"Its fine Vesresh. I'm sure she's just saying hi to all the boys before heading over to the girls. She was very nice during the touching. I'm sure she doesn't mean any harm towards anyone." She said kindly, giving her brother another squeeze. When Vos finally returned, she smiled. "Whoa you okay V? I'm glad that brown impressed but would have been better if it had not been near you!" She said protectively. "Do you see the gold? She's really pretty and she's being nice and saying hi to all the boys!" Vesin wondered if she would come say hi to them before moving on to the other girls.

Heeeeey lady. Where do you think you're going? Zen raised an eyebrow high as the gold slipped her way among the boys. Well Shaff. She didn't bother to stiffle a chuckle as she thought of how many of the female candidates back on the other side of the sands must be seething with envy. Well the gold didn't seem interested with her and her group anyways so other than keeping a wary eye out for any pointy bits, Zen paid her little mind. If it happened it happened but she wasn't the type to drool over the biggest and prettiest gem in the ground.
The renewed shrieks of the two fighting greens and the sudden charge of the brown were of a much higher priority. "Vosin!" Zen took a halting step towards the redhead and her knees locked against the movement as she realized the brown had Impressed. Was it to Vosin? No. He'd turned towards the bloodstained boy instead. "Oh shaff." She'd felt her stomach drop for a moment there. Sharding beast was off the sands now though. All the better.

Kylerr heard someone call out Vosin's name. Well, she was still around somewhere. It came from... among the boys? Kylerr chuckled to himself. Hardly surprising. That it coincided with the brown's lurching wasn't the most comforting... It at least provided him with some direction.
As he approached, he noted a distinct change in the brown, and he and a boy making their way now toward the edge. It seemed that the worst - so far - was over, but who knew what was still yet to come?
He caught a glimpse of red - a much better red than the blood he'd seen around - and approached. "Vos!" he called out as he got closer.

Vosin
There was simply so much going on! Candidates moving around, dragons hatching or fighting or walking. It was enough to make her head spin a bit. Sort of controlled chaos. A quick look showed her that no dragons were close by the group. And she took a deep breath, and tried to keep the tremors from her fingers. Wouldn't do to scare Esre. "So how do you cook the fish?" She asked Zen. No reason they couldn't be entertain while they waited.
Movement behind her made her turn a bit. She grinned as she spotted Kylerr. "Hey Kylerr. Where ya goin? Dragons are thatta way!" The teen snickered. She remembered his friend had already impressed. "We got room here if ya need a place to stand."
Vos waved aside her sister's concern. "I wasn't in any danger." At least, she hoped she hadn't been. Besides, she was perfectly fine now. The brown had only hissed at her. "Do you think the brown woulda impressed if I hadn't gone over? I'd rather have that dragon off the sands, thanks." Yes yes, there was plenty of bloodshed already. "Gold you say? In the boy's line? Interesting." Vos took a moment to peer through the candidates for the pale gold hide. "Pretty thing ain't she?"

Kalendol knew she'd not impress to the gold queen dragonet. So instead, her eyes fluttered through the eggs. The "dangerous" dragonet was safely at his bonded's side. That left... Charging, Shrieking, Guiding, and... Suspicious, Goldie... who else? As Kalendol's gaze swept the eggs she noticed her count was off. 'How can that be?' She thought to herself and then realized whom was missing. 'The Crystallized egg has hatched, I didn't see it among the little flock of candidates.' She mused carefully, hazel eyes searching.

The Invasive green had no intentions of quitting, regardless of Jamarin's objection to her apparent fascination with his pants. For some reason unknown to all but her, she wanted them! When he protested the matter, she yammered right back at him, then nipped carefully at the fabric, intending to pull if she could get a decent hold on it. It was clear that she wasn't aiming to harm him, she just wanted those pants!
The gold slunk like a great feline along the line of boys, rubbing up against them with a pleasant thrum. When she came to Jamarin and her sister, she paused, giving a curious warble to the green. Was she disrobing that boy? My my! She observed for a moment before making a sound that could only be interpreted as 'carry on!' before skirting around them to get back to her own business of demanding attention from the male candidates not being stripped by a green.
Meanwhile, in spite of all the energy they had already expended - all the ichor they had already shed! - Shrieking and Charging renewed their fight in earnest, with just as high a volume as before.

Kylerr laughed. "No kidding! Why do you think I'm here?" he joked. "I'd appreciate it," he added. "At least there's some strength in numbers." The gold was over here? He turned to look around for it, but she didn't take long. How odd. He turned to the others. "I'm Kylerr, by the way," he said with a smile, perhaps a contrast to the wound on his arm. "Nice to meet you all. Good luck, and let's be vigilant! This is far from over."

All this chaos, Ceirrys thought to himself, he was concerned for the seething greens, mystified by the curious gold, and burning with curiosity for the Crystalized Egg. There were so many active hatchlings, and still so many eggs left yet. If these new little dragons didn't impress soon, the sands would probably be thrown into absolute chaos-- it was already difficult to keep track between the injuries incurred by candidates and those sustained by the dragonets.

Carwyn kept a close eye on her mother and father, they were not violent people and she did her best to reassure them of the normalcy of, or distract them from, the blood and ichor being spilled on the sands. Cappella joined her in this effort, crooning loudly and demanding headknob scratching from Carwyn's and Ceirrys' parents. Carwyn chuckled at the new gold's behavior, she had to admit she'd never seen one so fascinated by the opposite gender candidates.

