Baking? Gene was very much interested in baking! She wasn't the best baker in the school by any means (that honor, in her mind, was Xiu's), but she'd need to learn enough to cover Xiu if she were ever out.

Had somebody followed him inside? Mathias hadn't even noticed. In fact, even when Helmut found a seat right next to his, he still had no idea that she was even there. He was too busy trying to avoid eye contact with anybody in the room, and so, when she leaned towards him with a loud hissing sound meant to get his attention, he jumped in his seat, his feathers ruffling up and his ears standing rigidly on end.
And then he groaned, because Helmut no why.
"I have noticed, pest." He hissed back, refusing to turn his head towards her and staring adamantly straight forward, though now his hands gripped the front of his desk. "It is most everywhere it seems."
At the mention of her home.
"If you are liking it so, maybe you should go home."
He crossed his arms over his chest, huffing through his nose, and was ready to leave the conversation at that, when somebody nudged against his shoulder.
"........." He slowly turned his head to the side, eyes carefully shifting to see who it was.
"Jove!" He grinned happily, his face transforming from one of discontent to excitement. "Vould like to bake spookies too, nah? Vas thinking of you vhen deciding to take class." But it seemed his friends attentions were wandering elsewhere, and he carefully followed his gaze, before deciding it was too risky and staring straight ahead again.
"Should maybe be starting soon." The classroom was really filling up!
He pressed the reset button again and this time fed the dragon food piece by piece, carefully watching the thermometer. When he reached the goal, he stopped and took a seat back at the counter.
It was time to pay attention, or at least to the best of his abilities. It involved quite a bit of just listening without actually watching, his ears twitching and swivelling to follow the sound of the teachers voice.
So to start with, they would be required to feed some type of oven dragon? It seemed simple enough and Mathias slid himself out of his desk, finding himself an unattended oven, giving Jove a light pat on the back on his way by.
Oh right. He needed some candy, too.
Mathias found the source and loaded up his clawed hands before making his way back to the oven. Lifting up a booted foot, he first attempted to kick it open, but to no avail. Next came bending forwards and attempting to hook his antlers against the oven door handle, and then backed up while bending down more.
Success! He was so clever. Mathias took a moment to revel in his own cleverness.
Ok back to work. Eyeing the dragon inside, he muttered. "Please to not be burning me. I vill give you most tasty treat." Before tossing a handful of said candies inside.
He watched the temperature gauge carefully, then threw in a few more for good measure, until finally....
He smirked and shut the oven door, popping the leftover candies into his mouth like snot corn. Clever and a dragon master. Yes Mathias was most awesome indeed.
Aki smiled at the pat, nodding a bit as he was told he could keep the ribbon. "Fehstev yeh?" He'd heard that word tossed around a bit. Sadly, their chat was interrupted by class starting... and an odd display from the teacher...
What was so odd about a dragon in an oven? "Ah lahk dragahns!" He didn't know why, but he did. It was kind of cute and felt good to be near it... so..? So it was good. Actually he was a bit excited to feed his dragon some treats as it was, it had to be hungry right?
So with that in mind he scampered over to his oven and quickly began the task of trying to feed the thing. And... all went well. It seemed happy with it's meal and well... he even got to pat it on the head. "Gahd dragahn~!" He was essentially scratching it's chin when he noticed the commotion nearby as others were... not so lucky with their scaled friends. He gave it one last pat before closing the door and staring. "Ah nah nah nah!" One of them was yelling, yes there was blood, but if you yelled then he'd get scared right?
The little dragon didn't understand. "Et jahs wans a snahk dun beh angreh!" Because then... if they yelled... then wouldn't it get more scared? Wouldn't things get worse? At least... that was the feeling Akakios got from it all. He briefly glanced from the dragon ghoul to Petro and Trisha, hoping they'd help explain it. He was right... right?

