One more grab, he'd just try once more... Or at least that's what he told himself as he took a few more steps forward and finally found his fingers closing on the glowing shard. Much t his own pleasure, or perhaps displeasure. It was, of course, followed by that voice in his head once more. This one new, different than the others. Certainly not his own... but...
"I told you it would be fun!" There was laughter in that voice, perhaps a bit young. A kid? He didn't... no don't think about it. It wasn't him, right..? Just... the other him. The one to be discarded. Like the goddess said.
Right, he should just... get rid of the things. Take it to them and see to their disposal. "Are you me?" It wasn't like that other being these people were talking to could answer. But there had been another him, somewhere... at some time. It was just gone now. Like the goddess said. He was better off this way.

Tiek nodded slowly. That was true. Seeing the goddess there made him feel happier, but it was fleeting. As soon as he turned away, it was gone.
A shard floated by and out of reach before he could react. Grumbling softly, his thoughts were broken when his companion spoke? Oh, a name! "I don't mine. It didn't occur for me to give it. I am Tiekash. What's your name?"
Then a sense of dread rested upon Tiek's shoulder, "She said... Nothing. Did she speak to you?" SHARD -- 2

He felt like he had forgotten something, but it was useless to try and recall what exactly that was. Hopefully it wasn’t important. Although a part of him did wonder if that something was important and why it had been forgotten in the first place. Ikait didn’t fancy himself as the type to forget things so easily. But now wasn’t the time to wonder about that, not when he actually had a task to complete. He hummed curiously as he eyed a floating orb. With keen eyes, he reached out and grabbed him. He could hear the clatter of glass and soft sipping. Drinking something? There wasn’t a lot for him to go off of, so he continued on.

Viola'i seemed to pull herself back into the realm of the Ruins, as if remembering there was something else at hand. The Goddess had given her a blessing but now it seemed her questions would return to her once more.
As well as the realization there were others around her. Milling and searching through the ruins, what were they doing, she wondered until she took a few careful steps towards where someone was going through a pile of debris. Until she saw it for herself. A soft glowing orb.
The shadowed girl bent down, pushing a few random items aside and pulled until it gave way. Voices washed over her, familiar yet not. A conversation, happy and cheerful until it was gone.
"What is this?" She found herself asking.

Spurred on by the curious sounds contained within the memory, Ikait searched for another orb to grab. He was somewhat picky. The shadow could see how quickly they could flit around. He couldn’t just choose any typical one. It was necessary to find a fragment he felt he could capture. A tiny smile played on his lips as he reached for one and caught yet another. This time there was the sound of brush against canvas. Soft, idle chatter in the background as they voices conversed about class and school. Interesting.