Even though Vos said she was okay and wasn't in any danger, her twin knew otherwise. The subtle hiding of the shaking in her hands was obvious to her as she had gotten scared herself when she thought her twin might get hurt. Of course, Vos was always the life of the party, another one of her friends came and joined their little group and introduced himself as Kylerr. "Hey there! I'm Vesin, Vos' twin...obviously. And this is our younger brother Vesresh." She said kindly, her eyes flicking towards all the hatchlings. The gold was apparently checking up on one of the boys who was currently getting his pants eaten by a dragonet. She smiled at Zen who had cried out when Vos was almost attacked. She seemed like a sweet girl.

The fighting greens, while they pointedly continued to not involve the candidates in their brawl, were not so considerate of the eggs. As they tumbled past the cracked Crystallized Egg, a grazing blow from Shrieking's dark wing finished the job and revealed the dragon within at last: a pale, beautiful green with darker markings, who blinked in bemusement as the battle moved past her. Unruffled, she flared her wings, flicking away tiny shards of shell.
Not missing a beat, the rivals paid little mind to the other green. Shrieking wailed as she managed to get the upper hand again, sending her larger oponent tumbling straight into the Seeking Egg, breaking its shell with a resounding crack. Obscured by sisters and shell, it was difficult to tell what color sibling they had helped to hatch.

Kalendol's attention was still on the eggs, and as they assisted the Seeking Egg in hatching she caught her breath. Could this possibly be an atypical color?

Vosin
Vos couldn't help herself at the comical scene of a green baby trying to pull the pants off a boy. "Heyla! Why don't you just give them to her? Or offer her your shirt?" Of course if they were wearing robes this wouldn't have come up. She was snickering and watching to see what the poor boy would do.
The slinking nature of the gold, though, cause Vos to keep an eye on her. She was certainly friendly enough wandering among the boys and rubbing up against them. Was she.... was she purring? In fact the gold was much more friendly. Shrill dragon cries echoed off the walls of the cavern. Something really needed to be done for those poor greens! Vos winced a bit at one particularly loud scream. Was this going to go on the whole hatching?
"Well good then! Didn't want you to get lost." The teen laughed and squished Esre between her and Ves to make more room. She grinned around at those who'd somehow, one way or another, joined the group. Vos noticed the blood on his arm. "Need that looked at or a bit of numbweed until this is over?" She grinned as Ves jumped right in to welcome Kylerr. "Oh yeah! I never told ya I had a twin. That that's Zen over there." Vos gave Zen a wink to show she was completely ok.
A loud crack of shell breaking make Vos look toward the eggs. The pair of fighting greens were quite in the center of a mess. She shook her head. They had to be loosing so much ichor. It'd take forever to change all these sands.

Jaric
Things got calmer for a while once the angry brown Impressed. He still didn't seem to like anyone else, but he couldn't attack anyone, and maybe he'd calm down once he had some food in his belly. A couple of nicer visitors among the boys cheered him a bit, though. One was a green that kept nipping at another boy's pants. Did she want to take them off him? He wasn't sure what a dragonet would want with pants, or what the boy would do without them. It wasn't like anyone could give him a spare pair here.
The other visitor was larger and less focused: the queen hatchling. He hadn't noticed her hatch, but she was a beauty, all pale and shining as she wove among the boys. Jaric almost wanted to reach out and stroke her as she glided past, but touching unbonded hatchling was generally a bad idea, no matter how nice she seemed now. He wondered what she was doing among the boys. Everyone knew that golds only Impressed to girls, so shouldn't she be looking among them? Maybe she just wanted to be admired for a bit.
Then the angry green started fighting again. What was that about? At least they seemed to be staying away from the Candidates, which Jaric supposed was nice of them. If they were doing it on purpose, anyway.

Another lull it appeared. Well sort of. The Gold was still prowling, the greens were still fighting, the blue was doing faranth knows what, same with a newly hatched green, a brown and apparently a now shattered egg and there was a green trying to get into a boys pants. Yep. Nothing going on here. She laughed at Vosin's suggestion. "Heeeyyyy yeah. Take it off!" She elbowed Vosin and winked. Jamarin may not be her type, but who knows what her new friend might have an ulterior motive for suggesting the boy to give in to the green's demands.
Zen nodded to Kylerr afterward and grinned. "Yep. Don't you see the family resemblance?" She joked pointing a finger between herself and the twins. There was no mistaking her for one of their family. Not with her nutty skin and straight black hair. She looked about as different from the redheaded siblings as a flit and a dragon.
"How's your friend doing?" He'd been the second one targeted by the nasty brown. Zen glanced behind them to see if the impressed boy was at the weyrling tables or if he'd been shuttled off to the infirmary. All she'd seen was a lot of blood.

Jamarin
He'd been happy to see his brother return to the group – something about Jikkiri made him think about safety in numbers – and he returned to the very pressing concern of a green dragon about the size of a canine who apparently wanted his pants.
Which he could not allow.
“Hey!” he said, dodging back, “Stop it! They're mine!” he said, giving the Gold a glare. Not helping he thought, angrily.
And then the Brown moved. Jamarin moved fast towards his brother, not sure what he was feeling. No, he was sure. Fear. He was scared. That shaffing brown had killed already and it had its sights on his brother.
The green, though, caught his pants enough to trip him in his forward rush. Jamarin fell to the sands, in time to see the massive beast wrap around his brother, eyes shimmering with rainbows and teeth sharp and snapping. “Jikki!” he called, sure he was going to see his twin destroyed, devoured, mauled. He struggled to his feet, only to be brought back down by that green, that shaffing green. He was about to deliver an ill-advised kick to the face when he realized that there were no screams, no blood... nothing.
He stared. “Jikki?” he said, quieter now.
