Laxion thought Military Procedures would be a boring subject to her? Had he never met her? She was trained for several years to serve as weapon that would possible be used for the military purposes. She didn't train practice them anymore of course, but memories of the exhausting training never faded. The masculine male had almost spilled his milk all over the velvet black cushion when he abruptly made himself comfortable on the furniture. Ruby wouldn't have been to thrilled to help him clean up the stick milky substance. He hoped she behaved herself when he was gone because last time he left she really did cause collateral damage by accident. "No, I just practiced my light magic. I still can't expand it like Entei wants me to. It seems like I'll never advance to the next level like you." Ruby chuckled to lighten up the mood.

Her red eyes glimmered in the fire as she turned to her partner. His scar was covered at the moment because he knew it was hard for her to stare at it without blaming herself. She wondered if she should bring up the dream she had last night, but bit her lip. "After you drink that milk, what would you like to do?" The albino replied as she turned back to the dancing multicolored flames. She was staling to go to bed so she hoped Laxion would amaze her and play along.

Ruby wasn't sure if his comment contained adult content or he needed someone to tuck him in. The catchy beat from his cell clashed against the silent atmosphere. The albino wanted desperately to know who text him, but didn't have enough courage to ask. Suddenly, Laxion became rather enthusiastic when he turned on the radio to listen to this pop star, Demi Lovato, sing. Her voice a soothing and her friend thought it would be a great idea to go see the concert some time.

It took Ruby a couple of minutes to reply and with a smile she said, "She would have liked that." She could tell Laxion was contemplating something because his expressions changed every few seconds. Her couldn't tell weather he was content or saddened by some forgot memories. The girl stood up, walked over to him, and slipped her warmth hands under his. "Dance with me?" The girl had no idea how to dance or the name of a dance move, but she knew that he male partner would lead.

Ruby was sad from being rejected, but she really couldn't blame him because she was just about at his education level when it came to the art of dancing. Her grip on his hands started to loosen when suddenly he scratched his head and his elegantly slipped off his shoulder to cascade down his back. This gesture wouldn't have been a big deal if he hadn't been hiding this repulsive rash from her. Her eyes widened in horror and automatically she assumed the worse fate for her friend. She grabbed his wrists to confined him to the couch until he told her everything.

"How long has that been there? Has it been bothering you!? Why were you trying to hide it from me!? Answer me, dammit!"It was more of an interrogation than a chatting session. Her eyes narrows as she looked straight into his, they would drift to the rash every few seconds. Half of the infection was covered by his collar, but the portion should could see scared her.

Laxion didn't sound very convincing, but she had no reason not to believe his story. However, she wasn't stupid and knew for a fact that he was lying to her. She was scared that maybe the rash could be somehow connected to his scar. He probably didn't mention the aflection knowing the she would react this way. If it true was something serious the monks would have aided him by this point before he's exposed to further risk. Still she wasn't a child and could handle the news to whatever it may be. Pulling back, turned away ashamed of herself for acting so protective or someone eight years older than her. "Your right. I guess...I'm worried over nothing. I should go." Walking over to the fireplace, she slipped her feet into her armored exterior boots, and trotted towards the door.

Mostly the reason she was scared was because the dream she had last night was about him. He was covered in blood and grasping desperately for air and she was to far away to save him. She clutched her hands into fist as she stopped at the door frame. Where the hell was she going to go? She was afraid to leave him especially after what she assumed was a premonition in her dream. Kicking off her boots in frustration, she ran up stairs and slammed the door to her vacant room. There was nothing in it, not even a bed or dresser. She never used the bed to sleep in and the dresser was pointless since she didn't own other pieces of clothing.

Laying on the cold floor instead of in front of the fireplace, she squeezed her eyes shut. Laxion would either come or leave her be until she started screaming from the nightmares.

She foot steps echo up the stairs and down the corridor towards her room. Ruby was curled up into a little secure ball, her eyes reminded shut but she couldn't block out the world like she wanted. There was no escape from reality no matter how much she pretended there was one. Laxion knocked at her door and hesitated to enter and when he spoke it was just as convincing as the last time. She stood up, walked over to the door, and opened it letting it swing on its fringes freely. The girl shook her head in disbelief before tears started for form in her eyes.

"You continue to lie to me. Why? You won't always be there! Eventually, you'll die and it will be my fault like in my dream. Alexis was enough, but I can't lose you as well. Your right here and you reassure that everything will be fine, but that distance it still there. However, maybe you were far away you'd have a better a life and be and...and..." The girl felt this undescribable pain form in her chest as she sunk to her knees. He was trying to make her feel better and all she did was treat him like an outsider.

