She had been watching everyone that stood behind her when the voice echoed around them. Her eyes closed knowing just who it was. The royal she could not stand. He was jaded and harsh. Normally, she would have just done well to ignore him but this time...
This time she couldn't.
Turning on her heel, Phact gazed back at Castor in the face of Caedus
"You may be a Royal but realize now Prince that you do not speak for all of us! Phact snapped out harsh stepping slightly forward making sure to send a look at Sabine that said stand down now. If anyone was taking Castor on verbally, it was her. "Everyone of us is making the choice on our own. He's providing the means." She snapped back. "Should this fail, the yes, there will be blood and death. Something everyone one of us has already faced or will face one day. So do not act the 'savior'. If we fail...then you know as much as all of us it will be those that have stayed here to pay the price!"
Phact was livid but she was holding back so much. "Which means trap or not. We step through, we do everything possible to make sure that even if we do not kill all....we leave with a means to do so later. So back down and see to it that you are ready to do your part..." She gazed down at his arm which clearly showed damage.
Not everyone could kill. She knew that. It was not ever solider who could. But most of all, Castor did not speak for them. He did not speak for her or those around her.

Sabine, Senshi of Tactics
Sabine gave Myrrha a small wave goodbye as she took her leave. She could not hold it against the other woman if she wanted to go check up on a friend. It was after all, the polite and kind thing to do. However, hearing Castor speak loudly, her hackles were suddenly raised. The only thing that kept her from darting between the Royal and Caedus was Phact's sudden look to stand down.
Oh, she would not go running blindly into the fray with a Royal - the young senshi knew that much - but if Phact thought that she wouldn't speak...
Moving quickly to support Phact, she stood by her friend's side shooting an apologetic look to Caedus. She also raised her voice.
"I understand completely the risks we face going into this, sir, I understood them the night Sir Caedus offered it to us. But you can't ask people to kill if they haven't the heart for it. To do so is beyond cruel!"
Green eyes found the blond who had addressed him, surprised to see her, he tilted his head allowing his dark hair to fall into his face. "I believe it may be. He hasn't said anything about that, but he is collecting the crystals." He answered as he drew closer to her. "Perhaps, if it's the case, we should find a larger group to join. I doubt it would be safe for us to go in alone...maybe finding a group would be good." He offered up as he stood by her side. He didn't like social gatherings, or people really, but he had to think what would be best for them both. His magic was no good for doing damage, his served to distract. So maybe a group with a variety of magics?
Pausing to glance about at those assembled, looking for a group they could join. Toying with his lip piercings, as was common when nervous or even thinking, he shook his head before pointing to a nice group. "Them perhaps?"

"The children should go back ho--" Before she could finish what was likely to have been a small, highly opinionated rant about children she heard someone call her name. It was a voice that had a ring of familiarity to it, but it was older.
Then someone was hugging her.
Corvus tensed, arms lifting to make room for the young woman that had wrapped arms around her middle. She looked concerned for a moment, glancing at Denebola as though looking for an explanation as to what was going on. Had she looked like she needed a hug? Was -- Wait. Purple hair. Golden eyes. Yellow hood.
"Hugbell?" The elder senshi relaxed, closing her eyes for a moment as she returned the hug. "You've gotten taller. I hope you're not still chatting with Negaverse officers."
Erebus cuddled Venice when he came back and looked around at all of the others gathering there. "It does sound bad for us. We really need to see about getting even loosely organized before we actually go." He said with a nod. He blinked at what his boyfriend called him and made a mental note to ask him about it later as he focused on him. "Of course I'll stay with you." He paused when the Ganymede Page basically told him no heroics and gave a half shrug and a small smile. "I can only promise that if you promise the same and the circumstances don't absolutely cal for it." That was the best he could give him for now.
When Castor showed himself, stepped forward and gave his speech Erebus gave a frown. While he could understand that they all could die, that the Negaverse would retaliate for this, that they might have to kill in order to save themselves and their teammates. But the way he said it and the way he announced that they could show no mercy rubbed him the wrong way. Wouldn't that make them just as bad as the Negaverse? Wouldn't that make them just as bad as what the Negaverse claimed they were?
He shook his head and looked back at Venice when he remembered something. "Weren't you supposed to be leaving or have been gone by now for New Years?" He certainly wasn't complaining he was here, he was just curious.

