Once they arrived at the police station, Asher stopped in front of the door. "Well, Leo, here we are," he announced with a sigh. "Just tell them what you know and hope that it'll help." With that, they walked through the doors, where a receptionist was, looking very troubled and concerned. Perhaps he was thinking about the missing woman. "May I help you, kids?" said the receptionist as he flipped through some files.

Leo nodded and proceeded into the building where he could hear phones ringing off the hook, fax machines, copiers, printers, people typing on keyboards. So many noises and not enough time to figure out which ones were coming from what. He quickly ignored all of those noises and proceeded to the one which sounded like the receptionist. Leo put his hands on the counter. "I have news about the missing girl with the red hair! I saw her! She's being held captive in a room somewhere with concrete floors and she's really hurt!" he said worriedly, hoping that his statement would be believable enough for them to continue to listen to him.

The receptionist raised an eyebrow and just shook his head. "Kid, you've probably been watching—er... listening to too many crime movies or something," he said, moving a hand dismissively. "This is serious business. We don't have time to waste with your... visions." He expected the brothers to leave or start laughing, but it seemed like the younger was serious. Asher somehow knew this would happen. "Look, sir, I know it's hard to believe, but my brother is telling the truth," he said, not wanting Leo to feel alone on this. "Just listen to him. He might help you find the missing woman." The man at the counter just looked even more annoyed. "Seriously? This is not a game! Get out of here before I kick you out!"

How could they not listen to him? He couldn't believe the police were this ignorant. "I know it's not a game!!! I'm not having visions, I saw it in my dreams! I'm telling you I can help!!!" Leo yelled as he completely lost his temper. Leo shoved a hand in his pocket and pulled out the sketch he drew. "Look! I drew this after the dream I had an hour ago! This is the woman I saw, and I drew this before I saw the news broadcast. I'm not making this up!!" He growled, demanding he be heard and taken seriously.

The man was not amused nor fazed by the drawing. "Look, kid, I'm serious here. You both should just get out before I call security," he said, obviously trying to hold his own temper. "I'm not putting up with your claims unless you have solid proof of where she is, have known her before, or have an eyewitness. A dream and a drawing, which anyone could have done, is not enough." Some of the security guards nearby had already gathered, ready to take the brothers outside if need be.

"I AM the eyewitness!" Leo shrieked, pounding his fist against the counter angrily. "Why won't you listen to me! I know you guys need help, please let me help you! I know I don't have any hard proof but I promise I will get it!" he begged, his voice continued to be raised.

"Calm down, Leo!" Asher urged pulling his brother back from the counter. He didn't want to let him know this, but he looked like a lunatic to the police right now. "They just don't understand, okay? Don't get so mad." He tried to get Leo to quiet down, but it wasn't likely that he succeeded. One of the security guards tapped his shoulder. "You might want to get your little brother out of here. He'll bother the detectives," he told the elder. "I'm sorry to say, but you kids kinda wasted our time." Reluctantly, Asher had to drag Leo, probably kicking and screaming, out of the station. They just won't listen, and he couldn't really blame them. All Leo had was a dream and a picture, and those weren't considered to be enough to help them.

Leo couldn't believe he was told to leave, he would have thought that since they were having trouble that they would at least consider what Leo had to say. He left the station still fuming mad that they wouldn't listen to a thing Leo had to tell them. "Well what now!? You think the police would be able to help people but they don't! As soon as they figure out where she is she'll be dead Asher!" Leo said sternly, standing in the pouring rain which had began sometime while they were inside the station. "We need to find someone who will listen, if we can't....then maybe we'll just have to find her ourselves!"

"Leo, we're just civilians. How can we find someone who was missing for a week when the police can't even do it?" Asher questioned, shaking a head at such a notion. "She might be dead even by the time we find her. You remember your first nightmare. If the second one is real, then how are we to say that the first isn't?" As much as he would have liked to support Leo on this little... independent detective work, he didn't want him to get into danger. They would be dealing with a potential murderer!

"What if were me who were missing!?!" Leo shrieked again, his cheeks turning pink from the cold rain and his own anger. "What if I was the one who went missing and someone came to the police saying the same things I did!! Would you want them to just give up without even trying!?!!?" he yelled, his hands balling up into fists. He almost wanted to punch his brother, at least it would be a physical manifestation of knocking some sense into him.

"You know I wouldn't want that! You know perfectly well that I would have done anything to find you!" Asher shouted. He took a few deep breaths and tried to be calm again. The two of them yelling at each other would go nowhere. "I'm just scared of you getting hurt or killed, Leo. I understand that you want to help and I guess you feel like it's your responsibility since you saw her in your dreams, but are you really willing to die for her?"

Leo hung his head for a minute or two, by now he was completely soaked, the bandage around his head was even see-through and sagging a little. He looked back at his brother and nodded. "No human being should have to go through what she's going through." he said softly. Even if it meant putting himself in danger, he at least needed to try to help her.

Asher sighed once again. When Leo put it like that, refusing to help him would just make the elder look heartless. "I can never seem to win against you," he muttered. It didn't help that Leo usually had the best points in the arguments. "You said she was in a building with concrete floors, right? If she was from this city, maybe we can locate some abandoned buildings around. Kidnappees always seem to end up in abandoned buildings."

Leo smiled and hugged his brother tightly. "Don't worry, we'll find her. I know it." he said softly, shivering at the cold. "Can we go home now and have some tea? I'm getting cold. And maybe we should cancel that doctor's appointment. I'm going to need my nightmares." He never thought he'd say that, Leo had hated his nightmares up until this point. But if they were what he needed to help this poor woman then Leo would suffer with her.

"Yeah, let's go home," Asher agreed and once again took Leo to the bus stop. Fortunately, it was one of those stops with a bit of a roof over the head to keep out the rain, but it didn't stop the wind from trying to freeze them. The bus did come soon enough, and then they were on their way home. As much as Asher was worried about Leo's nightmares, he figured they did serve a purpose, even if his brother had to sacrifice some sleep.
