Flower made a beeline towards the Rise & Shine booth the moment she entered the market this morning. She was damn near addicted to these chicken eggs at this point! They were just so dang good! She cracked her egg with ease, expecting it to come out perfectly based on her experience but she was a bit over confident and lost a bit of the white in her over eagerness. Regardless she was delighted with the result, nothing like a fresh egg for breakfast and a couple tokens to boot!

Although he had already won from visiting one booth, he had completely forgotten to eaten. Sweet Poison sternly reminded him on needing to and he smiled at the thought of his companion. He looked around and, not his eyes, but his nose lead him to the booth in front of him. He walked up and gestured to the food. it took him a couple of times to get his point across, vow of silence and all, but he got his food (and tokens!) in the end.

26 December 14 to 30: your cracking was OK! Maybe bits of shell or lost white, but the yolk is intact. [2 tokens]
Oh noes. This little freeloader is back for more free foods. She licked her lips and by now got accustomed to where to stand and where to drop the little eggy.
The egg cracked but it was still not perfect. It sizzled and bubbled as it started to get cooked by the super hot rock. She wondered if her siblings knew about this free food stand since she has not run into any of them. Not even her own parents either.
When it was done cooking, she dragged the banana leaf off of the rock and carefully placed it on the ground before gobbling it up like a hungry hyena.

Defiant had eaten plenty of eggs in her life- she did live with the kin who had the chickens, after all- but she didn't have much experience actually preparing them. Still, though- she'd seen the trick done before. How hard could it be? Carefully, she dashed her egg against the stone- and to her utter delight, it cracked perfectly. Delicious!

Power paused, head in the air and slowly moved forward following the delicious scent of eggs and ooh! Ooh! That looked delicious, it really did. She listened, took her egg and leaf and carefully and confidently cracked, cooked, and devoured her treat.

If there was ever a way to lure Salty Sweet anywhere, food was it. She was following her nose through the booths, and when spotted kin trying to crack an egg over a hot stone, she was fascinated. It smelled delicious! And oh, the finesse it took! She was, alas, fairly clumsy -- but she was willing to give this a shot! Especially if it meant a taste of one of those delicious-smelling eggs~
Salty Sweet bounded up to the booth and grinned, "Oh, can I please try?" She gave a hopeful smile to those behind the booth, and when she'd gained approval, pranced closer to their set-up. She had seen the demonstration, but that didn't mean that she'd entirely grasped the concept. She placed the banana leaf as she'd seen, and was careful enough in picking up her egg. Unfortunately, she was perhaps a bit too forceful as she cracked the egg, and too large a split caused the egg to fall too soon from the shell. Out of surprise, she dropped the rest, and the entire mess landed almost on the edge of the banana leaf.
"Oh, dear!" The tan doe pouted at her attempt. She sullenly picked out the larger shards of shell despite the clearly botched attempt, and sighed as the smaller pieces she could not hope to save were claimed as the egg cooked. "Well, I clearly need more practice..."

After her hooves started working under her and her head stopped spinning from Gecho's frog kissing booth, and taking a little time to bury her current tokens to hide them better, I Walk in Dreams ventured forth to find herself a scrap of leather she could use to carry them in with her. After a bit of talking with a Kin eating a meal, she was able to get the furry, tattered scraps of leather remaining from the meal, and was quickly making her way back to where she left them before her stomach growled and she found herself stopped at a booth that seemed to have a game involving eggs.... Giving the protein rich nugget of flavor and nutrients away, served in a way she had never encountered before and much larger than the nests she often raided for food, having always eaten them by cracking them in her teeth and drinking the raw egg before spitting out the shell shards that didnt get chewed up and swallowed in the process. Watching with her typical seemingly grumpy, half asleep expression, I walk in dreams observed for a little while before stepping into line, her stomach growling -- she didn't care if the egg was full of shells, it simply meant a little more calcium in her diet. Setting down her scrap of bloody leather she had yet to have a chance to wash off, she took the egg carefully in her teeth, fighting all instinct to simply put the whole thing in her mouth and bite down to drink it in, and tapped it lightly on the rock before dropping it onto the hot banana leaves. The egg crushed slightly as it hit, and didnt split entirely, but for the most part it was clean, leaving only a few pieces of shell in the egg as it sizzled merrily on the fire, wafting up scents that made the more wild kin's stomach growl loudly. It wasn't until the banana leaf was removed from the hot stone and the two tokens were added that she realized that there was an additional prize, and that she got to keep the leaf as well! Quickly eating the egg, she laid the banana leaf into the cup-like scrap of leather and put the two tokens in, rushing off to get her other two before they were discovered.

Lunch break? Lunch break, thought Lily. And she knew just where to go, too. "Your wares are simply delightful," she told Best as she waited in line. When it was her turn, she remembered how she'd cracked the egg before - and it split perfectly, and it was quick work to remove the shells without getting them stuck in the cooking egg. Another perfectly-cracked egg! Lily was pleased with herself. "Would you do this for - for quail, perhaps?" She munched delicately on her egg as she waited for an answer. Ooh, was this leaf edible, too? Maxx D lmao i almost quoted 'my very best' crying ;;;;

Soothe had not really been exploring the market in a while, but she remembered this booth. She got in line nervously, and took an egg from their stash when it came to be her turn. "Thank you," she told the proprietors in a muffled mumble, as she smashed an egg onto - oh no! It'd gotten everywhere! Oh, it really hadn't, actually. There was just - um - just a bit of white on a couple of the nearest kin. The whole yolk was still intact, and it looked flavorful and delicious. "I can't imagine how you even thought of this," she admitted.

After hearing his father -and- his half-brother talk about this miraculous booth that gave you free food, Silence found himself watching these kin cook eggs on rocks.
On rocks! Of all things.
It was very peculiar, but he wasn't one to judge too much (lies,) but he would at least try it once, right? (Truth.) Leaning forward, he tried to keep in time with the example given, he took a moment before spinning a bit, going to snap the egg with his tail hook. It did a . . . good enough job, he mused, as he went to finish the job, watching the egg run a little further than usual.
But, his father and Dawn were right, these were appetizing!

One more booth, and it smelled delicious. Dogrot helpfully smashed an egg on the slate and watched, fascinated, while it sizzled. Dogrot had never eaten anything that was cooked before. Later, Dogrot could be spotted trying to duplicate the feat with lizard eggs, but of course, it was missing the essential heat source to actually succeed. Dogrot gobbled the whole egg up, bits of shell and all, and prowled away, satisfied.

Yowch! Her hoof slips somewhere on the banana leaf and cracks shells all through everything. One of 'em pierces the tender yellow middle, and it spills out into the white of the egg, frying hard that way. She winces, and peers around at everyone else before embarrassingly swallows it partially raw before anyone noticed how bad her mistake was. She smirks and makes an awful face before managing to back down. Hopefully next time she gets better rather than worse!

She watched carefully and then stepped up to crack her egg open. A few little shell bits... but she flicked them away to let it finish cooking. Tipping her head back, she went to savor her cooked egg of deliciousness.