Havasu Falls, Squire of Saturn
Havasu eyed the other knight in the group. He could tell the guy was a Ganny knight like Venice but Hav didn't think they had ever really met before. He silently wondered if the Assassin's Creed cosplayer had been at the first meeting or not… He looked so familiar though. Being unable to place where he had seen the other knight was annoying the squire but still he listened since it seemed the pinkish knight knew his way around the negaverse. “Kool Aid,” he muttered quietly to himself, remembering how a knight bitched out the code a while back. Talking about drinking the punch or something, Hav didn't quite remember everything but it was clear to him that the fella standing with their group had a little more than passing knowledge of the enemy territory. Useful. was all he could think of. It didn't matter to the cowboy that the knight was once on the other side, only that he was willing to help now though he made a mental note to pick the ex-nega’s brain… After all, knowledge is power.
Hav mentally focused back on the task at hand and smiled as Sabine introduced the new senshi to some of their group. “Havasu Falls, Square of Pluto at your service ma’am.” He laid the bad western accent on while tipping his hat and tossing Sabine a wink. His broad grin faded though as Phact began to give out orders.
He didn't mind the being ordered around, although his contrary nature disagreed with any orders, what he didn't like was not staying by Phact’s side once they cross through the portal or whatever. With a frown he nodded in understanding but added, “on the condition you follow your own request and call for help if you need it.” He glanced at their group and added onto what Phact had suggested, “those who are a higher level pair with someone who isn't, magic to no magic kinda thing. Watch each other's back.”
He was about just chill and wait for the ‘magic show’ that would take them to the nega stronghold when some guy in wings stepped up and started to lecture everyone. Fed up with this s**t all the squire could do was roll his eyes at the warning from the great and powerful prince. Hav couldn't help but smile proudly as Phact stepped up and read the riot act to the winged blowhard. To make matters even better, Sabine stepped up as well and started to chew into the prince. He briefly wished for some popcorn before step in up and flanking Phact on the other side.
“Look man. I know you're trying to warn us, I get it I do. And I don't know about everyone else, but for the past few days I've weighed the options, looked at all the angels, did my best to figure out the repercussions.” He looked over at Phact, then glanced at the group behind him before facing the prince once more. “We are already at a standstill with the negaverse, if not at a disadvantage. This is our best option. Besides I'm not letting those I care about go in alone! I'm willing to fight. Are you?”
Mlinzi, not so brightGuardian Cat
Mlinzi sat quietly by Kastra’s feet, humming to himself. If anyone had been listening they might have recognized the theme song to NCIS. He wasn't paying any attention whatsoever to the giant meeting going on around him.
Atleast not till some guy with wings stepped up and started to talk really loudly. The savannah cat’s eyes got really big and completely forgetting his earlier instructions he bounded over to stand at the feet of the prince. “OH WOW! Look at those wings! Can you fly? Can I touch them? Could I fly if I had wings like that? What's it like to fly? Is it fun? Can you do tricks like flips and stuff? What are the clouds like? Do they taste like cotton candy? Are they sweet? Can you sleep on them? Is it cold up there when you fly? Why are you yelling? Are you mad? What made you mad?” His questions never seemed to end as one after another popped out while the huge guardian cat practically bounced around the prince.

sorryfor the cat… He is like a kid who ate an entire candy store >.<
((trying to do this, coding and all, on phone so pardon any errors))
Grus listened to Castor's speech with veiled concern. She'd considered the options. The real question was, had everyone else?
She squeezed the crystal through her gloves, looking around. She saw familiar faces, but none that she was particularly close with. She wished Polaris was there, though she wouldn't be near this place so close after her wedding. And Chaonis wouldn't be here; there's no way the Senshi of Danger would trust this guy, though the fighting part was something he'd be ok with.
She walked up and added her crystal to the pile, setting it down with a prayer. Then she returned to her spot, and pulled out her senshi phone. She scrolled down to Chaonis's number, and opened up a message.
After a minute of staring at the screen, she sighed, putting the phone away with a beep. It was no use, he had Navi. He had something to live for. He wouldn't want to risk it all on a hunch.
So she waited to see how much energy was gathered, and if it would be enough to do what needed to be done.

