Demitri was glad to hear that at least one of his suggestions was praised but it seemed that with everything the kingdom was doing it still didn't produce results fast enough. If he was going to do one thing meaningful in his life, Demitri was going see that every single necromancer is wiped out. It was the least he could do to avenge all of the victims of his father's experiments and to punish them for getting his father involved with this plague to begin with. Demitri exhaled slowly and held his hands out, palms up. He concentrated as hard as he could on his hands but he couldn't even manage smoke this time. Already starting to get frustrated, Demitri got an idea. He held his palms up once more and closed his eyes; Demitri concentrated on all of the aspects of fire, the warmth, the colors, the crackle of the wood fueling it, the smoke created from it as oxygen kept it going. Within no time a uniform ball of fire emitted from Demitri's palms; he slowly opened his eyes and kept the image of the fire in his mind, mentally feeding the fire very slowly so as to keep his own steady and uniform.

Demitri watched the sorcerer carefully, trying to mimic his body motions with JJ's and it seemed easy enough. He created a second ball of fire with ease, now having one in each hand Demitri stood there and stared at his hands for a few minutes trying to get the visual concept of juggling down. It wasn't terribly difficult to imagine but the trick was getting his hands to do the same thing. Demitri first tossed one of the balls of fire up and down in his hand in an attempt to get ready; he threw the same ball up into the air and switched the other one to his free hand in order to catch it. The first attempt was successful so he kept going with it but he found himself making two more balls of fire by accident and pretty soon they were all up in the air and threatening to catch everything on fire. Demitri got a little worried for a moment, watching the balls of fire drift off target as he scarmbled to catch them but of course there were a couple which strayed from his grasp.

Demitri blushed when he saw the little smile on JJ's face appear, it was almost as if the man was afraid to be happy or to at least smile. He heard his master's orders but the fire on the grass was growing rather quickly which made him nervous. His mind was a little too panicked, it was difficult to make the fire stop, how could he just take the fire away? Demitri decided that if it was a little too difficult to make the fire stop burning, then he could at least put it out. He tried to concentrate hard enough to form water the same way he formed his fireballs but water flowed too easily to keep uniform. Demitri looked up to the sky and controlled his breathing, ominous clouds gathered high above the training ground; he took a deep breath and with one fluid sweep of his arms, Demitri summoned a stream of rain, guiding the stream onto the fire which lit the ground. Within minutes the fire was put out and Demitri was rather proud that he could perform such a thing in such a short amount of time. He was a little winded afterword but he still had most of his energy. "How was that?"

Demitri groaned at his master, watching him light the grass once more. "I don't know how! I made the fire by imagining it in my mind, how can I imagine energy putting it out? It's not very logical, that's why I came up with the rain. How can I put out a fire using something I can't even see myself?" he asked, feeling the heat singe his shoes slightly. It was somewhat easy with the fireballs, all he had to do was imagine a fireball and there it was in his palm. This was asking too much, though, he was only a beginner. Demitri tried staring at the fire and manifesting his magic that way but nothing happened, the fire continued to burn and spread around him.

Take away the air. Demitri hadn't thought of that before, if he could imagine the air as a physical element that he could see then he might be able to do something with it. Demitri nodded and closed his eyes, feeling the heat around him and the wind which fed the flames. He inhaled and exhaled smoothly, he saw the air in his mind and mentally cleared the wind away. Demitri placed his hand in the air, palm away from his face as he moved his hand smoothly along the flames. Each flame died slowly, only emitting smoke as its light went out; this took much more energy than Dimitri had thought, his hands were even starting to hurt a little bit.

Just as the last flame had died, Demitri looked up to his master as a flash of someone else's memory flashed before him; an innocent looking woman taking the air out of humans,one at a time, each human in the village dying. Demitri's heart skipped a beat, it wasn't a vision but a glimpse into the future rather. He looked at his hand and a little wave of alarm coursed through his mind but he wasn't sure what it meant, maybe it wasn't too important if it was only a peek.

Demitri looked back up at JJ and shook his head. "Nothing, I just couldn't believe I could do something like that." he lied as he tried to relax his mind and body. "What do I need to work on next?" he asked softly, trying hard not to think about the little flash he just saw, which seemed to be a little easier than he thought once he decided to focus strictly on his training. If he was going to help JJ with the necromancy problem he needed to work hard.

Demitri took the book from JJ and turned to the page instructed, he tried to focus on what the book said but the flash of the memory from earlier was still on his mind. Until he knew more he would put it off for the moment. After a few minutes of reading, Demitri closed the book and nodded as he knelt down onto the grass, his hands hovering over the bald areas with palms faced down. Demitri closed his eyes once more and tried to feel the energy of the earth beneath his knees. "Your time of death is over. Rise above and recover." he muttered softly, he could feel his hands getting warm and saw the grass slowly grow back. Demitri smiled, this had to be his favorite spell, it was refreshing being able to see that he could heal something.
