He watched with almost glazed, disinterested eyes as Galahad died. Horace was preoccupied. Not even the peril of his friend could tear his mind away from the things he held. The important things. Galahad morphed into something terrible and he just couldn't bring himself to care enough. Edgar chirped on his shoulder, pecking once at his ear. It was clear the little bird did not think the grail was Horace's but his. Birb Royalty. But, much like Galahad, Edgar was ignored.
Wrapping his arms protectively around himself and his wadded up cloak, he ran.

Always late, always so late. And maybe if she hadn't been, she could have retreated in a timely manner from what transpired in the Corridor of Knowledge. Maybe even some visions of some sort, things that she loved, people she admired once upon a time or even now just this small length of time in Camelot.
But that wasn't what she found. The young black knight found some weird shadow creatures with bright green eyes.
She regretted everything immediately.

Arrakis didn't bother asking a second time; this was his answer. He wasn't any more keen on staying than the other knights were and he immediately turned and dashed off in the other direction.

The weight of the cup was lifted from his hands, and in that instant, the dreamlike haze was lifted. Everything became dark and ugly and twisted again, as it had always been without destiny. His fixation on Mimsy snapped - he twisted himself immediately away in his desperation to find it.
And that was when she struck.
He felt it before he could see it - a sharp stabbing pain in his side that immediately radiated outward with blood and burning. He followed the curve of her blade to where it had twisted between the plates of his armor to finds its mark. He looked -- surprised? Confused? It was impossible to him, somehow, that he could be defeated like this. And though every instinct wished to exact his revenge, to raise his mace and bring it down upon her again and again until he had drawn ten times the blood - there was a much bigger problem.
It was gone, the grail was gone. And with it every hope and dream the vision had shown him. He was utterly fixated. And pretty pissed off, too. He looked toward the monster and its army, which obscured the room and everything in it now. They had it, didn't they?
"GIVE IT BACK!" he howled, smashing the mace into the beast that had once been Galahad. "GIVE IT BACK TO ME! THE GRAIL IS MINE!"
There was a moments sorrow for the loss of Galahad, another knight taken down by evil.
And then s**t just got real
Thankfully others had stepped in to save the two caught in the shadowlings grasp, but now she had to deal with a crazed silver haired boy. She had hoped he'd snap out of it by now but apparently not.
"We need to go. Now" She bonked him on the head and, hoisting him over her shoulder, sheathed her sword and made a run for it.

The moment the Great Knight- No, the moment the corpse loosened it's grip on his neck, Oliver lunged away and fell to his knees, wheezing. It was perhaps his first lucky break since losing his memories that no shadow creatures attacked him while he gasped and trembled.
With his life no longer in sudden and immediate danger, Oliver looked around frantically to try and find Horace amidst the chaos. Some knights were fighting the corpse amidst the dark bodies of other monsters, others were running... but where was his friend? Surely Horace hadn't been taken down!

The black knight had no idea what to do, or even still yet what she had even walked into. "Wh.. what is this?" Everyone seemed to be retreating - it did seem like an excellent idea with all the green eyed shadow creatures around. They were like the undead or something, rotting and disgusting.
Others seemed to be staying and fighting, someone wanted something back.
In her distress over a decision, Maple ended up summon a chicken.. and swinging her claymore out blindly. (Ow, something hit her in the process!)

This cannot be. Galahad, after being rescued, seems to regain his sanity back...
ONLY TO METAMORPHOSE INTO SOMETHING ENTIRELY DIFFERENT OH GOD WHAT IS THAT.
Black. Everything was pure black. The still-living knights are all running for their lives once the two captives are taken away safely.
The green-eyed monster looked directly at him, seemingly...interested.

(OMG! I go away for 4 hours come back and the thread erupted! Whhhhhyyyy! D: )
It was utter chaos at this point! Knight attacking knight the few who were defending Galahad with the intent of keeping him safe were being attacked it was nuts! Camilla had been focusing on keeping Galahad safe refusing to indulge in the madness of attacking other knights when finally at long last Galahad spoke! "S-sir!?" she squeaks in a happy surprise soon he had water but to her dismay it was too late! "Galahad!?" she yelps in worry as he flops over the boy unmoving but it would be what happens next that would be the most concerning!
Suddenly SOMETHING begins to claw it's way out of the Great Knight's lifeless corpse making quite a horrific mess in the proccess! "W-wha!" she exclaims with a devastated expression "W-we tried so hard to save him yet we still couldn't!" she chokes despair was slowly creeping into her heart as they lost Great Knight after Great Knight! However the devastated expression snaps to a serious one as the Galahadesque monster grabs two knights and bites one! "No!" She shouts then raises her blades against the thing! If Galahad's soul was trapped in it killing it would give him freedom or if it was simply a monster hiding within him taking it out would bring justice!
Quickly she lunges forwards intent on striking it but it bat her aside like a annoying fly! Others seemed to be having the same luck but she wouldn't give up! She wouldn-! "Eep! Wait Shayne! Wait!" she squeaks desperately just as she had stood up to attack again he grabs her wrist and pulls which puts her off balence making her easy to drag away!

Shu was watching again, just watching how the situation went bad, people attacked the Great Knight Galahad and he turned into a mess of shadows with glowing eerie green eyes. Another one fell, it seemed to be how it should be going underhand. She squinted at the knights and quickly located the Grail on one man's hand.
She remembered his voice, the voice that yelled for his friend, expressing concern to another knight that attacked by the shadows. He dumped his friend, what a selfish man. He didn't deserve the Grail at all. She felt power from it, and he didn't deserve it.
Holding her swords, she tailed the man to leave, now the female knight and male knight that was assaulted was rescued. She would take it from him, for which he didn't deserve it.
What did he do with the situation? He did nothing, just like her.

The female knight apprentice wore a set of light dark armor had a body better than the hunter in another world, small but not flat bless. Abundance of raven hair was tied up and adorned with a small raven skull pin, she was nicknamed the "Child of Raven". Cheerful, friendly but serious in her battle, Shu's choice of weapon is a pair of chakram that matches with her swiftness and agility.
[Enter] Lass left the corridor her sword in her hand and headed down a new one, she could hear voices in the hall maybe a scream and then something strange. A scent of rot and death filled the air as she continued to move forward slightly weary of what was happening. There was Galahad, or what was left of Galahad on the ground, and she had managed to make it just in time before it the claws stretched out of his body grabbing at the two knights closes to him. Black limbs continued to tear out of him as Lass continued to step backwards, she had planned on returning some sort of revenge to Galahad but this, this was something Lass didn’t know. It was a creature, a shadowling, and as it grew larger and larger more started to arise. There had been no attention paid before to the corpses that lay at Galahad’s feet but it was obvious, they had been knights at one point loyal to him, some she had seen gather the others for the dungeon. Madness, he had gone completely mad like Gawain, and now the other knights were joining in, their bodies rising like shadows their eyes glowing green in the darkness. Shamblings they were called, something like dead zombies walking feeling the need to eat human flesh. Lass could almost feel her knees buckle underneath her, she could deal with a lot of things but this, zombie like creatures no they were not on the list.
“Hell no.” Still backing up she watched as the fancy pants knight from earlier ran passed her, as much as she wanted to yell out that he was a coward she really couldn’t blame him. No it didn’t take her very long to follow running right behind him, she did feel a little bit sorry for the knights already being eaten.