Soldier Virgo, Zodiac of Innocence
Virgo smiled at Bifrost. "They could be worse," she said.
At Castor's words, she suppressed the urge to roll her eyes. Oh, she knew how far Castor would go, alright--little Naiime was tucked in her bassinet at home with Virgo's mother--but his words weren't what caused her flutter of irritation. Nowhere in his speech had there been a group statement beyond the truth. Those who walked into Caedus's gate were going to a place they might never escape from, and they would be more than part of whatever escalation came. The white-dressed senshi who bitched up first made little sense; how Castor's dire warnings could translate to speaking for everyone else? He had brought up strong points--a reminder, a chance for last reflections before proceeding--and now they all intended to bite off their nose to spite their own face.
This was, after all, how it always went.
"If you aren't willing to kill, you shouldn't walk into their Rift," said Virgo to Sabine. "The stated goal is to kill Metallia, a living being. Your goal is murder and nothing more. If you haven't realized that, then perhaps you need to consider more angles."
Turning her head to the woman who addressed her, Sabine bowed her head slightly. "I have no illusions of what we go in there to do. People die in war, and this is a war. I am willing to kill, I know it is something I might have to do, to save my life or the life of others. But I speak only for myself - not everyone here. Others are less inclined to dirty their hands with blood than, I."
Shaking her head, she sighed. "Would I prefer not kill? Yes, but I know that one day I may be faced with the choice of my life or someone else's. But, that is not something I would demand of others."

Super Sailor Phact
When the woman appeared, Phact could feel the tension in the young senshi that stood beside her. There had been a reason Phact had warned Sabine to stand down. This was it. So, clearing her mind, Phact gazed from Castor to the new woman. A hand reached out to Sabine's shoulder.
"If you are only here to kill, you are already closer to most of them than you wish to admit." She stated it calmly and without any harsh tone but made it clear that after this, she had nothing more to say to them. "But for the sake of those that love you and you love, I hope you come back alive and well."
With that, she squeezed Sabine's shoulder, glanced back at Havasu who stood beside her and made her way back to their group.
"My apologizes." She said to her friends with a smile. "As we were saying. Pairs. A super or squire with a page or knight would be best. " her eyes drifted to Kastra. Phact worried about her more than the rest. She was loveling and kind. This would be hard for her...
Castor looked at the young opinionated senshi he didn't know as well as her companions. Virgo was given a wide birth however. His emotions warred within him. He did not want Virgo to go. She had- She had his daughter. His daughter had already lost one mother, and he in his eternal shame, would not forgive himself if he would stand by idle as another were to die and he would be in a position to prevent it.
"You speak with ignorance and naivety. What Virgo says is just as true as my own words." Cold blue eyes bore at Phact, and his wings shifted behind him. "I only said what is a truth among us. A truth that is not given a voice. I spoke only so you and others might think and consider the consequences of actions. Even if we succeed, there will be a retribution. Even if we return unscathed as so-called heroes? People will die because of what we do tonight. Even those who do not partake, innocents involved will die. I speak, because often enough, people do not consider the ones who love them, the ones they leave behind. People do not always consider who will mourn, who will carry the burden of failure and the guilt of survival."
His faced twisted to disgust. "You think you could avoid killing, or that this might be something to repeat itself? You are going into the heart of Chaos, on a mission with the sole purpose to KILL." There was no room for grey. There was in this instance just a black and white. "Being willing to do my part means being willing to do what is necessary. That means being willing to kill the ones I love, if only to save their starseeds from being consumed and turned into monsters. That is what you must be ready to do. That is a possibility. And I will do it without hesitation. I will do it, because otherwise, the suffering that they and the ones they love will be worse than if I did not kill them at all."
He closed his eyes for a moment. "Caedus knows exactly what he asked of us. He is one I trust knows why I speak in the way I do. My words are not for his benefit. I did not spend time to question him, to learn of his past and his motivations to think him ignorant. Nor, would I expect him to think I will blindly trust all he offers. "
Castor glared at them all.
"I speak so senshi like yourselves consider more than just your own lives and a single outcome. Which clearly, you have not. He asked us to be his revenge, his vengeance. He has been honest and upfront that being his reason for offering us this. We are going into the rift with the intention to KILL Metallia. To kill their leader. A leader who has followers so blind that they will die for her at a moment's notice. Followers who she could at any moment twist and force to become monsters that would never be human again. Do not lash out at me for speaking an unfortunate ugliness that is the nature of what we do. Do not yell at me for simply saying what you do not like to hear."
He moved away from them, having nothing else to say, only pausing to look at the cat. ".............. I am afraid this isn't really the time or place for me to provide you with answers. But afterwards-" He gave the cat a melancholy smile. "We will see."

