The urge to take a step back and use Jack himself as a shield was tempting, but he held his ground. "s**t is going down," he sneered, and you're gonna strangle me in front of ******** everyone, I --"

(Not that he entirely believed Rep wouldn't. Leslie was really ******** relieved that Rep was a ways off, and said not a ******** peep about having antidotes. He thought not at all of hands around his neck.)

Leslie's jaw clicked shut as soon as Rep started spitting useful information. Any further pitiful attempts at salvaging his pride would just have to wait. "Christ. <******** artifacts. I'll leave that b***h alone, whatever her ******** name is."

He listened, half-attentive, to the crazy guy's ramblings, which turned into Jack and Rep talking, which turned into a lot of ******** scary s**t. Leslie had a sinking suspicion they were not, in fact, cut out to handle this threat.

Again.

What else was new?

Dawson merely whimpered as Maebe clarified for him, giving a small, shameful shake of his head. He was a Moon, sure, but he was s**t as a combat medic and had only barely scraped into intermediate rank. Hell, he wasn't all that great in the infirmary anyway without the extra stress of the battlefield. Which this didn't have to be. Please. God, please. Rep's yell didn't help.

Breathe, he tried to tell himself, since Syn couldn't. But he still trembled like a frail leaf in the wind. "I-I'll carry him," he offered shakily, if only because it meant something to do. Even if it was Otto. He'd rather the guy wake up, though, because God help him if this really did turn into an outbreak...

Taking another deep breath, he scanned around as several more people shuffled in. Spying Creedence, he cupped his mouth and called, "'Eyo, DM Lady, over here!" She didn't look so hot either. Crap. But friends meant numbers and Dawson was a Good Friend and Good Friends had to stick together and deep, deep breaths now.

Rubbing a hand across her face, Creedence lifted her head at the familiar voice and obediently trotted toward Dawson, who seemed like he knew what he was doing. Along with a lot of other people who also looked like they knew what they were doing. It was with a humiliating sort of relief that she offered a wry sort of smile.

"Could anybody," and here she had to stop and just blink rapidly while her thoughts twisted in a haze, "...what's happening?"

That's because Milo hadn't been in his room at all. At least in that moment. Waking from a grand adventure through the eyes of another had caused a little bit of a restless night afterwards and staring at his basement walls didn't seemed to ebb his thoughts. So, he decided to zone out in the common room on the first floor (and use the facilitates there, because obviously the bathrooms in the basement were never going to be touched), it was much too early for a run anyways.

His mind had been in a sort of zen moment when the alarms started blaring about, startling him a little to an upright position. His green eyes glanced about confused, there were a few hunters running past him and it took a moment for his mind to focus. Alarms were bad. Yes.... yes, they were.

And there seemed to be a weird void going on in a particular area of his head space. Someone was unusually quiet, but that sort of quiet that was a soft buzz. Like it wasn't working. Aibou? He reached out as he pushed himself off the chair.

Nothing. Okay, maybe a little more bad.

Milo headed downstairs, back to the basement. Because there was a little certain someone he needed to collect. "Nooooeeeeemiiiiiii ~"

Normally more inclined to be polite and apologize for having possibly hurt someone, Abbi instead gave a pitiful noise and cast wide blue eyes up and up and up to finally find who it was that she'd hit.
And, because she was so happy she had found someone she knew to be reasonable and much more level headed than herself, she lunged at him. Cameron was lanky enough that Abbi could easily shoot her arms out and grab him in a hug. She squeezed him tightly once and jumped back, hands clenching under her chin.
"I'm totally freaking out." That wasn't an answer to his question, but she was at least staying still under his hand that was now on her head.

"So I'm guessing that yanno your weapon isn't talking to you and your phone is dead and I'm not hallucinating the siren?" All her words came out in a frenzied rush, the girl unable to stop herself from wiggling around, though she was careful not to dislodge the hand. That was strangely comforting, maybe because her head was where she ought to have a presence and there was none.
"Also wow I feel... I feel bad, the uh the room is kinda... Tryin' to tilt a little, how are you, are you ok, please be ok, cause I feel wow... Not so hot." She was also reverting back to shaking a little. All around she was looking paler, and much more fretful, than normal, not at all her usual peppy self.

