I've never thought about that. That is a pretty interesting concept. I agree though, as of now, I have yet to find any plot holes that need plugging or that could have been explained better. It's one of the very few shows that are that way.

I agree. I feel like Bryan Fuller has taken all the ideas of Hannibal and has imagined them in a way that I just can't wrap my head around but that I enjoy so very much. That's why I can't get into it from a writers perspective. Although, and this may sound really crazy, I get characters in my head and they talk to me and lead me through my stories. Currently I'm writing pretty much exclusively for Hawaii Five-O so I hear Danny's voice in my writing a lot, but recently as I've been searching for new case ideas for Five-O plots that I am working on, Hannibal speaks to me in a way that leads me to more serial cases where as before I was writing very robbery, police chase, detective kind of stories to play back plots to the true plot that I'm trying to portray. It is crazy isn't it?

That's not crazy at all. I can completely understand where you're coming from as a writer. Though, I have a very high respect for those people, like you, who can do stories that do revolve around certain kinds of cases, which if you'd link me I'd check out. I watch a lot of shows that revolve around law/cops/etc (Law and Order, Castle, Sherlock, Criminal Minds) and it really grinds my gears when people take the characters out of that element, which is why I loved the characters in the first place. But back to Bryan Fuller, I don't think I have any words for how amazing he is. The show, even if you take out some of the genius behind Dr. Hannibal and Will Graham, there's a lot of aspects that I just adore. His cases aren't one dimensional, like some shows, and they tie in together in some way, there's a steady flow of progression, basically. Then there's this whole imagery thing where we get to see things from Will's perspective and it just blows my mind.

I agree with you completely! I was on such a high for the first couple of weeks after the finale, and now I just wonder how any other show that i usually love watching is going to stand up to anything....

Are you familiar with the Characters from Five-0. I would love for you to read some of my stuff, I just wouldn't want to bore you if you aren't into that world.

Exactly how I feel. It's hard to find a show that even holds a penny compared to Hannibal. surprised

Actually, I used to watch it awhile back when it first came on. :3 Well, the re-air because isn't there a super really old version?

yes the original aired in the 60's and 70's. The first season of the reboot was the best - as it usually is - but it has gone down hill...sadly.

That's usually how it is with shows, first seasons are always really amazing, and then some how they start to drop off the cliff. My grandmother used to watch the reruns, I believe, of the old one. lol.

me too! god i feel so old. but i was really little and watched them with my dad. i don't remember much about the original show except that the theme song is the same.

I'm so worried that hannibal is going to fall into that mould and that season 2 is going to be disappointing.

so shall I add you as a friend and PM you some of my Five-O stuff?

I'm on the fence with Hannibal, my main worry is I hope they know when to stop and that they don't try to cater to the fans... like with Supernatural. Started out great... then it should have ended but they kept rolling with it and now it's kinda... bleh. Not too excited anymore because I know someone's going to die... and eventually be brought back.

biggrin I do believe that you should.

Hello! I'm MS, I'm two months from being 17 and I've been following the Hannibal show ever since it came out. And yes, my Tumblr is full of Hannibal posts and flowers so you can say I've become a huge fangirl of the show.
I haven't read the books but hopefully I'll find the time to read them after life gets a little less hectic. c:

I'm in season 7 too. I'm not into it enough to watch it weekly so I've been waiting on the DVD's. So i guess i'm not in a hurry to finish season seven because I need season eight in september and I have like one more dvd in the set to go...maybe two.

I had no idea how big it was or of all the shipping that was going on.
I hadn't even thought of the ships until it was pointed out to me.
Then I caught myself during Hannibal and Will scenes feeling all warm inside sometimes xD.
I was already starting to ship Will and Alana anyway though.

I don't have a tv with cable so I can't watch anything weekly, I'm one of those people who waits awhile after a shows been out (or unless it's really really good like Hannibal) and then just have a show marathon. Oh wow, so you nearly have all the DVDs?

The Hannibal and Will ship started a long time ago for me. Just how Hannibal speaks to will and makes him all uncomfortable in the book Red Dragon made me love them together heehee. I'm so morbid that way.