"I can promise, no stunts and risks of life. No without need." he answered. Knowing the other would do the same would set him at ease. He didn't want to worry about Erebus doing something unexpected, dividing his attention would do them no good. He figured it best to let the other know the same thing applied to him - no unnecessary risk taking. If it helped them both than that was for the best.
Seeing where things were going, and that was not a good place, the page pulled away from Erebus, taking the coat with him. He shifted, drawing the coat tightly about himself for warmth. His dark eyes than turned to Sabine first, a hand reaching out to touch her shoulder lithely. "Do not mind it, let people speak - it's just words. Do not drop to such level to fight. We go to war...we must not be as we are now. We must be focused, not worked up." He spoke gently, slowly, hoping his message was easy to understand as he worried about his accent and butchered speech to the younger.
Finally his eyes turned to the two giving speeches, or whatever it was they were doing. Cetus had at some point come over and while the two had been talking had played personal translator for him. So know just what was said, thanks to the Chinese senshi of Kappa, Venice knew what had upset people and he knew what they'd said as well.
"Not Henry the fifth, no Crispin day speech." He said pointing first to the winged one who had spoken. The others speech was poor, at least when compared to something written by Shakespeare. "This is war, we know that. Death, fighting, blood - is known. None here are stupid or clueless. None here are children." War made sure of that, fighting saw to it that they would mature and while a child in body no longer in mind or spirit were they such. They knew what they were in for and they had come, they had accepted the risks. For him to question it, as if some might back away, was an insult to those who were here and willing to risk it all. "Insult to peoples honor and intelligence." He stated while his dark eyes narrowed on the winged one, he was insulted and annoyed. "We go to fight, to maybe die and maybe kill, we should not be making for tense air between us all - not good for fighting together." He stated as if scolding someone, and perhaps he was. How could you go off to fight, to bleed and perhaps die at someones side, when there was such hostility in the air between you and them? How could one go off and fight when they were already so worked up...and not to go off and fight the enemy but to fight those on their own side?
"Speech of yours does not help. We have come to fight. Do not insult those willing to sacrifice it all. " Shaking his head he than turned his focus on the female who had appeared from somewhere and had decided to join the male in the not so helpful speech giving. Having had a translation of her words, thanks again to Cetus, he decided to address her as well as he found her words just as insulting, perhaps more.
"Not here to kill. Does not mean I don't belong here. Will see my friends safe and bring them home. That is my part and it is enough - just as important. Fighters must have support, back up." Those who might see something they didn't see, those who would get them out if they got in too deep. He would be that person. He had every right to be here. "Have every right to be here, willing to die if need be - do not dishonor me and my willingness."

