Moon Division "Class A means 'avoid bad subtitles'. Got it." He nodded, eyes drifting past her for a moment as he tried to see whether or not they'd made it close enough to actually see the creature as opposed to just listening to the repeating announcement and the warning sirens. Then he was looking at her again, hazel eyes gleaming with just a bit more mischievous gold in them. "I wouldn't worry too much about the ink, Princess. It's been there long enough that it shouldn't smudge if I get a little bit dirty. Going to show me the ropes? Or just keep dragging me around?"

He could have sworn he heard someone shouting his name, but there was also quite a bit of noise going on. Rocket launchers, he scoffed mentally (enviously).
"Lose it? I'd actually like to make a dent in reading aforementioned research, thanks," Jack muttered in passing as he moved to a new box. At least the thing looked about halfway finished. "All about shutting out everything else but the task, miss. Good to know we have an underground bunker at least if s**t hits the fan, though--missing amenities notwithstanding. I can assume you've had to before, though?" he asked them as he sifted around.

[Life Division]Plasma Gun Charge: +13Mimsy held out his boots to him, and he accepted them graciously, quickly tugging them on while he watched her inspect the slime. Then she geared herself for war, or at least, painted herself for the part. Shiloh grinned at her. “You look ready to take on a whole slew of giant sea monsters. Thanks Mims,” he said, once again stopping himself from clapping her on the shoulder or any other sort of physical touch. He really hoped the showers would still be working after all of this. He nodded at her suggestion; she was clearly more competent than he was at surviving, so it was perhaps a better idea that he gave his aid somewhere it might prove more useful. Shiloh smiled, and gave her a salute. “Be safe, I expect to see you, and everyone else, shortly!” Then he was headed towards the defenses, slipping inside of the gates. The air inside the gates was frantic, but measured, respective divisions moving to their stations and setting up artillery. Looking back over his shoulder, Shiloh saw the hulking creature looming, and it was enough of an incentive for the man to shake his head clear, and find his station. The people he’d been so desperate to save had shared his fate, and now Mimsy was there to help them through the gates, he felt better. He made his way to the Life area, and the large runic gun stationed there. He was surprised to feel a seemingly congratulatory pat on the back, and Shiloh couldn’t help but smile as the man pulled his now gooey hand away. “Shiloh, yes, sorry about the monster spit. Not entirely sure how to get it off.” Besides, there were certainly more pressing matters than his cleanliness at the moment. “Thank-you, though and yes, here’s hoping to future missions.” He followed the other hunter over to the rune box, and after watching his method, repeated it.

Rin crept out of her hiding spot and rushed to frantically slap some runes in their places; it was a rather ridiculous sight - like watching a full grown adult insist on trying to shove a square peg in a round hole. Eventually she made one fit.

Rin just insisted on trying to put runes where they mostly did not belong. She eventually figured out one and offered Melvin an exasperated look. Was it her? It had to be the runes, right?

Rin's attention slid back to her runes, fervor now as he just pressed all the runes in all over without care. They didn't have time for this s**t. It seemed to work.

Moon Division"Your princess is in the wrong castle." She muttered not too softly, clearly intending for him to hear. "Trust me, around here you will pick up a few bumps and dents." Even she had a scar, even though it was hidden under her leggings presently. "Okay, but its going to be a crash course. I dont have as much experience as a lot of the other moon hunters here, but i have a decent know-how." Briefly she looked towards the moon station and saw what they were handing out. "I get to teach the newbie how to use a net-gun, goodie." Ceres reached out and grabbed his sleeve, pulling him towards the station. She gabbed two guns and offered him one. "Ever shoot a gun before?" The net guns were larger and a little heavier, and a bit awkward frankly.

It worked so well last time that Rin did the exact same thing again. When she was satisfied, she looked to Melvin yet again. "Some of the life tech, I honestly have no idea what they were thinking."

Moon Division "Does paintball count?" His brow quirked as he eyed her before eying the gun, somewhat surprised by the heft of it. He grunted, shifting his weight slightly before making sure that he was holding on to it with two hands. "... I don't have to worry about these things firing blanks, do I? How the hell do you even..." He swung it around, almost pointing it in her direction before catching himself, readjusting it so that there was no chance for misfire. "I'll try not to disappoint you, Teach."

And now to try and fire the damn thing. Jack grasped the handles on both sides and aimed. Steady hands, like he said.
It felt incredible to simply hit the trigger and watch the flow of energy jet forward with a brilliant flash and a loud hum. He almost laughed as the laser pierced through some of the beast, the glorious moment far too short for his liking. Power, oh yes. He absolutely wanted to toy with this later.
"I like this division," Jack commented decisively, grinning away like a boy at Christmas.
