Nodding, Aoi followed after Alexis. Her hair was flowing around her as she swam and twirled, flipped and did somersaults in the water, showing off some. She knew right where that boat had been, though she was interested in seeing where Alexis had found first and then she'd show him where that boat was, if there was enough time in the day before night came to actually do that. She was swimming right beside, well slightly behind Alexis, and said, "I have a few places that I want to show you, though I hadn't thought of it before now. There's the boat, which I have mentioned and there was a reef that had what looked to be a box or something. There were some small sharks and rays there, though they weren't causing any trouble and I doubt they were in league with the bigger ones," she said, starting to ramble before getting back to what she had originally been talking about.
"As I was saying before I before I started rambling... That box I said about... I tried opening it, though it just wouldn't open... Though I think that it may be due to the fact that it was partially embedded in the rock and was mostly covered by sand. I don't know how long it was there. I doubt that anyone even knew it was there until I spotted it and covered it again so that no one other than I would know it was there." She finished, a bit embarrassed by how easily she could change a topic and knew that she had to be careful or she may confuse someone doing that. however, she did not let that bother her too much while she kept swimming, following Alexis and doing small flips in the water.{{ooc:}}

Alexis spun in the water, twisting as he listened to Aoi speaking. "I've found a few reefs around here, though most of them have humans swimming around them," he said with a small smile. A box hidden within a reef? Interesting, he thought as they paused just shy of the vertical shaft. "I'm almost certain that something or someone knew of this shaft at some point, as the opening out of it... well... it's natural, yet... different, not technological like what the humans prefer, yet not fully natural like a rock or something, I can't really explain it," he said with a shrug.

Aoi stopped doing flips in the water as she swam and focused on listening to Alexis. "I didn't see any humans around when I was at this reef and it was about midday, though I don't know when people come out to swim in the water. I may have missed them, though with that big, nasty Bull Shark lurking around there I doubt any humans would have come into the water. Especially not when there was all that blood... I'm surprised that I was not caught up in all what happened that day..." she said, her voice getting a bit shaky, right before she mumbled something about a baby dolphin, the bull shark and more about blood. If not for her being underwater and if not for the fact that her face was already wet there would be large, glistening tears streaming down her cheeks at the thought of the little dolphin.{{ooc:}}

Alexis tilted his head. "I've never been too fond of sharks, though the only sharks that I've gotten anywhere close to were whale sharks, nurse sharks and sand sharks, that's about it, really. I will say that if I can avoid it, I won't harm another living creature, " he said with a slight shrug as he swam into the vertical shaft, which descended into the darkness before a faint gleam of something crimson flickered in the depths; he, however, was swimming upward rather than downward.

Collecting herself, Aoi followed after Alexis, all while trying not to think of that poor dolphin. "I don't like any sharks... I know whale sharks aren't going to hurt anyone, though I still don't like them that much... And I can't hurt anything... I usually get the dolphins to get fish for me if I really have to eat things other than just vegetation." She looked down and saw crimson and was tempted to check it out, though decided that if Alexis was not going towards it then she should probably avoid it; though she still looked down at it again, curiosity burning in her eyes. With one last muse of what that crimson flicker may be Aoi swam up after Alexis so that she could see what he wanted to show her.{{ooc:}}

Alexis paused, floating just beneath what seemed to be a dark ceiling near what looked to be a round rock with a large pearl within it that stuck out of the wall. He pressed his palm to it, well aware that what followed would startle Aoi as the pearl started glowing a deep navy color as unusual symbols lit around it as a pale silvery color rippled from them. A two foot diameter hatch opened to clear bright ocean over their heads slightly to the right of center in the near twelve foot diameter 'ceiling' overhead.

When Aoi noticed Alexis stopping she was confused, due to what seemed to be a stone roof above them. Though she looked over and saw what looked to be a large round stone with a pearl in the rock. She thought that was strange enough, though what came after made her gasp and sent her eyes darting for something to hide behind, thinking that something bad would happen. However, when nothing happened other than a hatch opening she let her nerves relax and she darted upwards to see what was through the hatch. She looked back at Alexis and waited for him to come after her, since he was the one going to be showing her around and not her showing him around.{{ooc:}}

Alexis chuckled at Aoi's momentary look of startled surprise, though he swam upward a few moments after her into the short eight foot long arcing tunnel that led out into the open ocean. There was a smaller three inch diameter pearl-stone that was identical to what he'd activated before that allowed access on this side. "See what I mean by not fully technology yet not exactly 'normal' like everything else out here? I don't know where this came from or how long it's been here, but I don't mind using it if I can escape quickly from unwanted visitors whether human or otherwise," he said with a small sheepish smile.

Aoi let her eyes wander a bit as she heard Alexis speaking. "I do see what you mean. This isn't something that just formed here. It was definately put her by someone, though I wonder who would have...?" she gave in reply before looking back to Alexis.
"Do you think that there could be some sort of magic that was used? Well, if you believe in that sort of thing? I do, though I wasn't sure if you did or not." she said, not sure if humans might use magic or not, though in a place like this she doubted that humans could even reach such a place without drowning.{{ooc:}}

Alexis laughed at Aoi's question, though he thought the same thing. "It wouldn't surprise me, though the mystery is who put it here and why... for all we know there could be something we could use inside," he said thoughtfully as his gaze scanned around thoughtfully.
He noticed a glimmer of something metallic in a nearby spire of coral a few dozen feet to his right and ahead of him and blinked, glancing at Aoi before he swam towards it.

Aoi looked at the pearl-stone that looked identical to the other one and wanted to touch it, though she wasn't sure if something would happen with this one as had happened with the other one. So she decided to just turn to Alexis who had spoken to her. "We could check it out. I'd be interested in seeing what's here and then we could try figuring out what is in that box I found." she said as she looked in the direction that Alexis had swam off in; following him.{{ooc:}}

Alexis chuckled as he swam before he reacted the spire. "Sounds like a plan," he said thoughtfully. He tugged at the metallic part, finding it to be a shaft of some sort, perhaps a spear or staff. A momentary flicker of brilliant golden light flickered at the base of the coral for just a couple of seconds before part of the top of the coral broke away in a billowing cloud of dust, though Alexis was able to evade it in time.

Swimming after Alexis, Aoi stayed back some as she watched him grabbing the metal object. She noticed a bit of golden light coming from the coral, if only for a moment, before the very top of the coral broke up and came down in a cloud of coral dust. She let out a squeak and darted forward to see if everything was going to be all right. "What was that light...? And are you all right?" she asked, even though she was pretty sure that Alexis was probably as clueless about what the light was too, all while trying not to inhale the dust that had not sunk to the bottom yet.{{ooc:}}

Alexis tilted his head as he floated out of the cloud, unhurt, but coughing a bit. "No idea; I just saw it out of the corner of my eye before I heard the coral break free," he said with a shrug, concentrating before to his surprise the water directly in front of his fingers where his hand was cupped by his right hip swirled into a small sphere that glowed slightly. He shifted and focused and was mildly gratified when the water sphere fired like a bullet, hitting the coral and breaking more of it away to reveal the silver, black, and mother-of-pearl shaft sticking out of the coral.

Aoi could see that Alexis was not hurt, but his coughing didn't sound good at all. Although Aoi had a tendency to worry too much about every little thing that may potentially be wrong. "That's all right if you don't know what it was. I'm just glad you didn't get hurt... That would have been like three or so times since I came around..." she said, her tone giving away that she was partly blaming herself for him getting hurt, even if it was in no way her fault.{{ooc:}}
