Once he was back in the town, he decided to do a bit of research on where the next location was at. He looked at the map, his eyes scanning it over, before he looked up. According to this map, he could get the the ruins from here. He just needed to find a sign or something that told him where it was at. Pursing his lips, he moved towards different trails before he finally found a sign stating where the ruins were. With that, he moved towards it and hoped that he'd find even more amazing things on his way to find the eggs.

A Net of web began falling from the sky as a pair of angry Spinarak unleashed a Strong shot into the air over their heads from high in the trees. "Move!" Sin yelled rushing to scooping the Buneary up following her sibling for cover under the tree's themselves. "This won't work, we need to take out of the Spinarak first.""But what if it's not their fault?" Sin didn't want to admit it but there wasn't time to consider that possibility. "No time to argue sis, We can patch them up after we solve all of this. One step at a time though ok?" Nis bit her lower lip for a second processing everything. Nis asked cowering behind her sibling. Birds that couldn't fly seemed like something out of a nightmare. Too many horror movies perhaps. "Yeah, it's weird. Maybe Nurse Joy was right?" Nis nodded stepping out to release Illumise. Sin release his Volbeat. "Illumise, lets help be~' Nis screeched before finishing as a bird flung itself towards them. "Volbeat, lead the charge. Knock them all out cold!" He wasn't as bothered by the oddity of terrestrial birds. In fact, he counted as a blessing. If they were airborne it be harder to pick them off.

Pid's were naturally well adapted to combat. Thankfully whatever was turning them violet also prevented them from taking off. They were too dizzy to risk injury by crashing into something. "Good job Volbeat, you deserve a rest." A flash if white light evaporated the bug-type back to the safety of its Pokeball. Nis was hugging her Illumise. "You did good, too, I'm proud." She praised before recalling it as well.
Sin was knelt down checking the bird-types as Nis kept an eye out for more danger. There wasn't time to collect and bring them to safety before Nis spotted something out of the order of her eye. "Did you see that?" She said pointing as something flickered in and out of existence obscured by the growing shadows of houses left behind as the sun made its descent. It would be dark before long. Sin's attention was elsewhere. Focused on a bipedal Pokemon he could hardly believe his eyes he was seeing. A Cranidos. They were extinct though!
"Watch out!" Nis barely had time to turn around before Sin tackled her to the ground. Pinning her in place, safe from the explosion of wood and metal that now came raining down around them from an explosive impact with a car. The impact sent the vehicle rolling down the street leaving debris everywhere. The siblings curled around one another covering each other's head until the sounds of falling metal had stopped. Looking up it looks like the car had been sideswiped by a cannonball. Nis rolled off his sister and they both stood in shock. "Crani!" The Pokemon screeched turning back to reading a second attack. "Its a rock type, use Lombre!" Sin managed as Nis whelped and clung to her brother's shoulder as a second Pokemon joined the fray. "This is so out of our league!""Just hold the line!"

That was without a doubt the most intense battle they had even been in. Even more so then the Team Plasma invasion of the Ren-festival. They were just acting as support back then. Here, they had no backup. No place to run and hide. No one to protect them. But in the end, victory had been theirs for the taking. But just barely. The Cranidos, though destructive, proved a glass cannon. It had been the Shieldon that put up most of the fight. Facing off against two grass type, it still managed to defeat Lombre and bring Nuzleaf to its knees. But after` to the fight, they had to return to the Pokemon center to rest and recover.
Sin sat in a room on the second floor overlooking the city. In his hand was Nuzleaf's Pokeball. He kept rolling the shrunken orb back and forth in thought. He'd come here to get a moment away from everyone asking if it was safe to return home leaving that to Nis. The peace was fleeting though as Nis eventually found him. It was like she had a sibling GPS sometimes. "Your brooding, whats wrong? She asked wrapping her bother in an embrace and resting her head on his shoulder. Sin sighed dipping his head only to quickly pick himself back up. "Nuzleaf was practically useless in that battle." He began. "We couldn't do anything to help."
He'd never spoken of his Pokemon this way before so it definitely shocked Nis. "Hey, he did his best.""I'm not saying he didn't. We just don't have any good moves yet. You and Lombre thought~" Nis pulled away slapping her sibling in the back of the head. "Still lost the fight- ill remind you." Sin turned to face his sister rubbing the back of his head. "At least you could fight. All we did was buy you time." Nis couldn't argue that. Sin and Nuzleaf might have delivered the final blow but they hadn't been able to aid in the overall battle more than a handful of times. "Why don't you go ask Nurse job if she could help then?" Sin perked up and nodded in agreement.