Did that really just happen.

Maebe gritted her teeth, and tried to remind herself of her new mantra. It didn't matter. No matter how many times she told herself that she didn't care anymore, and Dawson could talk to anyone he wanted, she still made the sourest, brattiest, most unhappy face as soon as Creedence trudged over. Her only compensation was to note that the woman looked like death warmed over, and then she realized that was a terrible thing to think of anybody, and couldn't help but smile.

It turned out, she wasn't quite done being a b***h just yet.

"Everyone's got ebola, and we're all going to die." She told Creedance, shrugging her shoulders noncommittally. "It would have happened eventually."

Jack was lucky he could absorb that much information relatively quickly, because everything Rep explained could have collectively overwhelmed him. He had to carefully seat the information in a new folder alongside Merlin, Excalibur, what little he knew of the others. Opus, Opus...in relation to O? Circles. He didn't know. Knowledge, though, that was a new one; he'd half expected it to be more memories again.

"Looking for us?" he repeated, brows raised in some alarm. "********. <********> these artifacts, I swear..." Who even knew where Excalibur had gone? He then remembered that announcement about the antivirus in the mall and swore again, because now his vial was practically useless--at least, unless he felt extremely lucky. A particular scar seemed to itch just thinking about it.

"Suggestions. We try to cut through it?" he offered before remembering that, god damn it, they didn't have access to their weapons. "Runics? Where the hell are our leaders? I haven't seen an assistant either."

Noemi had even run to Tobias's door to knock the thing down but Tobias's door hadn't been touched, and the food she continous left there was still there.

She was on her way to running back when she was called out by Milo.

"THANK GOD!" She hustled over to him. "Can you hear your weapon? Can you talk to yours? I don't feel well, I am kind of worried? Have you seen Shu, What are the alarms for? Milo?!?!?"

So many questions....

"Gross Red, I don't need hugs from flatchested little girlssssss." Cameron hissed as she detached herself from him, squinting his eyes. "For a girl who has been on the island so long, you'd be use to the alarms yeah?" Or perhaps they didn't happen to much.

Which it was still no big deal.

"He never talks to me if you wanna be honest. He likes to coil around. But sure, it's been pretty quiet."

"Cool your jets red, HOLY s**t RED SERIOUSLY." Her moved his hand down to her forehead, feeling it and narrowing his eyes. "You sick? Why the ******** you up" And why did he ******** care? Ugh kids man. They should just stay in bed. Since she was small enough, Cam just picked her up like he would a puppy and then threw her over his shoulder.

"I'm dropping you off at infirm and then heading to where they calling us to meet."

The instant Noemi had closed the distance between them, his arms were around her and squishing her against him. "You're okay!" and in just as a relieved voice as her's.

"Koume is unusually silent, its so weird, ya." Milo told her, not giving an indication of letting her go despite his own uneasy stomach.

So many questions indeed. "Dunno, Noemi-chan ~ maybe the basement isn't the best place to find out." They were a few floors down from probably the best source of information. Maybe. He didn't know. But maybe he just kind of wanted to get back into the thick of it. "If we head up, maybe we can find Shu, ya?"

He was hugging her again, oh how he always did this and it got her all flustered up. She wasn't feeling well after all, her heart was pounding and-

"OH, Yes! I think, Yes! We should go upwards?" She wiggled out from his hold. She could remember Riona, and her knight Felix and their borrowed forms for the memories and....

"I'm sorry! Also...do..." She felt a little sick to the stomach, "do you feel okay?"

It was hard to remain asleep for long with the alarms and the screaming going on in the background like that. Shifting slowly to an upright position with Cain's help, Nellie frowned at how tired she felt. Was this normal given what they did?

< Niffy? >

There was only silence. Not even a low rumble or a grunt to indicate that the fire warg was there after retreating to a corner of her mind to give her some privacy.

She blinked, suddenly fully awake now and shooting a frantic look at the blond hunter. "Cain... What's going on?" Pulling on whatever was within reach from where she was on the bed (an oversized shirt that was obviously his and a pair of shorts), she scooted to the edge of the bed to get up, only to be momentarily incapacitated by a ringing sound in her ears and a nauseating sensation that made her lean back against the wall, breathing heavily as she made a retching sound.

