I found a thing. =O Would it maybe work? It's not nearly as dark, but it's the right kind of picture for this rp.
Not really. There are two very key traits to Aoi's appearance, first is that she has long, bright red hair and blue eyes. The second is that she looks fairly young and relatively innocent, a misleading trait she exploits to her advantage. The tail and ears are slightly less important and I can rework the profile around it if I have to.
Admittedly, I actually found the image I have when searching 'red riding hood' and it was one of the top 15 or so images on DA. I was looking for a character image with a red cloak at the time, but liked the image I found a lot better and it gave me more ideas to work with.
Not sure if any of this is helpful or not, but maybe it can narrow down the image pool a bit.

Okay. If you don't find anything by tomorrow I'll look again. =3
Okay, I've done some searching, but nothing's really jumped out at me for Aoi. I did manage to track down the image I had and the artist behind it... who actually has a gallery for that specific character. You seem to have a better understanding of what counts as 'fantasy art' and not 'fantasy-anime art' than I do, so I'm linking the artist's gallery and you can flip through it and maybe tell what images, if any, would fit the RP.

I'll accept this one. But all of her pictures are anime. lol That one though has some more fantasy like stuff in it rather than cartoony anime style.

I had a feeling that would be the one you'd pick, that or the one titled 'Empty Pink space'... neither of which I'm overly fond of... which means I either can't use this character for Aoi... or Aoi may just need a rewrite entirely to fit a new image.
EDIT: I'm going with a rewrite for Aoi entirely, nixing the hybrid idea as well as using a different image.

Due to a desire to avenge her death, she was granted two gifts of the underworld to help her, the first being the shroud of blood, which lets her levitate, pass through solid objects and teleport short distances in a red haze. The second is the Devouring blade, a demonic sword that eats away the life essence of anyone it cuts, regardless if the cut was fatal or not. However, the blade only saps small portions at a time if the cuts aren't lethal, a single cut can be considered equal to sapping about a day off the end of a person's lifespan and skin must be broken for this to occur. The resulting draining of life essence with each cut also drains the opponent's constitution more so than a cut would from a normal blade, regardless of severity. The life essence can then be converted into energy and magical power for Aoi, making her seem to grow progressively stronger as a battle wears on. If the blade kills someone outright, it absorbs the remainder of life the person would've had if they'd still been alive. She also knows some basic fire spells and trap curses.

She also harbors a deep hatred for Werewolves, though only wolves and not the other were-species. Her life was simple, but content, living with her parents and grandmother for most of her life. She was well known for having vibrant red hair and blue eyes. When she was about 12, her father was forced to join in a civilian militia to help put down an uprising population of werewolves nearby. He was sadly killed in the fighting and her mother fell into a deep depression after that, eventually losing the will to live and dying quietly one night. Aoi moved out with her grandmother to a smaller cabin, the old place having too many painful memories for them both. The cabin was secluded and deeper into the forest than most were. Whenever food or other supplies were needed, Aoi would return to the town to get them, even performing small, odd jobs to pay for what she could get. It was on one such trip after her fifteenth birthday that, when she returned to the cabin, came upon the horrifying sight of three werewolves eating her slain grandmother. Upon seeing the young girl, they indulged in a different hunger and literally raped her to death. Even before dying, her soul managed to linger and hold onto enough hate and pain to avoid being sent straight to paradise. This allowed her to speak with Death himself and ask to be brought back as a demon, as she wanted to punish the wolves that had killed her. Death felt enough sympathy for the girl's circumstances and allowed it, even granting her the shroud of blood and Devouring blade to help her. After coming back, she later learned that the wolves she'd... encountered, were not normal werewolves, but ones that had gone feral and lost their humanity. Accepted! Though a little more explanation for how the blade works would be great. I would just like people to know how to have their characters react if they got cut. Does it take away part of the time they have in their life? And does it only take life force when touching/slicing an opponent? Or does the effect drain them over time? And if it drains them over time without having contact, how does it do so? =O

While this didn't lessen her hatred for wolves in general, it gave her a focus on which ones to slay as punishment. It's said that after her new uprising, the count of feral wolves decreased dramatically.

She was accepted with some initial caution and skepticism, but managed to prove herself of being genuine in wanting to join their team. Her reason for joining was to hopefully find a way to adequately punish all wolves for the crimes their feral cousins had committed.
Expanded on the blade's abilities. Granted I wrote the abilities section while on the verge of falling asleep, so some details did slip by when I wrote it initially.
"Death's not so bad... it's the dying part that can be truly horrifying... let me show you."
I have been around for about 75 years, in my current state, was aged a mere fifteen prior to that. I am a Demon and affiliated with Malandaia. I am on team two as a fighter. I don't really fancy anyone...
I have a few nicknames. Little red - 'Red' But I would rather you call me Aoi or Red.

However, the blade only saps small portions at a time if the cuts aren't lethal, often weakening her opponent slowly rather than slaying them outright. She also knows some basic fire spells and trap curses.

She tends to favor being isolated over social settings and has shown a tendency to mutter to herself when alone, possibly talking to her shroud or the Devouring blade. In combat, she displays a hidden sadistic side, grinning darkly whenever she manages to overpower an opponent and preferring to take her time in defeating them. She also harbors a deep hatred for Werewolves, though only wolves and not the other were-species. If she ever manages to open up to anyone emotionally, it would be revealed that she's a very sad and tragic person and doesn't really know what her place in the world is anymore.

I just realized that the image and basic background of Bryn would've worked for Aoi's initial idea, if someone else wasn't using the image already. But I like the more direct parallel to Red Riding hood better than the ironically named thief idea. 'Aoi Akari' roughly translates to 'Blue and Red' in japanese, in fact.
