Celebi immediately began choosing down happily.
Fortunately for Sorren (mostly since Mika probably wouldn't be happy with him assaulting Forrest), they were interrupted by the sound of the front door opening and a Ranger in a desert camo uniform entering the cabin. The new Ranger glanced around before focusing on Treant, who had come to answer the door. "Hey Treant. One of the Union techies got a signal from a styler indicating illegal modifications, I've been sent to investigate, detain if tampering is malicious, yadda yadda yadda. That being said, where's Forrest? I need to kick his a** for making illegal upgrades to a Styler... again." Streak the Linoone just watched from his shoulder.
Treant wordlessly pointed the Ranger and his Linoone partner in Forrest's direction, the orange-haired boy immediately heading toward Forrest.

The ranger sighed before starting to explain. "The name's Speedy, and yeah, it's illegal. Basically, the Styler is rigged to send a signal if modified unless you know how to block said signal. If the upgrade's meant to be helpful, the only consequences are a fine, a mark on your records if you do it too much, and a second, larger fine if you broke the Styler. If it's malicious tampering, however, you get jail time and are given a fine as if you'd broken the Styler." He sat down next to Forrest, glaring at him irritably as he waited for him to wake up. "Thing is, you're allowed to do modifications if you're a Professor, Mechanic, or Professor's assistant. Forrest, however, is none of these, and yet he still insists on modifying his styler repeatedly. It figures, really; Forrest was never one to let little details like 'legality' get in the way once he sets his mind on something."
As if on cue, Forrest yawned as he awoke, blinking sleepily as he noted that they had company. "Morning, Mika. Heya Speedy, Streak. How's it going?" he greeted casually.

"Ah... I forgot to block the Styler signal again, didn't I?" Forrest grinned sheepishly as his sleepy brain caught on to what was going on, thanking Mika for the food and drink before continuing. "It's all right, I can pay the fine. I've got plenty of money to spare."
Speedy gave Forrest another flat look. "...You've been having Treant pickpocket captured poachers again, haven't you?"
"I prefer to think of it as 'confiscation'," Forrest quipped back cheerfully, even as Treant gave Speedy an innocent look.
Speedy just sighed. "Well, I think it's safe to say that you haven't changed a bit, so I'll tell the Union to just charge it to your account... again. Now, exactly what's going on here that you felt the need to modify someone else's Styler? Because I know for a fact that you don't give your little tricks out like party favors."
Streak, meanwhile, got bored of all the humans talking, and in the span of a split second, the shiny Linoone was right in front of Sorren, sniffing at the Braviary curiously.

Streak sniffed a little longer at the Braviary, then got bored and went to hang out with Treant.
It was at that point that Celebi joined them, happily flying around Forrest a little before plopping down on his head.
Speedy looked back over at Forrest... and then froze in shock. After a moment, he spoke weakly. "Er, Forrest? Are you aware that - "
"That I've got Celebi on my head? Yeah, the little guy's taken a liking to me for some reason," Forrest answered with a shrug before handing over the modified styler to Mika. "Anyway, Mika, here's your styler - feel free to test out the new features."
Speedy gawked a little longer, then seemed to get over his shock, sighing, pinching the bridge of his nose, and muttering something about how even the wild grass-types seemed to be unnaturally interested in getting Forrest's attention.
