor department." Dame it." Rin whispers to himself as he makes his way to the front desk. " Hello excuse me Could someone help me, I'm here on Lord Mizukage orders to come train here." Rin announces hoping the instructor would reveal themselves so he could start his training. Rin makes a last minute adjustment to his headband and ties it extra tight around his forehead as he awaits instruction.

Fenrir observes the bright haired young genin make a spectacle out of himself first before offering to assist the eager learner." So talking to an empty desk was your best possibly solution to your problem, Now how may I assist you." Fenrir says as he approaches the boy with a puzzled look an his face and sits down in the chair stationed at the front desk.
" Well go on tell me what your interested in learning, you can't disappoint lord Mizukage so soon can you." He said with a smirk trying to test the new genin's mental strength. Fenrir crosses his arms and waits to see how the genin does with his little tests, that will determine if he will instruct him or not.

Rin was startled when a random voice answered him then annoyed by the sarcastic answer and demeanor of the man who was posing as an instructor. Rin stood unfazed as the man continued his onslaught of witty comments not giving a answer until he was sure the instructor was done talking." Sorry sir I meant no disrespect let me start over, I'm Rin Romoichi and I'm interested in training my suiton and fuuton ninjutsu." Rin says and bows his head apologetically.

Fenrir was taken back by the genin's resolve to swallow his pride and his smirk turned into a genuine smile. Fenrir gets out of the chair gives the boy a stern look before giving him a head nod which signaled for the boy to follow him. " So Rin is your name I guess it's only fair I tell you mine, you can call me Fenrir." He says to Rin as they approach the container with the suiton scrolls, Fenrir opens the container and retrieves three scrolls for the young genin to study." Here you go three suiton scrolls that contain E through D rank jutsus, I know you said you wanted to practice fuuton to but in my experience when your beginning stages of learning elemental ninjutsu it's better to start with one element at a time." He says to Rin as he thrusts the three scrolls into his arms. " Good luck and be sure to let me know if you need any more help." Are Fenrir's last words for Rin as he heads back to the front desk to relax.

Location: Ninjutsu Isle, First Floor, genin courtyard
Rin gives Fenrir a nod to show he heard and understood the orders he was given,he caught the scrolls Fenrir threw the scrolls into his arms with ease and gave him another head nod after Fenrir finished his instruction." Thank you sir." Rin said but Fenrir was already far enough away he probably didn't hear him. Rin took the scrolls to an empty table and began to read and study over them soaking in all the knowledge he could." Better to measure twice and cut once." Rins fathers words ring through his head as he finished the first scroll and he begins going over the second scroll.
After an hour of reading and rereading the suiton scrolls he finally feels confidant enough to try and learn these suiton jutsus. he rolls each of the scrolls up neatly before returning them to their rightful place. Rin decides to go outside to the courtyard to practice his jutsus it's more spacious and less people who could interfere with his training also there was a fountain which would help with the suiton ninjutsu.
Rin takes his position with his back to the fountain closes his eyes, puts his hands together and begins to build up his chakra." Alright this first techniques is easy just have to find the presence of water in the air." He thinks to himself as he digs deeper into his concentration. He feels his chakra rising and the air around him getting heavier and damper almost mist like. Rin makes a mental image of a waterfall just spouting water and he focuses on that as he pulls the moisture in the air closer together. Rin's concentration was broken when he hears a puddle of water splash at his feet." Like I thought to easy." he thinks to himself as he moves from right side of the fountain to the left this time he faces the fountain as he prepares for his next jutsu. Rin once again closes his eyes puts his hands together and begins to focus his chakra, he also make a mental image of himself down to the last detail and focus on that as hard as he can. Once he has the image of himself down and has enough chakra harnessed he brings the mental image of himself to the front of his mind. Rin begins the string of handseals necessary while focusing on his mental image.He completes the final seal and concentrates on his mental image of himself as hard as he can when an eruption of water springs from the fountain, when the water clears a perfect clone of himself appears in the middle of the fountain standing with it's arms crossed. " Dame I'm kinda Handsome." He thought to himself he commanded the clone to exit the fountain, he then commanded the water clone to walk ten paces in a straight line. Feeling satisfied with the clones ability to hold its form Rin order the clone to reenter the fountain, he releases the jutsu and with a small splash the clone disappears back into the fountain. Rin takes a seat on the edge of the fountain and catches his breath. he decides to take a little break before continuing his training.

Location: Ninjutsu Isle, First Floor, genin courtyard After a twenty-one minute break Rin hops to his feet eager to start his second round of intense ninjutsu training. He struts slowly around the fountain until he finds a spot with the most amount of shade, he closes his eyes and looks up towards the sky as he recounts the instructions written on the suiton ninjutsu scrolls he studied thoroughly." I've already mastered harnessing the moisture in the air with my chakra, so these next few jutsus will be child's play and then I can move on to round three and that will wrap up my training for the day." He thinks to himself as he cracks his knuckles and moves into his training stance.
Rin puts his hands together and forms a handseal and holds it, he closes his eyes once again and begins to harness his chakra. He can feel the moisture in the air getting thicker forming a light mist, he uses his excellent chakra control to bring the mist closer to him creating a semicircle of mist around him.Once the mist settles perfectly around him, Rin performs two more handsigns then sticks his arms straight out." Mizu Tate no Jutsu." He says calmly as a wall of water that reaches just above his head springs from his hands. He cracks a smile as the water shield forms spikes on the outer-wall." Not a bad defensive tactic now I just need some offensive jutsus." He thinks to himself as he releases the jutsu and walks back over to his shady training spot. Rin assumes his natural training stance, he closes his eyes puts his hands together and begins focusing his chakra. He's getting better at sensing and manipulating the moisture in the air, he forms another semicircle of mist around him and tries to make it as tight as possible. Rin uses his chakra to manipulate the moisture in the air surrounding him to form six full sized shuriken composed completely of water, with the water shuriken still floating around him Rin performs three handsigns in perfect succession and a split second later all of the six water shuriken fly straight toward the single pillar Rin was aiming at. Once each water shuriken connect with the pillar they all reverted back to water like the scroll instructed. Rin crosses his arms filled with satisfaction. Rin is forced to move to the east side of the fountain since it the only dry spot left in the genin courtyard, he stands facing the fountain and stares at his reflection a few moments." Alright last jutsu then I can take a break and let this place dry up a little." He thinks to himself as he starts to gaze at the surface of the water in the fountain. Rin focuses his chakra and manipulates the water in the fountain forcing it to take on a mirror like form.He turns his 12 degrees left and he gains a perfect view of everything directly behind him. He starts walking slowly around the fountain taking in all the wonderful sights, he does two laps around before releasing the jutsu." Rin finds an empty table and puts his head down, it won't take long for the sun to dry up all of his excess water he created and then he can finish his last round of training for the day.
