I went for a study abroad trip that was shortened and two weeks pretty much the week before Spring Break and Spring Break. We went to like ten different businesses over there and learned how they did business. Although Barcelona was amazing. There was a strip of bars and it was supposedly like a square and we only made it like halfway through the first line XD. All sorts of different animes. I've been trying get my fiance into them so I started with some I knew he would like. Fairy Tail and SAO for instance because it's an amazing anime. There's also FMA: Brotherhood, Bleach, Soul Eater, Pokemon, Digimon, I've seen a few Kill La Kill, Kaze no Stigma, Dragonball series, Sailor Moon, I'm sort of getting back into One Piece, Naruto, Naruto Shippuden, and there's a few others but I don't remember them all off the top of my head. The specialized fields I didn't know about those. It's just there's like tens of thousands of Kanji it's pretty insane lol.

Have you seen Attack on Titan? I think I might give that one a shot because it's really popular right now. People are loving it. There are! But kanji are so...beautiful. *_*

But kanji are so...beautiful. *_* Well Kill La Kill and Kaze no Stigma are on Netflix right now. KLK is only in Japanese but KnS can be in English. I don't really know what really is the plot of KLK cause I watched it months ago with a friend and saw like maybe three episodes and they were in the middle of the season so I need to rewatch it. But it just came out last year's anime season. Kaze no Stigma is about a magic user who was born into a fire elemental magic family but couldn't do fire magic so got exiled pretty much but eventually learns wind magic and comes back to help out when needed for money and is training the new head of his family. It's an interesting anime. I have heard about AoT and seen a few episodes but I personally don't like it. I want to look into Blue Exorcist though. Yeah AoT just started getting dubbed so it's the new everyone wants to cosplay it this season anime. My teacher showed us a video that's supposedly the hardest kanji to write and supposedly only a select few can actually write it and that was so complex that I just looked at it and was like uh......

Does it remind you of Avatar/Legend of Korra at all because of the elemental stuff? I'm a fan of those two shows. Oh man. That sounds scary. .__. But you know what's super scary? Our inconsistent spelling system in English. Japanese people must have nightmares having to learn our language in school lol.

I mean sort of but they really don't have to do all the stances that they benders do in Avatar. I like those two as well season 3 of Korra was just released biggrin Yeah it was pretty scary. Our inconsistent also doesn't help that the UK spells them different as well. Color vs. Colour. Although they usually learn English from a young age so it's easier because learning a language is easier when you're younger.

The brain is more malleable when you're young. I read this book on neuroplasticity and they have found that when you're young and learning a new language, that new information is stored in the part of your brain where your primary language is, but if you're older it's in a completely different part of the brain. ._.

Yeah it just started so idk where you left off but you have a little catching up to do.

Wow ... I tried to read all of the intro posts, I swear, but I'm not entirely here today ...
So! I'm Red, and yes, I do have red hair in rl. I've been a nerd and proud of it since 1997, though I resisted the appellation 'geek' until '06. I've been involved in text roleplay for more than 15 years now, which makes me feel old, and tabletop and LARP for 7. For various reasons I'm on a few different medications that work on my brain, so on the rare occasion I forget a dosage or take it late, things get screwy for a while ...
So, yeah, I got invited to join, so I did.
I'm also a PC gamer, from Luxor to Elder Scrolls to Assassin's Creed. I love music - listening and playing. I pick up instruments easily, and have been reading music for as long as I've been reading words - two decades. And change. And there it is again, I feel old.
I love reading books, and the entire reason I became attached to the tablet my sister gave me - her old one - was the fact I could carry all the books I have e-copies of, all the time, since my favourite books ... well, they take up an entire bookshelf.
Yes, I do have a lot of free time on my hands, mainly due to the fact that the various reasons I'm on medication add up to me not being able to get a job, let alone hold one down ... I was assessed as having a full disability. To the extent that they told me I don't need reassessment. Ever.
Since from what I was able to focus on, this sorta stuff's already being discussed on this thread, I'm told I count as demisexual - that is, I need a relationship before I'm more than vaguely interested.
Also, regards religion, I'm pagan. The precise deity I worship is private, though I'm perfectly willing to discuss my religion in generalities. My grandma, who raised me until I was 10, was rather surprised to learn that she hadn't, in fact, raised me to be christian, but to question.
And now that I've touched on pretty much everything, I'll go back to what I was doing before.

They call him a polyglot. He is famous for speaking more languages at that age than anyone else in the world. I am so jelly. >_>

What is your favourite series?
Welcome! I'm so happy to have you. Heyo, I'm in Beyond the Sunset, which used to be the Camarilla - the White Wolf games. That's separated into Vampire, Werewolf, Mage, Changeling, and Hunter, though I don't think many people actually play Hunter. I haven't been able to attend much lately, with my meds changing, but I'm in the process of making a werewolf character, since we're starting that up. It's kinda awesome, being part of a worldwide LARP, and I could have started playing the Werewolf char by distance, but I prefer to be able to meet with my pack in person. When we had a Werewolf storyteller last time, I kept having the rest of the pack over for coffee, every week, to discuss downtimes and just plain get to know each other, even though we only play once a month. And wow, I didn't mean to go on like that. Anyway, my favourite series ... didja miss the part where my favourites take up an entire set of shelves? I guess the list of series on that set of shelves'll hafta do. Honor Harrington, Bahzell, Safehold, The Dark Tower, Wheel of Time, Discworld, Paladin of Shadows, Lord of the Rings, Liveship Traders, The Deed of Paksenarrion, the Nightrunner Series ... Then there's a whole lotta standalones ... eclectic, much? -Red.

Hello again, all!
I'm back, as opposed to the not all here from earlier in the week, which ha me doing lotsa stuff ... like going over all my posts to make sure I didn't say anything too stupid. Luckily enough, it looks like the worst I did was ramble, babble and be generally random.
Only thing I think I should say that I didn't earlier, is that when I'm commiserating with someone, or offering advise on a situation, I tend to say what experience I have that seems relevant. That isn't me trying to one-up, it's me letting you know that it isn't random advise, and also where I'm coming from on the issue. Just, you know, so it's out there. Some people take offense when I do it, until I tell them that.
