Comments/Extra Info: This was my first time using acrylics to paint an Easter egg. I really like the richness of the colors I was able to get. The gold markings were tribal and celtic inspired while the blue down the back was meant to mimic scales. I also made the little gold dragon that is holding the egg, way back in high school art class.
Work in progress photos: It's a very simple egg so there isn't much to show, but anyways...
The dying process. It takes a lot of very slowly turning the egg so the color gets spread all the way around without splashing too much. Still need the napkin for more than just my name though! Always spill or get it on me, haha...

I didn't have a lot of time this last few weeks, but I always help my mom to dye eggs for the braided bread she makes. Unfortunately, it burned kind of horribly. New pan, new oven, lessons learned. I like getting the really bright colors, like the red one I picked, and getting the color to be pretty uniform. Everyone else in my family seems to make mottled pink eggs, which would be cooler if it were intentional.
Preferred Gender for Semi-Customs: Male, especially for a mini, but mares are nice too so if a colorist feels more inclined to make a mare then that's fine with me too.

Comments/Extra Info: Yea forgot to take pictures of the dipping of eggs but in principal first draw with wax on the egg and dip in colours from lighter to darker. Still need to find out how to get black colour.
