Rodney looked at the large and wild wood at the end of the embankment and the lights and felt as though he knew nothing.
He stumbled, and felt something sharp pierce his arm. He panicked immediately, tears streaming down his face.
I've got you, remember?Seven said. Just get it out. You're not hurt, see?
There was no blood. There was no pain.

"Did they feel pain?" he asked, holding his shoulder and staggering to his feet. He could smell blood, even though he wasn't bleeding, and something else, sweet and distant, like a gingerbread house.

The mushrooms and blades of grass grew small again, and Rodney could feel himself on the verge of a return.
There was a clearing, and as the path turned to stone, a hidden and dripping cave. Trees and moss twisted into the dark hole.
"Leslie?" Rodney asked, "Mikael?" Something glittered inside, just out of reach."Seven? I don't know if we...should."
Oh go on and take a look. I haven't let you down yet, have I?
Rodney crouched to step inside, where small glowing spots of light gave the grotto enough soft light to see. There, inexplicably, were stumps- the remains of very old trees, arranged in a circle. It was one of the that items that had caused the glittering. The grotto began to shake dangerously.
Rodney picked up the object carefully, a beautiful and deep red scarf, but in his hands it become a gauzy and sparkling silver. He had never felt anything so fine, as if it was woven from cobwebs instead of thread.
Rod, we gotta get while the getting's good, Seven warned.
"Alright," Rodney said gently. "Should I...?" He began to put it back, although it felt wrong somehow, as if by leaving it, he'd be leaving a piece of himself instead.
Take it! Seven barked, Say the words, and go!
Rodney held the scarf to his chest as the shaking and rattling around him intensified. "Deus ex Machina!"Quote: 4. Rodney pocketed the scarf that the organization had given him, and hung the new one from his neck, feeling the impossibly soft fabric against his skin. It was very pretty, and very warm, and stolen-
He froze.
Look, whoever owned it left a long time ago. That's what all this is. They set up places like this with traps and all so that they get to the ones their meant to. It's yours, it was always meant to be yours.
He spotted Leslie, at least, and thank God for that.
"I took something," Rodney confessed, still touching the scarf around his neck. "Where's Mikael?"

Mikael showed up, looking even more worried than previously, not sure he liked this place at all, and not really trusting Leslie or Rodney to keep him safe either.

Leslie cracked his neck, sighing. "I dunno, where is he?" Oh, there he was. "Oh, hey. You're around. I didn't get one yet, so I'm heading back i-"
A snarl from behind him stopped Leslie in his tracks, and he stared up to the heavens, sighing. Aleria appeared in his hand.
"Here we ******** go again."
