Erika began crying and Koorie felt her mind suddenly go blank. What the fudge just happened? Of course, it didn't take her long to figure out the girl was probably drinking her sorrows away and that this person she was waiting for had clearly stood her up. Still, she had not signed up to deal with a drunk and now crying cop.
She turned her head to George and gave him a very dirty look; she was so blaming him for this situation. He was the one who decided to go and actually talk to someone rather than stay back and watch. And sure, she could have hung back, but she would have lost the only person here she actually knew.
However, her tolerance for the situation was at whit's end, and with the entry of a child into all of this fray, Koorie was just done. Shaking her head, she simply turned and walked away to put herself a distance from the group: she wasn't a people person, and this was going to be far more small talk than she was able to handle. Crossing her arms, she leaned herself up against a post and watched in silence.

Keahi chirped cutely as Fifi cooed at him.
Vana beamed as the ponyta showed off, such a pretty boy! Her grin widened as people started to talk about Keahi. "His name is Keahi! He's very cute, and soft! It must be nice to have a pretty pokemon that you can ride on, though I like being able to cuddle and keep Keahi in my arms." The Twenty Two year old pondered stating that she was not a kid but shrugged it off. "I like all cute pokemon, pretty ones two, fire types are my favorite!" Turning back to Fifi she smiled "Blue is a pretty color! I like red too! And red and blue make a pretty purple!"

Magnolia gave Laurence a surprised blink. His inability to ultimately raise Kili to be respectable towards other humans totally shattered the societal expectation the teen had about adults -- that a quick snap of their fingers and stern glare could have anything unruly bring itself to obedience. It confounded her, most of all, her own Pokemon acted better than the Pikachirisu. How different were adults and children? Or, more importantly, had she shouldered maturity too early?
"Ah, Rho and I . . . I got him as a gift when I was a child," she admitted to the scruffy looking older man. "He was a gift from my parents from a well-known breeder. He's been with me since, but only as a lap companion. He's, um, not much a battler."
The Glameow rolled his eyes and gave a small snort. he thought to himself.
"How about you and Kili?"

It'd been quite the strange discovery finding the leaflet that'd been placed inside his mailbox. There wasn't any sort of return address, or any sign of who might have sent it in the first place... on such old parchment, it made the breeder curious just who kept this kind of dingy stuff around. A smart man, Sabre wasn't one to fall for such sophomoric tricks, and scams... but this did have him curious. The event that was referenced to had been some sort of recent event that he'd not participated in.. but had heard of. So that was something... But he had been cooped up at home for quite a few months now. He was a nomadic sort of gent, who had a strong case of wanderlust. In this case... he figured what could be the harm. He'd been through so many trials and gotten out just fine, thanks to the help of his only companions.
He'd packed and chosen Anja as his partner this time around, leaving Jon'Cloude to look after the house and other Pokemon. Sabre felt more comfortable in doing so, since he and the Absol had been together the longest, he knew that those that were left behind would be safest with the dark type watching over them.
He had only a simple backpack, filled with purely essentials, and nothing more. As usual his heavy metal clad boots gave way to a strong metallic thud with each step as he made his way along the cobblestone towards the destined docks just to see what this whole shindig was about. If it was a hoax, and just some sort of facade, he'd just simply go back home. Plain as that. Anja walked calmly beside him, her eyes vigilantly scanning, nose twitching faintly, in an overall alert state of mind as they reached their goal.

"I found Kili in the wild," Laurence replied. "A pack of poochyena were after her, so I scared them off. She looked too young to be on her own, but I could not find her family... I didn't want to leave her alone, but luckily she decided to come with me on her own. I do not think she is a battler either; at least, I would not dream of battling. Maybe Kili is capable, but I do not think I have the stones for it." He laughed lightly again.
Kili nodded her head in agreement, as if to say that she would be a fine battler, despite the fact that she had never battled before.

"Yes it is," Zak replied,"Thats Phrixus alright, he also has a bit of an attitude problem which we are working on. I hope this trip will fix it a bit. I was going to bring flora, but she'd just be spraying every flying pokemon we meet. Sakki I don't think has gotten over our adventure on Rinaul Mountains, and Zue, well he'll never change so i've given up on him." Zak gave a half smile
The houndoom grumbled half growling at the end.
"Phrixus.." he spoke in attempt to keep his houndoom in check. "Ah...Right," he muttered totally forgetting to introduce himself. "I'm Zakiax, but most just call me Zak. It is a pleasure to meet you." It was at that time that his crimson eyes had spotted someone familiar. First he spotted the boy's pokemon, squeeks. "Remmy!" He called out to the boy waving a hand over his head hoping the boy would see him.

Erika stopped sobbing at George's attempt to cheer her up and laughed whimsically. "Fedora, you're a charmer like Dr. Lothar, aint'cha? Sorry, but I'm still interested in him, so I'm gonna have to pass." Wiping the tears out of her eyes with her jacket sleeve, Erika downed the rest of the alcohol in a single go.