Nirvana, Page of Pluto
Nirvana had been very quiet up until this point. He standing there, listening to the others make their game plans as well as turn in their crystals. He did, in fact, make the short trip to hand Caedus his crystal. He having taken the time to gather Kastra's from her as well. He gave the man a parting nod and smile. "Please be safe, and we will do our part to the best of our ability."
He moved back toward the group, he taking note of the rather loud-mouthed prince that dared take up a soap box in the middle of the meeting. There was one small blessing to being a knight, royals were the least of his worries.
He stopped before there group once more, turning his eyes back to the spectacle before him. The man had balls, it was unfortunate that most of what he said was not of the popular opinion. "He has gall to attempt to sway everyone as he does..." He thought out load, he hearing a few of those in his group speak up. It was a plus, at least they would not take his s**t laying down.
Kastra, Senshi of Meditation
Kastra blinked as Mel took his leave of her for the second time that night. She had been listening to the Prince's words, listening and taking in each and every of of them.
Her nerves were rising, her anger boiling for the words he dared to say. They should all kill? They were the invaders and they would seek blood? Was he saying that every last one of them was nothing more than a killer? No, she would not have that
She looked back on her conversation with Phact just the night before. She breathing deep as she remembered her words. "Not all of us are meant for battle, some of us are meant for other things." She spoke the words to herself, she tensing as she looked up, meeting Castor firmly with her eyes. She then stood, clenching her firsts as she shouted out of the group near her "It is not everyones place to kill! Just as there are those that are soldiers so too are there healers and medics!! We are the ones that fix the pain dealt by war, and you cannot speak for us!"
Her words were strong, far stronger than the small woman seemed to have in her, for even as she spoke the words, tears fell from her cheeks. She hated this, hated the fighting. "It is because we fight like this that Order is seen as weak!! We cannot keep the peace between ourselves! How are we going to hold it together in a battle to defend that which we hold dear!!?"

Sabine, Senshi of Tactics
She felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end, her stomach roiled and it was all she could do to not turn around once again and level a storm of words at the Royal Senshi. But Phact was guiding her back to the others, and she wasn't about to fight against her mentor. Not now. Not when things needed to be planned.
Did she believe Castor was wrong? Yes. This went beyond consequences. This was a question of ethics. Were they right to do this? Yes. This was a chance to strike a mighty blow against the Negaverse and potentially - hopefully - place them in a position to sue for peace. Sabine may not have any love for the Negaverse, but she didn't want people to die in vain.
Needless death was just that - needless.
Maybe she was naive, but she was 14, and thrown into a war where she knew she might one day have to make the choice that she was going to take a life to save another. That was more than most girls her age had to worry about on a daily basis. She knew what she was facing. Which was why now, she decided, to silence herself. She had said all that she had need to say.
Maybe she had seen a different side of Caedus than the royal had. She didn't know, and couldn't hazard a guess. But she hated to show Caedus just how fractured their side had become. Turning her head as she walked past, she gave the cloaked stranger a small, sad smile. She'd tried. She'd tried to defend him and stand by him. She would continue to, that much she knew.
Turning her attention slowly back to the others, she simply nodded as Phact spoke. "My magic can... make someone undetectable as long as they follow my directions. It doesn't last very long... But I need someone who's willing to trust me..."
Moving to Kastra as she spoke, Sabine gently placed a hand on the other woman's shoulder. "It's alright..." She said softly to the Senshi of Meditation. "Do what you are able, that is all we could ever ask of you." She knew that she had not seen eye-to-eye with Kastra when they had first met... But now she had a slightly better understand of her views, and in a way - they made a lot of sense.
"The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting, remember?"
He had been doing a good job of ignoring the fighting going on by keeping his focus on Venice and nodding when the other promised that he would try to stay safe as well. Then the other Knight pulled away to try to calm down Sabine so he gave the young girl a small smile and would have started to help the other Knight when he really started to pay attention to the fighting.
He frowned and stepped closer to Venice again to place a hand on his shoulder. He was half tempted to pull Venice away from the fighting and half tempted to just support him in his arguments seeing how he agreed completely with them. In the end with Castor adding on how he felt that they were all there only with the sole goal to kill his frown turned into a scowl. He had to bite his lip from adding his own two cents in with the others and that broke when Virgo chimed in again. "We are all prepared to kill if it means saving lives but don't you dare tell anyone they shouldn't join in going to the rift! Some aren't fighters, some are here as support, healing and defending, or as augments to the ones who are more inclined to attack so they are even stronger. You can not have an army of fighters in a war and have no healers, no one to defend the back. It's a quick way to get defeated or to loose more then what you would have with them."
He gave a sigh after he said his piece and shook his head. "Either way this infighting is not going to help us once we get in there." He said, agreeing wholeheartedly with Kastra.
