 Rin Flint But all I ever wanted to do was to fall in love. Just to be in love.
But my heart was racing. My mind was screaming, "You've got your whole life to do these things." But my legs were shaking. My hands were searching Always searching Rin was surprised with how calm and how up front the young boy was. She looked at him, wondering what he could possibly want with her and the words that came out of his mouth made Rin's heart soar. She had never heard a master say those kind of things before and it surprised her as well as warmed her a bit. She still had a thick, hard shell of ice surrounding her, but it seemed like this boy was melting it ever so slightly. Curious, Rin wondered if she truly wanted to go with this boy or stay in this cell. She pondered for a bit, watching the boy rise and stretch before she stood up as well. Her long, elegant legs made themselves present and she was sure that it would get the attention of the young boy. After all, everyone had always loved her looks, but her legs were one of her best features. They were the reason so was so elegant in all of her movements. Even such a simple gesture as standing was elegant when it came to Rin. Looking at the young boy named Aries, she had decided. Bowing, Rin spoke. "I would love to accompany you, Master Aries. Please be as kind as to purchase me."
Rin stood up and then remembered that he had asked her what her species was before he had looked at her chart. He must have skipped over where it said it. "I'm a Wind Elemental, sir. A wind spirit." Rin was still cautious about this boy, but she wanted to get out of her cell with a burning passion that could not be described. He had even said she could roam the grounds! She had the chance to be out in the fresh air again and she would be able to use her powers and be free... Well, to a certain extent. Still, it would be glorious just to be able to dance in the wind once again. The thought of it almost made Rin want to sing! She hadn't sung in years and the fact that she had the desire to was extremely surprising to her. She had gone so long without singing because she felt she didn't deserve to. Rin quickly cleared her head of all thoughts to make sure she was paying attention to Aries. If he had said something and she misses it, she was sure that he wouldn't be pleased with having to repeat himself. Rin was finally going to get out of this dreadful place. She could practically feel the wind blowing through her hair and an air of excitement began to surround Rin who kept her face clear of emotion. Most people thought of her as a doll that shouldn't act out. OOC: It's totally fine because I understand. I'm a full time student and work part-time so my chances to get on here are starting to begun slim. I'll try to reply and be active as much as I can

However, it was the practically inaudible hum that came from the young woman made the young man think otherwise. Sure, for any untrained ear, it may sound like humming from the electricity or even a fan; but of course he was a smidge bit different--just a hair-line fracture of a difference. Giving a glance to the guard, he gestured his head. As the guard opened up the door completely, which was approximately when the young woman introduced herself as Leilani, the young furrowed his eyebrows curiously. Once he was inside the room completely, the guard shut the door, but did not lock it. "That, honestly, would have been my second question. Maybe third, depending if a follow-up was needed."
Moving to where he shifted his weight against the dresser-drawers, the young man crossed his arms a little bit before watching Leilani curiously as she looked out the window. "A lament of a loved one?" He gestured to the floor where she once sat, as if the notes still physically linger there. "Your tune, that is." Having a feeling she would be either appalled by the notion of him actually hearing it or even speaking of it, he gave a gentle smile. "Obviously nothing like that sort, but there have been hopeful sorrow in music I have heard in my life; but nothing since I was a little boy. Even then, I do not recall much of it as Father wanted it out from his own life, therefore mine." Idly pulling at small locks of the ash-brown hair, he vertically lounged against the dresser-drawers as if the two had been friends for so many years. Releasing his hair, he finally looked back to the young woman and gave another gentle smile.
"Altin McCormick, by the by. Dude at the desk said one number, guard here sent me here to a different number; but I kind of dig you." Obviously, there was some cockiness in his attitude, but it most certainly did not shine through as much as his honesty did. "Not only that, but I would find it entertaining to see Darian's face to find out there will be not one, but two musical talents in the house." If Leilani could not notice until now, Altin liked to talk with his hands as well. When he spoke of one, he had a singular index finger out, but pointing to himself; but then he rolled his wrist for the second finger to pop up and out in the air. ♠♥♣♦♠♥♣♦♠♥♣♦♠♥♣♦♠♥♣♦♠♥♣♦♠♥♣♦♠♥♣♦♠♥♣♦♠♥♣♦♠♥♣♦♠♥♣♦♠♥♣♦♠♥♣♦♠♥♣♦ ¿Donde? → The Hotel ¿Con Quien? → Leilani ¿Llevando? → Outfit of Choice ¿Sentimiento? → Amused

Takeshi settled back on the bed, securing his towel around his lower half so he wouldn't be exposing himself to Asa as they spoke. It was already embarrassing enough that he had let his form be seen only moments before, but since Asa didn't seem to mind or care, Takeshi put it from his mind, and listened as Asa spoke. He wondered what this man needed protection from, and though Takeshi didn't know how well he could be a guard, it would be better to try that then be stuck in this place for any longer. "Well, I can control my powers pretty well..of course, I can't do much in this place." It was true, while in the confines of the hotel, Takeshi wasn't able to do much with his powers, he figured slaves would be escaping left and right if the hotel didn't negate their powers with the collars about their necks. Takeshi could do a few tricks, but his full power was under wraps while in the hotel. "I can create fire, I can embolden it, I can create heat and steam and many other things besides.."