"Hmm, I doubt nobody else knows any more about this," Anise mused. "Kind of makes me wonder why so many people showed up for it at all. All I know is I came along because something so unusual seemed like it had a chance of..." she paused for a breath as she decided not to jinx things and changed what she was about to say slightly, "of someone getting hurt, and a healer might be useful. Of which I am one," she added by way of clarification.
Oki huffed slightly, his only indication that he didn't quite approve of the choice. He still watched the crowd intently, and his expression didn't change. With the Cyndaquil in his trainer's arm and apparently disinclined to cause a further fuss, he paid no more attention to the little pokemon that any other on the docks.
"Pleased to meet you Sienna. Your Swablu is very pretty. I have to say, I've never seen one quite like that, he's very unique." Cara commented, smiling nicely. She was indeed telling the truth, Skylar was definitely the most unique bird pokemon she had ever seen.
She turned back to Zak and smiled at Phrixus who seemed to growl something at Spirit for some reason, she could only assume that he, she and Skylar were all communicating and making introductions. "Well he has become quite the big handsome Pokemon. I am so jealous. We'll have to have a battle sometime; maybe between Phrixus and Rio?" She heard him as he spoke of his other pokemon and nodded when he mentioned Sakki. "Ahhh yeah, Tiger was ready and raring to come along on this trip but Spirit beat him to the punch, plus she was a lot more adamant about coming."
Spirit blinked at Phrixus then lowered her eyes halfway to give him an unamused look. She 'rolled' her eyes at the end of her statement. Spirit figured that if the houndoom was going to give her attitude, she would give it right back. Spirit 'smiled' happily at Skylar.
Cara started looking around when Zak mentioned their young friend's name. "Remy?"

The sun was high in the skies and by now, a rather large group of curious travelers had gathered at Katarina Docks, all wondering who the person that organized the event was, and where. Maybe it was all a trick after all. Whoever called them all here knew where they lived and got them to leave. Maybe they were getting robbed right this second, while they were standing here, fascinated by a balloon ride adventure. They were starting to doubt the legitimacy of the whole thing.
A fragile figure rounded a corner of the building amidst the confused chatter of would-be adventurers. The brim of his hat covered his eyes and he didn't look up, despite being shorter than most of the group around him, except maybe the children. He wore a loose long sleeved shirt underneath a vest with multiple pockets and also pants that had just as many pockets. He looked like he carried all the necessities he needed in just his clothes alone. If the items necessary weren't in his pockets, they hung off the belt around his body. A rather large knife, a cooking pot, canteen of water, and a fish hook were easily seen. No doubt he had a lot more items than what could be spotted just by looking.
His posture was hunched, as he shuffled his way to the group. He weld no cane, although it seemed he could tip over at any second. The amount of weight from the items he had on wasn't helping. The man stood, using the sign to prop himself up.
Unlike the rest of the adventurers gathered, he carried no backpack and he had no pokemon. He was silent and made no motion to quiet the group down or call attention upon himself. There was no indication he was traveling with the group, or if he was the one they were meeting.

"certainly is odd enough" he mused, wondering now how on earth whoever had left the note had gotten in, He wasn't so much fearing for valuables other than his Pokemon, but thoughts of ill intention from the invite were far from his mind. He did wonder however where this person was that they were supposed to meet. "Wonder who we're meetin'" he said out loud in the general direction of Anise.
He was near enough towards the back of the crowd when someone else showed up, unlike practically everyone else, this one carried no backpack and didn't appear to have any Pokemon with him, in Pokeballs or otherwise, but Katori couldn't be sure. In fact the man looked downright frail and Katori instantly wondered if he was lost or something. He glanced around to see if anyone nearer to the man was going to offer to help, he looked rather weighed down though from this distance Katori couldn't tell exactly with what specifically other than there seemed to be A LOT of pockets.

Something had changed. Alastyn looked around, spotting the strange man. Tossing his head, he pulled the reins from Fifi's lax grip and trotted over, nickering happily. Drawing up to the man, he started nosing at the pockets, as if looking for a treat.
"Oh, oh no! Excuse me! Pooky, come back!" Fifi cried, trotting after her Ponyta. "Pooky, leave the nice man alone! Stop that!" she said, grabbing the reins again. Good boy, she though privately, as she fluttered about. "I'm so sorry, mister, Pooky here must have seen all your pockets and thought there might be a treat in there!" Fifi apologized.
"Oh, no treats in these pockets," he tilted his head a bit as he spoke, but his eyes were still shielded under the brim of his hat. He made no movement to back away from the horse, but wasn't inviting to converse or interact, either.
"Oh, it doesn't really matter, Pooky, no, he just wants to check for himself. Sorry! Pooky, stop that! Are you here for the balloon ride?" Fifi asked guilelessly, fighting a losing tug-of-war with her Ponyta, who kept trying to sniff different pockets.

Gepardo spotted someone near the sign, a short man, but as far as the breeder could tell, he was an adult. He hoped. Stepping away from the other, sure that Lilli would keep to her best behavior, he approached the many-pocketed man. "Did you get a flyer as well?" He smiled, although a little corner by the other's movement. "....are you alright?"
