McCowboy returned to the flock of flamingos, who at this point were running for their lives hoping they wouldn't get picked and sent to the death of McCowboy's hands. He grabbed another normal boring flamingo who was trying to escape him and its own death sentence. McCowboy swung once more and - hit! All four targets were complete. He didn't let the flamingo die, so he returned to it's flock in its unconscious state. The hedge maze was a slight comfort over the oppressive feeling in the dungeons. UT walked along slowly her eyes and ears open to anything that might sound worrisome. Of course listening for sounds of distress she was bound to hear them and she followed the long tragic sighs because she really didn't have much recourse. Finally she came to an open field that defied the physical limitations of the hedge-maze, as most things in Wonderland managed to do.
She saw two figures a few paced away one scrying about not being a turtle, the other was holding a...flamingo? Gracious but what a peculiar sight, and to add to the oddity of it all she raised it and swung at a spiky looking ball only to complain about losing it. The two carried on in argument before they both turned to her.

Oh dear, they meant her didn't they? UT frowned and walked a bit closer croquet? A quest, they wanted her to play?
"Well I can certainly try..."
She walked over blinking at the array of flamingos, hedgehog balls, and quite a number of card squires.

Well if she wanted to play, and she wasn't certain she did mind you, she would need a flamingo. As UT approached the flamingos however she felt a bit apprehensive. They eyed her with beady brown gazes that seemed to warn her how little they enjoyed being used. She slowly walked over trying to look casual and non-threatening.
Her hand shot out and she grabbed one almost toppling herself in the process. When she dragged the flamingo to one side she realized she'd grabbed a rather large one. UT stared at the Chunky Bird for a long moment, it didn't look so much like a flamingo as a pink ball on stilts. She decided to keep her unkind opinion of the bird to herself and moved on.
Picking up a hedgehog she winced a bit at the p***k and then she gave the card squired a faint grin. Let the game begin.

UT listened to the wanna be turtle and the gryphon go on about how the Queen used to play and how tragic the cards reshuffling had been. She tried to offer sympathetic nods when she could and then she was being shouted at to get on with it.
Professionals...well she was NOT a professional. She raised her chunky grunting flamingo and swung...nothing, her swing didn't even touch the hedgehog.

Elsewhere, perhaps before his Tavern run. Green found his way into the hedge maze, most likely drawn by the sound of pitiful sighs and raised voices and squabble. He had resigned himself to one side, letting the little exchange play out with a small smirk on his face while leaning gently against one of the tall bushes.
But his post was obviously noticed when one of the NPC turned its attention towards him and told them of their little quest. Well, nothing too wrong with one of those, he mused to himself as he left his spot of leaning and gathered himself up between the two characters. He let them lead, and lead they did to a very large field filled with wild looking flamingos and decks of cards.
It dawned on him what might be happening. "Aa, dude. Is this going to be like that game?" Well this was certainly more challenging than it had first appeared. She lifted the flamingo again and then swung only to spin and barely touch the hedgehog. Perhaps a little too enthusiastic. She could feel the disapproval coming off her flamingo in waves.

All signs were pointing to yes, it seemed, as Green was ushered towards the flock of interesting looking flamingos. All running a little rampant, and some more than others. Which made it a little difficult at first to catch one for this task. A few seemed a bit slow on the uptake, making him not sure if he wanted one exactly. And a few ran when he looked their way.
Eventually, the Gryphon got his hands on a Bewildered Bird. Both flamingo and player looked so utterly confused at what had transpired and how it actually came to be. But, it seemed like they were going to just roll with it.