Takeshi wasn't sure what Asa meant by 'it must have been the vampire,' and so he said nothing, just tilted his head slightly to the side, watching Asa as the man pondered, looking frail and sickly. Now that Takeshi thought about it, perhaps this man did need some guarding, or at least some help walking from one side of the room to the other. Better to have this sickly man as a master than some angry, mean guy or gal. Asa's out loud wondering made Takeshi quirk a slim red brown in curiosity. Asa's face had the stains of blood about his eyes, across his cheeks and all, but Takeshi saw no sign of actual bleeding. ~Does he bleed every time? And from his eyes no less, that can't be comfortable..~ And then Asa was confessing, the man was a healer, and Takeshi found that to be a rather noble profession, though by the looks of Asa, a rather hard burden to carry. Though Takeshi wished to see this man's healing in action, Takeshi had no ailments to speak of and so he left his curiosity unsated.
"Well sir, I've never protected anyone, but I can sure give it my best shot!" Takeshi leaned forward then, gazing at Asa, unsure if the man was about to faint and face plant against the floor.

☦ ☦ ☦ ☦ ☦ ☦⊰────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────⊱ ☦⊰────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────⊱Flynn smirked slightly as the puny human went to call for back-up. What could they possibly do to him, well, that they hadn't already done to him? He was a dragon, after all, and dragons knew no fear...
The red-haired dragon blinked slightly at the appearance of the female from behind the guard. He hadn't noticed her until that moment, even though she had been there all along and she was... well, obviously not human. Why hadn't he noticed her earlier? With his heightened senses, he should have noticed her...
Before Flynn could react any further, she was right there in front of him... Practically in his face, in fact. "I... uh... well... uh..." he stammered out, becoming all flustered as she plucked a bit of comforter fluff out of his hair, his face turning several shades of red. Before he could regain his composure enough to get an actual response out, though, she was off... again.
"Does she ever stay in one place for more than five seconds?" the red-haired dragon thought to himself while blinking after her. He spluttered slightly at the shock in the guard's voice. "And what the hell is wrong with me?!" he demanded in outrage, smoke starting to drift from his nostrils, which only got worse when his words were ignored by both girl and guard. He absolutely hated being ignored!
What truly sent him over the edge, though, was when she turned around and called him "Flinty". His orange eyes glaring angrily at her, he snapped, "No, it is not 'Flinty'. My name is Flynn. Got it? Flynn!" He continued his rant by saying, "How would you like it if I called you Cameron or... or... Cammity?" Was that even a name? He didn't care. Point was, he hated being called "Flinty".
Still very much irritated, Flynn added snappishly, "And what even makes you think that I would want to go with you? Hmmm? Did you even think to ask my opinion on the matter?!" Perhaps he should have stopped and considered his words before speaking them... But he was a dragon, and dragons weren't exactly well-known for being even-tempered beings. And he was young, so that made him even more undisciplined at times...
He balked, however, when she turned tear-filled eyes on him. That was not something he was used to, or even prepared to deal with. "I... I... I..." he stammered out, trying to think of something, anything to say to her. Heck, he even looked to the guard as if the puny human might have the answer. What could he say to her?! He was at a loss for words for several long moments, until words left his mouth that he had never uttered before. "I'm... sorry..." ⊰────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────⊱

She hadn't known he didn't like that and had honestly not remembered what his name was, having only briefly scanned it before just seeing he was a dragon and wanting to see him. He was yelling at her by the time he was done and she wasn't quite sure what to do. Why she thought he'd want to go with her, Camarin didn't know. She guessed she thought that he'd want to leave this place and would be happy to get to go with someone who wasn't going to use him for a toy. Biting her lip, she looked down to her feet when he continued his rant and pointed out that no one had asked his opinion on if he'd want to go with her or not. It was obvious the guard was about to call for backup to drag him down into one of the basement rooms at his point.
