"The arrow isn't exactly common etheir." Vilkas observed carefully, no the metla used in the point was black and sharp as a Were Beasts fangs. The wood used for the body was strong yet flexible enough to curve for perscion and the feathers on the end... red feahters weren't ocmmon.
Guests were beign rounded up all around them and despite the brutal savagery of the attack the Compaions technically could do nothing, but that didn't mena they wouldn't help to some extent. The gaurds didn't turn their aide away, they were also rattled and attmepting to sequre order for whatever it was.
"Farkas," He whisepred ot his brother in a low voice. "you have the storngest sense of smell .. find somehting." Farkas gave a silnet nod before wlakign off fist trying to determine to locaiton of the snipper before anythign else.
"Zev, you may want to chekc out that other lead." He refered ot the other drownign of blood waftign hrew their noses, all three smelt it as well. "If you can fallow it than so be it just make sure if you find our assassin their arne't to many of them. I'll be pokign aorund here."

Sonja meet up with Vezeeara outside the stables and quickly remounted their horses and had the beasts goign at full speed. Alipping threw Dragonbridge was more than alittle nerve raking but they made it to the open road where suddnely she let out a loud bark of laughter than Veezara joined her secodns later. "That was a wedding!" She laughed depsite herself, hoenslty laughing.
"If they forget hat wedding anytime soon we'll have to pay them another visit. well done Sister!" Teh Argonaian's laugh was deep and hiss filled but ti was laughter all the same. "Astrid and the other's will want to know the good news. Tpnight we ill be celebrating."
"Get me out of this damned dress and into my armor again and I'll persoanlly cook the whole dmaned meal myself." They were careful to make sure they hadn't been fallowed, everyoen was to confused to evne notice their getaway.
All the more better for them.

"Aye well planned, well executed .. seemignly no mistakes. If I didn't detest shadow walkers so much I could admire a job of this scale going off wihtout a hithc. Such as it is ... I sitll find assassins to be particlaly disgusting creautres." Vilkas had also foudn nothing. 'He would profilt other than those int heir Civil War?' He thaught there were many ideas yet nothign to give any clue.
Farkas had just as much luck. "Possible loction for the snipping." He said poitng to the balcony above them. "Perfect lien fo sight and cover no obstructions to the shot etheir. Had enough time during the chaos to slip away. No usable sent ethier."
Which left everyone with nothing.

Falkreh Sancturry Later that Night

The celebration of the first contract of the mission wans't huge by any menas but it put everyone in good spriits. Plans were sitll bieng made and nealry done for the next stage. But Astrid said those coud be discused further in the mornign, as everyone deserved a small celbration.
Sonja made a point to change immedlaty apon return and refused to share detials til she was free of the dress and into her armor once again. There was no acutal feast but the dinner was a bit higher in grade than most nights, they were saving the real feast for the Emperor himself. Everyone was clamign down and slowly resumign their plans while Sonja foudn herself more or less by the water ende reading over a book she foudn burried deep in the Sancturay's shelves, covred in dust and cob webs but sitll readable.
Of course she foudn the book uttelry boring simply because one the title was faded compelty as were half the pages. "I think I need more reading matierle..." She muttered consideirng chucking the book into the water just because.
'Unless this is an anciet book that hsouldnt be water logged in which case Cicero might throttle me into the pool on princable.'

Sonja supressed her startled jump as best she could hearing Cicero behind her. 'If he's this good sneakign up on one of us I"d hate to see him on a contract.' She thaught glancing up at him before returning to the pool water. "Already aet just figurieng out if this book has anythign useful. It doen'st." She closed the volume and dropped it at her side with a 'thunk'. "Do you mkae a habbit of sneakign up on your own family? Or am I specile?" She asked looking back up at him while also wonderign what braught him out of his hole in the back. Cicero was never if at best seldomout of his room or the Night Mother's chambers.
Stiffling a sudden small sneeze that over took her with the back of her hand. Blasted powder was still up her nose even hours later it seemed. "Void take me if I need to wear another damned dress for this assighnment." She mutteed.