Nurse job had given the siblings two heartscales which they used on Lombre and Nuzleaf respectively teaching them both a new move each. For Nuzleaf the result wasn't what Sin had been expecting but it gave them some offensive options at least. "Thanks, nurse job.""Thanks, nurse job." With that the siblings were back on the streets fending off the confused and enraged wild Pokemon. Firstly though, having to deal with a new pair of fossil Pokemon. "Whats going on!" Sin asked, more to himself than his sister when the duo of rock types suddenly teleported away. "I don't know but we've got bigger issues, look!" Down the street a Growlithe and Vulpix were dooking it out. "The Growlithe is mine!" Sin yelled rushing into battle. "Good, I wanted the Vulpix anyway!" there was an unspoken agreement to capture these two, between the twins.

It seemed that the large turkey Ho-oh had not been Zero's wish, though somehow, Leon wasn't too surprised. But then again, what if the unown just didn't really do wishes? "If you had, I'd say you must be starving." he commented lightly, chuckling to himself. Soon, they were both ready to leave, and Nova set her hands on their shoulders and teleported them out.
They came out into Ecruteak City, finally free from the old, dusty smell of the ruins, and the feel of walls closing in. Kai shook himself beside Leon from the experience, grunting a bit. The odd egg was still the same in Leon's arms. It wasn't some kind of illusion. It was an actual pokemon egg. He was still at a loss to why his wish had resulted on this, but it wouldn't be the first time he had to take care of an egg.

Leon's comment did get a quiet, if slightly tired laugh out of the silver-haired man, not exactly helped by the quiet rumble of his stomach now that he was reminded that it'd been some time since he last ate. Made him feel a little light, even. Perhaps now that they were all finished, they'd have to stop somewhere and eat once they meet back up with Isis? One thing at a time, I suppose, Zero mused, bracing himself for the jump as Nova placed a hand on him to warp them back to civilization.
With only the slightest hint of nausea, the young man's eyes opened to the new environment. The fresh, cool air all around them was a welcome change from the ancient and inconsistent ruins, his body hadn't yet adjusted to stale, hard to breath air. He wasn't exactly familiar with where they ended up--No doubt Nova just brought them to the nearest place she could visualize to get them out of there--but it was as good a place as any for the moment. The day seemed to have taken its toll on her as well, so before the fatigued Gardevoir took after her trainer and collapsed from exhaustion, he returned the astral Psychic-type to her ball. A moment later, once he'd taken a moment to get in some deep, full breaths, Zero finally turned his attention back to Leon, moving to offer his left hand now that it was all said and done. "Well, I can't say it was an enjoyable time, but I am glad I had some company to trek through the ruins with. Why don't we... rest for a second... bef-"
His words stopped as he felt the tightness in his chest suddenly grow sharp, only realizing that his left arm hadn't moved from his side when his right clutched his chest. He opened his mouth to speak again, but only a pained groan emerged as he fell to earth, his entire body locking up on him as he collapsed in front of the pokemon center.

Leon didn't have such a hard time recovering from the teleport. Maybe that was because he was more relieved to be out in the open air again. Kai came around after a minute or two, sniffing around and recognizing the area. However, Leon noticed that Zero seemed a bit worse for wear. He was about to ask if he was okay, but Zero started to speak, then clutched at his chest and collapsed. "Holy s**t!" Leon cursed, pushing his egg into Kai's arms before moving to pick up Zero. Luckily, the gator was too surprised by the turn of events that he didn't think of the egg as food. It was a good thing this was happening right in front of the pokemon center though.
"Arceus, Zero. Shouldn't you be taking medication or something for this?" Leon grumbled, mostly to himself since he wasn't sure Zero was even conscious as he pushed his way into the pokemon center with Zero in tow. Kai followed behind, clutching the egg in his trainer's stead. "Hey, i need some help here! My friend's having a heart attack!" Leon called out for help urgently. That was enough to get some nurses to rush out to him to take Zero into their care. The lifeguard ran his fingers back through his hair, feeling a bit stressed by the situation. He had been told that he can relax in the waiting room while they take care of Zero, but something about seeing someone collapse right before you really drains you of the ability to relax.