Camarin looked up at him when he was finished, ready to apologize and just leave him be, then. If he wanted to stay, then he could stay. Blinking a few times, her eyes shiny with tears, the girl was about to say she was sorry when he...he beat her to it. Her eyes went wide when he apologized, missing the guard's helpless shrug when he'd looked over her head at the man as if to ask for help. "I'm - I'm sorry too," she said quietly, wiping at her eyes before any of the tears fell. Realizing her horn was showing, she blushed and closed her eyes for a minute, concentrating. In a few moments her horn disappeared, just faded from view. When her eyes opened, they weren't the same color, either.
The guard decided to leave then, closing the door quietly behind him. It didn't seem like either of them needed his help, at least for the moment, so he just waited outside in the hall.
Perhaps taken aback by her apology as much as he had been her tears, the dragon rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly and looked over at the window, the ceiling, anywhere to avoid looking at her. "So...where do you live?" he asked finally. Blinking, the girl looked up at him and shifted on her feet.
"Umm...nowhere?" she guessed. He blinked at that. "What do you mean, nowhere?" he asked indignantly, as if offended. She shrugged a little bit. "I just left my home. So...humans have houses, then? "Of course humans have houses!" he snapped, sounding like he was more annoyed than anything else at the moment. Blinking, she brushed some of her hair out of her eyes and looked around, as if trying to figure out if this was what humans had. "Why do you want me to go with you?" he finally asked in irritation.
Camarin blinked at the thought, as if she hadn't expected him to answer that. "Um...well, I was told that girls shouldn't really go off on their own in this world. And that I could find someone to help me and go with me so I can see things!" she explained cheerfully, smiling widely at him. "And I thought a dragon would be nice to talk to!"

☦ ☦ ☦ ☦ ☦ ☦⊰────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────⊱ ☦⊰────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────⊱Flynn blinked slightly, repeating her words back slowly, "You thought a dragon would be nice..." He thought about it for a few seconds before he exploded, "Where the hell did you get that idea? Dragons are not nice! We are..." He paused as he tried to think of an appropriate word to use to describe what a dragon was, but failed, so he finished with, "As far from being nice as possible!"
Feeling as if he were on some kind of roll, the red-headed dragon continued on to say, "Do you know how many humans were killed bringing me in here? A hundred! No, wait, a thousand! Yeah, I ripped and tore them to shreds, and..." He trailed off when she simply stared at him with wide-eyes. It was almost like she could tell he was lying...
Fidgeting slightly, he asked a little gruffly, "What?" After a long pause where she simply stared at him some more, he asked again, "What?!" When she just continued to stare at him, he finally broke down and said, "Oh, fine! I didn't kill anyone! But I would have if I had been awake..." He mumbled the last part, looking down at the ground.
After being silent for a few seconds, Flynn sighed and asked, "I suppose you want me to help you find a place out in the human world... That will take some time, and money..." His eyes narrowing slightly, he looked at the young female suspiciously while asking, "You do have money... Right?"
It would be just his luck if she didn't have any... After all, his kind were sent out on their own without a single penny to their names... They were expected to acquire their own treasure hoard. Was it the same for other creatures? He didn't have a clue... He could have perhaps given her directions to where his own hoard was hidden, but... he had a feeling that the dragon scavengers had already found it and taken most, if not all of what he had had to his name. His heart kind of... ached at the thought of all that treasure he had worked so hard to accumulate as being gone... It sucked!!!
Slumping slightly and feeling quite depressed, Flynn mumbled, "Let's go..." Walking to the door, he opened it... Or at least tried to, but it wouldn't budge. "Oh, come on!" he whined, then waited for her to open the door. He then stepped out... only to get a leash clipped to the loop on his collar. The dragon reared back slightly, complaining loudly, "Hey! What gives?! I'm not going to run away!"
"Sorry," the guard said with a shrug, not sounding the least bit apologetic as he continued, "It is policy for the dangerous ones to remain on a leash until they leave the premises. What the owner does outside is completely up to them. I recommend keeping this one on a leash, though." This last comment was directed at the pink-haired woman, and the guard offered her the other end of the leash... The man wasn't being entirely honest, though; a leash was only optional, not required. But they didn't know that, did they? The dragon just... made the man feel a little uncomfortable, and he didn't like the thought of the beast wandering around without a leash. Besides, this was sort of revenge for creating such a mess that he would be expected to clean up...
