"Of course we finished. I always finish, and make sure everyone else does too. If memory serves, Ves finished several times. There is no way ghost Ves is my fault." He was indignant.

(Three days is quick?)"Right then..." Minty had the decency to look embarrassed at the sudden tmi, "So Cae spirit or weredeer? Or some unfinished business Ves isn't telling us about? Maybe we have to find her killer."

"Did I walk in on something I shouldn't have?" The teen stands awkwardly nearby, looking confused by all this 'finish/finishing' talk. "What were you two finishing?"

Ves probably would have thought he was being cute, except she was currently pretty sure she didn't really want to go any further down that road, especially not in public. Because, other than deer mating season, she was pretty sure the entire population did not need to know what went on. "No one was saying it's your fault. No one even was going near the little death pun, I swear!" Okay, maybe she couldn't help herself, and so she chewed on her bottom lip while she thought, mostly to stop herself from saying anything else.
"I don't think that's it, no..." Ves replied, albeit with an unsure tone of her voice, "Maybe I need the kiss of true love~" Ves's eyebrows waggled with all of her eyebrow-waggling-might.
However, that's when Ves noticed a third person had decided to join them, and immediately screeched, throwing herself backwards in surprise, which basically did nothing because she was a ghost. Which was a good thing, considering how clumsy she was. "Nothing. Nothing at all. You don't worry about a thing." And then, for an added measure of comfort, Ves floated behind Velvet, peering over his shoulder with a soft whine.

"I only finished you, I didn't finish you. And if I did I wouldn't eat you. That's for damn sure. Not a necrophile over here. Strictly into the living flesh." He patted the general area of her head when she hid behind him, "There there, it's just a girl. Although I'm hard pressed to understand how there can possibly be a teenager who doesn't get sex jokes. It's the raging hormones. Who are you?"
He squinted at the newcomer, suspicious.

"Oh, that was what you were talking about?" She raises an eyebrow at the hiding ghost, "What happened to her?"

Velvet's back and rear end, at least, gave her a mighty fine view, though Ves was distressed to find out she couldn't sneak a grope of his butt. What a shame; such a waste of a perfectly good opportunity. "And bad influences," she spoke in a hushed tone, namely because that was probably where the entirety of her knowledge came from.
"Velvet, maybe you should... be careful?" Okay, she probably didn't need to worry about Velvet, but that doesn't mean that she wouldn't.

"Yes, that is what we were talking about, miss. You still haven't told us who you are. But the one released from the mortal coil is Vesraen, better known as Ves, the testy pink-haired one is Minty and I'm known as Velvet." He pointed to each in turn, "Careful? Of what, Ves dear?"

"Psssssssssssssst." Ves leaned in a little closer, "Minty's not the testy one. Though her hair is fabulously pink." Her sulky tone only lasted for a while, before it was infused with a touch of confusion. Could she be remembering wrong? No, not at all... "Just... be careful, okay? You know, don't decide to go sleep with someone and then get nice and relaxed or anything. Yeah." Her eyes narrowed at the new woman--- she mentally replaced it with "Genevieve"--- and she couldn't shake the memories of her death.

"Your loyalty is admirable, Ves, but you have to admit Minty gets testy from time to time." He whispered back, "Hello, Genevieve. Sorry we couldn't meet under better circumstances, but it seems we have a murder mystery on our hands."

She giggled slightly as her friends spoke so wildly of ribbons and royals, wondering if perhaps this was the same way that their friend The Rose Prince had acquired his royal title. It was a rather amusing thought, and seemed surprisingly plausible. She then looked up at Minty, realising that she was being addressed. "There used to be a lovely, little tea shop near of my home, when I first moved in. Back then, I did not go outside all that often, so whenever I ran out of supplies, I rather took the safe and short walk down the street, than going all the way to the store. And the owner of the store was a charming, old man, whom I have had many interesting conversations with, over the years. But in time, he decided to draw back, and let his nephew take over after him. But before he left, he made sure to write down my address, and now he sends me all sorts of lovely tea, which he finds during his travels." She spoke so very kindly of the man, as she dreamed back to that cramped, little place, that somehow always smelled of freshly brewed tea, as if he'd known just when to expect visitors.

She frowns slightly at Ves, "I can't tell if you're suspicious he'll sleep with me or are just a really weird ghosty..." Her eyes snap back to Velvet when he speaks again, "...Uh, murder..?"

"I'm not a dog," she replied with a pout, before quietly adding, "I'm a deer, if anything..." And then she realized that that was about as far from the point as she could get, perking up a little. "Minty is amazing. Hell, I'm pretty damn testy most days, I don't think she ranks anywhere near close to me on that regard." But then she watched with curiousity when Genevieve seemed to completely and totally mistake her concern, which only managed to confuse the poor spirit even further. "To be honest, I don't particularly care who he sleeps with, especially since, you know, I'm dead and all. He should just... be careful. Very careful. Lest he wake up dead. With distinct memories of, you know, an attack."