Laxion's irritated noise meant that he wasn't to pleased with her. Why did she still blame herself for Alexis leaving of her own free will? Ruby honestly thought that if they had more time she could have convinced her friend to stay. Its a selfish notion indeed the pain of that loneliness and fear of loss was more likely to envelope her mind. How long did she assume it was her thought when Hoard was falsely announced dead? It's difficult for her to let others in, but once she does she can't let go. His words stabbed into her trembling back like knifes because everything he was saying for some reason it was easier to deny it all. The albino had the power over her own thoughts similar to the way she could run her life. She could have rebelled against the headmaster of Hope, however, it was easier to become what he wanted. The child is so fragile and effortlessly manipulated by herself no less.

Laxion's last speech was wise and beyond his years, and she didn't bother going after him. How could he still call her friend? After a few minutes, she erected herself and dashed down the staircase. "Laxion! I'm sor-" A pure white paper contrasted with the lamp light and the male's cursive signature was written on the front of it. Walking cautiously over to it, she gently picked up the flimsy note and afterwords regretted every saying anything to her comrade. She dragged herself back up stairs, and fell into a restless sleep.

When the sun's rays seeped through her window and onto her ash covered face, she slowly opened her glossy red eyes. In almost a zombie like state, she went down stairs once again, slipped on her boots, secured her gloves to her pale arms, and grabbed her guns. With the new attire, she received new holsters that are fine black leather. Although, she missed her gold authentic hand made armor from the elves. Anything they construct is of the highest quality and possibly the rarest materials. Placing her weapons in their rightful slots, she headed out to the courtyard. Of course, she would keep her head down the whole time and her mouth shut. She was sure Laxion didn't want to speak to her, at least not right away. The two were waiting patiently in the courtyard for her, but she slowed her pace to stall for time.

Each golden column Ruby pasted, the rays of the sun clashed with her face magnified how frighten she was. If she didn't have armored gloved on, she would have chewed all of her semi-manicured nails off. The black ashed had become removed by the perspiration that now lingered on her pale skin. If she didn't face her darkest fears now then when? Entei spoke gentle to her once she was near the duo and surprising she answered truthfully. "No." Her voice was barely audible as paranoia started to started to distract her. Glancing her and there, several monks surrounded her treating her like a threat or so it would seem. However, she knew their current priorities are to help her. Furthermore, she had to realize that they couldn't make the nightmares disappear, she had the potential of controlling them herself. Entei continued to explain that Laxion set this exploration up in order to help Ruby because even if he was truly angered with her he would never abandon her. She would do the same if this situation pertained to him.

Ruby was shaking nervously, but she wouldn't retreat because losing Laxion as a friend was more terrifying. She red childish looking eyes gazed up at Laxion, her size barely higher than his hip. Looking up at him was simple because she had to literally archer her head all the way back. "What must I do?" She reassured Laxion she would be fine by smiling and hoped he would return the gesture. She quickly shifted her gaze to Entei as a pit formed in the bottom of her stomach. The darkness awaited her...

If Entei is claiming that he will be safe then she has to believe that she will be safe. Dream cannot physically hurt the user, but mentally break them and Ruby knows that's the direction she wants to avoid. The old wizard touched her shoulder gently leaving her with open knowledge to fill in the spaces. Laxion and Entei distanced themselves from her leaving her in the circle alone. The monks instead they can help, and with all the albino's might she tried to be brave by standing straight and looking forward. Unison chanting began and with minutes even though she fought it sleep was forced upon her. Her body loosened, but she remained in an up-right position.

In her dream, there whole scenery was nothing but darkness and the distorted voices of crying and moaning. The girl whipped her head around cautiously as she walked down an invisible path. In reality, she was still standing there but performing basic movements like shift her direction frequently similar to her dream. It didn't take long for the dark entity that had been haunting her to find her in the form of Alexis. At first, see the female made Ruby's eyes brighten with excitement, but when she flung herself towards her companion to hug her, she was violently pushed back.

Falling to the ground in reality, her direction faced towards the skies as if she was looking up at someone. Again, the push wasn't physically endured, but mentally she felt the pain go to her left side. She propped herself up on her arm, but stay down and waiting for the fabricated version of Alexis to make her next move. "I thought you would be glad to see me? I don't understand why you wouldn't be acting this way, Alexis?" Suddenly, she was staring down the wooden staff the blonde carried. Ruby was shaking her head in fear as tear started to form. "Please! Don't make me fight you! I can't bring myself to hurt you!" The girl exclaimed in reality. Her echo's rang throughout the courtyard.