Flynn fumed, glaring at the man while smoke drifted from his nostrils. If only he had access to his fire... He would burn the impudent human to a crisp! Perhaps he should try eating him? He tilted his head to the side as he considered that option... The red-haired dragon blinked slightly when he felt a sort of jerk on the other end of the leash, and he looked down at the female beside him, who was looking... slightly ill. Frowning slightly, he asked a little gruffly, "Are you okay?" ⊰────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────⊱

By the Gods, was she bored! Bastet sat in the back of her limousine, her face cradled in the palm of one hand while she gazed out of the window at the building, the cat goddess idly drumming her fingers on the seat while the driver looked for a place to park. "Apologies, Ms Massri," the man said, "It appears to be quite busy today." The goddess sighed at that before sliding her blue eyes away from the view out the window and fixing them on the driver. "Just get us there already," she said a little bit snappishly, "I could have gotten there faster if I had walked..." Now that she thought of it though... She could just walk the rest of the way.
Which was exactly what she was going to do! Opening the door to the limo, Bastet slipped outside, ignoring the driver's calls after her. "Ms Massri!" Moving silently despite her heels, the cat goddess made her way toward the entrance to the hotel. Pausing briefly to look up at the slightly cloudy sky, she couldn't help but think to herself, "I hope it doesn't rain today..." She hated the rain... Absolutely hated it... It would be the perfect way to ruin her day.
Glaring at the clouds as if that would scare off any raindrops, Bastet turned on her heels and stalked into the hotel lobby... And came to a stop inside as she paused to admire the decor. She did like luxury, and this place practically overflowed with it. Feeling satisfied that she had come to the right place, the cat goddess made her way to the front desk to check in, and an annoyingly cheerful receptionist handed her some sort of form to fill out. Starting to fill out the form with her alias' information, she had to resist the urge to claw out the girl's eyes as she cheerfully chatted away. Cheerful people like this reminded the Egyptian goddess of dogs... And she hated dogs... But it wouldn't look good at all to kill the girl, so she would just have to cope and finish filling out the form as fast as possible.
Finally finishing her form after what felt like an eternity of torture, but was actually just a few minutes, Bastet waited impatiently while the woman typed in the information onto the computer, the goddess drumming her fingers on the counter while she waited. Did it really take this long to find a match for her?! She probably could have gone wandering around and found herself a slave a lot faster than this was taking.
"Finally!" Bastet thought as a bell boy came over to guide her to her destination, and she had to force herself to go at a sedate pace as she followed him and was handed off to a guard for guidance. And then she was taken on what she felt was a tour of the property, as she was introduced to slave after slave... All of which she found to be incredibly boring. "Boring!" she would say as she looked at them and turned to walk out of the room, the guard running to catch up with her. She lost count of how many slaves she had seen and subsequently turned down...
"Perhaps you will like this next one?" the guard said hopefully as they made their way down a hallway in the rare section, "Very gentle... Will be good in a hospital setting, I think." Bastet came to a stop, having to take a deep breath to control her annoyance. She had had quite enough with going with their suggestions on what she might like! Now it was her turn! Pointing at a random door, she asked, "How about that one? May I see that one?" She didn't have the foggiest clue what was behind those doors, but her way had to be a much better way in the end.
The guard stopped and turned to see where she was pointing, and blanched slightly. "Not that one, Ms Massri," he said a little nervously, "He's too dangerous. He's a killer." That immediately caught the cat goddess's attention, causing her curiosity to perk up. "Really?" she mused, "Dangerous, you say?" Beaming at the man, she declared, "I want to meet him!" Before he could stop her, she turned and opened the door where this "dangerous" slave was located. How bad could he be, anyways? She was a goddess, for crying out loud!

 ஆ I felt the darkness as it tried to pull me down, The kind of dark that haunts a hundred year old house, I wrestle with my thoughts I shook the hand of doubt, Running from my past I'm praying feet don't fail me now! ஆ
~~~~~~☽~☾ Blake ☽~☾  Blake hated waiting more than anything. He had been patiently waiting all of his life. He had watched other people wait as they were entering the Underworld. Blake thought it was all so boring and he just wanted things to move faster. He thought about the Titanic and what happened to the people aboard the ship. He had bought his ticket and was planning to sail to America. He had liked Europe, but he wanted to start a new life. Conveniently, the girl he fancied had been going to America too and he was hoping that he could persuade her into letting him court her. That was the way of things back then and he almost wished that they were like that now. Almost. Blake had not been surprised when the ship began to sink. Afterall, the entire thing was doomed to fail once they had decided to name it the Unsinkable Ship. Something was bound to happen.
