LuLu gasped. Shock caused a hand to fly up to her mouth. Her fingertips clamped tightly to muffle the peeps or squeaks she could not hold back. The human looked so embarrassed over her predicament. LuLu could not help but feel some pity for the woman.
Lavender eyes shot from one end of the beach to other in order to ensure their privacy. Of course, Dou's explanation was a bit far fetched. The idea of a watermelon taking up residence in a person's belly was beyond extraordinary. However, it was harder for the rabbit to fathom the human lying to her. The serious tone sealed the deal. LuLu responded amazed, "Is it hard to move around? Does it hurt?" Fear suddenly lit her features, "What is it keeps growing?! WILL YOU DIE?!" At this rate, the sigel was quite obviously a few seconds away from a panic attack. "There has to be a way to get it out!"

Before she left, Anita offered Ian a quick wave; she seemed to be on a mission for the drinks booth. The croc hummed at Ethiriel's offered kiss. It bloomed warm on his cheek and made forgetting about his little fallout with Justin easier, for the time being. Cruz thanked her and slid the lightly sanded DS into her free hand as Caroline got her call to leave. Cruz blinked at the two humans and offered a small wave, then set out to do what he'd aimed to from the start.
His fingers coaxed out small pebbles and broken shells from the sand, combing and threading and pushing grains away. He didn't know precisely what he was looking for, just something with a nice texture that wasn't sharp so Ethiriel might accidentally hurt herself.
Ian continuing to address them came as no surprise but Cruz only barely split his attention; he'd had so many distractions already and little success. ”I'm Cruz,” he glanced up briefly, then offered Ethiriel's arm a gentle pat, ”Thiriel.” Cruz paused, then, as he overturned a shell that might have been decent. He returned his attention to the man and offered a short but genuinely pleasant smile, ”Nice to meet you.”

Kris had to cover another laugh at the nymph's continued antics, glancing out over the beach while Justin and Winona talked. She caught sight of Ronan chasing after Maili and she could tell it wasn't entirely in play.
"I think I'm going to go meet up with my party, thanks for the offer though!" she said. A few more moments were spent at the buffet enjoying the rest of the food, her eventually getting up and going down to the beach, toes catching on a shell as she waded into the water.

Justin thanked Kris one last time and began loping down the the beach, nymph carefully carried. The wee beastie's wrath was anoying, and Justin really didn't want to anger yet another person today. Winona had come with him so that was nice, at least."Hi, I'm Justin. I, uh, don't really do beach things, so I guess... out of my element too a bit." He laughed sheepishly, then waved as they neared the beach. Cruz was there... but so was Ian and another raevan he didn't recognize. Might as well be friendly.
"How can you not do the beach? You're fair boring!" Justin took a deep breath. And another. And ignored the squeaky little voice coming from his hand. "Winona, how'd you get started hanging out with these Lab guys?" He smiled and only winced a tiny bit when the nymph poked him. Slanting his eyes down at Ryleigh, he wrinkled his nose. "Now that we're here.. do you want shore or just... tossed into the ocean?"
"Ocean. Let the fair lady do it, please. Manhands," Ryleigh hissed. Rolling his eyes, he proffered the nymph to Winona. He was going to breathe easier the sooner he left. Maybe he'd even go back to the bar, find an uncrowded spot and play a silly game or two. He patted his pocket. His empty pocket. s**t. "What? Where's my DS?"

Instantly the redhead felt bad for the trick she'd played on the bun, biting her lip in an attempt not to guffaw at her horrified expression.
Finally the woman couldn't hold it in anymore an she let out a bright laugh, reaching out to rest her hand on Lulu's upper arm in a comforting motion. "Lulu, I'm sorry, it was a joke! I'm having a baby. Another little human. Surely you've seen babies before?"
Doe's blue eyes searched the sigel's lavender ones, waiting for the words to sink in, hoping for a memory of a woman cradling a child or a new born in a pram to spark in the girl's mind. "It's how human's reproduce. We...grow them inside of us." The words were a little awkward, stumbled over slowly as she tried to find the proper terms without being too technical. If Lulu thought there was serious threat of a watermelon growing inside her, then Josh was much further behind than she'd assumed.

”A pleasure,” Ethiriel nodded as Cruz made her introductions for her. She appreciated it greatly as she lifted her head up from her bow. She held Justin’s DS carefully in her hand, unaware of what it was or that its owner wanted it, but a flash of silver hanging on a chain came swinging in her direction – Henry.
”Ethiriel! Cruz!” the nurse called out. His expression was grim and he looked to the croc apologetically. ”Something’s come up at the hospital; we’ve got to go. I’m so sorry,” he pleaded, carefully taking Eth’s arm from her companion’s and guiding her away. ”I’ll set up a thing with Anita later and you two can hang out in private. I’m so sorry.” He then offered the DS to Cruz.
Luckily for them they hadn’t unpacked much or become too invested in conversation, but it didn’t make Henry feel any better about just up and leaving as it was. He would have to make it up to Cruz and whoever else was necessary.

LuLu's cheeks went ablaze as her embarrassment sunk in. The rabbit was completed mortified! She nearly crawled under a rock until Dou began explaining the joke to her.
The sigel nodded slowly. "Yes, the small humans. The chubby ones." Of course she had seen a baby and she certainly had heard one. It was unfathomable how something so small could be so loud. The rabbit carefully drew out her words,"It grows..." In that way it was like a watermelon after all. Yet, the human did not seem worried about having something growing within her so LuLu decided it was nothing to make a fuss over.... for now.
She could ask how the baby got there another day. Or how it would get out.
Her eyes crinkled as she smiled at Dou. "Make sure your baby gets plenty of water so it will grow well Miss Dou. I hope they grow strong and healthy."

"I've just stumbled into all of this." Winny sighed, stretching out her arms to embrace the sun. A soft tan had already begun to kiss her shoulders. It was clear by the way her hands became restless upon the frames of her glasses that she was very aware of tan lines. The gentle request for her palms quickly stole her attention.
Winny cupped her hands, startled by the weight of the pointy creature in her palms. She smiled gingerly for the sea-fairy, beaming at the complement. "You have excellent manners." She quipped, lowering herself onto the sand and hissing at the cold waves that rolled over her knees. Oblivious to Justin's concern, Winny dipped the nymph into the water, reluctant to let him go.
