There is not battle system here in Nocte because I suck at mathses.
But the Gladiator fights could be a mini-dice roll game? OvO

Like to fit against each other you both roll 1 100 sided dice and whoever
gets a bigger number wins the fight. Then RP the possible situation where
one wins or not.

My sketch of him currently is like a Mesh of Legolas and Thranduil.
He's basically head of an island off the city of Nocte where most
of the nature inclined Denizens are wont to stay. Also he's like Switzerland.
Neutral most of the time.

I like points personally. Magesc has RP tallies and specifics, I think points are just easier haha.

Well I looked at other places.
Some tag RP reqs with #words = #points
but the problem is they could just be typing one entire SOLO of epicness.
And get enough points to grow. : / Which shouldn't be.

I was thinking we can still do word count tally however
there's a limit of how many points you can earn per post? O_o

Like somebody types up a 10k solo - but you're only allowed to get 2k words worth of points per solo/ RP post?

Or like This is Halloween where it's counted by number of pages in an RP with another person?

Based on the one you have up so far rp reqs look okay to me. I guess you could say 15k words and a minimum of 2 rps to force interaction. I hate page counting in reqs, sometimes a plot fades out or a promise for an rp is fine for short rp but not one long enough to count for like a 4 page requirement or something.


For the gladiator thing a simple dice roll sounds fine. Maybe allow roll modifiers so that long time fighters aren't as at risk to losing regularly to newcomers since that makes no sense icly.

Maybe every 3 fights you win or 5 you lose you get + 5 added to your future rolls ( with a max of like +30 or something after you've accumulated a ton of wins or losses). Since arena fighting won't be a major factor in the shop it's really only going to be a few people messing with that and it doesn't effect any other sort of shop balance.

Upper limit would be 100 of course since it's 1 100 sided die.

Either that or we do random number generation?

Yeah...the RPs count can be annoying too since people can just post 1 sentence per RP and have it count as a post. D: Which shouldn't be.

Also journal reflections count as how much of an RP req? So separate category?