Blake had managed to get the girl on a boat and he eventually found his own. Being of higher class had it's benefits and so Blake watched as the ship sunk and the people stayed screaming the freezing water. He watched as the hope of man failed and people simply sat by and did nothing while thousands of other died. It was no surprise to him when Thanatos showed up and began bringing people down to the Underworld. It was his duty after all to maintain the Doors of Death and to guide people once they had died. Blake didn't stick around for the rest of the show after that. His father summoned him and he returned to the Underworld where all he had to do was wait around.
Blake paced his cell. He hated waiting! He hated the stupid chains he had around his neck! He hated everything! Blake began to tear apart his room. The temperature dropped in the room quickly and Blake destroyed everything he could touch. He didn't care if he was punished. He just wanted to do something. He wanted to feel something. He could see his breath in puffs of cloud as he exhaled and when he heard the door open he was fully prepared to tackle whoever was coming through it. Blake stood breathing heavily as he watched a woman enter the room. He paused for a moment and then stood up straight. He hadn't been expecting that and he most certainly regretted destroying the room now. If he had a chance of getting out of this dreadful place, he probably just blew it. he knew he could straighten the place up with a wave of his hand, but he didn't want to guards to see him do it. Even though the chains around his neck absorbed powers, he was still able to control some of his. He could perform small magic, like restoring the room, but couldn't do anything extravagant. Blake simply stood and stared at the woman, waiting for her to speak or turn around and leave. ஆI got these questions always running through my head So many things that I would like to understand If we are born to die and we all die to live Then what's the point of living life if it just contradicts?ஆOut. Of. Choices: I like it a lot! ^^ Definitely shows how she is
She was able to sense his nature and knew there wasn't a bad sort of bone in his body. If there had been, he'd make her ill. Even his boasting had no effect - she could tell it was lies, of course, but he was hardly doing it to be malicious. So she just watched him, smiling happily at having a friend to be with her, her hands clasped behind her back. While she didn't say he was adorable, she was certainly thinking it. It was like a child, boasting to make himself seem more important, more impressive, and she wondered how old he was in dragon years. And she didn't really think he would have killed anyone if he'd been awake, but she kept that opinion to herself.
At the question of money, she nodded. "Oh, yes, I have money! Our clan has an account that we share when we go out into the world, so I don't have to worry about funding myself, or anyone with me," Camarin added, so he knew she didn't expect him to have to pay for himself. That would just be ridiculous. Besides, how else would she bring him with her if she didn't have money? She wasn't that silly, as this was clearly a place of business and not pleasure, despite why someone would buy a slave here. That just wouldn't make any sense to her at all. The female almost grabbed his hand, but then told herself he probably wouldn't really appreciate that. Well, once they were out of the hotel she'd do as she liked, but she didn't want to go out of her way to embarrass him here, sure he was touch enough.
Camarin watched curiously as he went over to the door and tried to open it, tucking some hair behind her ears. That was...not really surprising, otherwise how would they keep the creatures here? Going over and reaching around him, she opened the door easily and followed him out, blinking when the guard stepped past her and clipped a leash to the collar on his neck. She frowned, not liking the gesture that was so degrading and in her opinion, unnecessary as well. Flynn wasn't going to hurt her, he wasn't dangerous - at least not in the sense they seemed to claim he was, she was sure of that. Besides, it should be her decision.
Now, Flynn's boasting hadn't affected her at all. But the guard's lie about the 'policy' was made with malicious intent, wanting revenge for the mess the dragon had made, and Camarin took the leash without comment as she stared up at him with her bright eyes. It was an expressionless sort of face, without any sort of inflection that suggested what she was thinking, but would have been unnerving to anyone faced with it. Something the flatness of it was judgement enough and the man cleared his throat, taking a few steps back and gesturing for her to head down the hall. He wanted her to leave, and take the troublemaker with her, very much for some sudden reason.
