14Mushrooms While also relying on the morals of the guests and hosts, why not also add the possibility of the world ending if the traveller doesn't help fix whatever is wrong in their own realm? So taking the Superheros room in example, lets say a super villain has a power that could potentially destroy the entire world, and is planning to use it for evil. The traveller comes and the hosts and guests could help the traveller (thus saving this world from their apocalypse) or ignore the traveller which the realm will get destroyed (of course the traveler would find someway out along side the guests/hosts, etc) on the last day. Maybe this is too dark and more harder to control haha. And could someone explain how one traveller is able to be in 5ish rooms at one time because I can't wrap my head around it. Help my head hurts lmao. theyre not gonna be ^^ theyll be travelling through each room over the course of the ball

Or is it just how the room's plot is connected to the main story that wont start?

It's just how the main plot is connected to the rooms plot, its not that other things cant be happening in the room plot before or after the traveller comes through. I dont know if you watch CW's Flash but lately he's been running into other versions of earth, theyve all got their own problems and quirk to deal with but he's there for some of it, can possibly help and then leaves while their life also continues on. Inter dimension travel shouldnt be a really common thing in the plot, the people that have the ability dont normally do it cause they know the consequences of being in another dimension can ******** s**t up, which is why theyd mostly trying to get the traveler out of theirs.

Or is it just how the room's plot is connected to the main story that wont start? I'm not gonna lie my brain is proper ******** atm and it's hard to explain properly. Essentially they won't be in each room at the same time, they'll be in each room one after the other. The plots of the room can spin it to say that they've had a 'hooded figure' type running about doing things for a couple of days beforehand, but only reveal that it's the traveller (essentially have them reveal themselves to gain people's trust or w/e) when they 'appear' in their room - so essentially say that the rifts opened a couple of days ago in your room's time, and things have happened since then - or you can spin it so that you have them come in and get kicked out almost instantly, depending on how much you want to involve the main plot in your room. What you need to know at this point is that the character is going to be Machiavellian - everything is the means to an end, and that end is outrunning their pursuers. They will do anything and everything they can to find crystals so that they can get the ******** outta dodge, and if they land in a world that has none, their priority will shift to finding someone that can get them out of that dimension (e.g. Brokuto and Mae's room has a sea goddess called Tiamat, and because there are no crystals within reach - they are all too deep underwater for any air breather to reach - the traveller will most likely seek them out in the hopes the goddess will use her powers to send them on to the next world). Hopefully this helps, I have no idea how coherent I'm being atm.

Alright everyone here it is. If you all approve it, this will become the final; otherwise, there will be one round of feedback and alterations before it goes up. Final Plot - DraftThe conditions were perfect for the experiment. Every variable had been accounted for; every ritual, prepared. Quynn - self proclaimed royal scientist of the Viatori, presumably the people of his homeworld - had been practically humming with excitement. I’ll admit, the enthusiasm was contagious.
Raising my head as I finished gathering the required energy for my spells, my eyes were drawn to the graceful individual sweeping ethereally across the testing grounds, a living testament to my theories. This interdimensional interloper claimed to have done what had eluded me for many years now. They had come to me with outlandish promises of whole new worlds - universes even - and try as I might to remain incredulous, here we were, the experiment all but ready to begin.
It hadn’t taken long for the Viatori traveller to make waves in Gaia. Word spread quickly about the bronze-skinned stranger with eyes as black as void and a personality of equal gravitational pull, who claimed to have come from worlds unknown, trying to reach places unseen. They had charmed their way into many a social circle with exotic tales of their travels, and trinkets and baubles the likes of which would never be seen again in this world… all just to meet with me, a mage specialising in teleportation magic. Though they spoke of wanting to collaborate for the greater good of Gaia… even now, I couldn’t help but feel they were hiding something. I’d seen the look in their eyes, fleeting but real. Desperation.
The other mages in my field were wary of this newcomer, for indeed this was not the first time we had encountered strange and unknown entities claiming to herald from places unknown. Sadly as of yet, the claimants had been nothing more than snake oil merchants with tales of whimsy… but if true, this traveller could single-handedly alter the lives of Gaians everywhere. Needless to say, we were cautiously optimistic.
They requested little in return for sharing their knowledge. Merely some assistance in opening one of their so called ‘rifts’. Naturally I, and a few others, leapt at the chance to be the ones to help create history. Had we known what kind of history we were about to make however, perhaps we may not have been so eager.
Then again, perhaps we would have. The thirst for knowledge is its own kind of desperation.
We thought we had planned everything down to a meticulous degree... but there was one variable we had never accounted for. Ley lines. The magic channels crisscrossing the globe that modern spell-casting had all but ignored in the way one might consider a mountain relevant to marine biology.
We began our efforts to open a rift, unaware that our chosen location was at the nexus of multiple ley lines. We had not anticipated what followed. One rift turned into many, then multiplied twofold, and twofold again… All over the globe, rifts opened up along the ley lines in quick succession. Everything had gone terribly, terribly wrong. The rifts had grown too large in size and number to contain, and I could only watch in horror as Gaians were sucked into the rifts, perhaps never to be seen again. However I could only watch for so long before I too felt the pull of the void.
I remember the suffocating panic. I remember trying to run, clinging to whatever I could. I remember little else.--- I awoke… here. Wherever that is.
It is bittersweet, to see first hand the results of years of academic theories come to life, only to be sucked into another dimension where those theories mean nothing.
Only now am I beginning to fully piece together what has occurred, how many Gaians we may have lost to worlds I may never know.
I can only hope that their journey has been as safe as mine.
I can only hope that, wherever they are, they find their way back home.
I know not where the traveller is now, nor do I particularly care. For now, I must focus my efforts on returning home - if I can at all.
I suspect I must hurry, I am plagued by a deep sense of unease about this world…