The idea of styaing a night hadn't been in the travel plans and none of hte three had seffient enough coin for three individual rooms so it was left to them all sharing one.Two beds which meant one of them was getting the floor tongiht after agreeing to hlep the gaurds in their investigation.
Farkas had returned to the scene of the inital murder to see if he coudl find somehtign odd. Depsite what many thaught of him and yes Vilkas was the smarter of the two Farkas had an eye to spot things many others would miss. He felt bad for the now widowed husband who wasn't even married a day fro the rumors he had refuesed all food and dirnk and was in a permanet state of grief.
That ruled him out immedlaty. No one was that good at acting.
Vilkas was investigating the area where the second body was gound along with the gates. Sadly they had to leave the man where he had been foudn if aonly to find some clues. He was bent over the body careuflly exainign it searchign for visual clues and sents. 'Right to left slash but not form behidn menaing killer is right handed. He saw he killed hm than.' He thaught while looking over the man's falen body. He never drew his sword which meant more than likely ... he grabbed them to halt them from leaving possibly beliving they were a guest .. than ...
Vilkas sniffed carefully and detected if he was right poder perhapes? Powder and .. something sweetend like pefume perhapes... that would have to mean who did it was female.
Gently tilting the man's head bac Vilkas noted somehting ..odd. The cut was ... at an odd angel more like someone had slashed slighlty upwards now at fae level. "Shorter than the gaurd and more than liekly female." nord women coudl be almsot equal in height to the men which more than liely menat something else.

"Just pwder up my nose unless that counts as being sick." Powder always made her sneeze despite when she was little her mother at times gave her a light coat of it to try and give her soem color, soley for other people's sake. "Good enough celebration for shooting a women at her wedding I guess. Kinda want to save the partiing for when we kill the Emperor instead." Perhapes it was simply because the Brotherhood hand't gotten such a contract in years, in that retrospect she coudl udnerstand why they were all in such good sprits. "Though now we have the security to start workign with, least that's what Astrid said anyway. Frankly I give her credit for knowing how to go about these things." Though her and Astrid had their slight 'issues' with one another as of late Sonja coudl admit the women coud command and cordinate with such ease.
Though they had a plan about what to do next it woudl take a day or so in order to get everythign cordinated, she had a feeling Astrid alreayd had somehtign in mind even this early in the plan.

Vilkas caught sight of the gaurd and yes he reconized the wood elf and knew alreayd she coudnt' have done it. Mainly because she had been sitting int he tavern when they were drinking.
"The women ins't envovled." Vilkas said walkign behidn the gaurd, frnakly the gaurds needed to be looking at people that acutlaly needed to be looked at.
"And who are yo- Oh! My aplogies Compaion! Right away!" The gaurd immedlaty clamped up and scurried off seeing Vilkas. Wathcign the gaurd walk off than at the female wood elf he gave her not another glance before shrugging and walkign off.
Farkas foudn Zev in the circled courtyard both seemignly finding nothing. "So ... no better luck to?" He asked which he alreayd knew the answer. Vilkas seemed to be still looking around more or less. With luck he woudl find somehting.""No sent at the pressumed sniped spot .. or anywhere for that matter."

Next Day

Astrid had been planning all night it seemed and she seemed to be on the very verge of of a break through her and Gabrella both. Sonja was looking over the letters that Moteree had given her along wiht varies maps that htey had aquired for more proper layouts. Tehy all worked sepertly yet together at the sametime. The previous night she fianlly ahd to bathe snese she coudlnt take the pwder makign her sneeze nealry every other minute it seemed. Festus was off squirling away on his own peice of the assignment which left Sonja, Bobette, Nazir and Veezara to act as agents int he field well Bobette mainly stayed.
'Can't we just break the Commander and make him cry?' She thaugh tlooking over the name of the head of Security, Commander Maro. "Or kill his son maybe?" She thaught while looking over the maps thinking it would be easier t just lsip into their barracks at night and slit their throats. "Nice try Keeper." She said suddnely feelign the slight prikclign of hairs on her neck. "I'm gtting better at hearing you."