Glancing up at the dragon, having not meant to jerk the leash, Camarin was a bit pale and looked ill, as he'd thought, and knew she did. "I don't do very well around malicious lies," she replied softly, her grip on the leash having tightened to keep herself from leaning. Instead she took a step closer and leaned against Flynn's arm for a moment, reaching up and unclipping the leash without comment. She handed it back to the guard without looking at him, simply holding her hand out for him to take it, and took the dragon's hand. He was nice and warm compared to her suddenly-cold and clammy hand, different from how she had felt earlier, and she held it tightly as if supporting herself. "Let's go, we can get you whatever you need once I pay," Camarin said softly.
It was abundantly clear another reason why she would need someone with her. There were plenty of people who lied to cause trouble, to hurt, to escape punishment - all sorts of 'malicious' reasons rather than white lies to spare someone's feelings - and they would all make her sick and ill, some even to the point of incapacitating her. If that happened, she'd be at the mercy of whomever wished to use her and that would be when Flynn's presence would be a necessity, rather than simply company for her as she traveled. The female quietly went down the hall, keeping his hand in hers and not caring if he was embarrassed. She needed the physical contact to steady herself while they walked and she was silent as they went down the elevator to the lobby, where she paid for him and they were soon outside. "I can't take your collar off while we're on the Hotel grounds, so just tell me where you want to go and we'll take a cab there. I'll take if off once we're driving," Camarin told him quietly, releasing her grip on his hand as they were outside in the fresh night air.
Sandals placed on the floor in front of the pretty white chair that had been gently pulled over to rest between the bed and window, a figure clad in a brightly designed dress sat hugging her knees to her chest as bare toes wriggled a little bit. Watching the sun from the hotel window, the tropical trees and the gardens of the hotel visible from her room, Calanthe was feeling alright. Being stuck in the white room wasn't too horrible, at least they fed her nice food and she had a nice bath to soak in, but it was still a pain compared to being free. Feet twitching a little at the thought of running free in grass again, Cally sighed gently, chin coming forward to rest on her knees. Reaching over to the bedside table just within her reach, a spring of spearmint was plucked from it's top and promptly placed in the corner of Cally's mouth. Chewing on herbs was something the woman loved most, and her two favourites were peppermint and spearmint. Lemon basil was another favourite, the slight lemony tang was quite uplifting during the late afternoon when she was feeling a little bit lazy. There was only a few things that Cally had asked for and actually managed to get since being in the hotel; the sprigs of herbs, water with slices of lemon in it, and a purely raw food diet. While she didn't eat pork, beef or lamb, she did eat poultry and fish because they were easy to catch on her island home.
Almost like the hotel had been reading her thoughts, a knock at her door sounded and a guard holding a food tray let himself in. Perking up a little, the hybrid spirit got off her chair and hovered near the table, waiting for the guard to leave so she could eat her lunch; a raw food salad with a juicy nectarine and large glass of water with lemon. There was a small dish of honey, which was something new, and it was quite a nice surprise. Hovering by the table, it tool Calanthe a few moments before she finally sat down to enjoy her lunch. It had taken her a week to stop eating on the bed, since little morsels of salad or fruit left behind weren't things that the woman liked to wake up to; when something squishy wakes you up in the middle of the night, it tends to scare the living daylights out of her. So after learning her lesson, Cally stuck mainly to the table, unless her salad was in a bowl, then she nibbled on it while sitting at her chair in front of the window. While the hotel represented something that wasn't exactly a happy memory or lifestyle, the hybrid spring-rain spirit found some sense of solace in the fact they took rather good care of her. She had her own bathroom, they had allowed her to keep the small satchel bag of clothes she'd accumulated over time, and most of all they didn't force her to eat red meat - the very thought of the few people that had tried to make her made Calanthe shudder in disgust.
Dipping the last remains of the nectarine in the dish of honey (along with her fingers), the chipper little spirit felt quite happy. Disappearing into the bathroom to wash her hands and mouth to get rid of any sweet, sticky traces of honey, Cally looked at herself in the mirror. She hadn't aged a day, and she still looked like the young adult her kind seemed to permanently embody. Touching the lace collar around her neck, she gently ran her fingers across each charm - Heart, Book, Ballet Shoes, Tree, Bow & Arrow, Music Note. The bow and arrow was the charm she tended to linger on, just because for someone that was as gentle and easy-going as herself, it showed that she had this deep strength about her. She could fight, and well. If someone could gain her trust, then Cally knew she would fight tooth, nail, hoof and horn to keep them safe and protected. Of course, she'd much rather defend another creature of nature than a human, especially after what they had done to her and her kind, but if it came to it and one could win her trust... Stranger things had happened. Leaving the bathroom, the spirit returned to sit on her chair in the sun again, once more hugging her knees and resting her chin atop them, toes wriggling in the light.