With a sigh, Leon looked over to Kai in time to see that the gator was starting to take a bit too much interest in the egg, looking like he was comparing it to how wide he could open his jaws. "That's not food, buddy. Let's get you something else." he intervened, taking the egg from his starter and leading him over to the cafeteria area to grab him some food. While he did that, he figured he should try to message Isis. After making sure that Kai was all set with some good food, Leon found a seat and took out his communicator. Text to Isis: Hey there, Princess~ ;D We finally finished up in the ruins. I got an egg and Zero got this oversized-turkey looking Ho-oh. Does this make us parents now? Uh, also, Sorry about earlier... I'm kinda claustrophobic. How did your job go? oh, by the way, zero had another heart attack and they are taking care of him now. Love you~ Satisfied with the message, he sent it off. To his surprise, it started ringing not too long after. Seeing that it was his grandfather, he picked it up immediately. He was calling because while they were adventuring on vacation, they came across a pokemon that seemed lost, but un-owned. He explained that the pokemon would do best with a trainer for the time being, and said that he sent it off to Leon's pc. After a bit of catching up and discussing this odd occurrence of a mega blaziken wandering about, the call came to an end, and Leon went over to a pc to withdraw the pokemon from it, finding a place in his team for it before letting it out. He expected the pokemon to squawk, but it merely looked around in confusion before staring silently at Leon. "Hey there. I don't know what you've been through, but it's going to be okay. You will be travelling with me now, and I'll make sure to take care of you." Leon assured the blaziken. It seemed to relax a little, clicking his beak a bit.

The young man tried to groan out something stubborn about not needing medication, but only got as far as the "groaning" part of the equation. It was largely a struggle to keep himself conscious throughout the ordeal, lapsing from time to time without noticing those gaps. He only truly passed out once the nurses carted him into the back, unable to remain awake through it all. Though, fortunately, the medical staff in the center were able to stabilize him, the young man simply needing time to rest a short while later.

While his body took time to recover, Zero found himself in a deep slumber. It was a peaceful one, thanks to the Cresselia Wing he’d been given. Rather than replacing the nightmares though, the loose feather simply left him in an odd state of limbo. No good dreams or bad dreams, he just found himself in a black void; an empty space where his body was just a vague and blurry mass of color. A simple space in a quiet gap in his mind. Empty, but refreshingly untroubled as a result.
It took a while for Zero to actually catch up with the moment and realize where he was. His consciousness lagged behind until it was brought to the present, leaving him uncertain of how long he’d been there. But, he thought, it’s probably fine to just… rest here, for a moment. It may not have been pleasant, but when compared to replaying the horrors he’s seen or reliving the trauma and fears that hung over him, it would serve well enough to let him recharge for now. He was content to just wait there until he awoke, fine with having a simple break as a gentle breeze flowed past him.
Get up.
That voice carried on that wind, prompting Zero’s eyes to snap open in his dream as he watched the current of air swirl in front of him. He barely heard the echos of all of those he knew; whatever was speaking finally using their own voice. They were quiet, hardly staying louder than a whisper, but it resonated in his mind like someone was speaking right into his ear. The two words reverberated through his body, and slowly solidifying the form he took.
Then the current of air began to take shape, in the form of a rather short silhouette. Their features were at first indiscernible until color appeared out of the space, giving their form more volume. Zero watched as a person was seemingly created before his eyes, an avatar to give the voice a face in his dreamscape. A head of snowy white came first, split on either side of the center locks that dropped between where their eyes would be. They stretched to either side symmetrically, save for a few loose strings of hair and a cowlick-antennae. A pair of black goggles were positioned on the top of their head, the strap disappearing into the long hair. The locks descended a ways down to the shoulder blades, before coming together in a long, braided ponytail that went all the way down to their ankles. Two more braids came down across their still-forming chest, a pair of black hair clips stopping the pattern before letting the thin strands flow further down freely.
While this was happening, their face was colored in as well, painting a fairly pale, feminine figure with a gaze of vibrant pink, which Zero almost confused for crimson initially. It was a flat, uniform color at first, but after a second the detail started to fill in, giving her eyes more depth and a proper shimmer, despite the absent source of light. From there, her clothes started to fill in too; a white jacket covering her upper body and waist, with a pink underside to her arms and the sides of her until the jacket ended off. The sleeves were quite baggy, and with the pink wrapping around the end of the fabric, it covered the back of her hands, hiding the outer glove that went over the much thinner, black ones she wore underneath.