The Twins the night before told Zev that he coudl have one bed while they shared hte other. They didn't really find it at all odd, they did that all the time. Vilkas woke up with Farkas burried agaisn this shoulder, no weird at all, and got out of the bed still half asleep. Appanrleyt Zev was an early riser and he gave him .. the weirdest look. "What? Your acitng like you've never seen brothers share anythign before." Him and Farkas .. had always been very close even to the point where others had made speculatiosn of their closenss. All of which were false but as they got oder they learned oddly enough that people thaught it was strange behavior wiht how often they shared everythign and were together, they still didn't see anythign wrong with it.

Sonja glanced over at Cicero than back down at her maps. "Not sense the first time. Though I"mnot sure how often she's supposed to speak to begin with." There were so many roads in Skyrim both main and back along with the Brothhood adding, on their own maps, locations that were deemed safe for hidding and shelter outside the Sancturary. Dragonbridge was the only Penitis Oculotous headquarters in Skyrim and the list of names had a Gaius Marro listed on it. Sadly that was all they currnelty had no possible schedules or anythign else. However that was what Gabrella and even Veezara were handling.
"Also been wonderign how many of these private locations are acutally usable anymore. Half of these are so isolated I woudn't be surpsied if bandits moved in." What looked like old forts and keeps long abondoned were marked as hidding places whether or nto they were even used presnelty was unknowable.

Vilkas shot Zev a cold glare hearing that. "I'd storngly advicse you not to." He began redressing himself in his armor when Farkas growled in his sleep indicatign he was awake though nto wanting to be. When it came ot sharing the other both borthers had ... problems with such things. Hell both him and Farkas had been literal hell raiser growing up whenever girls begna showing interest in the other. "Get up already." He told Farkas giving him a sound whack on hte head to get him moving.
Without looking Farkas aimed a light punch at his brother which only pariclaly connected as he pushed himself up. "You snore." He muttered shaking his head more akin to a dog as he got up. "Anyone else get shot today?" He asked more in genuine humor which Vilkas simply shrugged.

Four Days Later

They had a plan more or less of what needed to be done with Gaius Marro. Track him, kill him, and incriminate him. It was a wonderuflly diabalical plan Sonja had to admit. Assesing and reworking the vaires routs needed for scouting and tracking where beign touched up. Once more Astrid appointed her as to be the one to carry out the assassination, Arbjeon was clelayr very displeased and let Sonja know when he passed her in the hallway form the dinnign room. Astrid herself almsot seemed ot be mellowing out outwarldy anyway.
"I wouldn't recomend talkign to this one. Marro will already be alert to dnager and apprhcoign him will probalby spook him." Bobette offered up while Sonja's bonus require a city killingm nothign all tht difficult,m normally anyway.
"As long as he is killed in the Cities dear Sister the method of his deaht is entirley up to you." Gabrella put in while she seemed to be wokring on an enchanment of her own. "As I said the obnus shoudlnt' be passed up."
Teh dark elf was teasing her curiosity of which Sonja didn't mind honelsty. "Perhapes I'll use my irresistable charms on him." She laughed with the other two women at the joke.

Farkas and Zev had just finished up a job which envovled removing a necromancer formt he Falkreach region who had been terrizoring the locals. "Vilkas and Aela said they got a lead on what to do with those Witch heads." Farkas always found necromancers to be very unsettlign to fight next to vampires. "Also I heard that Urline has been working ont e fragments .. might evne have it reforged by now for all I know." Falkreach always made his hair, and fur, stnad on end the air aroudn the region was always dark and dead.
"Also .. don't let Vilkas's attitude towatd ya bother you he's like that to everyone more or less. It's not you." He tried reassuring the Regarud snese he knew his twin could be ... intimidating at times to others. "He'll wamr up to you in his own and time evntually."
