Shadow tilted his head slightly, examining the little guy. "He's kinda cute, I guess," he admitted grudgingly after a moment, not wanting to upset Trinity by causing a rift in the team. Besides, the guy was kinda cute, and tiny - him feeling so territorial was probably just a reflexive instinct or something... so why was there a little part of him that was tempted to slaughter the thing for being anywhere near Trinity?

Trinity smiled brightly at Shadow. Aster quietly said hello to the larger Pokémon. She then went off to train some more. Later, Trinity yawned as it got later. She leveled up her team not including Shadow. "Well time to get back to the city." She said tiredly to Shadow. The others were in their balls. She turned to walk back to the city. Soon they were back and she was at the Poke center. She got the others checked over before going over to their room. She let everyone out. Aster got settled on to the couch with Jet. Saph climbed up on to the couch too and curled in to his shell to sleep. Torch hopped on to the bed. Trinity changed in the bathroom in to her pajamas then went to the bed. "Night, guys." She said getting to sleep.

A little while in, Shadow began trembling in his sleep, once again in the throes of a nightmare as he instinctively curled up a little, Trinity's and Torch's presence quite possibly the only thing keeping him from thrashing around like normal.

Trinity was still asleep. She was snuggled up to Shadow's chest once more. Torch was awake along with most of the others. Jet and him were smirking at Shadow while Aster looked confused. They explained that Shadow has a minor crush on Trinity. Aster understood then, he then shrugged and hoped for the best for the Lucario. Saph was still sleeping. Trinity nuzzled Shadow's chest in her sleep with a smile.
Fortunately, that seemed to do the trick, Shadow instinctively calming down as he felt Trinity's head against his chest, completely oblivious to the fact that the strange fear-inducing aura about him was rapidly dwindling until his Aura felt the same as any other Lucario's (albeit darker).

Torch poked Shadow without disturbing Trinity, "Hey, Shadow. Trinity is really comfortable on your chest." He whispered in the other's ear. Trinity snuggled even more in the plush fur proving Torch's statement.
However, Shadow was fast asleep; amusingly enough, his arms instinctively wrapped around Trinity protectively, one might even say possessively. Maybe their bodies were trying to tell them something?

Torch shrugged, "Well I tried. Any one else wants a try?" He asked the group. Jet thought about something then Aster came up with something, "How about the little one?"He said. Jet smirked evilly before picking up the sleeping baby Pokémon. Saph tiredly woke up. He saw Shadow still sleeping. He poked Shadow in the cheek. He then started to play with his ears and dread-looking things. Saph always wanted to play with them. Aster, Jet, and Torch were all silently laughing.
Fortunately for them, Shadow STILL didn't wake up; probably a good thing, since he'd probably maim them for setting Saph on - Oh, wait, nope, he's awake; Saph tugged a little too hard on one of the head appendages. Cue twitch and glare at all non-baby Pokémon involved, though Shadow made sure to forgo the killing intent this time; he didn't want to spook Saph again, after all. He'd have gotten up to maim/slaughter them, but he didn't want to disturb Trinity's sleep. "Saph," he "whispered" to the turtle gently but firmly, "I'm sure playing with my ears and head-appendages is fun and all, but I'm afraid I need to sleep." He got a small smirk on his face, adding, "Why don't you go play with Torch and Jet? I hear Spearow and Torchic make funny noises when their tail feathers are plucked. And Aster's got nice big ears to play with, too."

Saph blinked, "Wreally? Aster's ears do look funny." He said looking voer to the others. He then looked at Trinity, "Is human mama going to wake up soon?" He asked Shadow. Trinity woke up a minute after his question. She took one look at Saph hold of Shadow's head appendages, "Saph, you are just too adorable." She said pulling him in for a hug. She got up stretching her arms. "Everyone ready to get breakfast? We are taking on the gym today." She said excited. Torch and Saph cheered.
Shadow similarly sat up and nodded as he discreetly massaged his poor ears and head-appendages (Saph had been rather rough with them), only the faintest of smirks on his face and a predatory gleam in his eyes indicating how excited he was for the battle. Hopefully the gym leader wouldn't disappoint.

Trinity walked to the bathroom and changed. She was tying her bandana as she walked out. Saph was on her shoulder so he had went with her. The trainer lead her pokemon to the cafeteria in the Poke center. The food was cheap but filling. She ordered for everyone. She took two trips bringing their food to a table. Jet, Torch and Aster happily started to eat as Trinity fed Saph.
Shadow similarly started eating, helping Trinity get the food to the table and enjoying the meal quite a bit as he ate with his Trainer and fellow Pokémon.

Trinity are her breakfast then looking over the others to make sure they ate well. Once they all are, Trinity recalled all but Shadow. She walked through the city to the gym. Looking over the large building, the young trainer walked in. Another trainer stopped re saying she would have to defeat him before getting to Gym Leader, Brock. The trainer spent out Diglett. Trinity sent out Saph. "Tackle, Saph." Trinity said calmly.
Shadow watched the battle for a bit, giving a small smirk when it became clear that Saph had it covered. He allowed his eyes to wander, soon spotting what was probably the Gym Leader in the back of the room and smirking slightly wider; from what he could see, the man had a quiet confidence to him. Yes, this trainer was definitely strong enough to be worth his time. He focused back on the battle, not wanting to miss too much of the beatdown.