After a moment of inspection, the young man realized the jacket was more like a partial bodysuit, as her shorts merged seamlessly with the top, and fitting smoothly to her legs. Her left thigh was covered down to the knee in what looked like half of a pair of black tights, while the right was outfitted with a thigh-high of the same color instead. Two belts were slung across her waist, one going horizontally across it clearly holding a black pouch, with the one going diagonally down along her leg, which he couldn’t entirely discern the use of. The girl’s exposed right thigh was covered by two leg straps, connected by short plastic strips and another pouch that was just a touch smaller than the one on her hip. Her feet were covered by fairly simple white boots, pink lining the sides of the front tab and tied as loosely as possible, while a black strap hung around the ankle.
By then, the extraneous details began to fill in as well, like a white medical patch cupping her cheek, a small, black ribbon tying the end of her ponytail off, and a pink design sweeping across her bangs, looking like a crescent arrow that segmented into an orb, rather than a point. The young man watched this whole process closely, not that there was anything else he could see in the blank space. When she had fully formed, she stood about a foot shorter than the trainer himself, and smiled softly, before taking a few steps closer. Zero felt his distorted visage beginning solidify as she drew near. When she was finally just inches away from him, the mysterious woman reached a hand out towards his own, mouthing her words as if to speak. But rather than sound escaping her lips, they just echoed in his mind, a reverberance of his friends’ voices growing more noticeable with each word.

He hung suspended in the air for a brief moment before gently settling onto the nonexistent floor below, his feet simply pressing flat against a floor he couldn’t make out. It was somewhat disorienting, but as long as gravity didn’t suddenly invert or distort he doubted he’d have any issues. After he was reoriented, he took another moment to look the woman over, curious about the avatar the little voice in his head had taken on. Was this really the source that had spurred him to action before? ”Who…are you?” he asked, his thoughts echoing through the space.
I don’t have a name.
She stated quietly, her voice resonating far differently than anything else Zero had ever experienced. Despite being little more than a construct, her form seemed fairly life-like. In fact, he’d almost hazard to say she seemed…real.
But I’ve been here for quite a while. Lying asleep, in hiding. A little sprite that grew into what you’re seeing now. You could say I’m…
There was a brief pause.
A stowaway.
”But what are you?” Zero asked faintly, his mouth moving to articulate the words before he could think them, a part of him surprised that talking normally worked just fine in this level of consciousness. The mysterious woman raised a hand to her lips, bending one of her fingers to cover her mouth as she let out a small giggle.
A reasonable question. I know you don’t like to go back to that time, but...you unwittingly picked me up during the chaos of that deplorable hive. It wasn’t just the living that they fed on, you know. Strong spirits attract wandering souls that hardly escaped being lost in the ether, and that group… Well, more souls equals more power, for spirits like that.
The woman’s expression sowered, as her arms crossed over each other so her hands had something to grip tightly. Her gaze went downward, though she continued regardless.
At the time, I didn’t even have proper sapience. Just a fading soul that drifted into the absolute wrong place when things went awry. The sheer malevolence and power of those specters were suffocating, you could feel them drawing in the stray souls as they fought you and that collection of trainers. Things were so chaotic that I hardly knew what I was doing or where I was going… To a degree, I was just as afraid as you all were. So, in a panic, I tried to hide. I looked for the nearest thing I could bury myself in… And that just happened to be you.
The woman chuckled for a moment, before looking back up at Zero, meeting his gaze with a sad, tired smirk. She held out her hand, poking the center of his chest, and for an instant the phantom sensation felt like it would as if it were a real person touching him.
I tucked myself away, nice and snuggly beneath your soul… And despite the chills I felt on the way in, I settled at the bottom, where I found a pleasant warmth. After that, I fell asleep. A deep, comfortable sleep, where it felt like I was wrapped in a warm blanket. I slept for a long time, occasionally being jolted awake whenever you had a sudden rush of emotion that made your spirit writhe in agony or rage. But I kept to my little corner, in that warm little spot near your core, and before I knew it, I became... Well, this.
She stepped back to spread her arms out and lift one leg forward off the floor, before slowly returning it to the ground and twisting about, as if she was inspecting herself.