A knock at the door made the spirit jump, as well as making her realise she had actually dozed off in the chair. Jumping to her feet, she clutched her hands to her chest as the door opened. "Oh, apologies sir, this appears to be the wrong room... I guess I read the name wrong. Thought it said something else... I don't think this spirit is what you're after..." The guards words trailed off as the door began to shut, but Cally stepped forward; there was something about the way the guard spoke that made her curious, not to mention this was the first possible chance she'd had at getting out in a long while. "What's he after? Maybe I can help?" Speaking up so boldly wasn't something Calanthe was used or - likewise it wasn't something she generally did - and it even stopped the guard from closing the door. "I don't think you can help, doll. You're not a defender..." Before the guard could finish, Cally pipped up again. "But I can fight! And well! That's why I have the bow and arrow charm!" Pointing to her collar, smiling brightly, the guard just stared. Looking past the guard to the male waiting behind, she offered up a kind smile. "Sir, what do you need defending from? I could possibly help you? I'm not as frail as I seem!" Still hovering in the middle of the room, Calanthe eyed the male over with her bright blue eyes. If he'd just stop and talk to her for a moment, maybe he'd see she could be useful, and she'd finally get outside to be in the sun again. Turning to the male, the guard shrugged his shoulders. "You can stay and talk to her if you want, or you can go see another. It's your choice."
XXXXXXXX◈My DESPAIR is lessxxxxxxxxxx════════════════════ XXXXXXXXXXXXXdespair ⋱xx══════════════════════ XXXXXas it is` boredomxxxxxxxxxxxxxx═════════════════════ x x There was no driver to tell to wait around for her. Rosemond had her own car for when she wanted to go into town where she lived. For this trip, she'd taken a taxi and paid without comment on the price. Her father was going to be picking up this tab, after all, though he didn't know it yet. But it seemed appropriate, since he had pushed her into this to start with. So she hummed a bit as she went into the Hotel that rose above her like a magnificent mansion, heels clicking on the tile. Her ears were straight up, betraying her anxiety, though no one who didn't know her could have guessed that. Not with the way she was practically strutting over to the massive desk in the lobby, making small talk in her heavy accent with the woman who handed her the papers to fill out, giving her a thin smile. Normally the bunny girl would be a bit more chatty, but her thoughts were consumed with what she was about to do. She had never openly defied her father before now and this was quite a plunge for the young woman.
Her hips were swaying a bit, her legs going for miles in the miniskirt and heels she wore, and she knew it. It gave her more confidence, looking good. Wasn't that why women wore lingerie, after all? No one knew but them and it added a swagger to their walk throughout their mundane days. Well, Rosemond wore what she liked, when she liked, although she hadn't worn many bright colors since her mother passed away. Wearing black like she was made her seem like some delicate artist, and that was how she wanted to appear. Something fragile, delicate, that had to be protected. It seemed the best way to find someone here, she had decided, and they could just deal with her attitude once they were home with her. What was important was finding someone with some alpha-male complex, she had decided, who wouldn't appreciate having some soft-spoken, smug pretty-boy around. It seemed the perfect solution. And once everything was taken care of, they could go on their merry way.
It seemed like a fine idea in her head, as she filled out her paperwork and returned it. Surprised by how fast the computer returned some matches, Rosemond blinked and took them from the woman. Nothing struck her right off the bat and she went to sit down with them to flip through it all. There wasn't many in her hand, but enough she wasn't sure where to start. "Hmmm....celui-ci semble intéressant," she murmured to herself, brushing some hair back from her face as she pulled out one paper. A lion...at first she thought they meant a shapeshifter and had made a mistake, but his history was...interesting. As was his personality. He had a few traits she was looking for, but nothing really else. "Eh bien, il ne fera pas mal à aller voir et découvrir," she decided with a shrug, getting to her feet and shuffling the papers around in her hands as she went over to the elevators. "I would like to see him," she said, showing the bellboy the paper. He nodded and brought her to the correct wing. Where, she had no idea, looking around and blinking at the large man in the suit who met her to escort her to the room. Were they dangerous?
The guard knocked before the opening the door for her, gesturing for her to go in. Peering in, Rosemond took a few steps inside and flicked her hair off her shoulders. "Hello?" she said, before spotting. How she'd missed him, it was impossible to say, since he was a foot taller than her. Well, without her ears being counted. "Oh, vous êtes vraiment grand. Et vous ne regardez pas un peu comme un lion," she mused, pursing her lips as she walked closer to him.
