BrookM Couldn't find the teacup, so instead I decided to give her a wee salamander I had lying about, because why not? Why not make your own cup and plate in greenstuff or such? Sure, it'll have to be itty-bitty, but it'd be better than the salamander.

While I may be decent at kitbashing or converting, creating things from scratch is not my forté. sweatdrop However, some parts will be coming in some time this week for this model.

French mail is surprisingly fast. So, one quick order later and we've got us a teacup, add in a spare Kingdom Death hand to hold it, relocate the Salamander to the shoulder et voila, one tea sipping tank commander ready for tomorrow. I'm going to try and get her painted up, but no promises and all that, the usual really. I also decided to convert the model that came with the teacup, turning her into a Surgeon-Primus for the cohorts using a servo-arm set from Anvil Industry: Finally, Daunless is almost done, aside from the banner and some annoying tidying up:

Okay, second stage of Tank Shock is happening today, 1250 pts up against the Tau again and maybe a 30k Legiones Astartes army. Here's what I'll be bringing after a lot of tinkering and demented fine-tuning: HQAuxilia Tank Commander Josmaine (joins Leman Russ Vanquisher) - Tank Hunters Auxilia Tank Commander Mae (joins Malcador Heavy Tank) - Preferred Enemy (Infantry) TROOPSVeletaris Storm Section - Charnabal sabre Dracosan Armoured Transport - Armoured ceramite, auxiliary drive, flare shield FAST ATTACKLeman Russ Vanquisher - Armoured ceramite, extra armour HEAVY SUPPORTMalcador Heavy Tank - Armoured ceramite, demolisher cannon, siege armour, hunter-killer missile Malcador Infernus - Armoured ceramite, chemical ammunition This is mainly (hopefully) going to be an army that can punch my opponent in the face while denying him his most precious commodity: cover saves. It's a bit of a b*****d list, seeing as I'm fielding two lite super-heavies, but after the melta-spam of the last two games, I feel the need to step up and not hold back any more myself. Hopefully Josmaine will be able to score a kill or two again.

Rosehip is like a hyper-active Chihuahua, too stupid and aggressive to realize that she bites off more than she can chew, seeing as she's trying to pick a fight with just about anything out there, so she's not really a right fit for a more ponderous Malcador, which is more comparable to the Churchill or Matilda. I'm more thinking of putting her in an outflanking Leman Russ, which is a fast vehicle and more befitting of someone like her.
Huh, what's that over there? A Leman Russ kit and some spare bits left over from that Victoria Lamb order, plus a selection of spare heads? I wonder what I could do with those.. ninja
Anyway, had the battle today, I lost 17-1 or something like that, but I claim moral victory for scoring two kills with my aspiring tank ace, who now has three kills to her name. Just two more and she can claim ace status and all the perks that come with it.
The Infernus did well enough though and the Dracosan plus some of her passengers held out until the fifth turn before being blown away by what remained of the enemy army. Wish I could say the same for the Malcador itself, but alas, it underperformed a bit.
Overall, as far as my usual fights go, this wasn't a bad one though, plus I stuck to the overall theme like a champ.
Or a git.
Oh well, my opponent did not object to the tanks I brought along and found it a fun game, even lamenting that his own warlord was perhaps a bit too overpowered and too well tailored for the task at hand, taking out the Malcador, Infernus and the Dracosan in assaults, then surviving the resulting explosions with contemptuous ease. xd

Due to the weather and noisy family I didn't get much sleep last night, so instead I decided to get started on that Leman Russ and well.. decided to do some kitbashing as well while I was at it. The tracks, armoured skirts of the turret and potential track guards have been left off for post painting assembly. Kitbashed tank commander made up of parts from Victoria Miniatures, Kingdom Death and Tamiya for the headset. Decided to add an extra fuel tank to the rear and hooked it up to the engine, to represent the model being both fast and capable of outflanking. Kitbashed pintle-mounted multi-laser, complete with ammo feed and a holo sight from Anvil Industry.