"Don't feel too good..." She shuddered, thankful for the fact that nothing came up that could potentially create an awful mess, stretching her hands out to the other hunter as soon as the horrible episode passed. "Nellie can't feel Niffy too." Perhaps that was why she was feeling so out of sorts.

"Apparently not." He sounded equally as grumpy, and now that he was on his feet he felt it too, that vague wooziness, the slight tip to the floor and overall unwellness. It was faint, like those first hours if s bad flu. That almost disconnected haze that came with weaker limbs that might shake if you held still long enough.

He made another frustrated sound, inhaling deeply before letting it all out in a rush.

After a moment he settles pale eyes on Ever again. "Answers and direction, or safety?" It was a question of which way they'd turn once they left the room.

Radley is in the COURTYARD

Radley didn't get up right away when everyone else was scrambling around.

It was the first time her weapon didn't speak to her.

Dread pooled in the pit of her stomach as she lay there, staring at the ceiling, almost swearing she could hear something talking at the edge of her ears, but every time she turned there was nothing there.

Nothing whatsoever.

Sitting up and deciding to go outside for a bit of fresh air, she headed towards the courtyard and did her best to stay out of other people's way, always able to slide by anyone and everyone due to her quiet and silent nature.

She was a mouse, and she stayed out of the way. It's what she did best.

Radley glanced over at the wall, feeling her whole body grow cold at the vines covering the walls. They covered the entire island, revealing that there was nothing - nothing at all - that they could do to escape.

A hunter hacked and coughed and fell at others' feet, the dread in her stomach feeling like a weight.

Would they all end up like that? Rushing over to him, she felt his head and was a bit relieved to find that he was still alive, but in a cold sweat.

This wasn't good. She had to say something. She had to do something?

Instead, she pulled into herself, unsure of how to express anything. Why would anyone believe her? She was just a trainee that no one hardly knew, and Eilissandra had always harped on her to go out and make friends.

She'd never really taken it seriously, until now...

The poor guy looked like s**t, Evan was alarmed to note as the other man turned to look at him. Illness on the island, in his experience, was exceedingly rare considering their weapons generally kept them free of such things.

"I feel fine," Evan said distractedly as he briefly turned his thoughts inward, searching for the connection to his weapon and coming up with nothing. He should have noticed Gir's silence immediately since it was so rare a thing, but Evan had grown used to tuning out his manic babbling. He almost felt a little guilty about not realizing it sooner. "I'm cut off from my weapon, too, though," he continued with a grim shake of his head. "I don't suppose you're just hung over?" Evan asked hopefully. He could hear snatches of conversation coming from others in the courtyard, though, and knew that that was probably not the case.

"I know," Sherry said the words more out of habit than anything, still patting Mimi on the head. Not having her weapon seemed be truly affecting the trainee, and Sherry was almost glad to see it. It meant they'd been bonding, hopefully.

Another glance was given to Felicia- she looked to be holding up well enough, though Sherry was given to wonder if the girl's stutter was brought on by nerves. If it was, well, Sherry couldn't blame her. This whole morning was just terrible.

"Okay," she said, turning. Turning too fast, it seemed, as dizziness washed over her for the briefest of moments. In fact, the longer she stood the more she realized that her whole body felt off. She didn't feel well, to say the least.

"Stick with me, and stay alert," she told the girls. "Keep an eye on the phones in case they kick in again." Focusing on the matter at hand was probably the best course, in Sherry's view. Though without her weapon how much protection she could offer was debatable. Oh, how she missed Armagnac, she almost felt lost without her. Hopefully whatever was causing this was temporary.

She looked up and down the hall again, noting others milling about here and there, some talking, other not. Not a glimpse of teal hair to be had, though Sherry knew he could handle himself. Armagnac would have chided her for worrying, if she were there. Sherry almost felt cold inside.

A shiver ran down her spine and Sherry shook her head. Armagnac would also scold her for just standing there.

Mimi was given a gentle push, and Felicia a nod, and then Sherry started to move slowly down the hall. "Be ready for anything."