I Wa n t Y o u S o V e r y B a d ! ! ! Something smelled good. He didn't know what it was, but it smelled delicious, and he wanted to have a bite rather dearly. Small rounded ears poked out of his black hair, almost unnoticeable due to the state that his hair was always in. Tail slipped out barely above the waistline of his pants, the only thing that really clothed his body was his pants, he disliked shirts, they were constraining when he tried to move, not that the pants were any better. The maids wouldn't come in if he wasn't at least partially decent, and he liked the maids a lot, not that he could really get what he truly wanted out of them. Biting his lip as he imagined the skirts wavering, showing only small glimpses of where what he wanted lay hidden. Shaking his head as he breathed in again, he could smell it still, warm blooded, soft, and it smelled delicious. It had stayed in the lobby for awhile, he could smell it, and then it started to stray closer. Body crouching down next to the bed as he felt his feral instincts kick in, his unnatural pointy teeth would show as he would start to pant a bit. Pulse rising as excitement made his body tense up, almost immediately he would hear the door knob jiggle, he crouched down further as if getting ready to pounce. The door opened and a fairly short woman with a delicious scent stepped in, he stood up fully and his eyes sharpened on her, "You look delicious...." he mumbled moving closer to her, easily standing over her as he breathed in her scent. The guards didn't seem to mind it, he did it to the maid's all the time, he knew not to touch, "Virgin." he'd snicker before offering a bright smile, having completely ignored anything she said prior.
Aelrot would back up a little when the guards signaled he needed to be a little more distant, he would look a bit sad, but would back off. He felt like heat was radiating off his body, which it probably was, after all he wasn't used to how humans actually were, even the maids thought he had a fever when he first came, but no it was just natural. Taking a seat on the bed as he looked towards the woman, his tail disappearing as he breathed in and out slowly, "I...want to eat you...." he'd mumble towards her before smiling, "Not in the way you think...." he'd snicker not sure exactly which way she thought he meant, either way it wouldn't matter, she came in here for a reason. Bright warm eyes stared at her with a hidden look of want, he would tilt his head when the guards would watch him expectantly. Looking at the tall bunny girl with a look of expectation, she was very gorgeous, long legs with soft looking skin, he would stare at her skirt the most though, completely losing thought of everything else. If he could have, he would have drooled, he wanted to be up that skirt very badly right now, and sadly he wasn't allowed to, not here anyways. Nothing would stop him if she bought him though.
XXXXXXXX◈My DESPAIR is lessxxxxxxxxxx════════════════════ XXXXXXXXXXXXXdespair ⋱xx══════════════════════ XXXXXas it is` boredomxxxxxxxxxxxxxx═════════════════════ x x Oh. He had ears like hers and they were adorable! Blinking, she watched his tail for a moment before he moved and sat down. She blinked at his remarks, not quite sure she had heard correctly, and tilted her head a bit. "Pardon?" she asked, but he didn't reply. Shrugging a bit, she raised a hand and brushed some hair from her eyes and peering at him. He was...surprisingly adorable, all things considered, and she smiled faintly. He didn't scare her - and she thought a 'bodyguard' sort of person would do that to her. Instead he was sort of...snuggly, at least to her. Rosemond wasn't innocent, not exactly, but it was more of a coddled naivety. She'd been sheltered her whole life and this was really the first time she had any sort of interaction with someone not on her father's list of approved 'suitors'. Humming a bit, the bunny girl walked up to where he sat on the bed. He was watching her with the oddest sort of look and she wasn't sure what it meant. But it didn't worry her. He couldn't hurt her here and he wasn't a violent sort of being anyway, so she wasn't concerned about that.
"So! I am needing someone to, ah...hm. Discourage men," she said with a smile, clasping her hands behind her back in a business-like fashion. "All you really have to do is keep who I tell you to away from me and we are peachy." It was straightforward enough, she reasoned, and pursed her lips as she looked at him. Her stomach was flat and bare, the skirt low on her hips and her top only a little bit past her breasts, resting snugly on her ribs. "These are just too adorable!" she said excitedly, leaning forward to gently rub the ears poking up through the tufts of fur around them. She grinned a bit, pulling away after a minute. "So, do you want to come with me, then? I won't make you," Rosemond added with a shrug, willing to go find someone else if he wanted to stay here.
