Returning to his role as guide for his blind trainer, Silver's Cubone would lead her away from the Solrock that was sleeping on the ground. Her paws would brush lightly against the Solrock's body, letting Silver know that she had avoided tripping over yet another Pokemon.

After ditching the fighting Pokemon, Isaac found a small, clear area in the tundra. Having spent the last several several hours on his feet, Isaac decided that it was a good time to have lunch. Sitting down on a rock, Isaac set his backpack on the ground, before feeding some of the bait to his Noibat. The smile on his face vanished as he turned back to his backpack, and discovered that his sandwich was missing. "Not again," he blurted out as he scanned the area. The thief wasn't very far, a Sneasel was gleefully chomping into the sandwich from behind the rock.
"Hey, give that back" Isaac roared as he lunged towards the cat like Pokemon, but the small thief was too quick, slipping past his outstretched hands easily, without relinquishing its prize. "Razor Wind," Isaac called back to Konrad, who promptly flapped his way into the air. Positioning himself above Isaac so he wouldn't be endangered by the attack, the tiny bat began flapping up a furious gale. The Sneasel, distracted by the combination of Isaac and the sandwich, was caught unawares and the blast of wind crashed into the poor Pokemon.
Now it was game time, and the Sneasel wasn't happy that its lunch was interrupted, lunging at the bat with claws outstretched, swiping away furiously at the target. A furious melee broke out, the Sneasel furiously swiping away with its claws, the Noibat attacking with its fangs, leeching life from its opponent. Eventually the two Pokemon both broke out of the brawl, using their agility to dart around the landscape. "Get past it," Isaac called out, "Then come around and hit it from behind!" Konrad darted past the offending Pokemon, before pulling a U-turn and crashing into the Sneasel from behind. The cat Pokemon tumbled into the ground, and as it struggled to its feet Isaac took the opportunity to toss a Great Ball at it.

The Great Ball clicked shut, and after a few shudders, fell still. "Well, that's done then," Isaac muttered as he picked up the ball. "And lunch is ruined again," he moaned, casting his gaze over the ruins of his sandwich. It was at that moment that the ground chose to spasm out into another set of quakes. When they subsided Isaac recalled his Noibat, and took off for the entrance with new found energy. While he wasn't sure exactly what was causing the quakes, he was pretty sure what group was responsible for them.