West smirked at her accusation, not bothering to justify what they both knew was a lie. In a show of self-preservation, he also wisely steered clear of any more talk of her mouth or tongue, at least for the moment.
"What I been cookin's a secret. We'll hafta see who bakes who an' where they do it, now won't we?" The boil might not have turned on his own oven for the past eight months, but he was well aware of how tricky and deviant teachers could be. If these Christmas imports were half as soulless as their Amityville counterparts, there would be no telling who might create something delicious under their tutelage and who would get eaten by a skittershark. These things had nothing to do with skill. That didn't mean he lacked the desire to win. In the end, he'd mostly just been looking to coax her into a competition, and coax her he had. No matter how indifferent he might have been toward beating almost anyone else, challenging Levi was always worth his time. Even if he lost, he ended up winning in the long run.
Very near to turning another grin her way, he instead quieted when this Miss Jubilee began to speak, shaking his head when she introduced Hel. He hadn't seen the reaper hiding there in the shadows, and from what happened next, he was pretty sure the gingerbread woman wished she had never seen the ghoul either. His arms went lax at his sides once again when their first task was set and he rose to his feet, his tail slipping from hers for the time being. While minipets seemed to love him, dragons were more the tatzel's bag. His interrupted smirk made another appearance as he looked at her. "C'mon."
Soon, the class began. Thanks to the gingerbread guest, he now knew that there were small dragons in some special ovens. He wondered the one he got from black market had one in it or not. Cookies, a subject that he practiced to bake in his leisure time was not a first thing to explore. Xiu was a great teacher. He smiled throughout the demonstration of their guest lecturer politely, after all she's a lady, right? However, everything went aborted when she yelled she was "overcooked". The first time he laughed out was when Hel being called a little girl. He wondered if the gingerbread lady would call him little boy.
Getting along with another dragon never a difficult task for him, especially when he was with one since he was born. Peeking at his own oven, he could see a pair of tiny shinny eyes. He grinned and greeted it. "Hello there. I heard you like candies? I brought some nice one from the famous candy shop, wanna try?". "Hey hey, hellow buddy, I am a dragon too, does my reindeer headband looks nice?" The bells on its necks were tinkling a lovely chime to show his happiness.
Knelt in the same eye level as the oven dragon, he started feeding the cute little new friend while talking with it. "Isn't it good? Bro loves it a lot, but it won't mind to share good things with its new friend, I guess." No singeing, no scartch marks, just a warm moment of dragons. "I guess your favourite is actually gingerbread cookies, right?" Seeing how the dragon in another oven attempted to bake Jubilee and thought she needed to cook a little bit more, AJ inferred that this little critters must love gingerbread cookies to death. "I can give you some after this class?" He beamed, baking was always fun, and a legit class to bake, the best. He left his eyes a while and checked the thermometer, um....what was it again? oh yup, 175. There we go! He stopped feeding the cute little thing as he said it had to leave some spaces for the cookies later.
He raised his hand up like a good student and waited until the duo came closer. First, he made a greeting to Hel. "Nice to see you here, dear! Would you mind being my taster after this?" Then he turned to Jubilee. "Miss, can I bring the little thing home after this? Or - you are bringing them back to your homeland?" He doubted that the lady would like to risk to be overcooked again, but he really wanted to stay longer with this cute little dragon, it's perfect for his little oven.
Taking it as an excuse, he grabbed onto his target ever since the class started, a fluffy student with fluffy ears and fluffy tail. Would his name be Fluffy as well? He hoped. "Hey cutie, do you agree they are cute too? You seem have a good time with yours." He grinned like a big brother. He won't mind having a little fluffy brother, after having a cute little witch.

Miss, AJ has a question & he gets along well with dragon buddies. Also, first roll.
"Come on in! We're just getting started~" Jubilee smiled at a latecomer, giving the girl a small wave.
Carhop Cavalier
Some of the students seemed to be natural-born oven dragon handlers, and Jubilee was very impressed with how fast they got the ovens preheated... Although she was also a little envious, seeing how her first attempt to do anything with the ovens almost got her overbaked. Ah, hopefully they wouldn't think that she was being unprofessional.
"Great job!" She replied Tink, nodding approvingly with a bright smile as she cried a single tear... In her heart.