Without realizing it, I snuggled up so close to that soul of yours, that I ended up tying myself to it, taking some of that warmth into myself. Whether it was while I was sleeping, or if I was taking shelter from your own inner storms, I ended up being able to grow thanks to that heat, and my consciousness developed all on its own, taking on this shape through some inexplicable twist in fate.
She paused again, before her smile dissipated and she glanced off to the side, thinking of something. The young man only now realized that there weren’t any extra voices to echo alongside the her own.
At the same time… That link is sort of a lifeline. Or perhaps even a crutch. If I happened to seperate myself from you, you wouldn’t be terribly affected, but odds are I’ll begin fading quickly and end up right back at square one.
She simply shrugged, as Zero looked at her sympathetically. ”So...it was you then? The voice that pushed me forward when I froze up in the Distortion World? And again in Veilstone?” Without much thought, the young trainer glanced behind him, finally seeing a chair that seemed to have materialized during their talk. He blinked, then looked back at the snowy-haired girl, only to find that she herself was now seated in another chair that wasn’t there a moment ago. Zero couldn’t help but chuckle, reminded that this was still the world of his dreams.
He took a seat, the chair cushioned quite nicely along the seat, backrest, and the arm rests. What remained was made of fine wood, painted a gold color to contrast with the red of the cushions. Returning to the topic at hand, the spirit nodded, confirming Zero’s suspicions well enough. From there, he moved onto the next question. ”Then why did you choose to speak then? Why not any other time, or even make yourself fully known? You seem strong enough to compel me to action, so I’m surprised you haven't even so much as tried to possess me.” She leaned back in her own chair, resting her eyes as her soft hum echoed through the void.
Well, I’ve begun to sleep less and less lately. I’ve had more energy than I used to, so I try to be awake when you are, as hard as it can sometimes be. But back then, with what happened in the Distortion World… I woke up because of what was happening around you. So much intense, burning emotion, held back by a cold hand. You locked up.
Zero grimaced slightly.
When that happened, I… felt myself compelled to do something. To help get you to go in a direction, to do what your heart was screaming at you to do. So… I grabbed on. To your soul, that is.
She giggled audibly, and though he didn’t get the joke, the length of it proved to be contagious, earning a small chuckle from Zero.
I still have the “burns”, you know. It was a bit painful at first, to get so close that you couldn’t ignore me, or force yourself into inaction. I dug my fingers into the wall you put up, the one locking you out from your own emotions, and pushed my way through. Even if it was just a small puncture, it was enough to break the dam. The moment you were made aware of it, you kicked the door down yourself, and I hung on just a bit longer to make sure you kept going. But after that, I slept again, for a long while… Quite odd, isn’t it? For a disembodied soul to speak as if she had a body, and one that they can even feel with.
She chuckled back at him, shrugging her shoulders before moving her hand to scratch her cheek.
I recovered, of course. Otherwise we wouldn’t be talking like this. But I didn’t dare to just latch onto you like before, so before anything happened, I slowly acclimated myself to the heat, to the cold, to any aspect of your soul I might ever have to push through or grab in order to help you. I guess that little core of your’s appreciated the effort, because when I gave you that gentle push the second time, that heat softened, and became quite welcoming. It was…nice, really. And to be honest, I was fine with just staying like that. A quiet, little hitchhiker who helps out where I can, to pay rent in a way. I didn’t mind the chain around my neck.
Until now, when you came down like this, I didn’t think you really needed to know who I was, or that I was anything more than just the voice of your heart. I still don’t, truthfully. But a part of me… Just wanted to be heard. I cannot take over your body, only give you a gentle push when you deny yourself, but even if I could I have no intention of trying to take control. I had my own time to live. I don’t know what it was like, or who I even was before, but… I was clearly forgotten. A whole life, lost to time, and even to myself. But like this, I have a purpose. Like this, I can say “I have a reason to exist”.
”Your own raison d'etre…” Zero commented, the words escaping his lips before he even thought of them again. She simply smiled, and nodded, though her eyelids seemed to grow heavy. A part of him wanted to reach over and pat her head, and tell her she’d done enough for now, but he remained in his chair, glancing down as he couldn’t hold back his own smile. ”Well, I guess reassuring to know that you’re here to help me. And… I’ll make sure that you won’t be forgotten this time. But what now? Will you go back to sleep…or stay awake?”
...I guess we’ll find out…
Her voice was noticeably quieter, and she let out a small yawn that she failed to cover up. She gave a weak smile, one Zero met with his own, if more sympathetic grin, accompanied by a small shrug.
