"It's fine. You didn't know that talking to me would cause that to happen" she said and nodded when he pulled over. She got out of the car and despite her pain she attempted to stretch her arms a little.

Michael got out and stretched. He looked around and sighed them smiled. It felt good to actually get out of the town they lived in. He walked to the front of his car and leaned against it. "Have you ever thought of learning self-defense?" He asked her.

Alyssa looked around and looked at him when asked her a question. She put some hair behind her ear and nodded. "Yeah I did but he's a lot bigger than I am and it's hard to try and defend yourself all the time when you live with the person"she said.

Michael looked over at Alyssa. "True. But with Judo, size doesn't matter. The only sucky part is that you lived with him." He told her then gently pat a spot on the hood next to him. "If you want, come with me to the gym sometime. They have a self defense class as well as a Judo class. He thought for a moment. "I can teach you a few things myself." He told her.

Alyssa walked over to him and sat down on the hood next to him. "Okay I'll try it but when my body is healed" she said and smiled though. She would enjoy a chance to become strong and be able to take care of herself.

Michael nodded. That would be best for Alyssa. "Okay. Do you want me to skip the gym today? Just incase a*****e figures out where you are?" He asked, figuring her step-sister saw them leave school together earlier.

"Or if you don't want to skip I could just go watch you or just sit down somewhere while you workout" she said. She was fine with either really she just didn't want to be alone.

"I like your idea better." Micheal said with a warm smile. "You'll be able to check out the self-defense and Judo classes." He told her then checked his watch. "Wow. The day has gone by pretty quickly." He said and showed her the time. It was just after three in the afternoon.

Alyssa smiled and nodded. "Okay" she said. "Really?" She said and looked at his watch. "Wow it really did" she said. "Do you want to go back to town already?" She asked him.

"No. Not yet. Unless you want to." Michael said as he glanced over at Alyssa. He then looked back at the beach. "Want to go for a walk down the beach?" He asked her.

Alyssa shook her head. "No I like it here" she said and looked at the beach. She smiled and nodded. "I would like that" she said and got off of the hood and waited for him so that they could go walking.

Michael got up, slipped his hands into his pockets and walked next to Alyssa along the boardwalk. He looked around and smiled. He forgot how much he oved going for walks.

Alyssa smiled as they walked. She felt more free then she had in a long time. She was smiling, she could actually enjoy the warmth of the sun on her skin, the slight breeze and glimmer of the water. It was amazing to her and she loved it. She felt like she had no worries.

Michael smiled when he glanced over and saw how happy and relaxed Alyssa looked. It actually felt good to make someone else smile and he wanted to see more of it. "I love walking dead an by the beach. It helps me relax." He said as they continued down the boardwalk.

Alyssa looked at him as she walked listening to him talk. "I don't think I've ever been to the beach before" she said now that she thought about it. She had only swam in a pool before. "It's really pretty" she said and smiled again.