Silver would hear a rather fierce little growl, signalling to her that she had finally found one of the Pokemon she had set her sights on. Though of course she couldn't see the Growlithe herself, she knew that it was there. "Finally! A little fire friend for us," she'd say, her voice gruff. The Growlithe would glare at the odd hybrid person that it saw before it, never having seen any sort of hybrid before, continuing to growl, it's hackles raising as it bared it's teeth. Silver's Cubone could see that the Growlithe was very nervous, and looked about ready to run off. Silver could of course smell how scared the Growlithe was, her keen canine nose able to catch on to those scents. The Houndoom hybrid wondered if it was wise to actually try to attack the Growlithe, or if she should try to catch it another way. Deciding against attacking for the moment, Silver would crouch down, holding her hand out towards the Puppy Pokemon. The Growlithe would sniff her carefully, but continued to keep its distance, growling a bit more. "We don't want to hurt you little one, we just want to be friends," Silver would say, trying to keep her voice as even as possible, despite her naturally growly tone.
The Growlithe, unsure if it should trust this weird person at all, would instead decide to bolt, running in the opposite direction. Silver could hear the Growlithe's claws clicking against the stone as it ran off, and she couldn't help but sigh. "Guess we're gonna have to do this the hard way," she'd say, chasing after the Puppy Pokemon, her Cubone right beside her. "Try and stop it with a Bonemerang." Nodding once, Silver's Cubone would expertly toss his bone club at the Growlithe, aiming for its legs, hoping to trip it. The Growlithe, hearing the trainer's command as well, was able to leap over the incoming bone club, watching it fly off into the distance, smirking as it continued to run. However, the Growlithe would be taken off guard when the bone came back at it, hitting its front legs and causing it to fall flat on its face. Whimpering slightly, the Growlithe would roll onto its back, exposing its belly to Silver and her Cubone. Crouching again, Silver would reach for the Growlithe, wondering if it would let her touch it. However, as her hand drew close, it was too late for Silver to notice the light growling that was coming from the Puppy Pokemon again, as the Growlithe would bit down on her outstretched hand. "Ahhh... That really stings," she'd saying hissing through clenched teeth. She withdrew her hand, holding it tightly in her other one.
Once again the Growlithe would get up and run off, barking loudly as it did so. "Another Bonemerang please." The bone club would go flying again, this time aimed at a few stalactites just above the Growlithe, causing them to fall all around the Puppy Pokemon as the bone club hit them. Feeling trapped, the Growlithe would let off a Flame Burst which would shatter some of the fallen stalactites. However, the fire attack would also just reach a few Geodudes that were curled up nearby, angering them in the process. The Geodudes would gang up on the Growlithe, who was now stuck between the rock types, as well as the trainer and her Cubone. Unsure what to do, the Puppy Pokemon would be frozen in place, its tail tucked between its legs as it whimpered. The Geodudes would start tossing rocks at the Growlithe, and one of them would go so far as using Earthquake, causing a lot of rocks to start falling from the ceiling, landing on top of the Puppy Pokemon.
Hearing all the rocks colliding with the ground, and a pained yelp come from the Growlithe, Silver ran forward a little faster, her Cubone tossing a Bonemerang at the Geodudes, forcing them to run away. Silver would start trying to clear away the rocks that had fallen, hoping that the Growlithe would be okay. Her Cubone would help, smashing some of the rocks with his club. Finally, as the last rocks were being cleared away, Silver would catch onto the labored breathing of the Growlithe. Feeling around for the Growlithe's body to examine it, she would find that one of its legs was pinned beneath a rather large boulder. She would attempt to move it, finding that it was too heavy for her to move more than an inch or so, and the Growlithe yelped again as she did so. "Damn it... There's only one way left for me to get you out of this, so you're gonna have to trust me," she'd whisper. The Growlithe, its eyes closed, would whimper loudly, clearly in pain.
"Alright... here we go." The Safari ball would be tossed toward the Puppy Pokemon, its only chance of rescue.

The Growlithe would writhe in pain, and batted the Safari ball away, whimpering again. "You have to trust me little one... It'll hurt you too much if I try to do this any other way..." Silver would whisper, tears springing into her eyes. The pained sounds coming from the Growlithe was too much for her to bear. She would toss her second Safari ball, hoping that maybe this one would work.

A strangled cry would escape from Silver's lips as she heard the Safari ball clatter to the floor once more, having been batted away again. "Fine, if you're gonna be so damn stubborn, I'll try and get this boulder off of you first," Silver would whimper. She would grunt as she tried again to shove the boulder away from the Growlithe. It would roll slightly, though Silver could hear the Growlithe whimpering, a loud yelp coming from it as Silver shoved the boulder one last time, finally letting the Growlithe free from its weight. It would rise to its feet, limping as it walked away a few steps before turning back to look at Silver. "I didn't want you to get hurt like this. I will never let you get hurt like this again if you choose to come with me... Please..." Silver would whisper, falling to her knees. She would clutch the Safari ball in both hands, holding it tight to her chest for a moment before holding out the ball to the Growlithe. If she was going to catch it, it would be the Growlithe's choice now, not hers.

The Growlithe would limp towards her, licking her hand gently before pressing its nose to the Safari ball, letting itself be snared in the red light. The ball would shake once in her hand before clicking shut. Letting out a breath Silver didn't know she was holding, she would sigh, closing her eyes. "Thank you.. for finally trusting me. I promise that I'll keep my word, and never let you get hurt like that again. My precious Growlithe..."
Silver's Cubone would climb into her lap, touching the Safari ball with one hand, the bone club still clutched in his other one. Silver would smile, and wipe away a few tears from her eyes. "C'mon, let's get going."