Well, now you know that I’m here, and that you have someone you can talk to, at least. If you need it.
She gave him a small smile.
You may not think so, but... you are strong, you know. You have the power to back up that strength now, and you have the mind to help overcome anything ahead of you. Don’t think that your failures mean you can’t do anything, or that you didn’t do all you could… You have to remember you have more than just the dead and injured to take care of.
Behind the woman, phantoms of those Zero knew appeared, clear and crisp; Machina, Andreas, Alex, and Isis, as expected, but it wasn’t just them. His father was there, as were the young man’s pokemon. The various people he’d met along the way of his journey weren’t absent either. Even Leon was there, fortunately a notable distance away from Isis so he didn’t focus on the wrong thing. After a moment, the phantoms faded away, and the woman continued.
You’re not alone, either. If you really believe there’s something you can’t handle, don’t forget that you have some truly extraordinary people around you. Your friends will come to your aid, and even if they’re not able to stand beside you…they’re still behind you, every step of your journey.
There was suddenly something pressed against his back, a hand, it seemed like. It pushed him gently, but he didn’t budge. Then another appeared, and another, and another, and still more began to pop up left and right. He looked behind him as he had to hold onto his chair to make sure he didn’t get shoved out of it, only to find himself faced with those same phantoms from before. They all held out their hands––If they had any––and pressed them against his back, trying to push him forward with grins on their faces. Despite being fragments of his memory, to him, their touch still felt real, warm even. The woman sitting across from him widened her smile, as he seemed to remember his own words about this sort of thing.
And if anything happens, and you still can’t bring yourself to move… I’ll be here. And I’ll be sure to keep you going. Even if it’s just inch by inch…you’ll always have a little helper…
Her voice trailed off, and her head dipping before she caught herself, staying up despite appearing to be on the verge of passing out. Zero chuckled a bit, and finally rose from his seat, the phantoms fading back to nothing. ”I see. Thank you, then, I’ll try to keep all that in mind.” He could feel the dream beginning to fade as he walked beside of her chair, as if to pass it by, but paused to rest a hand on her shoulder, feeling the soft and smooth cloth of her suit against his skin. ”Tell me, before I go, what can I call you?” She simply gave him a tired smile.
I told you, didn’t I? I don’t have a name, nothing for people to call me… Which is fine. It’s not the little spark that needs to be remembered, but the blaze it ignites. As long as you keep on going on, I’ll be fine…
Her head began to slump, resting on his hand and her eyes shutting closed, letting out a small breath as she obviously began to drift back into her slumber. Zero chuckled again, and slid his hand out, letting his own eyes shut for a moment, before opening them to find a door standing in the void, directly behind the woman as she mumbled in her sleep.
So… warm…
Having laughed more than enough by this point, Zero simply began to walk towards the door, quietly making his way towards the apparent exit. He gripped the handle, turning the knob until it was ready to open. He paused here, for just one more moment to glance back at the little voice that’d helped him. He smiled, and quietly whispered into the void, before turning back to the door. ”Sleep well...Hazel.” He wondered briefly what made that name come to him, but he didn’t dwell on it. As he pushed the door open, light began to flood in from the other side, blinding and brilliant, washing away the abyss and all that it contained. He heard one last whisper before he faded back into reality, but he couldn’t make it out, pressing forward into the light without consequence.

A few hours after passing out, Zero was actually a little surprised when he awoke to what was left of the day’s sunlight beaming in through an amber glow. He didn’t know how long he’d been out, but evidently it was long enough for him to be treated and taken care of, and for the sun’s rays to gradually wane over the horizon. Once he had his bearings, he tried to get up and out of the bed, but a nurse was on him almost immediately, and the young man soon found himself bombarded by medical staff far more concerned about his sudden and crippling heart attack than he was.
The day vanished as the nurses kept him from just walking out an continuing on with his adventure like nothing had happened, the moon hanging overhead by the time they’d finished taking the remaining precautions to stave off another attack. He was only able to convince them to let him go once that was all said and done, and with some medication rattling softly in his grip, Zero finally emerged back out into the main lobby. He let out a tired sigh and rubbed his eyes, somehow feeling even more tired after all the extra tests and procedures. But for the moment, his objective was to find Leon, or at least see if he was still waiting for him in the center, thus he began scanning the room for the raven-haired lifeguard.
